Portgas D. Naruto
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Naruto asked back as he stood at the front of a ship
Luffy nodded. And the older sighed, "Alright, but no fighting! Either of you two!" Naruto told Ace and Luffy as he walked up to the giant gate in front of him
"Hey those are the Gates of Justice! No way you're going to get through!" Some tied up Marines yelled at the King of the Pirates as a blade slowly came down and then was positioned beside one of there heads
The man holding the sword smiled, "I wouldn't sell the kid short. He's a lot like his dad so I'd keep my mouth shut if I were you." Rayleigh told the Marines as they all began to sweat
Naruto exhaled as he brought his hand up and made a fist he then let haki cover his fist before he focused and then cracks began to form on his black fist and a bright red energy began to form in said cracks. Rayleigh smiled at the sight. 'So they kid learned advanced armament haki eh?' He thought to himself
'Here we go!' Echoed in Naruto's mind as he extended his fist towards the closed gates
All the Marines watched with wide eyes as they all saw the giant gates began to crack before the gates were completely blown open. "Alright let's go! To Marineford!"
At Marineford. . .
"Wow to think that a New Pirate King has been crowned!" A reporter spoke to another as she nodded
She responded, "Yeah that Portgas D. Naruto is sure something. He and Whitebeard brought forth the next era, who's to know what happens next!"
The man smiled, "I don't know what it is but I'm sure they'll put on a show for the world!" They two reporters then took their attention away from the rebuilding of Marineford and looked over to some commotion going on right above one of the Marine's cannon batteries
"Woah one of ours coming in hot!" A Marine yelled out
Another brought up a spyglass and looked onto the ship that now began to sail around the island and immediately dropped it to the ground and had wide eyes and a slack jaw. "N-no way!" He exclaimed with pure shock
"What is it men!" A Vice-Admiral asked as he ran down to the position of the Marines
"Sir out there! In that vessel! I-it's. . ." One of them began as the Vice Admiral raised his spyglass and followed the ship with it
He too went wide eyed, "It's Strawhat Luffy and Firefist Ace!" The Vice Admiral yelled out
As he said that every reporter on the island ran towards them and looked out and brought out cameras. "Who are they with!?" Another Marine asked as they began to shoot over cannonballs
The cannonballs were all intercepted by small stones and they exploded. "I-It's Dark King Rayleigh! The former first mate of the Roger Pirates!"
"Keep firing!" The Vice Admiral ordered
More cannonballs were sent out towards the hijacked Marine vessel before a giant wave went up in front of the fire and each cannonball exploded inside of the water. "It's Sea Knight Jinbei!" A Marine yelled out
"They're going around the island! It's like a funeral at sea!" Another explained as he pointed at the ship
However the Vice Admiral was not having any of it. "K-Keep firing on the group!" He ordered as a chill went down his spine and everyone froze
"Now we wouldn't want that, won't we!" Spoke a voice as a mass of steam began to form behind the Vice-Admiral as a hand landed on his shoulder
All the Marines and reporters froze in fear as the face of the man began to form from the steam. "I-I-It's P-Portgas D. Naruto! The Pirate King!" One of the Marines screamed as everyone on the island froze in shock
The hijacked Marine ship did their lap around the island and began to pull into the harbour as Ace and Luffy got off, with both Jinbei and Rayleigh sticking by the ship and waiting for their return. "So Vice Admiral, we just came for a little visit. I hope you guys don't mind." Naruto said as the Vice Admiral froze over with ice as the Pirate King joined his brothers and they walked through the island until they reached a ravine that Whitebeard had made when he possessed the Gura Gura no mi.
The three stood there for a moment in silence as the reporters following them ran around the ravine to take a picture. Marines behind them would not dare move as they all watched with swords drawn as the three brothers took off their hats to pay respect to the fallen. Luffy also ripped off some bandages on his arm which revealed a crossed out 3D and in its place a 2Y.
