Naruto watched as Minato and Tobirama jumped through the clones over and over, constantly moving to the next. Each time he'd teleport to one of the further clones from whoever was near. As he was slowly closing in on Hashirama, they were getting closer to him. The thing puzzling him was what their goal was. It didn't click in his head until he slipped up and lost track of Tobirama. It was in that moment that Itachi was gathering chakra to his right eye, and Minato flung a kunai between a clone and Itachi.

It wasn't missed that the two other Hiraishin users had marked eachother. So they were planning something, but what could it be? He then felt someone grab hold of him from behind and with a quick glance, noticed it was Tobirama. Looking back, he watched Minato be hit by the flames of Amaterasu and he realized what was going on, but was it possible?

Sure enough, him and Tobirama appeared where Minato once was and he was about to be engulfed in the flames. Naruto swung his head backwards to do a headbutt to Tobirama, loosening the grip and his EMS spun to life. "Susanoo." He muttered and was surrounded by the black aura.

Everyone watched as the flames engulfed Naruto. Hashirama began to release Sasuki as he sighed, thinking it was over. She immediately dropped to her knees and looked blankly at where the flames were and looked down to the ground. Itachi was panting and clutched his right eye in pain, while Minato and Tobirama continued to watch seriously. No sounds were being made, and even then, they just didn't want to leave anything to chance.

A massive gust exploded past, forcing the flames away and destroying a large portion of the house. In the place of the flames was the upper body of a black armored Susanoo that had flaming eyes.

"W-What? It didn't work?" Tobirama said.

"How could he have protected himself in time? We moved in an instant!" Minato said shocked but internally was happy to see Naruto alive.

"Because he's smaller than you. With his speed and eyes, he had just enough time to form the Susanoo around him." Hashirama said in total seriousness. "Only I can take him on in that form."

"Elder Brother, you're going to use that Jutsu?"

Hashirama nodded. "Not. So. Fast. I'm done here." Naruto said and the Susanoo disappeared. There was a flash of black and red, then he was gone.

"Where'd he go?" Minato said looking around.

Itachi groaned in pain and then looked around. "Where's Sasuki?"

Hashirama went wide eyed. "That was his goal...he wanted me to release her so that he could take her."

"Why wouldn't he have just taken her sooner? He obviously just used the Hiraishin." Tobirama said.

"The Mokuton. That was stopping him from accessing the marker. It is practically a chakra receiver isn't it? Hashirama-sama's Mokuton absorbs chakra, therefore stopping his attempts at Teleporting either to her, or her to him." Itachi said and entered the group they had formed.

"I see...well then we need to use this knowledge to take him on next time." Hashirama said.

"No, Naruto-kun must have already realized it. He would have utilized Hiraishin otherwise. For now, we can't deal with him. Even if we tried facing him right now, we would most likely lose, he won't have to hold back since Sasuki is no longer a hostage. Even though she wasn't to begin with, she is no longer in our possession." Sighing when he finished, Itachi decided to just call it a night.

"What are we supposed to do? He's too fast, and the kid wasn't even using his full capabilites."

"I don't know Elder Brother, but we need to be ready."

-15 Miles North Of Konoha-

Naruto set Sasuki down and rested her against a tree. He sighed and stepped away and looked down from the cliff. It was dark and quiet, nothing but the wind and rustling of the leaves made a sound.

"What's your plan now Naru-kun? Just going take on the whole world? Why did you even take me? I put you into a death state."

"Doesn't mean I'd ever kill you. I can't. I am furious and disappointed that you would betray me, but I can't bring myself to kill you." He suddenly blurred out of sight and appeared in her face with his Sharingan active. His hand reached towards her but then became a tight fist as he backed off. "Despite how bad I want to! I can't!"

She released a breath that she didn't realize was being held. "What now then?"

"Konoha will most likely call to gather the other villages. With Kumo gone, Suna, Iwa, and Kiri will most likely agree to team up to take me down. Despite how strong I am, I myself even am unsure if I could take them on by myself."

Sasuki scoffed at his remark. "You destroyed an entire village in what? Five hours? I'm sure the others wouldn't be a problem. You're becoming a monster, you know that? You're becoming the very thing they all said you were! You ok with that?"

"They wanted a monster, now they have it."

"The hell happened to you? Yeah your life has been rough but the Naruto I know was stronger than that! He didn't let his adversity get the better of him! You are just weak!"

Naruto laughed maniacally "Weak? Me weak? You're delusional."

"Oh? Is that so? You were struggling against Itachi and the weakened Kage as you said they were. You don't have that same overwhelming power do you? Your father really did a number on you didn't he?" Naruto turned away and snarled making her smirk. "How does it feel to be the epitome of Genjutsu, and succumb to Genjutsu?"

