"So that was a fucking lie" Well pups, I didn't end up traveling like I thought I was going too BUT I am currently stuck inside with a raging blizzard outside. I will probably have two or so stories published soon. Halloween themed and jealousy themed. I hope you all enjoy this chapter. Its kind of half assed but I really want to get into the other stories I'm working on.

The kids scrambled to get out of range of the lightning strike. Their shoes skidding on the gravel of the driveway.

Instinctively, Boscha leapt towards Willow. Tackling her out of the way of the blast, reaching a hand up to cradle her head as they fell. Once they hit the ground Boscha's head snapped up to glare at her mother.

Willow felt her mouth run dry looking up at the girl on top of her. The pink skin of the jock's throat seemed to hypnotise her. Chiseled jawline and the soft looking tufts of hair that framed her face sent an army of hornets shooting down into her stomach.

The witch was so focused on the jock's flesh she failed to realize that said jock was currently shouting at her. Worried grey eyes bored into hers.

"Willow are you okay!? Talk to me!"

Boscha's fingers tightened around the shorter girl's shoulders. Trying desperately to get a reaction out of the dazed girl underneath her.

"I'm f-fine." Willow answered in a quiet tone. Her throat bobbed as she tried to sooth her dry throat. She tensed when Boscha's body sagged against hers in relief.

"Thank titan, I don't know what I would do if you got hurt." The jock breathed. "Come on, we got to help out Amity and Luz."

Boscha effortlessly helped Willow to her feet. Oblivious to the blush on the plant witch's face.

Amity and Luz dove out of the way just in time. The taller of the two rolling to a stand and slapping a plant glyph like it was a bad kid.(idk where this came from just roll with it.) The ground cracked as thick vines moved large rock as if they were nothing more than a nuisance. They burrowed their way towards Mother. The uneven ground caused her to loose her footing and stumble.

Amity recovered and cast two magenta colored spell circles, they wrapped around her wrist like bracelets. Boscha doing the same like the green-haired witch. Willow's eyes glowed green as she raised her own army of plants. Gus poofed right next to them, holding the ornament from Mother's cane. He tossed it up and down in a taunting manner.

Boscha recognized it immediately.

"Gus you genius!" She exclaimed. Seeing the confused looks from her friends she explained. "My mother is old-"

"What did you say you littl-"

"-it takes more effort to use her bile sac so she uses the beacon as a buffer." The pink witch finished.

Luz nodded in understanding. "Without magical ball thingy easy to kick ass, got it."

The Latina palmed another glyph before tapping it and launching a sharp icicle towards Mother. Mother jumped out of the way only to nearly get beheaded by a blast of fire from Amity. The older woman ducking at the last second. The stray hairs from her bun were burnt off by a magenta colored flame in milliseconds.

Gritting her teeth Mother waved her arms to capture Amity's flame. Trapping it in her hands the flame turned from magenta to a dark red color.

With a roar Mother hurled the ball with all her might, it grew in size the closer it got closer to the group. Boscha stepped out infront of the group, her hands pointed towards the deadly fireball. As if throwing open a door, the flames parted. Completely missing the group.

"Benjamin, why do you insist on disobeying me?" Mother growled.

Amity's hackles rose. "Her name is Boscha!"

Boscha blinked in surprised before she let a warm smile creep onto her face.

"Yeah! Her name is Boscha!" Luz thrust a fist up in the air. Two more shouts of agreement followed closely.

With a new found vigor Boscha let out a war cry and charged her mother. Her friends hot on her heels.

Mother released her own war cry before slamming her palms down on the even ground.

Blake whimpered watching the battle go on in the distance. Praying that her sister will be okay. She cast a glance down at her other sister. Every now and then a pained groan would escape. Sitting down on the hood of Susie, Blake watched her sister's friends battle her mother. The night illuminated by the occasional bout of fire.

She held up her plushie and asked. "Sid what are we going to do?"

Sid stared back at her,. Atleast, she interpreted it that way seeing as Slitherbeasts eyes are elsewhere. The plushie just silently regarded her. Dual colored eyes flickered down at the newly repaired leg. The leg her sister fixed.

"You're right Sid. We have to help."

A serious look settled on her face as she hopped of the car and sprinted towards her sister.

"Fuck!" Amity cried. The shockwave sent her flying through the air to land harshly on her side. "Damn it this bitch is tougher than I thought."

