Warning - Sex in this chapter…

Firstly, thank you to everyone who is still following the story and for all of the reviews, alerts and favourites! You guys are the best and keep me writing.

Secondly, I haven't really wrote sex scenes before but this came to me whilst I was listening to a song (for those interested it was take my breath away from Top Gun) - I know its not the right song for the era but honestly listen to it as you read and let me know your thoughts.

I really would appreciate any feedback on the scene, good or bad, so I can look to improve or change it for any future chapters.

Enjoy…

Chapter 35

Daryl could feel the heat pulsing through his shirt and onto his back as he stepped into the kitchen. For a moment the house seemed different and then he realised that it was because Beth was not milling around the room as she usually did.

Hearing a creak above his head, Daryl looked up as if he could see into the very room above him. Realising that Beth was likely upstairs, he moved through the house before pushing their bedroom door open. Whatever he expected to see was not Beth laying completely naked on their bed, resting back on her elbows with a smile on her face and her body shimmering as if inviting him in.

"Well, don't jus' stand there Mr Dixon" she taunted.

Needing no further encouragement, Daryl shed each article of clothing from his own body as he walked towards the bed. His arousal was on full display as he knelt on the bottom of the bed before crawling up the soft sheets until he covered her body. He could feel his arms shaking as they supported his weight.

His whole body shuddered when he felt her small hand wrap around his shaft before feeling her legs shift to allow him more access. Surprise ran through him when she guided him to her already warm and wet core. Looking into her eyes he pushed in slightly and groaned at the warm tightness that invited him in.

Daryl's eyes flew open and his heart beat rapidly in his chest. He'd been having dreams like this most nights since Beth had come back. At first he didn't want to hurt her any more than she already was and then, after several weeks, he had wondered whether it would bring back memories of the days she'd spent with the Governor. But tonight, it was different! Tonight it felt so real, it still felt like he was buried inside of her.

Feeling movement between his legs he looked down and was met by the sight of Beth hovering between his legs, her hand gripping his shaft. For a moment he wondered if he was still dreaming but when he saw her head dip and felt her lips wrap around him he knew he was awake and this was really happening.

"Beth…" he rasped as he moved to stop her.

Beth ignored her name falling from his lips and continued to move her mouth up and down his length, as Michonne had instructed. She felt her heartbeat increase when she looked up and caught his eye. She could see the effect she was having on him and felt something stir inside her.

Daryl groaned at the sensation that was flowing through him. Her lips were tight around him and he found himself watching in awe as she took him so greedily. When he felt her fingers cup and massage his balls his head hung back and a throaty groan escaped him. He felt her mouth come almost to the point of pulling away completely and his hand moved to thread through her hair as if trying to keep her in place.

Beth felt herself tingling all over but when Daryl's fingers laced through her hair she felt a longing burn low in her belly. She began to move faster, taking more of him until she felt him meet resistance at the back of her throat. She caught movement next to his side where his hand gripped their bed sheet until his knuckles turned white.

"Beth…I'm gonna…I can't hold back" he gasped as if struggling for air.

She could feel him twist beneath her which only caused her to tighten her grip and move her mouth faster. She wanted this, wanted to do this for him, for them. Remembering Michonne mention teeth, Beth changed her rhythm and grazed him slightly. Immediately she was met with a buck of his hips, which encouraged her more.

God, she was going to kill him! he thought as another groan tore from his lips. Anytime he tried to release his grip from her hair his body had other ideas and instead of releasing her he would push her slightly, guiding her to take more.

Feeling him tense under her grip, she could feel the veins throbbing as the first signs of his release spilled into her mouth. She could hear him gasping her name over and over as she continued to lap up whatever he was willing to give.

When she was sure there was no more left for him to give, she pulled her mouth back and licked the tip clean before raising to meet his gaze.

Daryl lent back on his elbows as his chest heaved with exhilaration. He could hear his blood pounding in his ears and felt for sure that his heart would explode from how fast it was beating. When he finally brought his head up from where it hung backwards on his shoulders, he could see that the confidence she'd had was now waning as she bit her lip.

"Was it…I mean did y'…was it okay?" she stuttered.

How could she not know how amazing she is! Realising that words wouldn't be enough, Daryl sat up and reached for Beth before pulling her to straddle him.

