'You all need to be at the team building!' I read the message and frown as I look to the ceiling. I couldn't believe my luck because I was home and I was sick. I had gotten flu while working. After our little encounter last Saturday I pushed myself, Laxus, Jellal, Gray, Zeref and Hibiki to go and work outside and we each brought back another arrest.

My feelings was all over the place when Hibiki was the one who had walked in to Lucy's office only to hand him some papers as well. I felt nervous and almost guilty that we had almost gotten caught that I rushed every one out in the rain to make more arrests and get a handle in myself. I felt like there was a sticker on my forehead that said that I was committing adultery.

It was childish I know. And look where I ended up? At home with a temperature so fucking high that I felt like I was going to die. I turn on my side and look at my son laying next to me, he was just taking a nap with me while Lisanna quickly went to buy stuff at the shop to make dinner.

'When is it?' Hibiki asks and I place my other hand on my forehead, I still had a fever.

'Friday, at the Golden Falcons sport grounds.' Aries types back and for a moment I go silent.

'Is it compulsory?' Gray asks and there is a moment of silence as I see Lucy is typing.

'No but I negotiated to get you all off for the day so we can spend the day together and do team building.' Who the fuck in their right mind could say no to that and now I was even imagining her big eyes staring at me asking me to join.

'My good people I will not be able to make it, I am booked off sick.' I reply back and for a second I see Lucy was typing but then there is a jumble of names that pops up.

'Let's all just meet up and spend an hour or two, it would be better then spending the day at work.' Came Laxus reply and I roll onto my back as I look at the ceiling yet again. If I felt like I did right now I was not leaving my house, not even if Lucy was on her knees in front of me.

'You all suck. But besides you all have to come, I signed you up for sports teams. Suck it up buttercups.' At this I chuckle and then cough as I try to sit up and I shake my head from side to side. She was really going out of her way to get us all together for a team building? Her effort hasn't gone unnoticed it seemed because I then get a message notification and move from our group chat and look over the names on my phone.

Aries was there and then Erza. I frown and look to Aries message first.

'Hi Cst Dragneel, Lucy has really gone out of her way to ensure the sectors and crime prevention is not only off for the Friday but the whole weekend. It would mean the world to her if you did manage to come, even if it was only for an hour or so. You can leave anytime.' I re-read the message and from as I screenshot the message and then I move to Erza.

'Lucy is so annoying, you guys should be working and not going drinking.' At this I frown because this was typical Erza.

'She's trying to get us to be balanced. Unlike you who works us to the bone.' I reply back and Erza read this but she doesn't reply. Like she could even have a say in what was currently going on at the station since she has not yet been back.

I move to Laxus name and open our chat. 'I doubt I'll make it Friday.' I sent to Laxus and within minutes he is on and he reads my message, typing his reply.

'Come on man. It's one day.' Was his lone reply and I just look at the screen, did Laxus really just say that? He was never one for team buildings or anything that concerned the station but if he was saying this. I frown and huff out a breath as I rise to my feet making sure that I don't wake my son. I hear what seems to be Lisanna as she fights with the door keys and the lock, all her packages also in her hands.

I walk to the front door and I unlock the door before I reach to her and I take the packages from her. She wasn't lazy but she never made two trips to the car. "Thank you love." She replies as she takes a step to me and leans in to kiss my cheek.

"Sure, you seemed to have bought the whole shop." I say as I place the packages on the counter. At this Lisanna giggles and then she starts making work of packing away everything she had bought.

"Not really, how are you feeling?" she asks as she side steps me and then places her palm to my forehead. "Still burning up." She states and her face softens as she leans in to kiss my cheek again.

"Yeah, I just need to eat before I take the antibiotics and go back to bed." I say as I move to the side and sit at the counter. She looks to me a frown on her face.

"You shouldn't have pushed yourself that much." She says as she turns on the oven and then pull out some pots from underneath the sink. "You work way too hard." Lisanna says and I raise a brow, she was one to talk, she was also the one that worked strange hours when normal hours was available. "Maybe this week at home will do you some good since I took off as well to take care of you." I look up to her and she has her back to me so she couldn't see the scroll on my face.

She was taking time off to look after me? This was something new. But I shrug it off as I grab for the juice which she placed to my side and I open it and drink straight from the bottle.
