One Who Only The Finn Knows

Finn was chilling by himself in Techno Lagoon, messing around with his DJ set, playing some trap music. As a catchy song started to play, he leaned back against a tall rock and listened to the music, smiling in content. He sighed happily, saying, "Fair dinkum, now this is the life. Just me, my music, and-," before a loud shout startled him, saying, "Yo! Finny boy"! Finn shot up and growled, saying, "Well, my bloody day's ruined, and I can probably tell who that is." In the blink of an eye, Synth came darting at him, wrapping Finn up in a big hug as he said, "Finn! My fellow DJ from the East-ey! What's up"?! Finn pushed Synth aside, commenting, "For the last bloody time, mate, it's Electro Ray! Not Finn! And especially not Finny boy! Drill that through your thick, dense brain, mate"! Synth chuckled as he said, "Easy, bro! I'm just playing! Anyways, I'm *imitates air horn noises* because tomorrow's the day"! Finn, in confusion, asked, "What are you yammering about," as Synth answered, "The day! Tomorrow's the day I take my first step into parenthood when Stereo gives birth to our soon-to-be son or daughter, encased in a glowing egg, bro! I'm so excited! Trollex and Aggie are, too, especially my future sis-in-law! Man, first Trollex and Aggie are planning a wedding, and now, Stereo and I are soon going to be parents"! Finn rolled his eyes and snarkily stated, "I feel sorry for the child, mate." Synth didn't seem to hear what Finn said as he wrapped his arm around the reclusive Techno troll, saying, "I know! I'm super excited too! Woo-hoo"! Finn grimaced as he pushed Synth aside, saying, "I can see that, but back off with the hugs! You know I don't like hugs"! Synth shrugged as he happily said, "Fine by me, Finny boy! I'll see you on the dancefloor at the next rave! Woo-hoo," before swimming away, leaving Finn alone to ball up a fist, saying to himself, "Why must almost everyone be so chipper"? He then turned his DJ set off, saying, "Maybe some time on the land will do me some good." With that, Finn packed up his music gear and swam up to the surface, hoping some fresh air will maybe make things a little better.

Finn walked into Trollstopia, and to his surprise (actually not, that was his mind being sarcastic), it was bustling with trolls out and about...as usual. Finn grimaced as he strolled through town, trying to find a quiet spot so he can be by himself. Spotting a shady spot under a tree, Finn looked around before walking towards it and sitting down, commenting, "Ah, finally. A little alone time with absolutely no troll in-," before a huge pile of leaves was dumped onto him. Finn popped his head out and spitted out a few leaves that got into his mouth before saying, "What the bloody heck was that"?! He looked up and groaned at the sight of what was the source of the leaves dumping onto him: Smidge and Biggie were climbing up the tree. Finn got up and walked away, looking to sit somewhere else. He soon passed by the market area and noticed that the tables looked empty. Deciding that it was good enough, Finn began to walk over to them when suddenly, a flood of trolls ran by, catching him, as he was forcefully dragged along with them. The flock of trolls soon crowded around a huge stage where Val, her band, and Barb were putting on a rock concert. Everyone was cheering, singing along, nodding their heads while making the rock gesture, all while a nervous Finn stood in the crowd, trying to avoid being hit by accident. He commented, "Why must these gnarly rock concerts be so intense?! Is everyone here losing their bloody minds"?! Then, Barb noticed that Finn seemed to be very uncomfortable as she got a great idea, shouting into the microphone, "It's time for a crowd surf! Someone pick up that Techno troll with the leather vest and wicked bandanna"! Finn gulped in nervousness as she tried to shout, "Crikey wha-AAHHHHH," before he suddenly felt himself get picked up and passed along through the crowd, all while screaming in terror. Val shouted, "Yeah! Go, Finn, you're a natural," before both rock trolls started to jam again as the crowd kept passing Finn along to each other. While this went on, his behavior was noticed by Branch, who watched and saw how Finn was acting in the crowd.