"P-Pirate King!" One of the reporters yelled out to Naruto as they turned to leave
Naruto looked back to the reporters. "Hm?" He inquired
"Is it true!? Can anyone sail out to the Grandline!? Can anyone find the One Piece!?" The reporter yelled as all the others looked on in awe
Naruto chuckled before he began to openly laugh. He turned back to face the reporter with a wide grin, "It's true! Anyone can! If you have a dream, follow it through! Wether you're an explorer or a pirate always follow your dreams! Now if you're looking for the One Piece. . .then come find me! At the end of the Grandline! At Laugh-Tale! And there, and only there will you be able to claim it!"
He then turned the opposite way and walked back to where Rayleigh and Jinbei were waiting with Ace and Luffy so that they could return to the sea.
On the Kuja Pirate Ship. . .
"Hancock, we need you to take Luffy and I to the island now." Rayleigh told the Pirate Empress
She grabbed the side of his face and began to pull at it in every which way. "You don't tell me what to do Rayleigh! I'll think about it if Luffy asks and that's only because he's Naruto's little brother!" Hancock exclaimed
Naruto sighed, "Hancock, its time to go to the island." He told her as she gushed and ordered her crew to take them there
It took a few minutes but eventually the Kuja Ship docked at the island and the Great Wave soon followed, following from behind since they had regrouped with the Kuja. As the group got off they all said their goodbyes on the beach.
"Alright Luffy, so you're positive this is what you want to do?" Naruto asked his littlest brother as he nodded
"I need to get stronger! How can I protect my crew when we go to the New World if I can't protect them in Paradise!" Luffy exclaimed as he brought his hand into a fist
Ace nodded, "I do too! I can't lose to trash like Teach anymore!" The second brother yelled out along side him
Naruto laughed, "Well if that's the case then I guess I'll see you in the New World Luffy! I hop you get strong! I'll be waiting for you at the end of the Grandline!" He told the younger one as they both grinned at one another
"Big bro?" Ace asked Naruto
"What is it Ace?" Naruto diverted his attention over to him
Ace looked down before cracking a small smile, "If it's all the same with you I want to go with you back to the East Blue and see mom. And after I want to travel with you for a bit and learn from you and get stronger!" Ace told his older brother
"Ah! So you're finally warming up to the idea of travelling with me eh?" Naruto voiced to him as Ace chuckled
He shrugged, "Well if someone as lame as you can become King of the Pirates then you must have some sort of secret, one i want to learn!" He finished as Naruto began to fume before he jumped at his brother
The two then started to scuffle and get into their own little cloud of dust as the two bandaged men threw fists at one another. Luffy then laughed before he too dived into the scuffle and started throwing punches as well. It then got bad enough when Luffy got punched back by the other two and slammed into a tree and Ace and Naruto stopped their punching and just stared at one another.
"You wanna go hot head!?" Naruto asked Ace as moisture in the air began to collect around his fist before ice formed up his fore arm and a sphere of water was created around his fist
"You bet ice cubes!" Ace retorted as his fist was lit on fire
Lucy began to get angry before she swiped Russ's gun from his back holster and walked up to the two. "Knock it off!" She yelled as she swung it at both of their heads and knocked them back
"Y-you know. . . t-that n-navigator of y-yours. . .I-is quite s-scary!" Ace told his brother as he nodded
After regaining his composer and rising from his prone position, Naruto shook his head as he had one last conversation with Rayleigh before he set off. "Rayleigh I can't thank you enough for helping in training Luffy." He spoke as Rayleigh just waved him off
"It's no problem kid." He responded
"You know, you were always like a father figure to me Rayleigh. . . and I hope you can be the same for Luffy too." Naruto told him with a small smile as Rayleigh wiped a tear from his eye
He smiled, "Thank you Naruto." He told him as Naruto grinned and began to walk back to the Great Wave with his crew
"See ya later Luffy! Old man! You better become strong Luffy!" Naruto exclaimed as they began to leave the island
Boa then fell to her knees and called out to him. "Narutoooo! You forgot me my king!" She called on him
"Next time Boa!" He yelled back as she began to get all happy
"Did you hear that! Next time we meet we'll get married!" She exclaimed as Naruto was too far away and couldn't hear
A Few Days Later. . .