"That's enough! I will-"

"What? You'll kill me?" He faltered in and looked away. "Look at yourself Naruto! Do you even recognize who you see anymore? Are you satisfied with all you've done? You are the world's most prolific killer! You have more blood on your hands than anyone ever has! Hell, no one has single handedly wiped out an entire village, so congratulations. You've really become the monster you so wanted to be."

"Shut up. I won't kill you, but that doesn't mean you'll enjoy your stay." He walked away into the darkness and she remained sitting.

What would become of her, and why was she brought here? It made no sense since he seemed to be nothing like what he used to be. The good thing was that whatever prison Minato placed Naruto in, it's made him weaker for now. Still, no normal person could ever hope to take him on. There was also what Itachi said, how Naruto is continuing to seemingly get weaker the more he has gone into the darkness, but wasn't that where his strength was coming from? Why is it now making him weak to be committed to his darkness?

The night was coming on more and she decided to no longer just sit patiently. Standing up, she walked around to gage her surroundings. All that was apparent was that he placed them on a massive cliff and that it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. The forests that were common in the land were apparent and that was her only sign that told her they still were in Fire Country.

She stepped down and began to walk down the cliff. "So that's your choice?"

Sasuki looked around as everything faded away, showing her back seated against a tree. "What is this?"

"I wanted to see what you would do."

"I'm leaving, I will become stronger and I'll kill you! You here me Naruto? I'm going to kill you!"

She stood and began running, to her surprise he wasn't pursuing. "I won't stop you if that is your choice. But if this is the route you choose, you'll never be strong enough. You don't have enough hatred, enough pain to ever have the power I have!"

She looked at him and shook her head, "You really have become pathetic, Naruto." With that she shunshined away, leaving Naruto by himself.

"You know...for the coming future, you'll need some allies." A voice spoke from behind Naruto. It was deep and rumbled even as he spoke. Naruto turned and noticed a figure in a black cloak with red clouds on it. This man had short spiky black hair, and an orange mask that swirled around the right eye.

"So you propose that the Akatsuki are those allies?"

"Yes. Join us, Naruto Uchiha, and together, we will bring peace, and destroy any opposition."

"Oh?" Naruto then disappeared and held a kunai to the man's throat from behind him. "And what makes you think that you can help me?"

"You can't beat me, kid." He then walked straight through Naruto's arm and stood across from him. "We have several S Ranked Nukenin. With you, our power is absolute, together, peace will be brought."

"And I'm supposed to believe you? What's the plan? What's your end goal?"

"Yes. We want the same as you, to create peace. We sought to gather the Biju, to make a weapon that was unopposable, and force an end to wars. But, with you, and us together, that is not necessary. We will make up of the most powerful shinobi in the world, our power insurmountable. We will force order. It's been proven effective in Amegakure."

"If I refuse?"

"Then I kill you here and now."

Naruto's Sharingan began spinning. "Is that so?" The masked man prepared himself as a chain came our his sleeves that attached in the center. Smirking Naruto deactivated his eyes and chuckled "I'm listening."

"I'm Tobi, we will gather and in three years. Be prepared because when we do, we will begin our mission."

"Why the wait?"

"You are only barely going to be Thirteen. You're very powerful now, but your body has yet to mature, you'll become even stronger in that time. Train, become as powerful as you can be, I have your partner here for you."

"My partner?"

"We work in pairs, Naruto. You will work together on missions and train together. His name is Kisame Hoshigaki."

"One of the Seven Swordsmen of Kiri?"

"Formerly of Kiri. Pleased to meet you, Uchiha Naruto." A voice spoke from behind Naruto. He turned and saw a man that resembled a lot like a shark.

"Not so much the same...Do know, that you should never be relaxed. You should be wary at all times, around me." Activating his Eternal Mangekyo, it spun wildly as he glared at Kisame.

He took placed his rigid sword over his shoulder and smiled. "The same goes for you, Uchiha. I have a feeling we will get along just fine."

The next day Sasuki reentered the village and was met by Itachi and several ANBU. They immediately took her to the Hokage and left as Itachi remained with Hiruzen.

"So what happened?" Hiruzen asked.

"Nothing. He took me and then let me go, letting me make the choice. When I left, he did not get in my way."

"Did he say anything?"

Sasuki looked at Itachi and shook her head. "Nothing much, other than he knows that Konoha will plan to unite the other nations. He said he doubts he'd be able to take every nation on at once."

"Anything else?"

"I declared that I would kill him. Become strong enough to do so, his response was that I never would because I lack his amount of hatred and pain."

"Hmmm. Well, this buys us time. Since he won't be planning on striking soon, we can get ready."

"Yes, Sandaime-sama, but I hardly believe he would sit around doing nothing. He will get stronger."

Hiruzen nodded, "Yes, but you've managed to beat him all this time."

