"You had better hope you are not faking this because I will make sure they charge you with more charges." Monica threatened as they waited for the doctor in the Emergency Room. "Do you hear me, Kaidyn?" She grabbed her arm, digging her nails in her arm as hard as she could.

"That hurts." Kaidyn squinted at the lights, feeling a little dizzy as she looked at Monica's eyes. "Why do I have to be cuffed to this bed?" She twisted, crying.

"STOP." Monica rolled her eyes. "You are one of the many reasons I'll never have kids." She complained, examining her nails, annoyed like.

"Monica, chill out and let me calm her down." Brian said, looking past the curtain, relieved he had found them. He had been checking each area, looking for them. "You can go wait out there." He said, knowing she probably would not do that.

"No, I can't leave her." She said. "Nice try, O'Connor. Don't forget I know how you are." she shook her head.

"Oh come on you went undercover and did all those things and yet you can't leave a kid who's sick and chained to a bed, are you serious right now?" He asked, his eyes flashing in anger.

"I can't trust you since you wanted to play cops and turned out to be the one on the wrong side, now can I?" She asked, annoyed.

"Brian?" Kaidyn asked, trying to sit up.

"What's up girl. You are quite the sight." He shook his head, hoping to distract her from their conversation. Her petite frame was in an orange prison jumpsuit and with her two black eyes and handcuffed to the bed, she looked a mess. He knew it might make her cry more but that was what he was going for. Anything to keep her from going back to the police station.

"Why are you here, Brian?" Monica asked, her arms folded.

"Why are you here?" he asked, holding her gaze.

"I am gonna get Carter one way or another." Monica said, louder than she had been, as if she was trying to upset Kaidyn. "Or he's gonna get to her and then I'll get to him when he goes for her." Monica said, her eyes locking with Kaidyn's. Kaidyn being chained up to a bed, already on edge looked at Monica, her face draining of color. She began to shake her head, fighting a flashback. She began to shake the chains, rattling on the silver bars of the bed.

"Shit." Brian, reached for the call light. She was starting to sweat profusely and her breathing became shallow from her holding her breath, then she would gasp for breath. "Kaidyn, come on, it's okay." he gently shook her. "Come on, take some deep breaths." He coaxed, trying to get her to look at him.

"Let me go!" She screamed, no longer realizing where she was.

"Go get me Hector or Dom or someone out there! Quick and a doctor!" He yelled at Monica. She hesitated, not sure if she should leave them alone. "GO! This is your fault." He pointed to the waiting area.

"Hey Rapunzel! Come on, I am here." Hector rushed in, putting his arms around her. She could only cry, and shake. She couldn't get out any words.

"She's faking that for the doctor. I mentioned Carter earlier and she ignored me. Let's not try to act like she's having problems." Monica rolled her eyes, not convinced.

"Sure, she's faking that." Brian rolled his eyes. "Don't ever have kids because clearly you don't have a fucking clue. She's had a brain injury and she's been through a lot. Did you not read her file?" He glared. "Of course not, it's coming from the agent who almost got us all killed." He frowned, clearly disgusted with her. "PTSD, you know the stuff you learn in training? Flight or fight? Nevermind, you clearly don't get it. It's cops like you are why I gave it up." He said, walking away, leaving Monica stunned.

"Where's Shay?" Kaidyn tried to talk, almost stuttering.

"On her way with Leon." Hector promised, smoothing her hair and kissing the top of her head as he rocked her. "Dr. Jefferson!" Hector smiled, happy at the luck of getting his friend.

"I am going to order her some pain meds and something to keep her calm. I want these cuffs off." he looked at Monica.

"NO can do. I can take her back to the station if you have to have those removed." She said firmly, crossing her arms. She watched the doctor write in the chart and the nurse take notes from the meds he was ordering.

"I don't want meds. I want Shay." She looked at Hector, the meds already pushed in the IV.

"Shhh. I know. Just try to rest for me. You are not going anywhere and this is all gonna be sorted out by morning. Ok?" he asked, pulling out his cell. "Dom wants to see you, can he come be with you while I go talk to your sis?" He asked, Her eyes were already rolling back in her head as she was falling asleep. He went to move his arm and she was staring at him.

"Where you going?" She asked, blinking several times to try to keep her eyes open. He had to grin at how hard she was fighting it.

"How does she know Brian? Is he a cop? He might be a cop." She said, almost sleeping in between words. Brian looked shocked at her accusation.

"No, he's not like them, at all. He's a good guy unlike someone in this room..." Hector assured her, giving Monica a look of disdain. "It's the meds, Bri." He promised.

"I want my hands to move again. I can't move them." Kaidyn shook her head, jerking awake. She started to cry but fell asleep again. Her eyes popped open with panic and she struggled to move again.

