Chapter 34: All for One
Author's Note: Hey everyone! This is a pretty long chapter, but I decided to do pretty much everything before the All of One vs All Might battle in one chapter since it doesn't have too much to do with Pokemon. I tried to sprinkle in a few here and there before the actual fight scenes, but it was pretty difficult considering the events in this chapter were more drama rather than action.
Another thing I want to note is that I've had a problem with keeping track of who has what Pokemon. For example, I've made mistakes for side characters, giving them a pre-evolved Pokemon when I already stated in a previous chapter that their Pokemon had already reached its final evolution. This is definitely something I should have organized beforehand, and I hope that I don't make that same mistake anymore.
Finally, I just wanna thank you guys for leaving reviews and suggestions! I don't get too many, but I'm happy that people are leaving any at all. If you have any suggestions for Pokemon a character should have, Pokemon abilities that can substitute some of the more unique Quirks, or whatever else, I'd be happy to take them into consideration. I more or less have things planned out for this and the next season of the anime, but I'm always happy to improve, so who knows? If you're idea is better than mine, I'll definitely place it in there.
Anyway, thanks for reading and enjoy!
The next day, still on the students' summer vacation, the media had swarmed around UA, demanding some kind of response. There was a lot the school had to answer for. This was the second time Villains had found the supposedly secret location of the students. It was honestly a miracle that, as far as they knew, none of them had died both times.
The one who was taking it the hardest though seemed to be All Might. Given his status as the number one Hero and a teacher at UA, he felt like the blame rested solely on him for what happened to all the students, especially Katsuki.
At that same time, most of the teachers decided to hold a meeting. "Attacked by Villains at a training camp meant to prepare the students for them. We should be embarrassed." Togedemaru said. "We were too naive to think that the Villains were simply coming out of the shadows. They have already started a war. One to destroy Hero Society."
"Would there have even been a way to avoid this? Even if we knew?" Midnight asked. "I mean, ever since the USJ incident, we've been finding out new things about these Villains almost every day."
Present Mic leaned back in his chair and let out a sigh. "Our mistake was that we got too complacent. We thought we had time to prepare for another attack like this."
Snipe nodded in agreement. "Having the Sports Festival right after the attack? We can't keep bringing attention to ourselves as we've been doing. The kidnapping of a UA student… this is our biggest failure as Heroes and as teachers. I cannot blame the people for losing their trust in us."
Principle Togedemaru began rummaging from under the desk and pulled out a tablet and a newspaper. "The media is full of criticism against us right now. The reason the Villains took Bakugo was likely because of his violent nature which was very evident at the Sports Festival. If he were to turn to their side, it would be over for UA as we know it."
Present Mic moved his chair forward and brought his hands together in thought. "Now that we're talking about trust and all, there's something else I'd like to mention. It's pretty obvious now. There's a traitor at UA, isn't there?"
His words shocked the others. Everyone was thinking it, but nobody seemed to want to admit it. "Only the teachers and the Pussycats knew about the campsite! Hell, if the students used their phones, they could even-"
"Stop it, Mic!" Midnight yelled, but it did little to sway the man. "Why the hell should I stop?! We need to clean up this place or else it's over!"
"Then what about you?" Snipe asked. "What proof do you have that you're not the traitor? How about everyone else in this room? Can you give proof for all of them?" That seemed to do that trick as Mic sat back down. "We can't keep pointing fingers or else we'll destroy ourselves from the inside. We need to be careful with this kind of investigation."
"At the very least, I trust all of you, not that I can really prove my innocence," Togedemaru said. "But for now, our priority should be to guarantee the safety of our students. Since you brought up the idea of a traitor, I want to mention an idea I've had for a long time now. Perhaps we could-"
"A phone call is here! A phone call is here!"
They all turned their attention to All Might who's phone had a very peculiar ringtone. He pulled it out of his pocket and quickly approached the door. "Ah, sorry, I need to take this. Please, continue without me for now."
Once he was outside, he let out another sigh of disappointment before answering it. "Hello? What is it, Officer Tsukauchi?"
"Listen, All Might. We were just getting the statements of Vlad King and Aizawa when we made an unexpected development!" He said rather excitedly. "We may be able to determine the location of the League of Villains at this very moment!"
All Might's eyes widened in shock. "Are you serious, Tsukauchi?!"
"Yeah, I was pretty surprised too. Two weeks ago, one of my coworkers was out gathering any information he could about the League of Villains. He found out that a suspicious-looking man was seen entering a supposedly vacant building." The detective said. "After checking with the owner of the building, we found out that there was some kind of hidden bar there. At first, we thought nothing of it as it, but the man described entering it has strikingly similar features to one of the ones that kidnapped the student! Once we can confirm all of this information, we'll begin planning our assault."