After the concert ended, Finn was lying on the ground, shuddering in fear, while hugging himself, still feeling the effects of the sudden crowd surf. He was then approached by Branch, and at first, Finn sat up and scooted away from him, shouting, "Stay away from me," before Branch spoke up, saying, "No, no. I just wanted to give you a hand up." Branch offered a hand to Finn as the hesitant Techno blushed a little in embarrassment before accepting Branch's help, getting back onto his fins. Finn began to feel a little awkward as he then said, "Thanks, your majesty," as Branch replied, "No problem, and you know you can call me Branch. The title's not that big of a deal anyways." Finn hesitantly chuckled before saying, "Ok..Branch. Uh...thanks again for the help. i...should be going," and started to walk away, feeling awkward from the conversation. Branch didn't seem alarmed at all by his behavior since, as a former, and still, recluse himself, he knows that guys like him and Finn tend to enjoy alone time and sometimes act awkward during moments they don't feel comfortable in. However, Finn's behavior was seen by Poppy, who was busy buying groceries, and she took careful note of how Finn responded to Branch and the other trolls around him. For the rest of the day, Poppy secretly watched Finn and kept track of how he acted and responded with others. By the Big Squeeze, Finn was placed in the middle seat in a row of other rides along with him, including Smidge, who dragged him into joining her on the ride. Finn screamed in terror as the ride went up before everyone was released, making the group bungee jump up and down. Later on, Poppy saw Finn listening to music through his headphones and took careful note of how he tried to avoid being around Holly, who wanted to hug him. Finn was pulled into Holly's warm embrace despite his best efforts as he grumbled under his breath in anger. Then, over at Classical Crest, Poppy saw Finn talking to Minuet as he seemed to be feeling awkward chatting with the Classical delegate.

Poppy wrote down every little thing Finn said, did, or way he acted before saying, "Hm...Finn's behavior is still a bit confusing. Why does he tend to act so reclusive? I need to go talk to an expert about this." A few minutes later, Poppy was by McJagger and Laguna's pod, knocking on the door. She waited for a minute before she was greeted by Laguna, who opened the door and spotted Poppy. She smiled, giving her a warm greeting, as she said, "Oh, hello, Queen Poppy. What can I do for you"? Poppy then asked, "Can I come in for a sec? I need to ask you something...about Finn." Laguna understood and allowed Poppy to come inside as the pop queen walked into the pod and sat down at the dining table. Laguna brought over two glasses of lemonade, offering Poppy one, before asking, "So, what's this about Finn"? Poppy took a sip from her glass before saying, "Well, I've wanted to ask you since Finn's your older brother...why does he tend to stray away from others? Or sometimes doesn't like to be in a crowd"? Laguna thought for a minute before saying, "Well...it has much to do with Finn's personal life...back when we were originally separated. I won't say why mainly because Finn doesn't want anyone mentioning his past to others. But what I can say is that...he's been alone most of his life. No friends, barely any family, and well...he was subjected to an early life of cruelty, and at such a tender age too. From what he's told mom and me, he grew up by himself and had no one around to help him, hold him, be his friend." Hearing Laguna tell Finn's story, or at least part of it, made Poppy realize...Finn was just like Branch, in a way. While they both had very different backgrounds, both seemed to center around one thing: a harsh life-changing moment that left them to grow up alone with no friends. Then, Poppy asked, "But, what happened was a while ago, and he reunited with you and Twilight a few months ago. Wouldn't he want to try now and socialize with others"?

