Meanwhile, as Lillie got Clefable back to normal, Ash and Serena followed Lusamine with Solgaleo.
"Stay away!" Lusamine shouted and threw sharp rocks at them. However, Solgaleo repulsed them easily and Ash exclaimed, "Let's move on!"
However, Lusamine did not like this. "I said, STAY AWAY!" she shouted and then, with her tentacles, formed a peculiar move that set off in a wavy motion in the air.
"What is that?" Serena said in amazement and Ash said, "I don't know, I've never seen anything like it." As he spoke, the waving stopped and Lusamine landed on an island.
Solgaleo also landed a short distance away and then Lusamine touched the ground with one of her tentacle tips. As a result of the contact, a large amount of purple liquid was released from the land, which spread around the islands into a peculiar sea.
Ash and Serena jumped off Solgaleo's back and Pikachu curiously went to the purple liquid and sniffed it.
His next look pretty much said what the liquid smelled like. Pikachu quickly backed away from the liquid and looked nauseous.
"How bad does it smell?" Serena said in amazement and walked slowly to the liquid. Sylveon and Braixen looked anxiously away from the distance and Serena touched the liquid with the tip of her shoe.
As soon as the tip touched the liquid, it began to smoke and the shoe material melted away. Serena quickly pulled her shoe off and felt a burning sensation on her toes.
"Corrosive," she said, trying not to breathe too much through her nose. The liquid smelled of death. "Falling into that would know death"
"Yeah, and a painful kind of it," Ash said and on the opposite shore Lusamine's mouth twisted into a vicious smile. "How do we get over that?"

Meanwhile, as Ash and Serena with their Pokemon wondered how to cross the liquid sea, the others had their own battles going on.
With the help of Silvally, Gladion defeated Absol and Lana, Sophocles and Mallow co-defeated Mismagius, Milotic and Lilligant.
They already had time to rejoice in it, until suddenly, the defeated Pokemon rose up with their eyes gleaming red and it looked as if nothing had ever hit them.
"How is that possible?" Sophocles asked in fear and Mallow whined, "I don't know, but it doesn't look very good"
Elsewhere, Gladion was also amazed that Absol rose up invulnerably looking up and realized. Right, he thought. As long as that beast is in power, so are these Pokemon.
Then he jumped on Silvally's back and said, "Lycanroc, Umbreon, take you care of Absol. I'll go to my mother." Then he exclaimed, "Let's go, Silvally!" and Silvally rushed away with him.

As Gladion left with Silvally, Ash and Serena wondered how to cross the spreading, corrosive sea in front of them.
"She doesn't want us to move on," Serena said and Ash shouted, "Listen, Lusamine! Lillie and Gladion are coming and then this madness will end!"
"I don't want it to end!" Lusamine shouted angrily. "I hate you! I hate you all! I really hate you!"
Her shout make the surface of the liquid rise dangerously and Ash barely had time to grab Pikachu in his arms and jump with Serena farther as the liquid swept to the shore.
"It was close," he said when Solgaleo suddenly grabbed the collar of his shirt with its mouth and waved his on its back. It then did the same for Serena and Serena just had time to summon her Pokemon back to their balls as Solgaleo roared and set off to run over the liquid.
It didn't affect the big steel lion in any way, and the angry Lusamine shouted again, "Stay away!" and fired something like light balls from her tentacles. However, Solgaleo dodged them easily and instantly arrived at the opposite shore where the angry Lusamine was.
Solgaleo roared and Ash and Serena jumped off its back. "Pikachu, let's go!" Ash exclaimed and Serena also threw two of her Pokeballs in the air and exclaimed, "Sylveon, Braixen, you too!"
Eeveelution and a fox-like Pokemon appeared in front of her and let out a cry. Lusamine laughed and shouted, "You fools! Do you really think you're making me surrender!? It never happens!"
She fired poison balls from her tentacles again and one of them hit between Ash and Serena. It made them scatter and Lusamine laughed.
Serena circled around and Ash exclaimed, "Distract her!" Serena nodded and instructed her Pokemon: "Sylveon, use Fairy Wind! Braixen, Flamethrower!"
