The person holding the kunai spoke, his gruff voice growling at Kakashi. "What is your business here?" The silver haired shinobi gave the three a closed-eye smile. "Well you see, a little birdy told me that there were certain kitty cats here that can seal chakra."

The man didn't react, instead turning to the person behind him for further instructions. Kakashi casually peeked over the opponent's shoulder. So the guy in the back is the leader huh? I'll keep that in mind.

A soft, silvery voice let out a laugh. The person in the back brought her hand up to her mouth, muffling it. After a few seconds had passed, she spoke up, voice echoing across the forest. "I'm impressed. Not many know of the Okari."

She walked over to Kakashi, lightly pushing against the kunai next to his neck. More blood dripped down, bleeding into the silver nin's clothes. "Mm, however, I'm going to need a bit more context than that. Can you tell me how you know of the Okari, sweetheart?"

"I already told you. A cute little bird flew up to my ear and chirped about the kitty cats." Kakashi imagined that she was starting to get annoyed under her mask, as her voice was laced with impatience when she spoke again.

"Could you describe this little birdy?" Kakashi grinned. "I believe the birdy's name was Naruto." Upon hearing that name the girl stepped back in alarm. A slight hesitation from the man holding the kunai up to Kakashi's throat gave him the leverage he needed to escape.

The nin quickly elbowed the man with the kunai in the face, using his body to push himself up off the ground. Twisting in mid-air, Kakashi landed a kick square on his masked face, pushing him back a yard or two.

The other enemy launched into action, throwing hits as Kakashi narrowly blocked them. As time went on, the hits grew faster and faster, and Kakashi was starting to have a hard time keeping up.

Before he could get a single hit in, the first nin joined in with the second, both of them working together to attack. The Copy-nin was getting pushed back without any time to create hand signs. He was at a big disadvantage. Except…

"Halt your movements or this lady dies." Kakashi grinned. The three of them turned around to see Sasuke holding a kunai dangerously close to the top of the woman's neck. Said girl had her head back, straining against the raven's strong grip.

The two ninja Kakashi were fighting stopped all movements. "Good boys. Now you are going to tell me exactly where the poison is. The nin to Kakashi's right spoke up. "We know nothing of any poison."

Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? What's this then?" With a skilled flick of his wrist he fished a small vial, accompanied with a small handheld syringe. "It's nothing. Just medicine." Sasuke glared. "Medicine for what?"

"Medicine that helps shinobi lose their oversized egos." The girl Sasuke was holding hostage spoke up, twisting out of Sasuke's hold. She immediately grabbed the hand Sasuke was holding the syringe with, directing it towards Sasuke's leg.

Sasuke intercepted the syringe, twisting her arm back around and twisting it with a light snap! The girl yelled out in pain, ceasing resistance against the other man. "Nice try. You didn't really think you would get away with attacking one of the strongest shinobi in the world right?"

"See, that right there is why shinobi's need that medicine to begin with." The girl hissed. "Actually I was referring to Naruto." The girl fell silent, and Sasuke continued, pressing on. "How come you guys are targeting jinchuriki?"

"None of your damn business." She growled. The raven sighed, before twisting her arm even further back, exerting a hiss from her mouth. "I'll ask again. What business do you have regarding the jinchuriki?"

When she didn't respond, Sasuke resorted to kicking her legs. Her calf bone broke with a snap as she crumbled to the ground. Across from the two, one of the men previously watching panicked, yelling out for her.

"Wait wait wait! Listen I don't know the details but we were hired to extract the Bijuu from the jinchuriki by killing them. Please, stop hurting her!" The girl crumbling on the ground shot a glare at the man, cursing him out.

Sasuke nodded, releasing the girl from his girl from his grasp. The two men immediately rushed over to her, helping her up. Coldly glaring at the sight, Sasuke asked another question. "How many Okari's are left?"

The girl stubbornly remained silent, whilst the man who spoke up before gave him a weary look. "There weren't that many to begin with, and the guy who hired us killed off quite a few making the poison. There's probably less than 4 left in the pack. I don't think any other packs exist."

"Is there an antidote to the poison?"

