Across the battlefield from the Shepherds the leader of the Plegian forces sat upon his Wyvern and sighed, his reinforcements hadn't arrived and the coward that had betrayed the Ylissians had been cut down rather quickly which was rather boring, however as the battle progressed his frustrations grew the Ylissean dogs were cutting through his forces and his riders were tied up with a single Pegasus, in an attempt to curb his growing rage he looked over the edge of his axe picturing it covered with Ylissean blood… This did nothing but make him more impatient.

As he looked into the clean steel he caught a glimpse of an approaching winged shadow "Finally… These doves will fall and the emblem will finally be in its rightful place, Plagia" he gripped the reins of his wyvern and took to the skies, two of his Riders had fallen to magic and arrows and that annoying Pegasus knight was pulling back toward… He smirked, healers, easy targets. He turned his Wyvern towards them craving the kill.

Back across the battlefield Corrin leapt back grimacing as she landed on her injured leg, a lucky strike from what seemed to be a thief had left her hobbled, she parried a clumsy axe strike from a brigand before attempting to disengage again "Corrin! On your left!" she threw herself to the side as a bolt of lightning struck her attacker, for a moment she simply lay there staring at the sky the sounds of combat becoming dull and distant the pain across her body fading away to an ache… then darkness.

"…Healer! Over here!" Corrin could hear a voice at the edge of senses Who? She could hear nothing beyond the voice filled with panic, the last time she had felt this way it had been Azura's voice… Why did it still hurt? Her consciousness faded once more.

Robin paced around the healers tent, thankfully there weren't many casualties but… the fighting had dragged on and the enemy captain wounding Maribelle had only served to further draw the fight out factor in the recovery of the injured after the fight and the Shepards were exhausted, a moment's respite would do them all good, after her third pass she felt a hand on her arm when she turned she was surprised to see the Exalt standing there.

"You should rest, the Shepherds need their Tactician" Emmeryn had a concerned look in her eyes "And my Brother needs someone who understands what he's going through right now" Her look softened as her eyes drifted towards the tent, Robin couldn't help but note that they lingered a little longer before leaving, after a moment's hesitation she turned to find those that had been instrumental in turning the tide.

It took more time than she would have liked, maybe it was the exhaustion or maybe it was the throbbing in the back of her head, but she found the Shepherds scouts resting near the edge of the camp, Nico had a bandage around his hand, Whisper was out of her armour with a bandage around her stomach, their mage was passed out with a bottle of wine… Robin began to wonder where she had procured it from but then realised she had probably got it from Anna, it was then she noticed two unfamiliar individuals playing cards.

They looked similar so they were probably related; both had wild dark crimson hair with pale skin their eyes however were completely different one pale blue the other paler green, they wore armour similar to the fallen Wyvern riders but in Ylissean blue Robin looked to Nico for answers, as if sensing her gaze Nico opened one eye and looked to her "Ah… The woman of the hour, how are things going?"

"It's going fine… uh… I wanted to thank you for helping out and ask who your friends are." Something about Nico's eye caused Robin to look away, His gaze was intense.

"Oh… was that all?" He closed his eye "Cain, Lucas don't you know it's impolite to not introduce yourself to our wonderful Tactician?" Robin felt the heat creep to her cheeks as the brothers set their cards down, now they were facing her she could see that One had a scar under his right eye while the Other had one side of his hair shaved short, both of them awkwardly looked at each other before the one with the scar spoke.

"Well… Nice to meet ya, I'm Lucas one of the forward scouts" He lowered his head with a smile, his voice was… casual and relaxed, then his brother spoke.

"The pleasure is ours Lady Robin names Cain, saw the way those dogs were thrown around, if that was your handy work then I can say I'm glad to call your our Tactician" Cain spoke with a slightly noble accent that was reminisce of the knights in Ylisstol, Robin nodded to both of them before speaking.

"A pleasure to meet you both, I don't think the praise was necessary but thank you… if not for your help I feel as though the battle would have been more costly" Robin's eyes followed the form of a redheaded Pegasus knight that had joined them at the end of the battle as she spoke, the knight had been rather distraught and after she had calmed she had explained that the border had fallen and that her sisters had sent her to warn the Exalt, since then she had simply been aimlessly wandering around the camp with a distant look on her face, upon seeing her make her fourth pass Robin sighed and excused herself to check on her, as she approached the knight looked up.

"Oh… I'm sorry are there orders?" Her voice carried a distanced tone and her eyes held a forlorn look, it was painful.

"No… I was wondering if you… were feeling any better" Robin sat next to her as she did she could see Phila looking their way, the captain of the Exalts guard looked thankful and concerned.

The red headed knight sighed "How could I? I heard the screams of my sisters as they were cut down by Gangrel's forces… I don't think…" She trailed off; as she did Robin followed her gaze and sighed, the look in her eyes was one she knew well, it was the look of longing and it was directed at Chrom.

Robin stood "I'm no expert but I'm sure it will pass, all things do…" She looked down to the knight "I'm sorry I didn't catch your name" The knight looked up.

"Oh… I guess you were focused on recovery when I arrived, my name is Cordelia" She sighed and stood "I'm proud to be working with you and Prince Chrom, I'll try to focus myself so as not to slow you down" Robin smiled.

"With an attitude like that I don't think you're going to slow us down" Cordelia smiled and nodded before heading towards the Pegasi, as she did Robin made her way towards the medical tent her pace doubled when she heard raised voices.