"You're positive none of them will fear us Naruto-gara?" Pedro asked his captain as he looked back at the mink
He laughed and waved his hand. "Nah, don't worry! Everyone in Foosha Village is super kind! Plus they know you're all with me so we'll be fine!" Naruto explained as they continued to sail towards the small village
"It's just. . . given my. . .irregular appearance, especially in this part of the world. I don't know how the people of your village will react." The mink continued, as Naruto threw an arm around him
"Eh so what if they get scared of you! I'll fight for your case buddy! You're my friend!" Naruto told him as Pedro smiled
Eventually the rest of the submarine emerged from the water as they arrived at the gulf of the island. "Hey there it is!" Ace yelled out in excitement as he couldn't wait to see everyone
"Indeed! Everyone time to bring this thing to a stop!" Lucy ordered as the rest of the crew ran around and prepared the ship to stop
The ship then came to the old docks and stopped, everyone in the village began to gather as a metal surface descended to the dock which allowed the crew to walk off. "Oi everyone come quick! Naruto is back!" One townsperson yelled out as the Pirate King walked down the ramp
His crew descended behind him too with Ace and everyone of them were welcomed by the village. "Hey let's here it for Naruto! The New King of the Pirates! He saved Ace from the Government!" Another yelled out as they all cheered
The Whirlpool Pirates began to get into a party with the towns folk as Naruto grabbed his brother and they snuck off to their mother's house. They walked only for a few minutes because their mother's house was not too far away. As they arrived at the house they were greeted by the sight of bed of flowers of various colours littered all across the green yard. A white wooden fence divided the road from the flowers and grass, the fence itself was nothing more than decoration rather than actually trying to keep anything out. The brothers walked all the way up to the wooden gate before Naruto reached out and flipped it open, they then proceeded forward until they got to the door.
They walked up the porch and as Naruto went to knock on the door the door opened. He looked down slightly and locked eyes with his mother. "I've been expecting the both of you!" She told them happily
Her eyes then turned to the younger of the two. "Sweet heart, what did I tell you about getting hurt?" Rouge said sweetly as Ace began to sweat vigorously
"U-um. . .uh u-um. . .n-not t-to . . ." He managed to get out as he began to crack under pressure
She then brought her gaze back to the oldest. "And what were you thinking about declaring to the world that you found the One Piece?" She asked him with a raised brow as Naruto began to crack under the pressure
"W-well. . .I-I. . .uh. . ." He tried to speak
She then chuckled, "You're both so much like your father, always making huge declarations and getting hurt." She told them as they followed her back into the house
Rouge then stopped, an action which both Ace and Naruto copied as he stepped to them and hugged both of her sons. "I'm so happy that you're both safe! You have no idea how worried I was!" She began to cry as the two brother hugged her back
"You shouldn't worry so much mom, I'm not a little kid anymore- ow!" Ace managed to get out before Naruto hit him over the head
He smiled, "Shut up idiot!"
"Oh! And sweet heart, before I forget I want to give you both something!" Rouge told the boys as she ran off into the basement of the house
Ace looked at his brother, "I wonder what it is?" He questioned out loud
"Beats me." Naruto responded
After a few minutes she came back and handed a package to Ace wrapped in paper. "What is it?" He asked his mother
"Open it!" She told him with glee
Ace cooperated and unwrapped the paper and smiled as he pulled out the item inside. "It's a spyglass!" He exclaimed with a smile
"Not just any ordinary spyglass! It was your father's old one, and the special thing about it is that it allows the user to see through it during the night and the image is as clear as day! Roger even told me that sometimes he was able to even look through solid walls with it! He went on to say that he was told that it ate a Devil-Fruit." Rouge explained to Ace who held it up to his eye and looked through it in wonder
He grinned, "Wow that's so cool!" He exclaimed. He went on to look with her with a smile, "Thank you mom!" He thanked as Rouge smiled
She then turned to her eldest child. "Naruto open yours!" She told him as Naruto nodded
"Yea!" He said as he began to peel back the paper before he went wide eyed. "I-is this what I think it is!?" Naruto questioned out loud as Rouge chuckled, Ace tried to peep over his brother's shoulders to try and catch a look.
Rouge nodded, "It's your fathers sword, one of the 12 supreme grade swords of our world! It's name is the Shi no Furea, meaning the Flare of Death!"