Looking at her, he noticed he could see himself reflected in her eyes under the moonlight and for a moment it was if he was looking at himself the way she saw him. Reaching up he brushed a lock of hair behind her ear and watched as she blushed under his touch.

Allowing his hand to skim across her skin he realised what he had been denying them all this time. Instead of speaking with one another he had just assumed she wasn't ready and she had just assumed he didn't see her the same way as he once did.

Knowing he needed to show her how he felt, Daryl reached over his shoulders and gripped the thin vest he slept in before pulling it up and over his head. The material fell from his fingers before pooling on the ground next to the bed. He felt Beth's fingers reach for his skin before his own hands could return to her.

Eyes on hers, Daryl slowly undone each button of his shirt that graced Beth's body before slipping his fingers under the material near her shoulders. For a moment he allowed his thumbs to gently caress the soft skin he found before he slipped the shirt from her body.

Beth's hair fluttered over her shoulders, the length almost covering her breasts but leaving her pink hard nipples peeking through the strands at the end.

Moving his hands, from where they caressed her shoulders, to the smooth skin of her throat; he felt her arch slightly before grinding against him, a simple gasp escaping her lips at the movement. He could feel himself growing hard beneath her body before she aligned him at her entrance.

His hand slipped from her throat to the back of her neck where he guided her backwards slightly; her hair falling off her shoulders to swing behind her. Her back created a small curve as her breasts pushed forward along with the slight swell of her belly. His other hand began to move down her chest and through the gap in her breasts before circling back round to take one in his hand. Running his calloused fingers over her hardened nipple, she cried out when he gave it a gentle squeeze; rolling it through his fingertips.

Bringing her body back up to greet him he kissed her gently. She met his mouth with the same gentleness he offered; their mouths finding a perfect rhythm as if dancing in precision.

His hand continued to knead her breast when he felt her own fingers move from his shoulders to his hair; where she tugged slightly causing him to push up and grind into her.

"I need you" she whimpered under his touch.

Reaching down, he felt Beth rise slightly to allow him access, he aligned himself with her once more "You've always got me Beth" he whispered before he began to push into her warm wetness. Beth could feel herself folding around him, enveloping him into her warm cocoon. When she felt that he filled her completely she waited for a moment, allowing herself to adjust to his fullness.

Daryl's hand drifted to her hips but before he offered any direction, he felt her begin to move above him. His heart beat with every thrust and their bodies became slick with sweat as Beth rode him as if riding a horse.

He wanted to give her this control and he knew she needed it. Fingers digging in slightly he felt Beth increase her pace as her lips found his neck. He felt her walls begin to tighten around him as he felt his own release bubbling to the surface.

"Daryl" she cried out, as she bit down on the sensitive skin at his throat. It was enough to send them both over the edge as they found their release in one another.

They laid in other another arms, their bodies slick with sweat, as their heartbeats raced in conjunction with one another. Neither knew what to say so both just enjoyed the silence as their gazes settled on the ceiling.

It a few moments later that Daryl wondered where on earth Beth had learnt such a thing with her mouth, not that he was complaining, but he was curious. Turning slightly he raised himself up on one elbow as he loomed above her.

She looked at him curiously as his eyes traced her face, "that thing ya did…with your mouth" he gulped remembering the pleasure he had felt, "how did ya know about somethin' like that?"

Beth blushed and giggled before saying two words, "girls night"

Daryl smiled at his wife, well thank god for girls night he thought, before speaking, "anytime you wanna have them girls over y' jus' let me know"

At Daryl's words, Beth laughed loudly and as her body moved Daryl could feel himself stirring again. He didn't think he would be ready so soon after already finding his release twice, but then again they had a few months to make up for.

Grinning, he bent to kiss her lips before pulling himself more fully over her body. Her eyes widened as she felt his arousal between her legs "all ready?" she questioned but all thoughts left her head as her husband bent to claim her mouth before pulling back, "for you, I'm always ready" he professed before they fell back into each others body until morning light.

Everyone had agreed the night before to meet at Maggie and Glenn's general store for breakfast. So after a slightly, unusual late start Beth and Daryl rode into town. Daryl made the decision for him to drive their own wagon and for Beth to follow in Merle's so that they could deliver it at the same time.

Walking into the general store they could see that everyone was already milling around and taking seats at the small tables that Maggie had filled with breakfast pastries. The scent of bacon permeated the air from where Glenn was cooking in the back room.