He cleared his throat before speaking with a more serious tone. "This is confidential information, so I'm only telling you for now, but this time, we plan on asking the help of even more Pros… All Might, we need your help."
All Might gripped his phone tightly as he instinctively entered his Muscle Form. "What an amazing friend you are, Tsukauchi. I'm in, and I'm telling those Villains I'm in this for revenge."
That same day, preparations to siege the League had already begun, and this time, the Heroes had no intentions of letting the Villains find out about it. They were doing this, and they were doing this now.
Top Heroes from across the country were called in for this mission. Endeavor, Edgeshot, Gang Orca Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, Best Jeanist, Tiger from the Pussycats, even Gran Torino. They were going all out.
Eventually, they had begun their strategy meeting. The plan was quite simple, siege the Villains' hideout. They were to apprehend the Villains, but above all else, rescue Katsuki Bakugo.
Meanwhile, with the students, several had been hospitalized. Some were able to go free, but the ones that had been severely injured or been around the gas for a prolonged period of time had to stay for several more days.
As for Izuku Midoriya, for two days, he had high fevers, fainting spells, and convulsions. It was so bad that even though Recovery Girl and even the police had come to see him, he couldn't remember a thing. His Pokemon faired a little better, but they were still exhausted, even several days after the incident. Inside his room, Izuku had his Pokemon out of their Pokeballs resting on special beds on the ground.
Eventually, when the others had found out that Izuku had regained consciousness, they visited as a group.
"Ah, good to see you're okay, Midoriya!" Denki said as he slowly opened the door, revealing the rest of the class. "Midoriya! We've got a melon for you and your Pokemon! We bought it together!" Minoru said as he held the fruit above his head.
Fumikage stepped forward and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Midoriya, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused."
Izuku smiled and shook his head. "M-Me too… how are the others?"
"Well, Jiro and Hagakure are still recovering from the Toxic Gas. They were around it for too long, but the doctors said they'll be fine. I heard that Yaoyorozu is conscious as well. Everyone except them came here." Tenya said though the atmosphere was tense.
"Y-Yeah… fifteen of us…"
"Because Bakugo isn't here…" Shoto said, making Izuku remember what had happened that day. He tried to help him, but it was no use. They took Katsuki right in front of him…
"You know, All Might once said that we can't save the people we can't reach. That's just one of the limitations of being a Hero… but Kacchan… he was in my reach. I could've saved him. That's… that's why I wanted to become a Hero." Tears began streaming down his face as his three Pokemon got up from their beds and began comforting him. "I… Mr. Aizawa was right. I saved one person and became useless. My body… it wouldn't move! I was so concerned about saving Kota that I couldn't save the person right in front of me!"
"Then let's go save him," Eijiro said, shocking everyone there. "Todoroki and I came yesterday to check up on you guys and we overheard something. All Might and an officer were talking to Yaoyorozu…"
He told them everything they heard. With the help of a Class B student, Momo had managed to slip her phone into the armor of one of the Villains, letting her track it remotely. She had given the location to All Might and the officer.
Shoto also remembered the exact conversation between them. "You know, a while back, Aizawa said you could not make decisions under pressure. You've grown so much since then. Thank you, Yaoyorozu." All Might told her.
"My classmate is in danger… I hate that this is all I can do to help." She said.
All Might smiled and pat her on the head. "Don't worry. That feeling alone makes you worthy of being a Hero. Just leave the rest to us."
Tenya clenched his fist and slowly walked toward the two. "Don't tell me you're gonna get the location from Yaoyorozu?" Shoto scoffed and stood his ground. "So what if I do?"
It was Hosu all over again. Except this time, there weren't any adults to stop them. "No! All Might was right! We should just leave it to them! Don't act stupid!" Tenya yelled.
"I know!" Eijiro said. "But I can't just sit here and do nothing! After hearing my best friend was a target, I just sat there and did nothing, and you expect me to do that again?! If I don't do anything, how can I call myself a Hero?!"
"K-Kirishima, calm down, we're in a hospital," Denki said, holding his finger up to his lips. "Look man, it's fine to be upset, but we can't be doing this now."
"Iida's right." Tsuyu added. Eijiro clenched his fist and slammed it against the wall. "I know. I know you're all right… but still! Midoriya, we can still reach him!"
Everyone was extremely on edge, especially Izuku. This was the perfect opportunity, but he knew better. He understood why Tenya was so upset because they were in this situation before. The last thing he wanted was another Hosu.
"Wait, wait, so let me get this straight. You wanna get the location of the Villains from Yaoyorozu and save Bakugo yourselves?" Mina asked.
"That's right," Shoto said. "The objective of the Villains was to kill us, but they took Bakugo alive… thing is, we don't know how long that'll last. Kirishima and I are going."