Laguna replied, "Well, he tries, but it's not that simple. The problem does not lie in the effort he puts in because even if it doesn't seem like much, he does try to socialize, but it's the feeling he gets when it happens. He's told me that sometimes, it could feel very overwhelming to be within a group of people or to have others care about him. Though then again, it all links back to what happened before. He never felt love or appreciated before, so that makes him question, in a way, why now is the world suddenly putting him under the light? Why is he now getting attention"? Poppy took Laguna's words close to mind and began to think of something that she believed could help Finn open up more and act more social. she smiled and said, Ok, I get it now. Thanks, Laguna," before she walked out of her pod, with Laguna asking herself, "I do inquire why Poppy wanted to ask about my brother. Maybe she just wanted to get to know him more." Back with Poppy, she was rushing back to her pod as fast as she could. Once inside, she went to the nursery where Harmony was having her diaper changed by Petunia, Poppy's mom. The elder pop troll was strapping on the clean diaper as she picked the baby princess up, saying, "There you go, Harmony. Grandma's got you feeling all fresh as daisies again." Harmony smiled and giggled happily before she saw her mother and reached out to her. Petunia turned around and saw her daughter standing there as she gave Harmony to Poppy while saying, "Your daughter is such an angel, Poppy." Poppy held Harmony close to her while saying, "Thanks, mom," before she went to the living room. Poppy then sat down with her scrapbook supplies and a bunch of blank pieces of paper as she placed Harmony in a baby swing while saying, "Wanna help mama write some letters to her leader friends"? Harmony clapped her hands and nodded excitedly while jumping in her baby swing as Poppy got right to work, writing her letters. Hours later, Poppy placed the last letter in an envelope before she held it up for Harmony, who leaned forward and gave the envelope flap a raspberry. Closing the flap and running her thumb over it so it was safely sealed, she said, "There. Now, all we have to do is send these out."

A mail bug flew into her room and picked up the envelope, rushing off to deliver them. Poppy then picked up Harmony and said, "Now, let's get you all dressed for our meeting later. Wanna wear your leaf dress"? Harmony nodded excitedly and squealed, which meant a huge yes, as Poppy went to get her baby dressed. An hour later, Poppy and Branch were sitting inside of the meeting mushroom, with Harmony in her stroller, awaiting the other leaders' arrival. As they sat patiently, Branch asked Poppy, "So, hon, what's this meeting about again"? Poppy answered, "Well, I recently came up with a new idea for a holiday, and I want to pitch it to the leaders and see if they approve of it before we can make it official tomorrow." Before Branch could ask, "Ok, but what is this holiday about," the other leaders started to arrive, along with Aggie, as she said, "Hey, Poppy! We got your letters! What's going on," as Trollzart added, "Yes. for it addressed that you had a matter you wished to discuss with us." Poppy nodded and replied, "Yes. If everyone can take their seats, I can begin addressing the matter." Once all of the leaders, and Aggie, took their seats, Poppy stood up, saying, "Tribal leaders, Master of All Music, we have a small dilemma involving one of Trollstopia's residents: Finn Tidepool." Branch then mentally facepalmed himself for not realizing this from the start, as Poppy continued with, "Recently, I've noticed that he's been acting a little...anti-social with the other residents. Now, here in Trollstopia, we try to make sure everyone feels included, and while I'm not saying we have to force him into being social, I would like to ask if any of you have witnessed this behavior from him as well." Delta then raised her hand, saying, "Actually, ay've noticed it too. Ay remember the other day, ay saw him trying ta avoid ayy surprise hug party. Ever'taame ayy troll tried ta hug him, he stepped out ov the way or made ayy run from it, especially Holly ayy lot." Barb then added, "Earlier today. He seemed pretty tense, so Val and I had him brought into a crowd surf, hoping that might make him feel better. Instead, he looked like he just got mauled by Marcus again. No offense to that since we don't want to bring HIM back into the equation."

Trollex then added, "Back at Techno Reef, he's always trying to avoid being with others, so I've experienced it first-hand. But I've also noticed that he gets really irritated at the lagoon whenever he's around Synth. I mean, yeah, I know my brother's outgoing energy can be a little annoying after a while, but Finn seemed really irritated by it." Aggie then added, "And I've also noticed Finn staying away from certain trolls who behave almost similar to Synth. I've noticed he gives the cold shoulder a lot to Cooper, Holly, Biggie, Guy, even you, Poppy." Poppy then spoke up, saying, "I've seen that too. Finn may be acting like this because he was never given a lot of attention back home, especially in his childhood. Laguna told me that he was all alone as a kid, and no one bothered to give him any love and affection." Aggie and Barb exchanged glances across the table, knowing very well as to the real reason why Finn never got any attention as a kid. As this went on, Poppy then proposed, "So, we need to shower Finn with so much love and appreciation that he'll bound to be joining us in every activity afterward! And to help institute that theory, I propose tomorrow will be a holiday I call...Finn Appreciation Day"! Essence, Quincy, Trollex, Delta, and Trollzart seemed to like this idea as Barb then raised her hand, saying, "Popsqueak, I mean no disrespect, but..I don't think that's a good idea." Aggie added, "I'm with Barb on this one, Poppy. We don't need to shower Finn with attention to make him more social. Besides, if you understood him better, you'd see why he acts the way that he does." Branch then stated, "They are right, Poppy. Look at me; Finn and I are basically the same troll or at least the same troll that I used to be. You know better than anyone. I used to act the same way he does, especially around you."