"Hey Kaidyn. I'm here, take some deep breaths for me. Why don't you try to rest?" Dominic came in and traded Hector places.

"Dom!" She said, happy to see him, her eyes closed. "I am a fugitive now." She sighed, snuggling in his arm and burying her head in his chest, crying. He patted her head then rubbed her back.

"It's okay, you are one of us, baby." he soothed her. He knew she wouldn't be able to fight the meds much longer. "You fit in perfectly with us, kid." He held her as she cried quietly. He rocked her, stroking her hair. She looked up at him, wide eyed.

"I am a criminal. I don't want to go to jail again." She said, her words a whisper.

"You're not and it's okay." Dominic promised, hoping she'd stop fighting the medication. She passed back out much to his relief.

"What the hell are you doing here, Monica?" Shayde walked in, looking at Monica, who was clearly threatened by Shayde and her bandaged hands.

"I am a federal agent. There are cameras around." She said, looking a bit nervous as Shayde walked past her.

"And who cares?" Shayde walked up behind her, whispering. "When this is all over in the morning, you better hope you are long gone. Because when I get my day with you, you will learn what pain really is." Shayde walked around her, stopping to stare her in the face. "I promise you that you messed with the wrong family." She promised, staring her down. "Your days are numbered." She whispered with a hiss, her eyes narrowed.

"Threatening a federal agent can get you time." She warned, shaking her shoulder, looking bothered.

"So you don't say. Try me. Please. I do want you to try me." Shayde nodded, with a very controlled low voice. "It could be so fun...for me." she laughed, not even blinking. "I'll see you very soon." She said, walking past her and over to her sister. "How's my girl?" Shayde asked, her arms folded to keep her hands from going for Monica's neck.

"She's out." Dominic said, not moving to get up from the bed. Meds or not, he knew Kaidyn would likely wake up and once she was woken up from sleep, she was usually up for a bit.

"I will be right outside, don't get any bright ideas." Monica said, excusing herself from the room. She couldn't stand to keep getting the glares from the group.

"I only have one idea in my head, don't worry." Shayde growled. "Brian, thank you. I don't know how you did it, but thank you." Shayde gave him a grateful smile, not in the mood to question anything. She was just glad Kaidyn was here.

"She's okay." he leaned in and whispered. "I had to work her up to get her upset and I knew once she got going, she would be able to get out of there." He leaned over and grinned, almost apologetically.

"Thanks for coming in clutch, Holmes." Hector walked in, patting Brian on the shoulder.

"No prob man." Brian nodded. "She was annoying them so bad that they made Monica call me. Pretty funny." He laughed.

"That's not shocking." Shayde had to laugh too. "We always joke if she gets kidnapped they'd throw her back." She laughed.

"We are moving her up to the floor." The nurse came in, letting them know as she began to mess with Kaidyn.

"She's getting admitted?" Dominic asked in relief, laying her on the bed.

"Yes, she is." The nurse began to move the bed and it made Kaidyn wake up. She tried to move her hands and couldn't. She began to fight and kick.

"Kaidyn, calm down. Kaidyn." Shayde leaned over the bed. "Hey, hey it's Shay. It's okay. Those cuffs will be removed in the morning." She promised.

"I want them off." She complained, looking at Shayde. "They hurt." She whined quietly. "Where are they taking me?" She asked, panicking.

"Upstairs to a room." Shayde said, putting her hand over Kaidyn's bed rail to walk with her, forgetting she had bandaged knuckles.

"What happened, Shay?" Her eyes got wide.

"Nothing to worry about." She promised. "This mess will be fixed by morning. It's all handled." She promised confidently. "Did they hurt you in there?" She asked, looking Kaidyn over as they got settled in. She shook her head. Shayde played with her hair.

"I thought Hector was in Florida?" She asked, looking at the clock in her room.

"You know he was on the first plane he could get on when he heard." Shayde said. "It's time to get some sleep." She said, dimming the lights in the room.

"I am scared to go to sleep." Kaidyn admitted softly.

"Everything's okay no one will hurt you. I told you Cali sucked, now do you believe me?" Shayde asked, hoping her sister would stop fighting her so much.

"I don't know. I don't feel like we are gonna be safe anywhere, Shay." Kaidyn yawned, getting sleepy again.

"We will always keep you safe." Shayde promised, covering her sister up. "Get some sleep so we can blow this popsicle stand tomorrow, okay?" She asked, making Kaidyn nod.

"Is she gone? What If she comes back for me?" Kaidyn asked, closing her eyes."She scares me, Shayde." Kaidyn admitted.

"I'll happily take her out if she does anything else. She's done enough. Her expiration date is coming." Shayde promised with clenched hands.