"Enough messing around!" Tenya yelled. "Wait, calm down," Mezo said. "Listen, I understand Kirishima's frustration about not doing anything and Todoroki's for having him taken right before his eyes because I was there too. If I was just a little bit more careful, I could've saved him right then and there, but I wasn't. Still, we shouldn't act on our emotions now, should we?"
"W-Well I think we should leave it to All Might. We don't have permission to fight anymore and I think them and their Pokemon are strong enough to handle it." Yuga said, Fumikage nodding in agreement. "He's right, but… I'm always the one being saved. I don't think I'm in any place to speak…"
"But-"
"Guys, you aren't the only ones who are worried." Tsuyu said. "We're all still shocked about what happened, but you need to think this through. Even if you think it's the right thing to do, deciding to fight and break the rules again… that makes you no different than Villains."
Everyone just stood there silently, completely unsure of how to respond to that. It wasn't until there was a knock on the door when someone spoke. A doctor entered, saying that Midoriya had to be examined and everyone had to leave.
"Y-Yeah, let's get outta here. I wanna check on Jiro and Hagakure too." Sero said. Everyone nodded and headed out. "I'll talk to you later, Midoriya," Ochako said as she walked out the door. "Yeah, thanks, everyone."
However, Eijiro still had something to say. He walked up close and spoke softly. "I spoke to Yaoyorozu yesterday already. If we're gonna do anything, we're doing it tonight. I know you're the most frustrated out of all of us, so I'm telling you this. If you're up for it, we'll be waiting in front of the hospital tonight." Little did they know, Tenya was standing right behind the door, listening to the whole thing.
The doctor informed Izuku that due to Recovery Girl and Chansey's healing, he and his Pokemon would be fine. They'd be able to move their limbs, but there was a catch. "Kid, you got really messed up. You've suffered too many injuries in such a short amount of time, but this time was different."
"Different? How?"
"I looked at a record of your medical history and all your previous injuries, and your muscles are beginning to destroy themselves. Recovery Girl caught me up to date with that power of yours, and your body can't take much more. The same goes for your Pokemon. Your Pokemon's ligaments have deteriorated badly. That means if you or your Pokemon injure yourselves like that again two or three more times, it's over. You likely wouldn't be able to use your limbs anymore."
Izuku was completely horrified at the news. Using One for All just a few more times like that and he'd not just be putting himself at risk, but his Pokemon as well. Their dreams could all disappear, just like that.
"Anyway, I'm putting you in physical therapy. Make sure you do your exercises as much as possible, even if it hurts. I'll leave the rest to UA so you'll be discharged today." The doctor said. "Thank you… sorry for the trouble."
The doctor smiled and sat down next to the boy. "You know, Recovery Girl was pretty upset with you. She must've spoken to you a lot if she was that mad… but I wouldn't say it was for nothing." He pulled out a small piece of paper from his coat and handed it to the boy.
It was a letter from Kota… "Healing starts with your mindset, so don't let it bog you down. Keep looking ahead." The doctor said. Later that day, Izuku headed to the rooftop to read what the young boy had to say.
"Dear Mr. Midoriya, I'm sorry I punched you in the balls. Thank you for saving me even though you didn't know who I was. Please get well soon so I can thank you in person. From, Kota."
That was when Izuku remembered why he became a Hero.
"Hey, mom!" The boy said as he answered his phone. "Yeah, they discharged me today but I still have something to do. I'll be back tomorrow or the day- Yes, I can move, but my body still kinda hurts. The Pokemon are doing fine too. They're resting now. I think UA wants to keep the students close and the media far… huh?"
"Izuku… do you have to go to UA?"
That night, Eijiro and Shoto waited outside the hospital. They had given them about an hour to come out. If they didn't then the two would head to the location on their own. "I wonder if Yaoyorozu's going…" Eijiro said.
"It's really up to her. Regardless, we'll find a way to-"
Suddenly, the doors opened and Momo stepped out, Izuku walking right behind her. "So, have you decided?" Eijiro asked. Momo nodded and handed him her new phone. On it, she had an app open that showed the last known location of the other phone before it had died. Luckily, the phone had pretty much been stationary, so, likely, it was still there.
"Listen… I-"
"Wait!" From behind them, Tenya approached. His Skarmory followed close behind him, blocking their way out. "Why? Why did it have to be you guys? Of all people…" He clenched his fist and slowly walked over to them. "You're the ones who stopped me from doing something reckless… you two were the ones who received amnesty with me. Why are you trying to make the same mistake I made?!"
"What are you talking abou-" Eijiro and Momo were confused, but Shoto stopped them to allow Tenya to finish. "We're still students and UA is in a bad spot right now. Do you guys understand who has to take responsibility if something happens to you?"
