Seconds later, Professor Juniper came into the kitchen.
"Hey, everyone, sorry to interrupt, but Delia, you have a phone call. And Ash?" Juniper turned towards the boy. "I will need your presence as well."
And so Delia and Ash stood up and began following Juniper over to her videophone, curious as to who could be calling them right now. Once they arrived, Delia stood in front of the monitor.
"Hello? Delia here," she said into the phone.
The screen then came on and showed Hilary's face.
"Good evening, Delia," she greeted. "I hope I'm not catching you at a bad time."
"Not at all," Delia said, smiling. "Professor Oak and Ash had just gotten through discussing something Oak wanted Ash to do for him while he was on his journey."
"That's actually kind of the reason why I was calling. I have Hilda here with me and she would like to speak to Ash," Hilary said.
Hilary then motioned for Hilda to step forward. Said teenager adjusted her cap as she took her position in front of the monitor, Ash doing the same.
"Hey, Ash, what's up?" she greeted her friend.
"Nothing much," Ash replied.
"Ash, Hilda has something she would like to ask you," Hilary told Ash.