Merle walked over and slapped his brother on the back as Glenn brought out a large tray heaving with bacon and sausages. As he laid them on the counter top Rick walked in with Carl at his side, Michonne behind them with a gurgling Judith in her arms.

Beth took a seat at a table next to Carol and her sister who were busy chattering about their night, a knowing grin on each of their faces. "So?" Maggie questioned with a wry grin on her face as Beth slipped into her chair.

"So.." Beth repeated. She knew what the question implied.

Carol raised her eyebrow in question and Beth chuckled at the two women who were waiting for her to answer. Instead Beth looked towards where Daryl stood with Merle, Glenn and Rick at the door before returning her gaze to the two women as she blushed.

"Ladies don't kiss and tell" she informed them and watched as their faces dropped from the lack of information.

Smiling, she lent forward, noticing Maggie and Carol doing the same thing, "so it's a good thing' I'm not a lady" Beth gushed causing all of them to burst out laughing before she filled them in.

At the sound of laughter, the men turned to their women and noticed they were sat huddled together deep in conversation. Beth blushed whilst Maggie shook her head at Carol who was talking whilst waving her arms around. Glenn, Daryl and Merle started to grin to themselves as thoughts of the previous night assaulted their minds.

Rick cleared his throat next to the three men that had not heard a word he'd said and watched as they each turned to face him with a shit eating grin on their faces. Frowning at them he watched as they looked at one another before frowning themselves.

"I know why I'm grinnin' like a damn fool, but what's got you smilin' so bad boy?" Merle boomed as he looked at Glenn.

Glenn's face dropped at the question directed at him but as he looked at Maggie he couldn't help the goofy grin that took over him again. Merle followed his gaze and proudly slapped the man on the back before laughing a throaty chuckle. An understanding dawning on them both as they turned as one to face Daryl, a questioning look on both their faces.

"What?" Daryl snapped before he too caught sight of Beth over their shoulders. He shuddered slightly as she popped some pastry into her sweet mouth and visions assaulted him of what she had been doing with that very mouth a few hours ago.

He was vaguely aware of his brother and Glenn offering a knowing "mmhmm" in his direction, but paid them no attention.

Rick had been watching his friends in confusion. He didn't think he had seen so many men so happy, especially after a night drinking moonshine; he had got up with a sore head this morning but it looked like everyone else was just fine. Brows drawing together in confusion he looked at his friends before asking, "did I miss somethin'?"

Each man looked at him as if seemingly forgetting he was there but none of them spoke. They did however all look to the woman at his side that wore a smug, knowing grin on her face.

Rick turned his gaze to Michonne as Merle offered her a wide toothy grin, Glenn a dopey look of gratitude and Daryl a curt nod of recognition.

"Daryl?" Beth called breaking their thoughts "y' need to eat" she held up a plate in offering that she had laden with food.

"You too Glenn" Maggie chimed as Carol waved Merle over.

Each man took their leave as well as Carl, who went to sit with Lizzie and her sister. Rick stood shocked and bewildered at the whole scene and jumped slightly when he felt Michonne place a hand on his arm.

"You know somethin' about all this, don't you?" he questioned.

Michonne's face lit up with a wide smile as she offered a simple nod in reply. Sighing Rick shook his head at the whole thing before moving to join his family for breakfast.

When breakfast was finished each of them stepped out into the sun that was starting to shine through a break in the clouds.

"Daryl? Glenn?" Rick questioned "would ya mind poppin' over when y' can, I need t' speak with y' on somethin'".

Both Glenn and Daryl looked at one another and nodded before following Rick over to the sheriff station.

"Everythin' alright?" Daryl questioned as they stepped through the door.

Rick nodded and gestured for both men to take a seat as he stepped round the desk to sit in his own chair. Moving some paperwork he picked up the piece he needed before looking back to the two men.

"Got a letter from the Marshal" Rick looked at the two men as he continued, "said Hershel's body can be released, but you'll have t' go on down to Hilltop to collect it. They won't release it without a family member bein' present"

Daryl moved to interrupt at the same time Glenn sat forward. Neither man wanted their wives to go to Hilltop.

