During the evening, Hilda and Hilary were sitting together on the couch. Hilbert was allowed to go off and do whatever he wanted, but Hilary had Hilda spending a little bit of last minute quality time with her. Currently, they were watching a game show where two families duked it out in survey questions for a chance to play for a million poke-dollars.
Once a commercial came up, Hilda turned to her mother. "Hey, Mom?"
"Yes, dear?" Hilary replied.
"What if I told you... that I'd like to be able to travel with Ash on my journey?" Hilda asked.
Hilary looked at her daughter for several seconds, earning a confused look from her, before grinning.
"I knew it, Hilda. You two were inseparable during your preschool days, so it's no surprise to me that you'd like to be able to hang out with him again. I also noticed how much fun you two seemed to be having during your Pokémon battle. I'm not sure how he feels about it, but after our show is over, we'll call him up and ask him. He and Delia are staying at Professor Juniper's lab while Oak and Delia are on vacation," Hilary responded.
"Awesome! Thanks, Mom!" Hilda said, smiling brightly.
