Amy is having a meal with Sheldon and Mary when her mother-in-law opened a new topic. The two visited Mary, as she was missing her Shelly. She, of course, successfully made Sheldon go on to this trip despite his protest that they can just converse on the phone.
Paige is back in town, she tells them, though particularly to Sheldon.
Who's she? Amy frowns when Mary introduced Sheldon's childhood friend, Paige, to her. She never knew Sheldon has a friend with same brilliance as he. He did scoff and look down on the majority of the town people's intelligence whenever he'd share stories of his childhood life here.
Amy's not surprised she did not knew of Paige. She never even heard of his childhood bestfriend, Tam, and they're married!
She continued her meal while Mary went on how Paige 'threw her life away' after her parents got divorced. She's now doing odd jobs, can't keep a job long enough before transferring to other city/state.
Sheldon later told her he initially sees her as a rival and that he did not heard much from Paige since their last encounter when she gave him a black eye. He continued how Paige is just as smart as him, maybe even more smarter and they both could at least relate to each other's difficulties being a child prodigy from a small town on Texas.
Amy would like to learn more and meet this Paige person.
A/N: I predict Paige will continue to rebel and eventually would want to live 'normally' and she eventually will lead a life Sheldon could not comprehend that's why we've never heard of her on TBBT? I really like Paige's character. She's a genius just as Sheldon's, but still bonds greatly with Missy. She understands she's still a child in need of emotional maturity. Then, the divorce happened and she faults herself. I would like to see more of her on YS and interact with the Coopers or just a voiceover from old Sheldon on how Paige is now? If found a story with similar plot or based a story from this prompt— I'm shamyshenanigan on IG! I'd love to read the story.
