My ears almost exploded when I investigated the active Wailing Stone that the Crystal Gems had. This ancient artifact was meant to act as a communication device, like a Gem-version of a big, stone radio. Since Homeworld has found new methods of communicating and someone was using a signal to reach the Crystal Gems that was too advanced for the Wailing Stone they had. But with the help of Steven's dad, they converted the message through the Wailing Stone into video. The message turned out to be their friend, Lapis Lazuli warning them that Peridot was returning to Earth with backup. That doesn't bode well.