"Iida!" Izuku walked over to him. "We get it! We don't wanna break the rules either but- ack!" Without hesitation, Tenya threw a punch, hitting Izuku right in the face. "I'm worried too, you know! I'm the damn class representative! I'm worried about all of my classmates! Not just Bakugo! When I saw you in the hospital, I could only think of my brother!" Those words struck a chord with everyone there. Skarmory walked up to his trainer and rested his head on his shoulder, calming him down.
"What if something happens to you and you end up like him? Are you saying you don't give a shit about how much I worry?!" He grabbed onto Izuku's shoulders and shook him. "I don't want what happened to him to happen to you."
"Iida," Shoto called his attention. "It's not like we intend to face them head-on and win. We want to save him without fighting."
"This is a covert operation," Eijiro said. "That way, we can do this without breaking any rules."
"I trust Todoroki, Iida." Momo backed them up. "But even so, I plan on joining them and stopping them if anything goes wrong."
"Not you too…" Iida let go of Izuku and shook his head.
"I… I'm not sure what to do…" Izuku said. "I was told I could still save him and I couldn't just do nothing. I have to do something!"
Tenya let out a sigh and returned Skarmory to his Pokeball. "We're not gonna agree on this, are we? Then take me with you."
"What?!"
And with that, they were on their way. Momo was the most concerned about the situation out of all of them. She knew none of them were thinking clearly. This plan was bound to fail. Still, there was a chance…
As they sat on the train, Momo began giving all of the information she ad. "We'll arrive at around ten." She held up her phone and showed it to the group. "Here, I looked up the location and it's in Kamino Ward, Yokohama City in Kanagawa."
"Did you tell anything to the others about tonight?" Izuku asked. "Yeah," Shoto replied. "They tried even harder to stop us."
"Uraraka said some harsh stuff too," Eijiro said. "She said that Bakugo'll feel embarrassed if everyone goes to save him."
Shoto let out a sigh and looked at everyone. "Just to be clear, what we're doing is selfish and nobody is gonna approve of it. You can still turn back."
"I wouldn't be here if I was hesitating," Eijiro said, and everyone else agreed.
Once they arrived at Kamino Ward, Momo told them the plan. "We can't go rushing in just yet. We need to be careful about every move we make from here on. The Villains know what we look like, remember? We could be attacked at any moment."
"Right! Covert Operation!" Izuku crossed his arms and smiled.
"You're standing out even more now, Midoriya."
"Then our job won't be easy, especially under these conditions," Tenya said. Eijiro rubbed the back of his neck and let out a sigh. "Damn… what should we do then? There has to be something…"
Momo's face turned red and she pointed to the large Pokemart behind them. "I… I have a plan."
Disguises! They entered and bought new outfits, wigs, and other accessories needed to hide their identities.
The first to finish was Izuku. Now, he was Punk Guy Midoriya! Full with shades and a (fake) gold necklace. "Ora!"
Then there was Butler Todoroki, wearing a suit and now with a new black wig to hide his very noticeable hair. "I see…"
Momo, the woman who had chosen out their disguises was next. Now, she was Beauty Yaoyorozu, full-on with a new pink dress and a new hairdo that she managed to pull off in 15 minutes. "This should do it."
There was also Ruin Maniac Iida, complete with suspenders, a bowtie, and a mustache. "What… what is this?"
Then there was Street Thug Kirishima. He wore a red jacket over a white shirt and red pants. He also now wore his hair down. "Heh, not bad."
The disguises weren't perfect, but at the very least, it should keep them from being recognized immediately.
"Ora! Ora!" Izuku was trying to practice his "punk" impression with Eijiro's help. "No! Stick out your jaw more!"
"ORAAA!"
"There we go!"
Momo was satisfied with her work. "Kids would stand out in a ward like this. At the very least, this should help us blend in. Okay, let's get on our wa-"
"Look, it's UA!"
Ah, shit. Had they already been found out? They all turned back and were at least relieved to find that nobody had noticed them. Rather, they were all referring to the big screen where Aizawa, Vlad King, and Togedemaru were all holding a press conference.
"We want to apologize for the injuries of 27 students from the Hero Course under our watch," Aizawa said. "We were underprepared and we apologize for causing unease in our society due to our negligence in taking precaution as an institute." They all bowed. "We deeply apologize."
Aizawa hated being on TV too… to think that UA's reputation had gone down the drain just like that.
"Excuse me!" One of the news reporters said. "I'm from Togetic TV. Students at UA have now had four Villain encounters since the start of the school year. This time, students even got injured. How did you explain this to their families, and what exactly are you doing to make sure this doesn't happen again?"
They already addressed all of this at the Sports Festival… they're really making them say all of this again? So UA really is being treated like the bad guy…
"We are increasing surveillance in the surrounding areas and reviewing the school's current security measures to firmly guarantee the safety of our students." Principle Togedemaru said. "That is what we told them."
