"Texting Conner again?" Danielle asked knowingly as she twirled her spaghetti with a fork.

Bree chewed on a mouthful of potato salad. "I mean, he probably has no idea who I am. And he probably doesn't know I know who he is."

"Why don't you just tell him?"

Bree sighed. Danielle had asked that question many times and Bree would not budge.

"Because we agreed to do it at the camping trip! It's really just that simple."

"Huh, it's not like you to be this careful. Don't you like, recklessly sneak out of your house regularly?"

"But this is different," Bree pointed out. She stared at her plate, her voice quieter now. "It's always been different."

A/N: I don't know what to say except I'm really hungry right now, and I wrote most of this to and fro from my math tutorial lmao.

Also this is a double update, so the next few updates will be further away to balance it out... so don't ask "why aren't you updating" lol. If anything it makes me not want to update.
