Chapter 35: The Cursed Field Trip Begins

All four of them were on edge for the rest of the night. None of them got much sleep, and they couldn't even think of eating. They ended up holing themselves up in the workshop.

That's where Inko found them when she got in that morning, passed out over their work benches.

She scolded them as she forced them into the kitchen chairs as she cooked them a special breakfast and extra strong coffee. However, she settled down when they explained what happened yesterday.

"William," she said as she became completely serious.

William took control, and transformed.

"Inko," he said, equally serious.

"Protect my boys," she said firmly.

"Always," he promised, protectiveness in his eyes. "No one hurts my brats and gets away with it. Those monsters are going down. And, if the legal system won't do it...Well, Spring would like a word with them."

William chuckled evilly at that, and Spring cackled from in the mindscape. It actually took a lot for Will to give him new toys~.

"Good," Inko said, a satisfied gleam in her eyes.

And, that was that.

"Shinsou-kun, Midoriya-kun," Uraraka called as she walked up to them with Iida and Kaminari. "What happened with Aizawa-sensei yesterday?"

"Uraraka-san," Iida said shocked. "It's rude to ask that! That's between sensei and them both!"

Izuku chuckled at their antics.

"It's okay," he said. "He was just worried about how tired we were yesterday. We explained that it's because we both have severe insomnia."

"Yeah, Zuku actually needs to eat a special energy bar because of it," Hitoshi explained.

"Shouldn't you be taking something to make you sleep," Iida asked concerned.

"They don't work right," Izuku said with a shrug.

The three friends looked at each other worried.

"For today's hero training we'll be taking a field trip," Aizawa said as he walked into the classroom, taking a secret glance at his two—well four—problem children.

The students around them all burst out in excitement, but the four of them felt dread.

They were still exhausted from last night's impromptu panic, insomnia attack, and planning sessions.

"What will we be doing," Sero asked curiously.

"Rescue training," Aizawa said lazily, and the class got more exited. "Disasters, shipwrecks, and whatever's in between. Today's class will be supervised by three instructors. Allmight, me, and one other person."

The class started to whisper excitedly; curious to who else would be coming with them.

"Quiet," Aizawa snapped, and the class became quiet. "I wasn't done. You can decide wither or not you wear your costume this time. The training will also be off campus, so we'll be taking a bus."

Izuku and Hitoshi sighed as they got up to grab their costumes.

"Just our luck, right, Zuku," Hitoshi muttered.

"Yep," the green haired boy sighed back.

While they were waiting outside to get on the bus, Izuku pulled out one of their energy bars.

"I'm glad you grabbed one of those," Hitoshi said with a relieved grin. "Not that they help much..."

Izuku nodded and said, "Better than nothing."

"Amen to that," the violet eyed boy said groaning.

"Hey, are you two okay," Kirishima asked worriedly.

"Yeah," Izuku said as he took a bite of his half of the bar.

"Super," Hitoshi muttered and he started to eat his bar.

"Do you need some coffee," the spiky haired boy asked, and their eyes lit up.

"Please," Izuku begged.

"If you have some," Hitoshi agreed.

Kirishima smiled and took out a thermos.

"I brought some after yesterday," the shark teethed boy said. "Just in case."

"Thank you," the two said in chorus.

"No problem," Kirishima said. "Just remember to give the thermos back!"

After that, everyone finally started to load on the bus.

"I say whatever comes to my mind," Asui said as she looked at Hitoshi and Izuku.

"Yes, Asui," Izuku asked.

"Call me Tsu," Asui asked.

"Then call me Midori or Zuku," the freckled faced boy asked.

"Call me Toshi," Hitoshi said, and Tsu nodded in agreement.

"Your both really strong, kero," Tsu said.

"They are," Uraraka cheered. "William must be a really amazing sensei!"

"And, that gets me to my point," Tsu said as she tapped her chin. "Your training sounds really weird. Is this William a villain?"

The whole bus hushed at this accusation, and both teens tensed in anger.

"No," they growled firmly.

"He's no angel," Izuku admitted. "But, he's not a villain either."

"He saved us," Hitoshi hissed as he glared at the frog quirked girl.

How dare she insult one of the people to save him?! His family.

"Is he a vigilante then," she asked, quickly changing tracks. "Or a former one?"

"No," Izuku said as the two disgruntled teens settled down.

"Then, how does he have the skills he does," Tsu asked with a head tilt. "The engineering isn't so weird, but he seems to know an awful lot about fighting, kero."

Izuku sighed and tipped his head back against the window.

"Will," he mentally asked.

"Go ahead," Will said, reluctantly. "They're going to keep asking."

"I just want to let you know your forcing me to divulge private information," Izuku said giving his classmates a sharp, disappointed look.

His classmates looked guiltily at him.

"I'm sorry, kero," Tsu said as she bit her lip. "I didn't know it was private."

Hitoshi snorted. Of course it's private.

"You all will keep asking anyway," Izuku muttered bitterly, and some of his classmates winced. "Anyways, what you have to know is that Will's led a difficult life. He's been bullied for most of it for things he couldn't control."

"Was it because he's quirkless," Kirishima asked gently, his eyes sad.

Izuku nodded, not able to say anything else lest he give away that Will was from a completely different time.

"I'm sorry, Midori," Mina said sadly. "You don't have to say more."

"No, you all wanted to know," Izuku said, still bitter. "Before he had other means, Will fought in underground rings."

Everyone's eyes widened, besides Hitoshi.

"Why," Uraraka asked, concerned for her friend's mentor.

"To help pay the bills," Izuku said sadly.

"We're here," Aizawa said as they pulled up to a sphere shaped building. "Everyone quite down!"

Everyone," a space suite wearing teacher announced as everyone exited the bus. "I have been waiting for you."

"Space hero Thirteen," Uraraka squealed as the class stared in awe. "I love them!"

Whispers spread through the class like a forest fire as they walked into the building and looked around in awe.

"Wow, it looks like Universal Studios Japan," Kaminari whispered.

"This is a training ground I built with different types of disasters in mind," Thirteen said. "It's called the Unforeseen Simulation Joint or 'USJ' for short."

Hitoshi chuckled at the irony.

"Thirteen, where's Allmight," Aizawa asked with a frown. "He was supposed to meet us here."

Thirteen dropped their voice and held up three fingers. Izuku frowned as he eavesdropped on their conversation.

"It looks like he ran out of time on the way here," the space hero whispered. "He's resting in the lounge."

"That's the height of irrationality," Aizawa sighed.

"I don't have a good feeling about this, brat," William warned.

"Me either," Izuku sighed.

"Shall we begin," Aizawa said loudly, getting the classes' attention.

Thirteen started to explain how dangerous their quirk was and how the students should be responsible with their own quirks. However, Izuku was on edge. He kept glancing around to the different zones as the feeling of wrongness continued to grow.

"Zuku, what's wrong," Hitoshi asked, but Izuku didn't answer.

He didn't need to. It was at that moment that the lights started flickering and a warp gate slowly—and dramatically—appeared in the middle of the building.