Poppy then brought up, "True, but over time, some social bonding, a lot of attention, and through friendships, you've grown to be more social with us. So, if it's worked on you before, it's bound to work on Finn. So, leaders, let's take a vote! All in favor of Finn Appreciation Day"? The funk leaders, Delta, Trollex, Trollzart, and Poppy, raised their hands before she then asked, "All opposed"? Branch, Aggie, and Barb were the only ones who raised their hands, as Poppy then declared, "It's decided. Finn Appreciation Day is officially a go! Meeting dismissed." While everyone got up and started to leave, Aggie whispered to Barb, "I got a bad feeling about this," while Branch replied, "I do too, Aggie." The next day, at Techno Reef, Finn was swimming to the dance floor when Beat stood in front of him, saying, "Electro Ray! Thank goodness I found you! You have to come with me"! Finn rolled his eyes and asked sarcastically, "Where? Preschool," as the green amoeba-like button responded with, "No, Sea Central Hospital! Stereo's giving birth! Come on," as Beat guided the reluctant Finn to the Sea Cove Hospital, located deep in the thriving underwater city. They both soon quickly entered the underwater hospital, as Beat found a doctor, saying, "Where's Synth"? The doctor led them to the room Synth, Trollex, Aggie, and Stereo were in and opened the door, allowing Finn and Beat to enter. Finn swam onto the sight of Stereo laying in bed, looking to be in pain, as Synth ran his hand through her hair while saying, "It'll be ok, baby! You can do it," while Trollex and Aggie sat next to them and nervously watched. Finn sat next to Aggie while saying, "Fair dinkum, Aggie. How's Synth's wife holding up"? Aggie replied, "She's doing pretty well, but she's currently experiencing painful contractions and-," before the room was interrupted by Stereo screaming in pain, shouting, "Make it stop"! Synth reassured her, saying, "You can do it, honey! Just push with all you can"! Stereo did her best as she held her head, which was throbbing in pain, while Trollex added, "Remember to breathe. You're almost there." Stereo then let out one more scream before every troll in the room heard a POP and saw the top of Stereo's hair develop a bump. Then, sliding down and coming out from the bottom, was a "slightly bigger than average size", bright purple with blue polka-dots, glowing egg that had a pair of golden, glittered headphones on it, as well as a tuft of hair, but in two separate colors. The 4 strands in the middle were purple, like the father, and the other four strands sticking out was light blue, like the mother.

Aggie squealed in joy, saying, "AAAHHH! It's so cute," while Trollex said, "Aggie's right! It's adorable"! Trollex held the egg and looked at it, saying, "Oh...my...glowsticks," before saying while happy tears filled his eyes, "I'm a papa"! Synth then gave the egg to his wife so she could hold it as Stereo commented, "Hi there, little one. We're your parents." Aggie felt so proud as she declared, "I'm an aunt," while Finn watched in disbelief. Then, he saw Synth approach him as the Techno ambassador said, "Electro Ray, yes I know your name, Stereo and I have been talking and...we want you to be our baby's godfather once he or she hatches." Finn was stunned as he asked, "Me? But why," as Stereo replied, "Well, you seem like you fit the title perfectly. So, what do you say"? Finn thought about it as he looked at the egg before saying, "Well, ok. I'm honored...Synth," as Synth hugged Finn tightly, despite the reclusive troll's agitated growls from being hugged. After Synth and Stereo's new egg's birth, Stereo had to stay behind with the egg so the doctors could examine her and the egg; make sure that they were healthy and feeling fine. About two hours later, Trollex, Aggie, and Synth led Finn up to the surface of the water because there was a surprise planned for him. Despite his hesitancy towards what the other trolls could have planned for him, Finn followed, commenting, "Just as long as it's nothing gnarly or dangerous, mates." They led him into Trollstopia, where there was what looked like a coral-themed throne waiting to be sat on. Trollex explained, "Go ahead. Sit down on the throne." Finn walked over to it and inspected it before sitting down, commenting, "Hmmm...not bad." Synth then placed a paper crown on his head while saying, "And if you have a throne, you need a crown to go with it. And a scepter," as he then gave Finn a long bamboo stalk that had a huge seastar on top and was bedazzled by jewels. Finn looked at it before asking, "Ok, mate, can someone tell me the bloody trick behind this?! What's with the throne? What's the crown and scepter? Crikey, what's going on around here"?!

