I shoveled the coal into the cart. My eyes lingering on the weakening Torgrutans. I worked silently and quickly lest they decide to hurt the colonist. I coughed as the dust coated my throat.
"Pick up the pace skug" a zygerrian shouted to a collapsed colonist. Slaves groaned and cried all around us
" Obi Wan Kenobi, once a Jedi master, now a Jedi slave." The slaver laughed."pitiful"
"Everything about this place is designed to shatter the will. It has already begun to affect these poor people" Kenobi said. A slaver cracked his whip connecting with his collar.
"Speech is forbidden!" A slaver snarled
"I'm sorry. It won't happen again." Kenobi said
"There will be punishment" he snarled cracking his whip hitting the torgruta colonist beside us.
" No stop. It's my mistake! Leave him alone!" Kenobi protested. The slaver went to jam the staff into Kenobis collar. I dipped in front of him the slavers staff connecting with my collar. I writhed with electricity. I slumped over my shovel electricity thriving in my veins. Rex was in a similar position leaning against a pile of coal
" Now a slave gives me commands?" He growled ferociously.
He proceeded to whip the colonists. I panted as the surge passed.
" Beg! Beg me before this one dies because of you!" The slaver shouted
"Please. Forgive me, Master." Kenobi said. The slaver laughed before walking away. Kenobi placed a hand on the torgruta
"Keep away from me. Jedi only make things worse." The colonists said. Kenobi turned back to us looking devastated. Rex and I offered him a small comfort before we went back to work. Rex and I pushed a cart down to the tracks to the furnace.
"You two come with me " a slaver snarled at the two of us.
We looked at each other before following him into a room Kenobi was shackled to the wall.
"We will whip you until you decide to pick up the whip yourselves." A second slaver chuckled.
They looked us over before igniting they're whips.
"Such a shame you would have made a good pleasure slave had you not been so defiant." One of them smirked he ran a hand down my cheek lust in his eyes. I spit in his face. He growled before cracking the whip against my back. I groaned as electricity danced through me. Rex and Kenobi were both in the same position as I was.
"Any takers" the slaver asked offering us the whip.
I glared defiantly at them.
"Hmm then clone whip him or I beat her" The slaver chuckled. I looked at Rex and shook my head.
"No " Rex said staring down the man.
"Have it your way." The slaver chuckled brandishing his staff.
He connected it with the collar amping the volts. I screamed as it danced in my veins. He pulled back the staff and i panted. He slammed a fist into my side repeatedly and I growled my ribs groaned with every hit.
I saw Kenobi nudge Rex.
"Now I'll ask the same question whip him or I'll beat her" the slaver grinned maliciously he grabbed my head pulling it back drawing a claw down my cheek.
Rex nodded slowly he took the whip and cracked it hesitantly against Kenobis back. The slavers amped up the voltage as Rex hit Kenobi again. I flinched I had never in all my time heard a Jedi scream like that. The slavers smiled.
"Good good finally one of you skugs knows how to listen." The slaver smirked.
"Your turn Jedi whip her or I beat him." Another slaver handed Kenobi the whip. I nodded and cracked it I bit back a scream as it connected with my back.
"I'm sorry." Kenobi whispered as he cracked the whip again. I let out a scream. The slavers chuckled.
"It's ok." I reassured. The process repeated cycling through the three of us for about an hour. The slavers unchained us laughing.
" What kind of Jedi whips his soldiers." One of them smirked.
We were released from our chains and forced into a large room with the rest of the colonists. We were given a meager amount of food. The slaver kicked Kenobi who snarled at him his fist raised. He sat back down grabbing his food. We ate in silence the slavers watching our every move. After about 5 minutes we were tossed into a room full of bunks. I shuddered Kenobis eyes were haunted and hollowed. Rex slowly and gingerly climbed into a bunk. I layed on a bunk above him.
I let sleep consume me thankful to have a break from the horrors.
"Get up skugs. Your presence has been required by keeper Agruss" a slaver said walking us.