"They weren't death matches. If we both wanted to kill, I am unsure of the outcome."

"Perhaps, but you still have the ability to do what no one else has been able to do. Use that, you will take Sasuki, train her and get her as adept in the Sharingan and her skills as possible."

"Hai, Sandaime-sama."

Hiruzen dismissed the two and when they left, the former Kage enter the room. "Minato, what exactly had you done to Naruto? The truth."

Minato nodded to Hiruzen and sighed. "I imprisoned him in his mind. But not entirely. It is like when splitting chakras, the part that I imprisoned was his dark half and the part that was in control to this point."

"So it placed the lighter side in control?" Hiruzen asked. To which Minato nodded.

"What happened to the imprisoned part?"

They all turned to Hashirama then back at Minato who looked down. "He was tortured mentally and emotionally..."

"Why did you-"

Cutting Hiruzen off "He was about to kill you, and potentially Sasuki. It was the only sure way to protect the village. I can't alter the nature of my Jutsu, as he said it has a power capability as Kotoamatsukami, but without the freedom. It only works as a temporary prison. Had I placed him entirely in it, he would have died. However with his own ability with Genjutsu, it is likely he may be able to survive, as I am not as great at it."

"So that was why he seemed weaker. It serves as the principle of sealing. You sealed half of him, which was the half where most of his power came from. When he was free from his prison he wasn't fully there yet. As you said, he would have died had you not done it the way you did. The question is, will he get that power back?" Tobirama said making Minato nod as he spoke. It was the best way to describe his Jutsu's affects.

"That depends mostly on him. It isn't fully gone, he'd need to train." Minato said.

"So we can get stronger, while he is pretty much trying to regain his former strength. How long will that take?" Hiruzen asked.

Minato shrugged "I'm not sure. Couple years maybe."

"Minato? When you said he was tortured mentally and emotionally, in what way was that?"

"He was living his worst fears and what brought him the most pain, over and over. The entire time he would relive a tragedy that he endured..."

"Like the deaths of Shishui, and Kakashi...or losing Sasuki..." Hiruzen said.

"So that was why he didn't attack her again like he did previously...he already had to watch her die repeatedly in that Jutsu of yours..." Hashirama said. "That is a cruel Jutsu..."

Tobirama chuckled "I approve of the Jutsu. Very effective." They all looked at him "What? Yeah maybe using it on his son was arguable but as a Jutsu, I think it's a great one to have. Highly potent and effective."

"Ok then...the next topic to discuss is in regards to you three."

They looked to Hiruzen and understood, the topic of what was to happen to them would have had to come eventually. They all knew Orochimaru summoned them through Tobirama's Jutsu. That meant only he could release them...but Naruto took away his ability to use Jutsu ever again.

Meaning, they were stuck, and couldn't be released from the Jutsu. On top of that, they'd never be able to do what they wanted if it was against the village's wishes. They potentially could become slaves and have no say in it. There was no self deactivation and they couldn't break Kotoamatsukami.

They sat down and prepared for what was to come. "I don't know how to break the Jutsu...and because Naruto had placed the Kotoamatsukami on you, you will never be able to defy the village. I have no power to stop that."

"So what is the plan Saru?"

"Honestly I'm not sure, Tobirama-sensei. I will do what I can to make sure you aren't used. If we are attacked you will respond, but other than that, you will not be forced on missions."

They nodded and stood up to leave the room. When they left, Hiruzen sighed and felt a huge weight on his shoulders. He never wanted any of this to ever happen. Things only seemed that they would become worse and worse before it ever gets better. Something he openly wondered was if he'd live long enough to see things get better. If he'd ever see Naruto on the good side again. Then again, Naruto felt that he was in the right, so maybe, this was how it would be from now on. He'd need to plan on how to kill someone he thought of like a grandson at one point.

Life could be cruel and it seemed that as he was blessed and lucky to live such a long life, the cost came that someone he once was so close to was once again an enemy. This time however, it wouldn't be as hopeful.

"I can't fend off Naruto as I could with Orochimaru...Naruto came and immediately handled him, I barely managed...if I get the opening, there is only one way I can think of that would even hope to defeating him...but the cost of the Jutsu is steep. The cost on myself is one I accept, but Naruto...I don't think I can bring myself to do it. How am I supposed to? It is an impossible thing to ask a man...but as Hokage...I'll have to do what I must...I only hope that you can forgive me, and maybe in doing so, you can finally be released from your hell."

Hey guys short chapter I know. Just setting up the timeskip that will take place for next chapter. Still to this day, as I've mentioned in a past chapter, I am juggling between a few ways this story can end. Still, one day it will definitely be redone, as it is not how I imagined it would be. I've said it already before and still believe it that the past chapters were way better than where it went. But as it being my first story I've learned a lot from it. See y'all in the next chapter.