Soon, a lot of trolls came out of hiding and shouted, "Surprise," as confetti and balloons were tossed into the air while a huge white banner was lowered that said in big, bold letters, "Finn Appreciation Day"! Finn was startled to the core as Poppy came out, saying, "Like it? It's your own holiday"! Confused and a bit frightened, Fin asked, "My...own holiday," as Trollex explained, "The leaders and I decided to give you your own holiday, calling it Finn Appreciation Day! A day where we get to shower you with love and affection, and at the same time, show you how much we appreciate having you here in Trollstopia! Think of it as our way of saying you are a great troll and an absolutely great friend"! Finn looked around, seeing all the trolls applauding him and cheering for him, as Dante then flew to him, saying, "And we have a myriad of festivities planned for you! First, every troll here has gotten you a gift and will deliver them to you, personally! Then, we will all gather around and envelope you in a big group hug! Finally, Trollex has planned a massive rave with some of your favorite trap songs that we will dance and party to all day"! Finn was shaken to the core out of fright and nerves. Has everyone gotten insane?! Are they all going actually to give him so much attention?! What was wrong with them?! However, Finn couldn't react or even utter a word as a response to this "kind gesture" because the next thing he knew, everyone started to gather around him. Finn felt a huge wave of overwhelming emotions flood through his body, almost feeling like he was about to go through something emotionally painful. In an act to get away, he leaped from his throne and ran off somewhere, while screaming in fear. His response made Poppy and the leaders confused, as Poppy commented, "But, I don't understand. I thought Finn would feel a lot better if we did this for him." Melody saw Finn running away in the crowd and decided to try and find him, hoping that she could talk to him. She ran all over Trollstopia, shouting, "Finn?! Finn! Where are you"?! She looked in each town but was having no luck spotting the runaway Techno troll. After searching for a long time, Melody spotted Finn sitting at a cafe table all by himself. The loner troll was fidgeting his fingers, trembling a little from what had happened, as Melody decided to sit next to him.

Finn didn't even bother to lift his head to acknowledge her presence as Melody asked, "Finn- I mean, Electro Ray. Are you...alright"? Finn nervously looked up at Melody, replying with, "F-F-Fine...just nearly went insane moments ago." Melody then said, "You know, the leaders thought that you'd love this holiday. That it'd help you. Aren't you happy"? Finn did her best to relax as he stated, "D-Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful for your support, and the support of the leaders too, but...it's...it's...," as he crossed his arms and added, "I'll just explain it to you. Ever since I've been here, you lassies have been chasing on my tail, trying to figure out what's going with me. I noticed that from the very start when I revealed that I was Laguna's older brother. You all treat it as if it's a big deal." Melody then asked, "I mean, I guess we do, but isn't that the right thing to do"? Finn tried to think about it as he replied with, "Well...maybe? I don't bloody know. It's just that...I'm surprised that you would...look out...for a troll like me." Melody smiled as she then commented, "No troll deserves to be out on their own," which earned her some angry growls from Finn, who retorted, "It's easy for you to say. You're the Rock Ambassador's cousin. Sure, I'm Laguna's older brother, and I had a few chats with King Trollex, but...I'm just a worthless, average...face in the crowd." His voice began to crack, which meant that Finn was close to crying, as he added, "I-I-I know that you've been trying to make me feel better...but I'm just so used to being abandoned all the time that...it confuses me why here...it's so different." Melody thought about it before answering, "Well, here, we do try to help enforce a lot of inclusive activity so trolls, no matter their background, can feel like they belong. But, isn't trying different things well...a good thing"? Finn then solemnly commented, "I-I-It's fine...everything's alright...but I don't see why I deserve the leaders' help...or anyone's help for that bloody matter." Melody could see tears begin to stream down Finn's face as the loner Techno troll, who did not feel or notice the tears falling, spoke in mid-sob, saying, "The reason why I'm distant is that...I find it hard to be with so many people. It's...a lot. I feel...like it's just too much to handle all at once. I get I barely had any love and affection when I was young. Bloody heck, I never had any. But to now have it coming in massive tidal waves, I just..." Then, Melody allowed Finn to cry into her shoulder as he added, "Why do the leaders bother to care about me when I'm not even special? I'm not royal blood! I'm not connected to anyone of power or stature! I don't even do magic! I'm just...a waste of space."