We were zapped down the steps of the main room to a kneeling position.
"Obi Wan Kenobi in chains once again I see." Dooku said
"Count Dooku, still afraid to get your hands dirty." Kenobi quipped back.
"I would gladly make an exception in your case, my friend. I wanted to say a proper farewell before keeper Agruss puts you to death." Dooku said
"Keeper, the slave ship Tecora is making an unscheduled landing on platform two-four." A zygerrian said.
"Skywalker." Dooku said darkly." Kenobi tell your young friend Skywalker if he does not surrender, the slaves will be terminated in his name."
I looked over at Kenobi.
"Anakin I'm glad to see you, but I'm afraid our host feels otherwise." Kenobi said
"You can't make everyone happy, Master." Skywalker quipped.
"They're threatening to kill the slaves unless you surrender." Kenobi replied
"It's good to see you're always ready to negotiate. But I've had enough bargaining with slave drivers."he growled
"Anakin you must understand that this is a fight you cannot win alone." Kenobi said
Who said I was alone?" Skywalker smirked. I let out a low chuckle.
"Keeper a fleet of warships has dropped out of hyperspace in sector six." The zygerrian said
"Jedi reinforcements." Agruss said.
"Now" Kenobi shouted he force ripped of our collars. I smirked
"About time." Rex quipped I knocked a zygerrians legs out from under him. I clocked him in the face. Picking up his staff and drove it into his back. I wrangled with another with a blaster.
"No!" Kenobi shouted. I looked over to see Agruss smashing the computers. I grappled with a Zygerrian. He slammed his staff into my side I writhed with electricity. A blaster shot passed through the mans head. I looked up and nodded my thanks to Rex.
"The controls are destroyed master Plo there's nothing we can do from here" Kenobi said into his comm.
"Incoming" Rex shouted as new zygerrian came in. I dove to avoid the blasters.
"Any plans?" I asked Kenobi. I rushed a guard well kenobi grabbed his light saber.
"Come now. Master kenobi. I know a Jedi won't kill an unarmed man." Agruss smirked. I looked up and Rex who held one of the staffs and he launched it through the air. It's dull end embedding itself in Agruss' chest.
"I'm no Jedi." He said Agruss chair slammed into one of the screens.
"We better get going if we want a rescue." I said we sprinted out meeting up with skywalker and jumped onto a gunship.
"Ok Master Plo. The cruiser is clear." Skywalker said. We landed on the cruiser.
"You two look like bantha shit" Wolfe said cocking an eyebrow at us
"Feel like it too grumpy thanks for the rescue" I said.
"We're gonna hit the freshers." Rex said
"And I'm probably gonna burn these clothes" I chuckled dryly.
We walked out of the hangar and into the halls.
"How's your back" I asked Rex
"Hurts how bout you" he asked
"I feel all tingly." I chuckled slightly. He hummed as we walked into the fresher. I dipped into the private shower stalls letting the cool water flush over me. I scrubbed the ash soot and dried blood off me. I stepped out applying some bacta spray to the cuts then pulling on some clothes Ahsoka had left out for me. I waited outside for Rex.
"You waited for me " he chuckled
"Yeah I wanted to see your back you fell from like three stories."I said Rex nodded I stripped of the top of his blacks. His back was a mottled array of bruises and gash marks. I poked one of the darker bruises on his ribcage.
"Stop that." He grumbled. I pulled my hands back and applied the bacta spray to the cuts.
"I'm going to go drink a bunch of alcohol care to join me" I said handing him his shirt.
"Definitely." He replied
"Thank god Vod'ika" Cody said as we stepped into Wolfe's private quarters both him and Cody were sitting on the floor with a bottle of whiskey.
"How's Kenobi?" I asked sitting down.
"He's taking a break for about two weeks." Cody replied.
I nodded Wolfe passed me a glass.
"To never having to do shit like that again" Rex said. We clinked the glasses together before taking the shot
