It was a three day weekend that weekend with a holiday that Monday, but Kurama still insisted on training the follow Saturday morning since they missed it the prior Saturday when they both were too tired when they woke up properly that morning. They were the secluded part of the park where they usually trained, just the two of them. Kurama was a bit rougher than usual when they trained, but Nanashi did her best to keep pace with him. She wondered if Hiei would be watching them or even join them, but she dared not ask Kurama after him; even if he was the only way of contacting him. She wished she could talk to him though about last weekend.
They finished up the training, getting an inexpensive meal from a near by food stand, taking it back to the secluded area to eat. Nanashi felt worn out, on top of grateful Kurama paid for the food. She sat on the ground next to him on her jacket as she ate, not sure what topics to bring up for conversation. She could tell he was looking at her though, like he had something to say.
"What is it?" she asked curiously.
"Have you noticed anything strange with Kaito at school?" he asked unexpectedly.
She shrugged. "I've caught him staring at me a few times, but other than that, he doesn't speak to me," she answered. "It's kind of annoying, but he can't do me any harm. The two of us on that disaster of a date was your doing if I recall correctly."
"Maybe if you told him off or beat him up, he would desist," he joked softly. "But he has been staring at myself as well." He shook his head. "It's possibly nothing to be concerned with."
"He's a human, so why bother touching him?" she said with her own laugh. "Unless he's possessed or something." She looked over at him. "What did you really want to ask?" she persisted.
He shifted, looking down at the ground. "Would you be interested in a one on one with Youko...?" he spoke barely above a whisper.
She parted her lips, needing a second to catch up mentally what he was asking. "Would you be okay with that?" she counter questioned, not sure of the answer herself. She had wondered at it after last week, but apprehensively.
"It's me, but it's not me," he explained. "So confusing. Me. Without restraint. Lacking morality," he rambled. "The demon part of me."
"He calls you Suichi when talks about you," she mentioned.
"The human part of me," he replied. "Not strong, but morally responsible."
"Both are you," she responded.
He nodded, but then shook his head. "Hard to balance, especially in the case of desires," he explained. "Conflicting desires and aligned desires even." He looked up at her. "Youko toyed with you last week and enjoyed every second of it. The only thing that kept him restrained in part was... the audience... Youko wants a night with you, just the two of you. He was wanting tomorrow night since we don't have school come Monday."
"Do you want that?" she asked on bated breath. Desire conflicted even within her at wanted that and not wanting that at the same time.
"He thinks you can handle it. He reveled in you attacking him, enjoyed subduing you after that the most," he explained.
"Yes, but do you want that?" she pressed. "Not as Youko, nor Suichi, but as Kurama?" Silently, she ruled to do as he answered, hoping she liked the answer indeed.
He cocked his head sideways. "As the blend of the two, I want to know if you can handle it as well," he answered.
"Okay," she agreed, feeling flushed at the very idea.