"Huh, the hell kinda answer is that?"
"They're not protecting the students!"
"UA defeated by Villains? What a joke."
"How can they guarantee anything? They're just trying to protect themselves."
The crowd around them erupted into conversation about the interview. Results meant everything, and now, the public was being turned against UA… it was all going according to plan.
"See that?" Tomura asked as he pointed to the screen. They were inside the hidden bar that also served as their base of operations. All the Villains, even Magne and Spinner, had found themselves there. The only three to not make it were Mustard, Muscular, and Moonfish who had all been apprehended at the training camp. Across from them was Katsuki Bakugo, strapped onto a chair.
"It's weird, isn't it? The Heroes being criticized so harshly by the press. They were just slightly off the mark when dealing with this, right? I mean, I know their job is to protect you, but everyone makes mistakes. They aren't supposed to be perfect or anything. Nowadays, Heroes are so uptight, wouldn't you say, Bakugo?"
Spinner crossed his arms and leaned against the walls. "The moment a Hero starts being compensated for helping others, they stop being Heroes. That's Stain's teaching."
"The system that transforms people's suffering into money and glory, and the people who defend that system with rules and regulations with citizens that blame losers instead of encouraging them." Tomura clenched his fist. "You wanna know the reason we fight? We fight to question that system. What does it really mean to be a Hero? What is justice? We'll let people decide for themselves whether this society is truly just. And we intend to win this war. You like winning, right?"
Katsuki scoffed and looked at Tomura right in the eyes. The man smiled and stood up. "Dabi, release him."
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
"It's fine! He's a recruit. We should treat him like an equal! Besides, you can tell when you can win or not in a situation like this. Am I right, UA student?"
After another short argument, they eventually managed to convince Twice to undo the restraints himself.
"I apologize for our methods." Compress said. "But don't get us wrong. We're not just gangsters who enjoy crime. We didn't just capture you for the hell of it."
"All of us here have different paths." Tomura continued. "We have all suffered, bound by people, rules, and even Heroes. I'm sure you-"
Suddenly, the moment Katsuki's restraints were released, he hit Twice in the face with his elbow and charged toward the table. He knew where they placed his Pokeballs, and he needed to find them! Eventually, he spotted them under the table and picked them up.
He sent out his Typhlosion and hid behind him. "On and on with your bullshit. Idiots like you can't get to the point so they just run their mouths. 'Please join us so we can kill people!' That's what you want, right? The hell did you expect me to answer?" He smiled and stood his ground. "My goal is to be just like All Might. No matter what anyone says, that isn't gonna change!"
The Villains all gripped their Pokeballs, ready to fight, just waiting for Tomura's signal… but nothing happened. Instead, they all silently stood there as the interview on the television continued.
"You spoke about student safety, Eraser Head. However, it seems you urged them to fight during the incident. Care to explain this?"
"We couldn't fully grasp the situation, so I opted for the best course of action that would avoid the worst-case scenario."
"Worst case scenario?" One of the reported questioned. "26 students were injured and one was abducted. Wouldn't you call that the worst-case scenario?"
"At that moment, I believed the worst-case scenario was one of the students being cornered and killed."
Togedemaru held his hand up and began speaking. "Most of the injuries were caused by Toxic Gas created by one of the Villain's Weezing. Thanks to Ms. Kendo and Mr. Tetsutetsu's actions, none were seriously injured from it. Furthermore, we are doing our best to provide support for our students, but none of them are showing signs of serious psychological trauma at this moment."
"So you're saying we should be thankful?" The reporter asked.
"No, we're not saying that at all." Togedemaru clarified. "We believe that the worst outcome would be one that infringed upon the future."
"Can you say the same about Katsuki Bakugo?" Uh oh. Vlad King knew what this reporter was trying to do. He glanced over at Aizawa to try and see how he would react to the question.
"He enrolled in UA High School with excellent grades and won the Sports Festival. In Middle School, he was able to resist being consumed by a Muk with the help of his Pokemon. His history seems to show a tough and heroic character, but that doesn't seem to be the case. His violent behavior at the awards ceremony and the finals show signs of mental instability." The reporter looked at Aizawa right in the eyes. "What if the Villains intentionally kidnapped him for this reason? What if they try to lure him in and corrupt him to join them? What basis do you have for still saying he has a future?"
Vlad King knew this was bad. This reporter was being way too aggressive and was trying to purposefully provoke Aizawa. This reported knew he hated the media and was trying to get him to say something he could use against him. "Don't fall for it, Eraser." He whispered.