Naruto gripped the sword in its sheath hard. "Dad!" He spoke, he then looked up with a smile
"Thank you mom!" He said as he hugged her
Rouge chuckled as she began to walk to the kitchen. "Well sit down you two, I trust you want something to eat." She spoke as they both nodded
As the two brothers began to walk forward, Naruto saw a mattress slide on the floor which Ace fell on. The Captain of the Whirlpool Pirates sighed as he bent down to look at Ace. "He's asleep. . .I thought he got past this." Naruto said as Rouge laughed
"You know I'm amazed that you can predict that mom." Naruto told her
She smiled, "Well you are my sons, who would know better than your mother!" She happily exclaimed
Naruto sat down as Rouge gave him some food to eat, Naruto looked it over before beginning to stuff his face. "So what's your plan now honey? Are you going to stay here with your mommy!?" She teased him as Naruto laughed
"No not that, I think that we'll travel. Believe it or not we have never travelled Paradise as a crew before and I'd like to do that. For so long I've been so focused with my goals and dreams that I've never once thought of what my crew wants." Naruto told his mother as she smiled
"That's a great idea!" She voiced with a grin
He then continued to eat as his mother walked around the table and turned Ace over on his back and then put a blanket over him. "Will Ace be coming with you? Ever since you were a child you would always tell me on how all of your brothers would join you on the sea." Rouge asked her son
The King of the Pirates looked at his brother before looking back at his mother. "He has no obligation to join me, besides from now on things will be more dangerous than ever. He may be strong but I'm not sure if it will be safe for him if he were to come on my ship. Anyway I better be on my way, if Marines or Pirates find out I'm here then they will no doubt come looking. Pirates will be especially nasty, maybe even trying to pillage the village." He told her with a serious face
"You know, you're a lot like your father. But, I'd say you act more like that Joy Boy fellow he told me about long ago. Even though you told me you had focused on your goals of finding the ancient weapons you still did that for a selfless reason. Selflessness Roger had told me that the character Joy Boy had in spades." Rouge said to him as Naruto smiled and looked up
He chuckled before keeping his previous smile, 'The original D huh. I truly wish I could meet him.' Naruto thought as he heard a gasp behind him after he had got up and headed for the door
"Ah so you're up!" Rouge exclaimed as Ace panted lightly
Ace's eyes then connected with his brother's form. "What do you think you're doing?! Leaving me here!?" He questioned his brother before getting back to is feet. "You wouldn't let me go back to the Whitebeard Pirates and now you think you can keep me here!? Listen I got a question for you jack ass!" Ace continued as Naruto looked back
"Let me join your crew!" He finished as Naruto smiled
The Pirate King turned around, "And why would you want to join my crew?" He asked his brother
"Because I owe you for saving me back in Marineford. A-and well there's still so much I haven't seen of this world and I wouldn't mind doing it with my best friend!" Ace voiced as Naruto smiled
He laughed, "Well why not, but I'm warning you I don't just hand out the title of Commander on my ship Ace!" Naruto told him
A Few Days Later. . .
"Chore boy! Get out here!" Lucy yelled as a man ran out from within the ship
Buckets and scrubbers banged together as he made his way onto the deck. "This is a joke! I was the Commander of the 2nd Division on Whitebeard's ship! Why am I the chore boy!?" Ace questioned to the crew who was relaxing on the deck of the Great Wave
"This aint Whitebeard's ship." Russ told him as Reeve laughed
"Ah don't worry, it's not too bad!"Reeve told him
"Oi! Guys! We got an island dead ahead!" Gem yelled down from the helm as the crew ran to the front of the ship
Ace took his spyglass out from the apron that Lucy had made him wear during his time as chore boy and looked out towards the island. "It's Lougetown!" He exclaimed with awe
"Bought time we reached here! Alright, everyone get ready to dock! This is the last stop we'll make before Alabasta!" Naruto told his crew as they all ran into position
Sorry for the late update everyone! This chapter is a little bit shorter then the last one and I do apologize. I have been planning to have like a one chapter per island type deal instead of just doing a 2 year time skip. I feel this way I'll be able to maybe give the characters more depth and maybe add a little bit more to the world of One Piece! Anyway the next chapter will be out soon!