The Pokemon did as instructed and in the meantime, Ash set off to run next to Pikachu towards Lusamine and saw Serena's Pokemon moves move towards Lusamine.
They struck Lusamine at the same time, but they hardly affected her in any way. Instead, Lusamine just got angrier and turned her angry gaze to Serena.
With one of her tentacles, she swept Serena's Pokemon out of her way and they hit a nearby rock, pounding disgustingly. "No!" Serena cried out and rushed towards her Pokemon and Lusamine was ready to sweep her out of her way as well.
"You're not doing it!" Ash exclaimed and threw his last Pokeball into the air. "Greninja, Water Shuriken, now!"
Greninja appeared in front of him and threw Shuriken towards Lusamine.
It hit her and made her turn towards Ash. "Pikachu, Electro Ball! Greninja, Water Shuriken, again!"
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed and threw a yellow electric ball at Lusamine. However, this easily dodged it and at the same time swept the Water Shurikens of Greninja out of its way with one of her tentacles.
"I said you can't beat me!" she shouted and Ash clenched his fists. "Fine," he muttered and then set off to run toward Lusamine.
However, Lusamine just waved lazily one of her tentacles and swept Ash out of her way. As a result, Ash flew a short distance and hit the ground on his side.
"Ash! No!" Serena exclaimed when she saw this and returned the bent Sylveon and Braixen back to their ball. She then set off to run towards Ash while throwing another Pokeball into the air at the same time.
"Altaria, help us!" she exclaimed and a blue, bird-like Pokemon appeared. It let out a loud cry and Serena instructed, "Use Dragon Breath!"
Altaria obeyed and meanwhile Serena slid to Ash. "Are you okay?" she asked worried and Ash nodded.
"Yeah," he said and got up. He saw how Altaria got hit Lusamine and Lusamine was going to shoot towards it. Ash remembered how they had found Altaria and decided it would no longer experience anything shot at it.
"Pikachu, Electro Ball!" he exclaimed and Pikachu nodded and made an electronic ball again and threw it towards Lusamine. This time it also hit.
Lusamine looked at them angrily and then there was a familiar exclamation, and Ash and Serena saw Lillie and Gladion appear with Silvally and they were also accompanied by Clefable and Ash's Lycanroc.
"Ash! Serena! Are you okay?!" Lillie exclaimed and Serena nodded and shouted back, "Yeah, we are!"
Lusamine noticed them too and exclaimed, "I hate you!" She fired lightballs at them again, but now Solgaleo settled defensively in front of them and stopped the ammunition.
"Listen, Ketchum! If we don't beat the Ultra Beast, mother's Pokemon will never give up!" Gladion exclaimed and Ash looked amazed.
"No way!" Ash exclaimed and upon hearing Gladion's exclamation, Solgaleo turned and set off to run away. Ash realized what it was going to do and exclaimed to her, "Go, Solgaleo! Go and help them. And Lycanroc, go with Solgaleo!"
Lycanroc barked in agreement and jumped on Solgaleo's back. Then Solgaleo left to run away from them and Lillie said quietly, "Mom, I'm coming."
She stepped slowly to the shore of the poison sea and Ash exclaimed, "Don't touch it! It's corrosive!"
"Don't worry, Ash! Clefable will take me there," Lillie said confidently and climbed with Snowy into Clefable's lap. Clefable then set out to jump through the sea of poison and Ash and Serena looked eyes round when the poison did not affect Clefable in any way.
"Unbelievable!" Ash gasped and Pikachu also said in disbelief, "Pika!"
"How is that possible?" Serena asked in wonder and Lillie smiled.
"It's Magic Guard, Clefable's special ability," Lillie explained happily. "Poison doesn't affect in it any way!"
Gladion followed her by changing Silvally to Steel-type and eventually they had both gotten to Ash and Serena safely.

"Stay away from me!" Lusamine shouted as Lillie climbed toward her. "Never!" Lillie shouted back and continued her determination climb.