All around her friends groaned in agreement. Everyone sprawled out from the intense blast.

"That's what you insufferable children deserve!" Mother shouted. Strands of hair escaped her bun making her seem more and more unhinged than she already was.

Mother stomped towards a half conscious Boscha, intent on wringing her troublesome child's neck for putting her through all of this nonsense. However, a small body collided with her side, nearly knocking her off balance. Small fist pounded into her side. Growling like an angry predator, the head of the household brought a hand up high and backhanded the disturbance.

A loud smack was heard and a sharp cry as Blake went flying through the air, landing a few feet away. Boscha shook her head to clear her vision. Grey eyes locked onto Blake's body laying on the ground, as angry red hand mark on her cheek.

The jock's heart shattered at the sight. How dare Mother ruin the only good thing to come from home? How dare Mother put Blake through what she had been through. Searing hot angry tears gathered in her eyes. With a strangled cry she got to her feet to pummel her mother into the ground.

She was stopped when a cold hand wrapped tightly around her throat and lifted her until her feet no longer touched the ground. Mother chuckled maliciously as she started to squeeze.

Boscha glared hatefully at blue eyes. Her bile sac was starting to strain. She could cast a spell but it will be to weak to do anything to Mother. Gripping the wrist of her abuser, Boscha continued to glare and dig her nails into cold flesh. If she was going down, she was going to make sure her mother never forgot her eyes. Her father's eyes.

Blake struggled to sit up, the pain in her cheek making her eyes water. Biting back a sob the girl looked towards her mother strangling her sister. Despair made her heart clench. Her throat was so tight she couldn't breathe. Out of her corner of her eye she could see her sister's friends getting up and staggering to get to Boscha.

They won't make it in time.

A soft white tuft drew her attention. Picking up her plushie the girl released a blood curdling scream. "SIIIDDD!!"

The only noises that could be heard were the straining coming from the mother- daughter duo and the pained groans of concern coming from the group of friends a few feet away.

Nothing compared to the sounds they heard next. A bellowing roar came from the treeline quickly followed by heavy footsteps.

THUD

THUD

THUD

Everyone tensed and paused hearing the loud crunching noises of foliage. Preparing themselves for another possible threat.

A massive slitherbeast crushed the trees into splinters as it stomped closer to the group of teenagers. Its fur glistened with the help of the rising full moon. Its lips pulled back into a snarl as it released another roar that made everyone's hearts plummet.

Mother froze in fear causing her grip to tighten even more on her offspring's neck. Boscha let out a gargled gasp trying to remain conscious. Bringing her legs up was a herculean effort, her legs felt heavy and her thighs burned as if she had been running grudgby drills for days. With one last spout of energy, the witch kicked her mother with both feet as hard as she could.

Mother felt the wind get knocked out of her and crumbled to the ground. In an instant Sid was standing above her, its massive paw pinning her arms down with enough force to snap it. Drool dripped from his sharp teeth. A thick strand landing on her cheek.

Boscha crawled on her stomach to try and cover Blake but was too weak, only limply hugging one leg. A sad smile worked its way onto the youngest sibling's face. Even when her sister was on the brink of death she tried to protect her.

Now it was time for her to protect her sister.

"Sid-" She called. The slitherbeast looked up at her curiously. Blake's lips set in a grim line. "Eat."

"No NO!" Mother screeched. Sid picked her up in its massive paw. The beast bent down to give Blake a small bop on the head, drawing a tired sounding giggle. And began walking back towards the woods.

It's nostrils flared when it spotted a petrified Luz. The latina recognizing the small bald patch on its head. Sid made a detour and started stomping towards the girl. The rocks of the uneven ground rattling with each step.

Luz tripped and fell on the ground trying to get away. She crawled back in her elbows. Breaking out in a nervous sweat the latina squeaked out an apology.

Sid huffed. Nostrils flaring once more shooting hot air over the human's face. Seemingly satisfied the slitherbeast sauntered off back into the woods. Mother screaming and shouting obscenities until she could no longer be heard.

Luz let her body bonelessly flop back on the ground. Relieved she hadn't gotten eaten.

The group peeled themselves from the wrecked ground. Some had found themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place. Literally.

The night air was still and solemn as the witches regrouped. They did choose not to speak about what they had just witnessed. With one last hurrah the gathered themselves and drove back to the owl house. The two siblings insisting they didn't want to stay at the place that held too many bad memories.
