Chapter Theme: Peace Sign, Cover by Johnathan Young

(sorry, I just love music with sharp major and minor scales)

Meanwhile in the throne room

"Farewell fell star." Solon said turning away from to turn towards my students. "Solon, your test subjects can wait." Thales said, still grasping onto his wound from my redirection of his bolting magic attack. "Peh, if you cannot muster the strength to heal yourself then call on your healers, I am only a dark mage and my subjects can never wait as there are always test to run." He said walking closer to my students, his cloak fluttering a moment in his hasty movement.

"Solon you will obey my orders and address your ruler's wounds!" Thales said. "You may rule the pitiful Argarthians, I am only accountable for myself, I cooperate only for my benefit, you are no longer needed in my plan. I have my subjects and you have your world." He said continuing his approach. "Traitorous bastard!" Thales shouted.

Solon looked over to the discarded Sword of the Creator. He picked it up and placed it in the middle of where the ritual had taken place. "This will mark where your professor fell." He said chuckling to himself as he turned to face my students again.

Meanwhile in the darkness

"Ryoma, Xander. I don't have the Yato, I was shattered to pieces before I was imprisoned in this darkness." I spoke, "How will Siegfried and the Raijinto be able to help me when I'm not even in the same physical plane as the remains of the Yato?" I asked.

"Hey now, you're forgetting about my Brynhildr." Leon chimed in. "And my Fujin Yumi." Takumi added. "Even still." I insisted.

"You far underestimate the magical power between our weapons and the connection with the Yato." Ryoma said holding his sword out with Xander, Takumi, and Leo doing the same with their weapons. I could feel the magical energy emanate from them and not only flow through me but like a river finding the crack in the darkness that had been sucked in through.

Back in the throne room

Solon continued to laugh to himself. "Wait, what's that?" Some of my students said. They watched as magical energy emanated not only from where the sword of the creator was placed but all through out the room as it found the pieces of the destroyed Yato blade. "It's the professor!" Edelgard said relieved.

"Impossible! Nothing can escape the dark spell of Zahras!" Solon said surprised.

As the energy continued to emanate the pieces of the Yato gathered at the Sword of the creator and all being seemingly sucked into the darkness. Even thought the blades were gone the magical energy continued to pour into the room.

Darkness again

I watched as the pieces of the Yato and the Sword of the creator emerged into the darkness as the magical energy poured into them.

"This is the true power between these weapons." Ryoma said, "Sothis, would you combine your power with ours?" He asked. "What would my power do?" Sothis asked. "It will allow for the remains of the Yato to combine with the Sword and become a new blade. Becoming a blade that not only can change fate, but also cut through this darkness, being so strong that no darkness can quell the light within it." Ryoma explained.

Sothis nodded as she approached the group. She placed her hand on the piled weapons channeling her magical power into the weapons. Slowly they all raised their arms to a now floating Sword of the creator letting the magical energy pour into it and the shards of the Yato.

"Drake this is your part." Sothis said gesturing for me to stand in the center of the magical incantation. I moved towards to the center of the group being closed in by all from both royal families and Sothis. I looked up and watched as the shards of the Yato merged with the sword of the creator.

"This will be our final goodbye, although you are not Corrin, you remind me so much of her (or him since we got fallen male corrin since I began writing that story) Xander said. "Promise me, you'll bring this world into a new era of peace that we were unable to do for our world?" He pleaded with me. "I will, I promise." I nodded in affirmation. Allowing his apparition to fade allowing him to rest easy.

After the energy of all add been added to the new blade, they all gave me one last look before fading away like Xander had. Once again Sothis and I were left in the darkness as the blade lowered into my hands. "You know we still need to merge?" She asked. I nodded as I looked over the new blade I held. "Tell me, what do you plan to call this new blade?" she asked.

"Well at the end of the revelations path of fates (Spoilers for those not aware of the true ending of a game that came out 6 years ago) the Yato would transform into the Omega Yato so I figured I would blend the names together like the "Omega Creator" you know?" I replied. "If that is what you wish." Sothis said, "Raise your hand." She spoke. I obeyed and raised my hand as she placed her hand against mine. "With my power becoming only yours, this blade will grant you the powers you truly desire acting as your way between this world and yours." She said, "Promise me you'll take care of your students and give them the future they want." She asked before turning into magical particles embedding within me. "I will!" I nodded as a tear rolled down my face. "Good luck." She smiled as she disappeared.

With the new surge of power in me, resulting in a green streak of hair, the light enveloping Omega faded leaving me with a blade that looked like a fusion of the two. While the immensity of the sword was shortened a bit being part Yato it also dawned the saw like features that the Omega Yato would have.

I whipped my wrist extending the sword into the whip form it retained from the sword of the creator but the difference being saw like blades rotating around each segment of the sword. "Cool!" I said as grin spreading on my face.

Magical energy emanated around me as I whipped up a storm with my new blade seemingly obliterating the nothingness around me.

In the throne room

After a couple minutes a wind seemed to fill the throne room as I appeared back where I had been banished from.

"I-impossible, nothing can escape the dark spell of Zahras, is this the work of the Goddess?" Solon questioned.