"As an educator, I take full responsibility for Katsuki Bakugo's behavior," Aizawa said. Both Vlad King and Togedemaru let out a sigh of relief seeing the man reply with a rather calm answer. "However, his actions at the Sports Festival come from his ideals of strength. He's training harder than anyone to become a Hero. If the Villains think they can convert him to their side, then they are sorely mistaken."
The reported grit his teeth and held up his notebook. "I'm not asking how you feel. I'm asking if you have a concrete plan."
"We're not just standing around waiting for things to happen," Togedemaru said. "We are working with the police and other Heroes. We will definitely get our student back. That I can guarantee."
Katsuki smiled and crossed his arms. "Nicely said, Mr. Aizawa. That's how it is, you scum!" Typhlosion roared in agreement. They tried to gain a new ally, but all they got was him. He knew he could use this though. As long as they wanted him on their side, they wouldn't kill him. He needed to take a few down and get out before they changed their minds.
"Just so you know, I'm still allowed to fight!" He yelled.
"Clever brat." Magne tightened her fist and got ready to send out her Pokemon. Dabi smiled and shook his head. "No, he's an idiot."
Toga smiled and clapped her hands. "Let's kill him!"
"You could've pretended to join us, even if you didn't want to." Compress said. "You made a mistake."
"If I don't wanna do something, I won't even fake it. I don't plan on staying in this damn place for too long anyway."
Tomura looked him in the eyes and tightened his fist. "No! Shigaraki, calm down!" Kurogiri tried to stop him, but the man raised his hand regardless, scaring even Katsuki. Luckily, all he did was hold his hand up and stop the others. "Don't touch him, any of you. He's still valuable to us."
He let out a sigh. "I wish you could've listened to me. I thought you'd understand where I'm coming from."
Katsuki was a bit more scared now, but he didn't back down. "Understand? No way."
"Then I supposed I have no choice. There Heroes said they were gonna investigate us, and I don't have time to sit around and convince you." He turned to the screen. "Master, lend me your power."
From behind the screen, the voice of another man could be heard. "Good choice, Tomura Shigaraki."
Katsuki smiled. "So you're not even the boss around here? What a drag." Tomura didn't respond. He simply lowered his hand and got ready. "Compress, Kurogiri put him to sleep again."
The two sent out Beheeyem and Alakazam and compress let out a sigh. "I can't believe he's this bad at listening." Compress said. "If you want me to listen, get on your knees and die!"
Katsuki didn't have his Z-Ring on him, so he couldn't use that, but a full power Lava Plume could blow them away. Still, he needed to be smart about this. That Alakazam was going to be a problem if it managed to grab on to him. Think! He needed to create an opening… somewhere… anywhere…
*knock knock
Suddenly, a knock was heard from the door. "Hello, this is Pizza-la Kommo-o."
Everyone stood there quietly, confused as to what was happening, allowing someone to crash in from the wall behind them. "Smash!" It was Lucario and All Might!
"Kurogiri! Get us out of here!" Before Alakazam could do anything though, Kamui Woods and his Trevenant appeared. "Now, use Ingrain and trap them!" The Pokemon dug its roots into the ground and used them to wrap around the Villains, trapping them.
"A tree? Chandelure come- ack!" Gran Torino's Hawlucha suddenly came in and knocked out a few of the Villains. "Don't be impatient!"
"Nice work, Kamui Woods and Trevenant!" All Might said. "And of course, the veteran faster than the eye can see, Gran Torino and Hawlucha! There's nowhere to run, League of Villains! Why you ask?"
He smiled and slammed his fist into his hand. "Because we are here!"
"Right after the press conference?!" Compress said. "Don't tell me this was all planned!"
The door was kicked down and Edgeshot with his Venomoth entered the room, leading a full group of policemen. "When you're on offense, you neglect defense. That's when you're most vulnerable. We're not the only ones from Pizza-la. Endeavor and more policemen are waiting outside too."
Endeavor crossed his arms as he and Charizard waited impatiently. "Tsukauchi! Why does that American get to rush in while I stay here?!"
"In case they escape, you can be here to catch them."
All Might smiled and looked at Katsuki. "I'm sure you were scared. Don't worry anymore. You are safe now, young man." The boy was scared, but he didn't wanna show it. "I wasn't scared! I was fine, damnit!" Typhlosion couldn't help but snicker as All Might gave them a thumbs up.
Tomura grit his teeth and looked at All Might. "I went through all the trouble of making this happen… Why are you coming after me?" Everyone was now restrained and apprehended. He knew it wouldn't be easy to get out. But he knew they had extra help. They weren't the only ones after all!
Just a few minutes before that, Momo had led the group to where the phone was last seen. They found themselves in a strange and relatively quiet part of town. "This is where the phone was last seen…" She said as she looked around the corner. They had found an old building and Momo confirmed that that was the place they were looking for.