Rick held up his hand as if asking them to wait, "The Marshal has added a certificate confirmin' the release and seems here" he explained pointing to the letter at a specific spot, "that as long as y' show your marriage certificates you two can claim the body"

Daryl sat back and chewed on his thumb nail as Glenn blew out a breath.

"Do we both need to go?" Glenn quizzed, his thoughts turning to his family and store. Daryl nodded as if agreeing with Glenn's question.

Rick sighed, "I'm afraid it's probably best if you both went. It's gonna be tough goin' to bring his body back alone. The journey will likely take a week or more there and back."

"What about the train?" Glenn asked.

"Some lines will allow coffins on board but I've checked and the closest to Westray is Colton"

Daryl swore. Colton was even further away than Hilltop. Rick could sense the unease from both men about leaving their families behind. "Daryl" he started, "Merle is happy to work the farm right?" Daryl nodded, "so couldn't Beth move in with Maggie and Hershel until you get back? That way Beth can help Maggie with the store and neither are left alone"

Glenn looked at Daryl, a silent agreement being formed between them. Each man could see in the other the desire to bring Hershel Greene back to his daughters. Daryl sat forward and rested his forearms on his knees as Glenn lent back in his chair.

"We can leave in the mornin'" Daryl offered and Glenn nodded in agreement before adding, "sooner we leave, sooner we can get back".

Rick nodded at both of his friends before running a tired hand over his face. A groaning from the cells had him pausing to look in the other direction over Glenn and Daryl's shoulders.

Glenn and Daryl turned to the noise at the same time Rick's gaze fixated on Shane, who was pulling himself into a sitting position from one of the cots in the cell.

"Damn" he offered to the group as he ran a hand over his head "what a night"

Each man agreed before turning back to finish their conversation. However they all halted when a second groaning came from behind them followed by a women's voice, "shit, my head is killing me"

Rick, Daryl and Glenn stood up and turned to face the open cell, their mouths dropping open as blonde hair sat up behind Shane's shoulder.

"Andrea?" Rick questioned, a grin pulling at the side of his mouth. Daryl started to laugh but covered it with a cough when Shane's head snapped up to them as they stood looking in.

Glenn stood smiling wide, looking backwards and forwards between the men stood next to him and the couple in the cell.

"Rick?" Andrea squeaked before her head fell against Shane's back in mortification.

Rick cleared his throat, "We'll give y'all some privacy why you get dressed". As he turned he couldn't help but chuckle at the same time as Daryl and Glenn before they turned to leave the office to wait outside.

A few minutes passed before Andrea and Shane emerged from the Sheriff's office to the waiting audience of their family and friends. Andrea flushed from head to toe, her gaze falling to the floor at being caught. She felt Shane's fingers thread with her own and she looked to his face and caught the briefest of nods to confirm he was with her on this; all the way.

"So, you two together or what?" Daryl yelled from where he stood against his wagon with Beth in his arms. Beth slapped his hand playfully to stop him embarrassing Andrea further than she already was.

Sasha and Bob exited the clinic at the same time and everyone's gaze swung on them, taking the spotlight from Shane and Andrea.

The men looked at Bob expectantly whilst their partners looked at them with confusion, "well?" Merle boomed, "what'd she say?"

Sasha blushed as she looked at Bob next to her. Had he told the guys he was going to propose? she wondered. Bob was stood smiling and lifted their entwined fingers to show their group of friends. The women gasped as the sunlight glinted off the shiny ring that now adorned Sasha's wedding finger, "She said yes" Bob hooted.

A chorus of cheers erupted from the group and Tyreese, who had been looming in the background, stepped forward to envelope his sister in a fierce hug, "I'm so proud of you" he whispered in her ear before stepping back to allow the women to sweep her up in words of congratulations.

Standing on the edge of the group, Tyreese felt lonely. As he looked around he couldn't help but feel a slight stab of jealousy as he took in the couples that surrounded him. It was as if, from the moment Daryl had married Beth things in their town had changed. It wasn't a bad thing, in fact he was pleased that they were being gifted with so much happiness but it didn't make him feel any better.

Looking around he spotted Rick stood on the outskirts as well and wondered if the man was feeling the same, especially since he had lost his wife at the same time he'd gained a baby daughter. But as the thought came to him, he noticed a strange look pass between Rick and the newcomer Michonne and he wondered if there was more to their new friendship than they let on.

Letting out a sigh, Tyreese felt more alone than ever.