As Finn lifted his head, tears still flowing, Melody explained, "Finn, it doesn't matter where you come from or who you are. What matters is that through it all, you're still a fellow troll to us, and you are never a waste of space, even if you were the tiniest ant. We care about you because you're our friend, and friends look out for one another, no matter if we were royal, magic, special, or not. You matter to everyone, even if others don't care about it as much as we do. Even if I weren't Val's cousin, I'd still be friends with everyone because I'm a fellow friend to them. And it applies to you too. I understand that when your father abandoned you, it must've made you feel worthless, like...you never matter...right"? Finn nodded, trying to remove his tears, while Melody continued with, "But you do. You matter, Finn, no matter how big or small your impact on the world is. That's why the leaders care about you, because to them, just like everyone else, you are an important part of Trollstopia. You matter because you are a fellow troll that we all love and care about." Finn felt deeply touched by Melody's words as he tried to wipe his tears away, but they kept flowing due to his overflowing emotions. Melody saw what Finn was trying to do as she said, "You don't have to be afraid to cry. If you feel hurt or sad, just...let it out. It'll make you feel a lot better." Finn nodded as he then asked, "Still, don't you kind of wish we were...cool kids...popular enough do others would notice us everywhere we go"? Melody shrugged and replied, "Hey, I think we're already pretty cool exactly how we are. We don't need a title or power to have people notice us. Because even if we are background characters, we still matter in life, and that's all the popularity you need."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Cool Kids by Echosmith~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*song intro*
Melody then got up, saying, "Come on. I'll show you what I mean." She offered a hand up to Finn as the reluctant Techno troll grabbed her hand, allowing her to pull him up as the two began to stroll back into the town square. As they walked, Melody felt a song coming and started to sing.
Melody: They see me walking in a straight line; that's not really my style. And we all got the same heartbeat, but mine is falling behind.
Finn: Nothing in this world could ever bring me down. Yeah, we're invincible, and I'm just in the background. And we say!
Both: I wish that I could be like the cool kids! 'Cause, all the cool kids, they seem to fit in! I wish that I could be like the cool kids! Like the cool kids!
As they both sang together, Finn's tears slowly began to disappear, and truth be told, a genuine smile broke onto his face.
Finn: They see me talking with a big smile, but they haven't got a clue. Yeah, we're living the good life, can't see what I'm going through.
Melody: We're driving fast cars, but we don't know where we're going. In the fast lane, living life without knowing. And we say!
Both: I wish that I could be like the cool kids! 'Cause, all the cool kids, they seem to fit in! I wish that I could be like the cool kids! Like the cool kids!
I wish that I could be like the cool kids! 'Cause, all the cool kids, they seem to get it! I wish that I could be like the cool kids! Like the cool kids!
Finn and Melody continued to walk back with a small pep in their step as both trolls started to dance together. While this was something out of Finn's character, he honestly couldn't care because, for once in his life, he felt...happy. He felt...joy. He felt...the love of a friend there for him in a time of need.
Melody: And we say! I wish that I could be like the cool kids!
Finn: 'Cause, all the cool kids, they seem to fit in!
Both: I wish that I could be like the cool kids! Like the cool kids!
I wish that I could be like the cool kids! 'Cause, all the cool kids, they seem to fit in! I wish that I could be like the cool kids! Like the cool kids!