"Is that the hideout?" Eijiro asked. "It looks like a hideout."
"I don't know if it's the hideout, but from what I saw, the Villain stopped moving even before the phone died. I would've known if they found the phone too since it'd send me a notification if someone tried to mess with it." She turned back to them. "Remember though, just because the Villain is here doesn't mean Bakugo is too. We are here with very little information. Remember to stay focused."
Tenya nodded in agreement. "Our Pokemon aren't specialized for sneaking around like this. The moment things get too dangerous, I'm getting us out of here. I won't hesitate to call the police either."
They had managed to get closer by pretending to use the vending machine in front of the building, yet there wasn't any reaction. They had realized the lights were off as well, meaning that nobody was inside. It was strange how abandoned the building seemed. It was likely that that was their goal, but at the same time, it looked like there were no signs of life here at all.
While Izuku was coming up with a plan, two drunk men approached the group and began speaking a bit too loud. "Hey, lady!" One of the men said, referring to Momo. "Come drink with us!"
Even with the few people there, it still felt like too many to carry out their mission. They needed to find a way to get in without garnering the attention of those outside either. Izuku spotted a thin entryway in-between the fence of this building and the one beside it. They could still fit through and passing in through the back was their best option.
As they passed through, they found a single window along the side that they could reach. Still… there was another problem. "We won't be able to see anything. It's too dark." Shoto said.
"I bought these." Eijiro pulled out a pair of night-vision goggles and showed it to them. "When I thought about what else I could do, I bought these. Thought we might need one."
"Isn't that model super expensive though?" Izuku asked. Eijiro didn't answer. Instead, they came up with the idea of letting Shoto and Tenya carry Eijiro and Izuku on their shoulders respectively for them to reach the window.
It took a while to position themselves correctly with such a narrow space, but they eventually managed to get it right. Once he had gotten up, Eijiro looked through the goggles. "I don't see anything… it just looks like a dirty-" He was cut off suddenly as he gasped in shock. "Holy shit."
"What's wrong?! Did someone spot us?!"
Eijiro shakily handed the goggles to Izuku. "M-M-Midoriya… look to the back on the left. P-Please…"
Izuku took the goggles and looked where Eijiro had told him to and he was horrified at what he saw. "N-No way… Nomu!" Tanks full of Nomu. They couldn't see all of them clearly, but the defining trait of their exposed brains was clear.
As they were trying to figure out what was happening, they heard the sound of a Pokemon being released from its Pokeball. They turned their heads and saw… an Alolan Exeggutor? Not just any Exeggutor though, but Mt. Lady's Exeggutor!
It slammed its head into the building using Dragon Hammer, creating a huge hole in the wall.
The siege on the base of the Nomu is what worried Kurogiri so much. "Tomura Shigaraki… the… the Nomu aren't where they're supposed to be!"
"W-What?!"
All Might smiled and walked over to Tomura. "Shigaraki, League of Villains, you'd do best to remember what I'm going to tell you now. You did everything right except for one thing. You underestimated us. You underestimated the spirit of this young man and his Pokemon, the diligence of the investigation team and police, and our anger!"
Tsukauchi gave him the signal. The team led by Best Jeanist had taken control of the Nomu Hangar. It was over for the Villains. The Heroes had finally won.
All Might stood tall over all of them and laughed. "Your pranks went too far this time. They will end here, Tomura Shigaraki!" All the Villains, save for Tomura, cowered in fear. The sheer presence of All Might alone was enough to strike terror into the hearts of Villains and they finally understood that.
"The end, you say? You gotta be kidding…" Tomura said. "This is only the beginning. Justice, Peace, all that bullshit you always preach about. I'm gonna rip that apart, and if that means killing All Might, I'll do it. We've just gotten started, All Might. Don't be ridiculous." He turned to his butler and yelled. "Do it now, Kurogir- huh?!"
Suddenly, green powder fell on the well-dressed man and his Alakazam, instantly putting them to sleep. "That should do it for him," Edgeshot said. He had his Venomoth use Sleep Powder on them. With the help of Trevenant's bindings, it was a sure shot. "This man was our biggest obstacle."
Gran Torino walked over to them and scoffed. "Didn't I tell you earlier it was best to stay patient?" He turned to Magne and smiled. "Kanji Hikiishi." Then to Mr. Compress. "Atsuhiro Sako." Then to Spinner. "Shuichi Higuchi." Then Toga. "Himiko Toga." And finally, Twice. "Jin Bubaigawara."
He smiled and clapped his hands. "With just the help of the police, we managed to determine all of your identities. Do you understand? You have nowhere to run." He turned to Tomura and approached the man. "Finally, I want to ask you something, Shigaraki. Where is your boss?"
