Ellie Bishop: indeed they are.
Guest 2.0: I disagree. Not only was the 'You have failed this universe' line a forced and contrived attempt at ripping off Tony Stark's 'I am Iron Man' moment from Endgame, it was OOC for Oliver. 'You have failed this city' is not so much a quip as it was a warning to whichever scumbag he was currently dealing with. Oliver has never been particularly quippy, so him saying that was really strange. It was just super cringey.
Guest: Hi.
The Waveridder
The Legends made their way into the cockpit as an alarm was blaring, one that usually only went off when something really bad was going on.
"What's happening?" Nate asked.
"A temporal anomaly has been detected," Gideon said as her holographic head appeared.
"What kind of anomaly?" Sara demanded.
"Unknown. But the origin of it is December, 2019," Gideon revealed.
Camp Half-Blood
Same time
Percy gasped as his eyes snapped open, his breathing coming out in short, ragged bursts. As he sat up, breathing heavily, he realized he was in the Poseidon Cabin back at camp. He looked around, bewildered. The last thing he remembered was being on the ground, watching as Clark and Atlas duked it out. How had he ended up back at camp, he wondered. Seeing his Camp Half-Blood shirt nearby, Percy picked it up and put it on before walking out the door.
Walking out the door, Percy paused as he saw campers walking about like it was just an ordinary day. A few stopped to wave at him as Percy walked around, trying to make sense of what was happening. He stopped as he spotted a familiar face, a face that was almost as familiar to him as his own.
"Annabeth," he called out and girlfriend looked over at him, raising an eyebrow.
"You're up early for once," Annabeth said, a teasing smirk on her lips.
"Annabeth, what happened? Did you get through to Luke?" Percy asked urgently as he made his way over to her.
"Luke? Percy…what are you talking about?" Annabeth asked cautiously, a look of complete bewilderment in her grey eyes.
Percy stared at her for a few moments, the truth slowly dawning on him. Annabeth didn't know what he was talking about, clearly had no memory of the Crisis, somehow.
"I need to talk to Chiron," Percy muttered before running off, leaving Annabeth staring after him in bewilderment.
Central City
Same time
After the explosion and bright light, Barry had somehow found himself wondering the streets of Central City in regular clothes. He had no idea how he ended up here, he just found himself standing on the street. Did this mean Oliver had beaten Kronos? And where were Oliver and the others? These were the questions that plagued Barry's mind as he walked the streets.
Finding himself outside Jitters, Barry looked inside and nearly started. Cisco, Caitlin and Ralph were sitting at a table, laughing and drinking coffee. At human speed, Barry opened the door and rushed in.
"Hey Barry, where you been?" Ralph said as they spotted him.
"Thank God you guys are okay," Barry said in relief as he reached their table.
"Of course. Why wouldn't we be okay?" Caitlin asked confused as Barry stared at her trying to understand what was going on.
"You know, the Crisis? The one that's been going the last few days," Barry said but the three of them only looked confused. "You guys don't remember the world coming apart? Kronos? I almost died, you thought I was dead? This ringing any bells?"
"What the frak is a Kronos?" Cisco asked and Barry stared at them, the truth slowly dawning on him.
"You guys don't remember, do you?" Barry asked lowly.
"Remember what?" Ralph asked confused.
"Barry, you're not making any sense," Caitlin said concerned.
"Wait, was there another crossover? How come we weren't invited?" Cisco complained.
Barry was silent, his mind whirling. They didn't remember the Crisis. Was he on another Earth? Or had the battle with Kronos done this somehow? Barry needed to find out.
Without another word to his friends, he turned and rushed out the door, leaving the three of staring after him in confusion.
Star City
Not long after
In the bunker, the elevator door opened up and Sara and Ray entered the Arrow lair.
"Oliver! Oliver!" Sara called out, looking around for him.
"Sara, doesn't look like anyone's here," Ray pointed out.
"Sara?"
The pair whirled around, seeing Diggle walk over.
"Dig, thank God you're okay," Sara said in relief as she rushed over, hugging him.
"I'm fine Sara, we're all fine," Diggle said confused as he spotted Ray over her shoulder. "Why aren't you wearing glasses?"
"Glasses? Dig, it's me, Ray. Ray Palmer," Ray said as Sara pulled back, looking at Diggle startled.
"I know Ray Palmer, you're not him. You going through some kind of identity crisis or something?" Diggle asked as Ray and Sara exchanged a glance.
"How can he not know me?" Ray asked startled.
"We all know you Clark."
Sara paled, the blood leaving her face as she heard the sound of the voice behind her. Slowly, she turned around and saw who was standing a few feet from her.
It was her sister. She knew immediately that it wasn't Black Siren. There was a warmth and kindness in her eyes that Sara had never seen from Black Siren.
"Sara, you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost," Laurel asked in concern.
Sara did not answer, making her way over to Laurel as if in a trance. Then, without warning, she gripped Laurel in a pierce hug, clinging to her as if she was afraid Laurel would disappear. Laurel looked over at Ray for an explanation but Ray seemed to be in too much shock to even speak.
He didn't know what had happened, but one thing was clear: something had changed the world.
Star Labs
Later in the morning
Barry was in the hallway, trying to open up the Time Vault. But it wasn't opening, to his shock.
"What is happening?" Barry wondered in bewilderment.
"Barry?"
Startled, Barry looked over, seeing Harry standing a few feet from him.
"Harry?" Barry said cautiously and Harry shot him a strange look.