"You can bet your sorry ass it is!" I said charging him with my new blade. Quickly Solon through up a barrier spell much like the lacky did when the sword of the creator had been found. But the second the Omega Creator contacted the spell the barrier shattered. My blade continued its course slashing through Solon. With Solon's demise the barrier holding my students was lifted many raced to embrace me two of them being Edelgard and Bernadetta.

"Professor!" many cried out. "Hey not the time, once we're done with Thales then we can celebrate." I said breaking free from the crowd. "Keep you eyes on him and his attacks and let's win this!" I said leading the charge.

Thales tried all he could, sending all the forces he could, but he could not stop our charge and soon I held my blade towards him as he was still grasping his wound from earlier.

"You think stopping me will save this world, there will be others that will follow after me!" He shouted.

"Shut the hell up dude." I said with one fell swipe, my blade severed his head beheading him. "So, sick of his ramblings." I sighed, falling to my knees both out of exhaustion and nerves.

"Professor?" I heard one of my students ask. "Yes?" I replied. "Is what he said true?" Someone else asked.

I nodded, while slowly getting up to my feet. "There will always be someone to try and take others freedom and prosperity, someone will always ruin the peace. But in the meantime, once we are finished with Nemesis' forces, we will be issuing a new era of peace. Now come on, lets go stop the fighting outside." I said gesturing for the students to stop the fighting in Enbarr and eventually the rest of the country.

"El?" I said, turning to her. "We did it, professor!" She said a tear running down her face as she ran towards me to embrace me. "Oh, El." I said embracing her. "What happened while you were in… uh… there?" she asked, wiping her tears away. I smiled. "I saw some old faces and Sothis." I paused, "But with their help I was able to get my new sword." I said showing it off to her. "Is that what happened when your sword disappeared?" She asked. I shrugged, "I guess, I have no idea what happened out here during all of that, but what matters is that none of you were harmed." I said embracing her again.

Edelgard looked up to me seeing the solemn look that crossed my face. "Is something wrong?" She asked reaching her had out to examine the green stroke that was added to my hair. I shook my head, "No, everything is fine." I said trying to put my false smile back on.

It hurt holding back the fact I lost someone close to me, even though Sothis and I were now one in the same being, it hurt none the less not being able to hear her voice in my head. But it hurt lying to my beloved Edelgard. I knew my purpose in hiding it from her, but I could tell from the pout on her face that she could see through my fake smile.

"Professor?" She questioned, her pouty face staring very intently at me. "Its nothing." I said, "Nothing you should worry yourself about." I said stroking her head, "Besides, we should focus on something different before we have to head back to Garreg Mach." I said turning towards the empty throne in the ruined throne room. "Shall we?" I said gesturing towards the throne. Edelgard nodded and turned and walked towards her throne.

She stopped. "Wait, Professor!" she said turning to face me again, "We do not have someone to officiate the ceremony." She said looking down slightly. "Don't worry about that part. I can officiate." I said walking over to the disturbing head of Thales taking the crown from his head. I shuddered as I cleaned the crown. I approached Edelgard with the sullied crown.

"Sorry it's still a bit dirty." I apologized. "It's fine Drake, go ahead." She said kneeling before me. "As you wish." I spoke.

"With the power invested in me as the… I guess god of this world. I Drake Eisner bestow you, Edelgard von Hresvelg, with the crown to the Adrestian throne, blessing you with the power and authority over this nation. May you be the one who will bring peace to not only to your nation but with your neighboring nations as well. Not through force, but with diplomatic reasoning. With this power, I bestow you with your crown." I said, placing the crown upon her head. She stood up and took her seat upon her throne. "May your reign be long and prosperous not only to your subjects, but to all who will or have known you." I said kneeling to her.

"You may stand now." She said standing from her throne. She gestured one of the few servants that were around to come to her. "Please take this to my quarters, I will return for it once I have finished my time at the officer's academy." She said removing her crown and handing it to the servant. "Of course, your highness!" The servant said bowing before taking their leave.

"Well, with that all we have left is to take down Nemesis." I said turning to exit the throne room. "Are you ready to go El?" I asked, she nodded. "Professor?" she asked, as she caught up to me. "Yes El?" I replied. "What is this green streak in your hair?" She asked. I looked away as I answered. "I'd… I'd rather not talk about it right now." I said, my tone sounding sad.

"Lady Edelgard, I have brought word that the fighting on both fronts has ceased." Hubert said approaching us. "Ah, professor Drake, I see your appearance has taken to another change, I hope you will enlighten us with the details at a later time. For right now, we have also gotten word of strange forces making there way towards Garreg Mach." Hubert informed us. "Then we should gather our forces and return to Garreg Mach to bolster their defenses so we can have the upper hand fighting Nemesis." I instructed. "Right away professor, I will hurry and get word out." Hubert said, bowing and taking his leave.

"We should go help and try and heal any of those who were wounded." I said, turning to Edelgard, she nodded. As we began our trek down in to Enbarr.

Meanwhile.

"Serios!" Nemesis said to himself. "Our last battle ended over a millennia ago, I may have fallen during that battle, but I will destroy you with all the power I stole from that dreaded mother of yours." He monologued. With his statement he began a cackling laugh that seemed to echo across the land of Fódlan sending shivers up anyone's spine who heard it.
