Ranger POV

As I walked back upstairs to seven I knew Abuela would have some questions about Steph. Especially since meeting her. I'm hoping Lester at least filled her in. At least she isn't as judgemental as the rest of the family. Pushing open the door.

"Abuela?" I called entering the kitchen and seeing it empty.

"Carlito, I just needed the bathroom. Let's make your woman a dessert. She seems very nice. Have you asked her out yet?" She smirked at me.

"We haven't even known each other that long and she is going through a very difficult time."

"Your life has not always been easy. Especially these last few years. Add in your mother's betrayal. I think you both could help each other. How long has it been since you dated a woman?"

"High school, maybe once or twice in the past 5 years. Both women thought I was a walking checkbook. Never went very far."

"Based on what you know about Stephanie, would she treat you that way?"

"I think with her and the fact she has been alone so long. It would be a struggle to get her to give up some of that. How do I even know if she is interested?"

I watched my grandmother move around the kitchen. She stared at me a moment before speaking again.

"Mijo, any woman would be lucky to have you but that woman. There is something about her that I can tell. She is just as drawn to you too. Just ask her out to dinner." I nodded.

"She's very nervous around people, especially in this town. Do you think I could go on a date but we stay in?" I nervously asked.

"That sounds perfect for you both. Now help me finish this dessert for her."

Frank POV

Before I left Rangeman that very nice Hector handed me an envelope filled with the rest of the test results. I figured Helen would want to come after me if she ever came out. These tests that weren't ready previously show those kids have an interesting father. I knew this information and the information about Helen could possibly prove as an insurance policy for Stephanie. I know she stays away from here but they could always try to find her.

As much as I love seeing my pumpkin, having her so close to these people is stressful. Perhaps it is time for me to move up to the lake too. Joe mentioned it since he plans to retire next year. Since his wife passed being here isn't the same for him. Stephanie has enough room for me till I build myself a little place on the lake near hers. Yeah, I think it's time to leave this place. Not like those girls are my grandkids since Valerie isn't mine. I'll talk to Steph after my lawyer tomorrow.

Morelli POV

When I get out of here I'm going to kill Stephanie. Her lies are why I am here. She wanted it. Now, to get back at me because Helen taught her a lesson she fabricated evidence. That's fine. I know about her secret little lake house. That house should have been mine for marrying Valerie. She's the good daughter. The one who keeps a clean house, services her husband and community. All while beating children. If only she could have a boy.

Now I just have to wait till I'm released back to my wife. I know she hates her sister. She will help me destroy her. Won't take much, maybe Helen will want in on this. Finally finish her off. Where is that guard? He said he'd come back after lights out but maybe he will make it sooner. I am the Italian Stallion.