"Since when do you call me by Cisco's nickname?' Harry said carefully.
"You don't remember either," Barry said, his hopes crushed.
"No, he doesn't."
Startled, the pair whirled around, seeing J'onn walk over in his human disguise.
"I'm relieved to see that you're both okay," J'onn said.
"J'onn? You remember?" Barry asked and J'onn nodded.
"I know you must be confused, Kara and I were as well. But it happened. It all happened," J'onn said grimly.
"Okay, what happened? The last thing I remember was seeing Oliver and Kronos fight, then I ended up here in Central City? Where are we? And why are we the only ones who remember any of this?" Barry asked letting his frustration show.
"I have only a theory, but, from what the Pariah told us, the first time the multiverse was created, it was because of the battle between the gods and Titans. I believe the battle between Oliver and Kronos caused it to happen once more. One of the side effects seems to be that our earths have merged together, with some differences. Earth-96's Superman and Lois Lane have replaced those from my Earth, while the Harrison Well from Earth-2 has replaced the one from your earth," J'onn explained as he looked over at the bewildered Harry. "As to why we remember it all, I believe it is because we were there when it all happened."
"And because we were there, we weren't affected when the multiverse changed," Barry muttered and J'onn nodded.
"Excuse me, did you say gods and Titans?" Harry asked sounding bewildered.
"Here, this'll be faster," J'onn said as he walked over to Harry.
He placed a hand on Harry's temple, his eyes glowing red and Harry gasped as his mind was assaulted with images.
Saving Barry from King Shark upon their first meeting.
Meeting Team Flash.
Returning from Earth-2 with Barry and Cisco after saving Jesse.
Witnessing Barry's final battle with Zoom before returning home.
Being capture by Grodd in Gorilla City.
Witnessing Barry go into the Speed Force.
Using his Thinking Cap followed by him slowly losing his intelligence.
His final goodbye to Team Flash before returning home to Earth-2.
J'onn lowered his hand back to his hide, his eyes returning to normal as Harry used the wall to support himself, completely overwhelmed.
"It will take time to get used to this new paradigm. I've been going from city to city, restoring the memories of our compatriots as best I can," J'onn told Barry.
"Patty's in Philadelphia, at least that's where she lived before. Here's the address," Barry sped out before reappearing with a piece of paper that J'onn took. "And I'll have to get you into Camp Half-Blood myself."
J'onn nodded before turning and walking off, leaving Barry and Harry alone.
"You okay?" Barry asked as he looked over at Harry after a few moments of silence.
"Yeah, just a lot to process," Harry said as he lowered his hand from the wall. "I'm glad you're not dead Allen."
"Me to," Barry said and Harry raised an eyebrow, seeing that he seemed distracted.
"You don't seem too happy about it," Harry noted.
"No, I am. It's just…we're here. Where are Oliver and Kronos?" Barry asked.
Olympus
Same time
Oliver gasped as he sat up, breathing heavily as he tried to make sense of his surroundings. He was in what looked like a med-bay, although it looked quiet old. The room was made of stone and the beds were made out of the world's smoothest wood with cushions that felt like clouds. Oliver processed all this in an instant as he tried to figure out where he was.
"Good, you're awake," Oliver turned his head towards the sound of the voice as its owner entered the room.
"Apollo," Oliver said as the god of Prophecy entered the room.
"So formal. Is that anyway to greet your uncle?" Apollo asked with a blinding grin.
"Where am I? How'd I get here? Where are my friends?" Oliver demanded and Apollo chuckled.
"You're on Olympus. Your friends are fine. As to how you got here, that's a long story," Apollo noted.
Olympus, Oliver thought as he looked around. The home of the gods. So this was where they lived, he mused, deep in thought.
"Apollo," Oliver and Apollo both almost jumped, seeing Artemis lingering in the doorway. "May I speak with my son alone?"
"Sue thing Arte," Apollo said and Artemis scowled as he walked off. "I'm sure you two have a lot to talk about."
"Mother," Oliver greeted once Apollo was gone.
"Hello my son," Artemis said as she walked over to him. "How are you feeling?"
"Confused," Oliver admitted. "Am I still…"
"Yes. Becoming a god is not a process that can be undone," Artemis said gently and Oliver nodded after a moment, not really surprised.
"What happened? Where are Kronos and my friends?" Oliver asked.
"When you fought Kronos, his energy he had stolen from the other Olympuses and your untrained godly energy collided, resulting in the birth of a new multiverse. Your friends have returned to the lives," Artemis said and Oliver processed this silently, noting the one thing she hadn't said.
"Kronos is still out there, isn't he? It's not over yet," Oliver said and she nodded.
"You are wise beyond your years Oliver. Yes, Kronos is still a threat, one that only you can defeat," Artemis said grimly.
So there's no confusion, when Oliver and Kronos fought, neither of them could control the energy emitting from bodies. When those energies collided, it caused the multiverse to be reborn, with Earth's 1, 2, 38 and 96 becoming one earth, obviously with some side effects like Harry replacing E-1 Wells and Routhman replacing Supergirl's Clark. Why the Legends weren't affected will be revealed next chapter.
I went back and forth as to whether to bring Laurel back or not, but ultimately, it was just too good an opportunity to pass up. Because the fact that everyone n Arrow can get revived but Laurel is beyond stupid. If they didn't want to erase Black Siren, just do what Flash did with Nash, make Laurel a merged version of her E-1 and E-2 selves with E-1 Laurel' personality and Black Siren's skills and powers.