Lusamine had parked herself on a high pile of stones and Lillie had decided to climb up to her at any cost. However, Lusamine did not like the idea and now shouted angrily to Lillie and the others.
Lillie reached the top of the pile and now faced her mother face to face. She panted for climbing and there were dirt stains on her clothes and face and she was very irritated.
"You know what, mom?" Lillie said irritably. "I hate you!"
Lusamine was confused and Lillie continued, "Yeah, I hate you! And guess why!? You treat me like a baby, even though YOU are this baby here! An immature and selfish brat who can't behave!"
Speaking, Lillie felt all her frustration run off. Her mother listened quietly and at the same time Lillie approached her slowly. "And that's why that monster has taken control of you!"
She stopped and now stared straight into her mother's hazy eyes. "And guess what! When you act like that, you're not really my mother!"
Lusamine said nothing, so Lillie continued, "Guess what my mother is like. She's a strong, capable woman. She loves her children, even if she doesn't always show it..."
Lusamine moved and Lillie continued, "But you. You're not strong. You're weak. A weak puppet that lets the Ultra beast control itself. That's you, and nothing else. You can't even move."
Lillie looked at the ground with her head pressed down and stepped a step forward. She looked up at her mother's motionless and stopped figure and raised her hand toward her.
"Mom, come out!" she said demandingly and looked at Lusamine, begging. "If you're really my mother, you can come out of there on your own. So, come out or you're not my mother!"
Lillie's last sentence made Lusamine's hazy yellow eyes turn green and she held out her hand towards Lillie.
"Lillie?" she said quietly and Lillie gasped and tears flooded her eyes. "Mom!" she breathed and downstairs Ash, Serena and Gladion gasped too.
But then dark tentacles appeared around her outstretched arm and her face was covered in something reminiscent of her darkened hair. "Mom! No!" Lillie exclaimed in horror as the Ultra beast took over Lusamine again.
Then its bell-shaped head grew larger and Lusamine's upper body was now completely covered. "It grew bigger!" Serena exclaimed and Gladion muttered, "Incredible"
The Ultra beast then hit the ground with one of its tentacles and it made the rubble move around it so that it was almost completely covered. "She's completely covered!" Ash exclaimed and Gladion said, "Ultra beast doesn't want to let mom out"
"Why not?" Serena asked and Gladion said, gritting his teeth, "Because the mother has wanted to learn everything about the Ultra beasts, it now wants to learn everything about the mother."
"Oh," Serena said, and then the Ultra beast moved one of its tentacles and knife-sharp stones began to rain on them.
They tried to protect themselves with their hands, but the stones still scratched their skin. Then, rocky, prickly protrusions protruded from the rock pile formed by the Ultra beast and formed a cage-like perimeter around the rock pile.
"What we do? We need to save mom," Lillie said desperately and Gladion got the idea.
"I knew. Serena and I distract it. In the meantime, Ash does a Z-move and Lillie saves mom, okay?"
"Okay, let's do it!" Ash said and Serena nodded. "I'll do whatever it takes for mom to be saved," Lillie said resolutely and then they started implementing Gladion's plan.

The ultra beast did rock rain again, but now Gladion exclaimed, "Silvally, use Air Slash!"
Silvally formed shimmering blades with his head and threw them towards the stones of the Ultra beast. They hit rocks and caused an explosion in the air.
However, the Ultra beast did not give up, but did the same trick again. Now it was Serena's turn to shout, "Altaria, Dragon Breath!" and Altaria did as instructed.
"Ash, now!" Serena exclaimed and Ash nodded resolutely. "Right. Pikachu, let's do this!" he exclaimed and Pikachu nodded and said, "Pika!"
That's when Ash's Z-crystal began to shine brightly and Ash looked at it in great amazement. His electrium Z changed in front of his eyes and it caused an airflow that pulled his cap off his head. Pikachu jumped to catch it and then the glow disappeared and Ash's Z-crystal had changed and now resembled Pikachu's tail.
"Wow. A new Z-crystal?!" Ash said in amazement and Pikachu looked at his trainer confused from the ground with Ash's cap on his lap. "Ash! Make that move already!" Gladion shouted impatiently and Ash grinned and nodded.