I wish that I could be like the cool kids! 'Cause, all the cool kids, they seem to get it! I wish that I could be like the cool kids! Like the cool kids!
Ba ba ba ba! Ba da da da! Da da! Ba ba ba ba! Ba da da da!
Like the cool kids!
Finn then crossed his arms, saying, "That was...out of my comfort zone. But...I needed that. Melody, thank you." Melody smiled and said, "Hey, what are friends for? Now, how do you feel about going back to the town square"? Finn took a deep breath before saying, "I think...I can go there. But...when we do, can we tell Poppy...to cancel Finn Appreciation Day? I mean, it's a nice gesture, but...it's a little much for me." Melody nodded and replied, "Of course. I'll tell her." When both trolls entered the town square, Finn braced for every troll to be crowding around him again, but instead, he saw that all the decorations from earlier were gone. The throne was gone, and even the banner was now gone. He spotted Trollex and asked, "Hey, Trollex, what's going on"? Trollex turned around and smiled, saying, "Hey, Finn. So, after you ran off, Branch came forward and gave Poppy a good talking to, telling her how "She should've respected how Finn was feeling and not force him to be social" Then, he said that what she was doing was almost the same thing she did to him before they met us. When Poppy realized her mistake, she called the whole holiday off. Are you ok"? Finn thought about it before saying, "You know...I do feel a little better. And...well, I think I have a better understanding now of why you and the other leaders care about me so much. Because...even though I'm not popular or royal or magic, I'm still a part of the community and...bloody heck, I matter. and that's all that really...matters." Trollex smiled as he said, "So, what are you going to do now"? Finn thought about t before saying, "Well, I think...I might start making a change...for myself. While I still think that chipper trolls like Synth are a bit naive, and, still, I'm not too fond of hugs, I guess...maybe opening up a little couldn't hurt. Though...my past does make it hard for that to just happen naturally. So...you know anyone that can...help"? Trollex nodded, saying, "I know someone who can help."
Trolex then let out a whistle as Prince D came forward, saying, "What's up, Trollex"? Trollex explained, "I'm sure you're aware of Finn. Finn, meet Prince D of the funk tribe, Laguna's therapist." Finn was stunned as he said, "Crikey, you're the therapist she told me about"? Prince D nodded, saying, Indeed. I've been helping her work with managing her PTSD and opening up her emotions towards others instead of hiding them. She's really come along since her first session and has grown up pretty well." Finn thought about it before smiling, saying, "I've seen it...the change in her. She's grown to be more confident, and honestly, I've never seen my little sister this happy before. Say, D, would it be ok...if I came by where you sometimes work...and talk with you"? Prince D nodded, saying, "Of course. You can come in and chat with me anytime you need to." As Prince D walked away, Finn showed a small smile, saying, "Crikey...I...I don't know what to say. Other than...I can't thank you guys ever enough. I think...with some time. I might start becoming more open and...maybe a little friendlier. Not right away, but, over time." Melody smiled as Trollex said, "I'm proud to hear that, Finn." As Trollex soon started to leave, Finn then turned around and asked Melody, "Say uh, Mel...I don't think we were ever really friends in the beginning, more like acquaintances. But...after today...did you...maybe...wanna be friends"? Melody nodded and offered a gentle fist-bump, replying with, "I'd like that, Electro Ray. I'm honored to be your friend." Finn looked at Melody's fist before grinning and gently fist-bumping her back before saying, "Crikey, this is kind of...nice." Melody then asked, "Say, you mind showing me some of the trap music you listen to? I've gotta admit; it's actually pretty cool." Finn, despite doing his best to hide it, though blushing a little in embarrassment, was really excited. He then said, "Sure thing, mate. Trust me; after you listen ta just one song, it'll stick on ya like honey to a bear"! Both trolls started to walk down to Techno Lagoon together while Trollex and Laguna watched from a distance, happy to see Finn starting to reach out and interact with others. And as for Finn, he felt like for the time in his life...he could begin to open his doors and...let new, caring souls enter his life. In his mind, he thought that if there were other trolls like Melody and her friends, who'd do whatever it takes to help him and make sure he was ok, even the chipper trolls, then maybe...the world isn't as crazy as he thought it'd be.
