A few days later a car pulls into the dude ranch as it pulls to a stop in front of a cabin "We're here!" Kara says as she climbs out of the passenger side as Lyndy pokes her head out of the cabin as she runs off the porch toward the car
"Hi!" Lyndy says as she gets to the car as her and Kara embrace each other as they continue to squeal as Charlie walks over to where David is standing nearby
"How's it going man?" Charlie says as he approaches David as they give each other a hug
"Going good" David says as he looks at Charlie "How's everything going in Montana?"
"Everything's going fine" Charlie says as he continues to look at him "Can I ask you something, what is it with girls and squealing"
"I have no idea" David says as he looks at Charlie "But what I do know is in a few weeks your going to be outnumbered" he says as he pats Charlie on the shoulder as he begins to walk over to the girls as Charlie gives him a look before following
"Well we should get up to the house" Lyndy says as her and Kara pull apart "Caroline is cooking dinner for us all"
A little while later Lyndy comes in the door followed by David along with Kara and Charlie follow them as Tim and Lisa sit at the table as Caroline is standing at the stove "Well look what the cat dragged in" Lisa says as they all walk into the house "Hey sweetheart" she says walking over giving Kara a hug as Caroline walks over to behind Lisa
"There better be a hug in there for me too" Caroline says as Kara walks over giving her a hug "Lost the best assistant I've had at the dude ranch"
"Hey Mr. Fleming" Kara says as she looks at Tim as Caroline and Lisa move past them to talk to Charlie
"Hi Kara" Tim says as he gets up from the table as Kara gives him a hug "Your looking" he says looking as he looks catching a glance from Lisa and Caroline "Looking great, it's good to have you back" he says continuing "And you too" he says looking at Charlie
"Where's dad at?" Lyndy says as she looks around the room
"He is running a little late at the clinic apparently Amy and Ava were volunteering and a snake got loose but he's going to be here as quick as he can" Caroline says as they all make a face
Later everyone is sitting around the table as they are eating "So Ava was horrified thinking the snake had ate a Gerbil that we have clinic" Ty says as he takes a bite of food "As it ended up, it was just hiding under the bedding of it's cage the whole time"
"So it was just the food in its enclosure then" Lyndy says as she looks at him "Well at least we know he's eating again"
"Yea" Ty says as he looks at her "But we still need to see if we can figure what was going on in the first place to see what was going on in the first place"
"Well I was going to go back over there after I finish eating so I can take a look" Lyndy says as she looks at him "Since David and Charlie want to have a guys night"
"And where there are cute animals to be cuddled" Kara says as she looks at him "I'll be there"
"Speaking of being there" Caroline says as she looks at them "How much long is it now until we get to meet Miss Ellie" she says looking at Kara's belly
"Well according to the doctor I have eight more weeks" Kara says as she looks at them "But I have a feeling she's going to be here before that" she says continuing "Call it mother's intuition"
"And the fact that she is about to kick her way out" Charlie says looking over where he is sitting beside her
"Yea that too" Kara says as they all smile at her "But we have decided that when it's time we want to have a home birth" she says continuing "And we have a great midwife that has been there every step of the way" she finishes as Tim, Lisa and Ty all look at one another "What?" Kara says looking at them
"Mom had a home birth when I was born" Lyndy says as she looks over at Kara "I think it's stirred up memories"
"I'll say" Tim says as he looks at them "When your mom was expecting you, your dad was in magnolia" he says continuing "So I had to go to most of the birthing classes with your mom, anyway I thought I was going to be this great coach when the time came"
"And then you almost passed out when Lyndy was being born" Ty says as he looks over at Tim
"Because you weren't a bundle of nerves" Tim says as he looks at Ty "We thought for a little bit there that you were going to have to deliver her"
"But you're a vet" David says as he looks over at Ty
"That's what I said too" Tim says as Ty glances over in his direction
"The only thing that really mattered though" Lisa says as she looks at all of them "is that in the end a gorgeous baby girl was born" she says as she looks at Lyndy "Who I still can't believe is going to be graduating from vet school tomorrow"
"Who I am so proud of" Ty says as he looks over at where he is sitting beside Lyndy "And your mom would be so proud of you too" he says giving her a kiss on the head
"Well hopefully they actually have some refreshments this time in the lobby" Tim says as he looks at him "But if I can be serious for a minute, I saw we make a toast" he says continuing "To my beautiful granddaughter and all of her success" he says as they all raise a glass
A while later Lyndy and Kara are sitting in Kara and Charlies cabin "You know I'm kind of glad your Uncle Scott, Aunt Cass and Dad kicked us out of the clinic tonight" Kara says looking at Lyndy "I like just having time for just you and I"
"Yea" Lyndy says as she looks over at her "Even though David and I are going to have to share the champaign that they gave us" she says as Kara turns to look at the window "Hey what's going on down there" she says as Lyndy looks out the window to see Ty and Caroline walking down toward the end of the dock where there are candles sitting around
"Oh get down before they see us" Lyndy says as her and Kara dunk down
"What is it?" Kara says as she looks at Lyndy as they poke their heads back up
"I think Dad is getting ready to propose to Caroline" Lyndy says as she smiles over to Kara as they continue to poke their heads out watching
Meanwhile Ty and Caroline walk down along the dock "What is all of this?" Caroline says as she looks around and back at Ty
"Sweetie" Ty says as he looks at her "Caroline" he says trying to find his words "We've been through a lot not just over this past year, but in the last few years" he says as Caroline continues to look at him "And I never thought I could ever feel this way again about someone, but I do" he says as he continues "I love you Caroline, and I can't imagine my life now without you in it" he says as he gets down on one knee as Caroline cups her hands over her mouth "So Caroline Nicole, will you marry me?"
"Of course" Caroline says as she looks at him as he slips the ring on her finger "Yes of course I will" she says as they embrace in a hug as they kiss
"I think she said yes" Kara says as her and Lyndy are still in the cabin peaking out the window as she looks at Lyndy as she continues to look out the window "How are you feeling?"
"Excited" Lyndy says as she turns to look at Kara as a smile forms across her face "For all of this, Dad and Caroline getting married, for Ellie to come, and for graduating tomorrow" she says as Kara continues to look at her "Just for everything" she says as Kara smiles at her
The next morning David comes down from the loft as Lyndy follows behind him "So what is it that your dad wanted to show us"
"I don't know" Lyndy says as she gets to the bottom of the stairs "He just told me to meet him down here"
"Oh look at you in your gown" Caroline says as she walks into the barn "You look great" she says giving Lyndy a hug "Your dad told me to tell you to meet him in the office"
"Okay" Lyndy says as she walks forward into the office as Ty is standing by the desk "Hey what's going on in here"
"Come here sweetheart" Ty says as she walks further into the office as she walks over to the desk "What is all of this" she says looking at Amy's desk where there is a plaque sitting on it
"When I graduated vet school your mom gave me a new desk for my graduation present" Ty says as he looks at her "Now I know that this isn't necessarily a new desk but I want you to have your mom's desk"
"Dad" Lyndy says as she looks at him as she picks up the plaque "This means more to me then any new desk ever could" she says looking at him "Thank you"
"You're welcome" Ty says as he looks at her "I love you" he says as he looks at his watch "But we better be getting to the auditorium"
"Let's do this" Lyndy says looking at Ty as they walk back out of the office to where Caroline and David are waiting