He crossed his arms and a golden symbol flashed in front of him. "Ready, Pikachu?" he asked and Pikachu pressed Ash's cap on his head and said, "Pika!"
Ash and Pikachu settled into positions and made the necessary movements for the Z-move. A bright electric-like current appeared between them, and in front of Pikachu a golden symbol flashed again.
"This is going to be a lot much stronger than Thunderbolt. 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt!" Ash exclaimed. "Much, much, MUCH stronger!"
"Pika pika," Pikachu said and then Ash exclaimed, "Pikachu, 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt! NOW!"
Pikachu jumped into the air and gathered a huge charge of electricity around him. It then released it as rainbow-colored ammunition towards the Ultra beast and the hit caused a huge explosion.
As they watched it, Ash's Z-crystal returned to normal again. The Ultra beast, on the other hand, fell to the ground and Lillie and Gladion rushed to it to save their mother.
"Mom?" Lillie asked and then a hand appeared from inside the squishy body of the Ultra beast. It aired and Lillie exclaimed, "Mom!" and grabbed her hand.
With the help of Gladion, she was able to pull up her mother. The Ultra beast that Lusamine had abducted hovered away and left Lusamine to lie down to the ground.
"Mom! Mom, wake up!" Lillie shouted desperately and then, to her immense relief, Lusamine slowly opened her eyes. Ash and Serena also looked relieved and Gladion also smiled a little.
Elsewhere, the Pokemon dominated by the Ultra beast returned to normal and looked very confused.
"Can you stand?" Gladion asked his mother as he and Lillie helped Lusamine stand up. Lusamine looked very tired and she nodded a little.
"Yeah," she said quietly and looked at her children. She rubbed her head and said, "It's like I saw some sort of nightmare."
Then she looked tenderly at Lillie and said, "But then your voice still reached me, Lillie."
Lillie burst into tears and hugged her mother tightly. Lusamine smiled at her and said, "Thank you, Lillie. And Gladion too. Without you, I wouldn't have been saved."
She pulled both of her children into a tight hug and Ash and Serena watched the small family a short distance away.
"I am glad that in the end it all ended well," Serena said with a smile and slipped her hand to Ash's hand. Ash nodded.
"Yeah. I'm too," he said, gently squeezing Serena's hand. "I guess it's time to go home"
Just when he had said that, behind them was a familiar voice saying, "Hey! Ash!"
They turned, and saw Kiawe waving his hand from the back of Solgaleo and shouting their name. Mallow, Sophocles and Lana sat there too and their and the Lusamine's Pokemon had gathered around Solgaleo.
"You did it!" Mallow shouted happily and Ash grinned and shouted back, "Yeah, we did!" He smiled broadly and Lusamine smiled gratefully to her rescuers.
Meanwhile, at the Altar of the Sunne:
Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet looked up at the sky and waited. They had set up special devices to measure Ultra energy and Burnet had fired a mark in the sky at the point where the Ultra wormhole was supposed to appear.
Suddenly the gauges on the devices began to sway and Burnet said, "An Ultra wormhole is formed."
"So are they coming?" Kukui asked and Burnet nodded. "I'll maintain an Ultra wormhole so they can get back," she said, tapping something on her device.
Suddenly a hole opened in the sky again and Solgaleo appeared inside it. On its back were Ash and his companions and then Solgaleo landed in front of the professors on the ground.
"Hey professors! We're back!" Ash announced with a grin and Solgaleo bent its legs to get the passengers off its back.
Gladion jumped down from its back and with the help of Lillie, he helped Lusamine down. "You're save!" Burnet breathed a sigh of relief as she saw Lusamine and this one smiled.
"Yeah. They saved me," she said, looking at Ash and the companions.
"Yeah! And it's because we're the best team ever!" Ash exclaimed energetically and Serena giggled. "Pika pika!" Pikachu also admitted and everyone laughed happily at this.
As they rejoiced at the reunion, the Ultra wormhole in the sky closed and disappeared. "It was then the end of that adventure," Serena said and everyone nodded and finally headed home.