"This… this is ridiculous…" Something had suddenly changed in the atmosphere. Now, Tomura's presence made the Heroes feel uneasy. "Where is he?" All Might demanded. "Go away… leave me alone!"
"Shigaraki!" All Might yelled. "Tell us where he is!"
"I hate you!"
Suddenly, two Nomu teleported in beside him.
"What the hell?! Nomu?!"
More began teleporting in around the room around them. "Edgeshot! What about Alakazam!"
"They're still out! It isn't them!"
All Might turned back to Kamui and Trevenant. "Don't let them out under any circumstances!" Suddenly, a pink light began to envelop Katsuki. All Might turned around and was horrified. "Bakugo!" Lucario ran in and tried to grab him, but it was useless. Before they could do anything, he was gone. "NO!"
"Endeavor!" Kamui cried out. "We need back- what?!"
More Nomu were beginning to be teleported in down there as well. There was an insane amount and they were beginning to overwhelm them. "Charizard, Flamethrower!" The Pokemon did as told and released a stream of flames onto one of the Nomu. "Tsukauchi, expand the evacuation zone!"
The policeman stepped back as he sent out his Croagunk to strike one of the Nomu with a Poison Jab. "The investigations only told us there were two hideouts!" He grabbed onto his walkie-talkie and yelled. "Jeanist! What's happening on your end?!" No response… "Jeanist?!"
Lucario, Hawlucha, and Venomoth, along with the police, were overwhelmed by the sheer amount of Nomu appearing at once. "Toshinori!" Gran Torino ran up to All Might and stood his ground. "They shouldn't be able to teleport anywhere!" All Might said. "They're reacting too quickly!"
Just moments ago, Jeanist's team thought they had everything under control. For some reason, the Nomu were completely unresponsive so it was easy for them to arrest the creatures.
Once the smoke cleared, Eijiro and Momo climbed onto Tenya and Izuku's shoulders to check out what had happened. "Mt. Lady, Gang Orca, Tiger, and Best Jeanist?! They came here already?!"
Mt. Lady seemed particularly disgusted by the strange creatures. Despite being generally unresponsive, they did move around and made strange noises, creeping her out. "Is it okay for our job to be this easy? Maybe we should've gone with All Might." She asked.
Jeanist's Accelgor returned from scouting the perimeter and gave him the signal that the coast was clear. "Difficult doesn't always correlate with importance, newbie. Riot squad, get ready to move out. We'll take these things to Tartarus for now and figure out what to do with them later."
Tiger eventually found Ragdoll in one of the tanks, though her Pokemon were nowhere to be seen. "Ragdoll! Answer me!" She was unconscious, but she was still alive.
Tenya let out a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat from his forehead. "The Heroes were already moving before we even got here!" He said excitedly. "Okay, let's fall back! There's nothing else for us to do."
"They said All Might…" Izuku said. "I wonder if Kacchan is there…"
"If All Might is on the case, then there's nothing to worry about!" Momo said. "Come on, let's hurry." But even as they began walking, something felt… wrong. Izuku could feel it. He stopped and turned back, then they heard the footsteps of a man approaching the Heroes.
"Sorry, Tiger. She just had such an amazing Pokemon." The man said. "It was the perfect opportunity, so I took it."
"Are you with the League?" Gang Orca asked. He and Tiger instructed their Feraligatr and Incineroar to move forward and protect Ragdoll.
"I've been running out of Pokemon to use, so this was the perfect opportunity to use a powerful one."
Gang Orca reached out his hand and gripped his other Pokeball. "Stop! Don't move!"
The man took another step, and Jeanist's Accelgor instantly dashed forward and wrapped him in the cloth-like membrane that covered his body. "J-Jeanist, stop! What if he's just a civilian!" Mt. Lady tried to stop them, but Jeanist wasn't letting up.
"Think about the situation! We can't take any risks!" Jeanist said. "Don't let the Villains get anything!" However, despite the speed and power of the Number Four Hero's Pokemon, it was useless. A Dark Pokemon emerged from behind the man and used a powerful Psychic Move that managed to create a gigantic explosion that destroyed the building.
Luckily for the students, there was still a wall to hide behind… but that power… no… this man's mere presence… they were frozen in fear. The sheer terror Izuku felt made him feel like he was going to throw up.
"Tomura finally started to think for himself. I would have preferred if you didn't get in the way." The man said to the Heroes. The students could feel, no, this man-made them feel the sensation of death simply by his presence.
There was no time to even run or get awar, everything happened in an instant…
Izuku turned and saw the man's Pokemon… no, it couldn't be. There stood a dark Mewtwo with an orange crystal jutting out of his shoulder, just like the one All Might had described. This was the man that Izuku was destined to fight one day…
No, it couldn't be. This couldn't be true. This can't be him. That was… All for One…