He nodded. "Yes. The guy gave us one vial just in case we got into some trouble." Sasuke raised his eyebrow. "Only one?" Gulping the man nodded. "He told us that even if all of us were poisoned, only one of us needed to make it out alive and report back to him."

"I see." Sasuke extended his hand. "Give it to me." The man shook his head. "I cant. Boss will know we don't have it when we go back." A voice came up from behind him. "Well good thing you don't have to worry about that then."

With a swift maneuver, Kakashi knocked the man out, dragging him alongside the other two bodies. He quickly patted the man down, pulling out a slightly different colored vial than Sasuke had.

"Well, that's that." Kakashi frowned. "We're going to need to find a way to transport these bodies to Konoha for interrogation." Sasuke shrugged. "We could always just slit two throats and keep one." Kakashi nodded at him.

"Alright then. I'll take the man back to the meeting spot. We should keep the girl alive as well for leverage. You get her, and kill off the other man." Sasuke agreed, turning cold eyes to the people who attacked Naruto.

Neji frowned. Ever since Sasuke left on a mission, he was left all alone. He couldn't help but wonder if it was the universe's way of punishing him for stealing a kiss. To top it off, his beloved cousin was spending more and more time with another entirely too loud character.

The brunette growled at the thought of the bustling dog lover tainting his precious cousin. "Tch." Neji gulped down the rest of his drink, mindlessly shifting the glass with his fingers.

Come to think of it, the Kazekage had been spending less time with him recently. Neji didn't think too much of it, as he was the leader of Suna and likely incredibly busy with foreign affairs. Neji dropped his head to the table, burying himself in his long locks.

"It wouldn't hurt to have some company once in a while." Neji mumbled into the wood. "You called?" Neji launched into action, twisting the redhead's arm behind his back forcefully. "I thought you said you wanted some company?"

Neji groaned at his mistake. He instantly let go of Gaara's arm, patting his shoulder awkwardly. "I apologise Kazekage-sama. You startled me, that's all." Gaara nodded. "It's fine." The brunette turned back to the table, gesturing for the bartender to come over.

Gaara tilted his head, giving Neji a questioning glance. "Are you sure you should be drinking so much? I recall the first two times we met was because of you being intoxicated as well." The Hyuuga shrugged. "I've been drinking a lot lately, so I'm slowly building tolerance."

The redhead frowned. "That cannot be healthy." Neji chuckled. "It's not." He turned to Gaara. "You want some?"

"No thank you. I prefer not to drink so late at night. It often leads to impulsive actions." Neji snorted. "Maybe an impulsive action is exactly what I need right now." He looked at Gaara's head, observing his hair.

Slowly, the teen raised his hand up to Gaara's head, said boy following his movements curiously. Neji softly placed his hand on Gaara's red locks, caressing the soft hair. "Your hair is really soft. How come you slick it back all the time?" He murmured.

Gaara looked up at him, slightly flushing. "Temari said a good kage should always look presentable. She was the one who decided on this hairstyle." Neji grinned. "Don't listen to her. You look much better with unruly hair than neat and tidy hair."

The redhead blushed, catching the hand that was ruffling his hair. "Do you think so?" Neji nodded. "I like it more." Gaara looked away from Neji, suddenly unable to meet his gaze. The brunette retracted his hand from Gaara's grip, and the Kazekage couldn't help but feel a slight tinge of disappointment.

The feeling was quickly overcome by flusteredness when the brunette rested his hands on his face. "You know, your eyes are green." Gaara nodded. "I am aware, yes."

Neji's eyes flicked down to Gaara's lips. He knew that he probably shouldn't lead him on, especially since he still likes Sasuke but… they just looked so kissable. Especially in his drunken state.

And of course, like all intoxicated folks tend to do, Neji just did what he wanted at that moment. To say Gaara was surprised when he felt soft lips on his own was an understatement. His stomach fell to the floor, and his heart beat erratically.

Just when Gaara regained his senses enough to return the kiss, Neji slumped onto his chest, fast asleep. The redhead sighed. How come all his encounters with the Hyuuga start out like this?

AH! Im so sorry for not updating last week! I was really busy and totally forgot that I had a story to write. To make up for it, I gave you guys a wee bit of GaaNeji fluff! Hope you enjoyed!
