Through his luck, Asta finally had the opportunity to come to terms with the flower-mage. They agreed to meet each other later that night, Asta had made the request. It was now or never.

"Ok Asta, I came down like you wanted me to. Now, what is it that you want."

Mimosa held a very calm deminer. She had her arms crossed, and head gazed firmly at the swordsman.

Asta took a deep breath.

"Well... for starters, why don't you tell me what the problem is, Mimosa."

"Just what on earth are you talking about now, Asta."

"You know, exactly, what I'm talking about, Mimosa."

"Sorry... but I don't know what on earth you're getting at."

The Anti-magic user gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. How could she be so oblivious to the whole situation, he told himself. Did she not think Asta wouldn't notice such behaviour from someone like her.

"Well, if you're gonna play dumb, then let me jog your memory. Why have you been so distant from me, Mimosa? Every time I try to see you, you always seem to be busy. You're avoiding me, arent you?"

It was at that moment the flower mage, turned her attention away from Asta. "So that's what this was about? Don't be ridiculous, Asta. When my rank increases, so do my responsibility... you should know that more than anyone."

"Does it increase so much you stop seeing an individual person?" he replied.

"Just what are you implying Asta," snapped the flower mage.

"Just why don't you come clean about it, Mimosa. I know you're avoiding me. You don't even wanna look at me, let alone talk to me."

The flower mage became agitated and flustered. "This is absurd. I can't believe you called me up here for something so stupid," storming away from the scene.

"Where do you think you're going, Mimosa!"

"Anywhere but here," she replied.

"There go again, avoiding me like you have been doing for the last week. Is this how you like to solve all your problems! What's your problem Mimosa! Why are you angry at me?! Is because I rejected you that day!"

Coming from the Anti-magic user, those last words echoed, sparking the flower mage stop in her tracks. Mimosa stood firm with her fists clenched before storming back to the scene.

She was vexed.

"Ill right fine, do you wanna know the truth then, Asta! Do you!" she shouted.

She came before Asta with her eyes were beginning to water. It was more than just a troubled look. It was a mixture of sadness and regret.

"Wh-whats wrong with Mimosa. Why are you crying?!"

"Don't touch me, Asta!" she retaliated. The dam burst as a fave of tears came flooding down. "The truth is that's exactly the reason why I'm avoiding you. I'm avoiding you because of the fact you rejected me, don't you get it, Asta!"

It all became clear now. Looked as though Asta's assumptions were correct. He knew that specific incident had to do something with Mimosa's change in behaviour. If only, understood the magnitude of what he had done.

"So that's the reason then," said the disappointed swordsman.

"But that doesn't explain why you're constantly avoiding me. Are we not still friends?"

"WHY ARE YOU SOO OBLIVIOUS TO EVERYTHING ASTA!" placing her hands on her face.

Mimosa sulked, cried and eventually fell to her knees. She had been holding these emotions for such a long time and now she was at the breaking point.

"The truth is I still love you, Asta. I really do..."

*sulk*

"But I can't be friends with someone that I'm madly in love with. How could you expect me to fake the sadness I feel every time I would spend time with you."

*sulk*

"I can never be friends with you... not until I stop having butter flys in my stomach, not until my face stops blooming red every time I see you, Asta."

*sulk*

*sulk*

*cry*

"The only thing I could think of was to cut you out of my life completely. That's why I was avoiding and distancing myself from you. I believed doing so would help me take my mind off you, but that made things so much more difficult. You would always make the effort to come to see and talk to me, and I would always have to push you away. I'm so sorry, Asta."

The flower mage continued to weep and cry. It was an endless puddle of tears flowing through Mimosa's eyes. For the past week, she had been ignoring and neglecting the man she loved. Now she is at the tipping point where she unable to continue.

"I don't know how long I can keep this up."

"Mimosa, stop!"

Without hesitation, the swordsman wrapped Mimosa around his muscular arms. Clenching each other as the two locked their teary eyes.

"I'm so sorry Mimosa, this is all my fault."

"Why are you apologising. I'm the selfish one," she replied.

"You're not selfish, Mimosa. You're anything but that. I should've been more considerate. I shouldn't have put you through this. I care so much about you, and it kills to see you suffer like this."

"Well, if that's how you feel, then why don't you accept me."

Asta held a tense look, not saying a single word.

Mimosa whipped a tear "That's what I thought. If you don't feel the same way I do then, what's the point."

"I know Mimosa, and I'm very sorry. Bu-but can we please just be friends."

The flower mage wept a little more before finally coming off her knees.

"Since all you wanted was the truth, there it is. I guess I better leave."

Slowly without saying another word, Mimosa crept away.

"Mimosa, please don't go away. Mimosa..." Asta chased her down, swiftly grabbing her wrist.

"Please don't leave me, Mimosa," he sobbed "I-I know I can't give you what you want, and I don't know if our relationship will ever be the same after this. But like I told you before, friendship with you is the most important thing to me. My relationship with my friends and family means more to me than anything in the whole world. You can't just throw away all the good times we had together."

It was for that brief moment Mimosa Vermilion reminisced the memories she shared with her beloved. Although there were some which put the pair on the brink of death, the majority of the recalls were enjoyable; pictures of them smiling and relishing others company. These were all thoughts that she couldn't just dump away.

"Maybe it was a mistake to join the Golden Dawn. If hadn't joined we would've never been in this situation in the first place."

"No don't say that, Asta!" Mimosa yelled, "Don't say that, don't say those words ever again."

"Mimosa."

"I'm sorry, I can't tell you how sorry I am. I put my own selfish feelings first. I didn't think about how it would affect you," hugged her squadmate.

"Look you're right, you're absolutely right. I can't just throw away all the good memories we shared with each other. I'm... we're really lucky to have you here at the Golden Dawn, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Whether you're my boyfriend or just a squadmate. If-if you consider me as family, then..." eyes beginning to water "then that's good enough for me."

"Mimosa, thank you!"

The pair embraced as they wrapped themselves around one's arms, refusing to let go. Reminiscing of all the times they spent together at the Golden Dawn, this was a special moment for both mages. Mimosa not for the first time had tears in her eyes. Whilst Asta had the look of gratitude.

"Looks like its getting late. Guess we better get going now," said Mimosa.

"Yeah, I'll lead the way," pulling out his hand.

"You've always been such a gentleman, Asta" sparking a smile from the Anti-magic user.

The pair walked down the hill, strolling closely side by side. The atmosphere suddenly seemed a lot better, and the tension between the two was lifted. For Mimosa's sake, she was happy to relieve herself from bottling up her treacherous emotions, whereas Asta held the look of gratitude. He was thankful things could go back to normal.

"Say... Mimosa. Remember when I said I shouldn't have joined the Golden Dawn."

"Yeah... No! PLEASE ASTA DONT SAY THOSE WORDS AGAIN, IM SORRY MAKING YOU THINK OUTRAGEOUS THOUGHTS," clinging on to his arms.

"No, no. It's not that I've been thinking..."

"Thinking about what?"

"Ummm... never mind, lost my train of thought. But anyway, I actually have to be somewhere to be right now."

"Yo-You're going somewhere right now?!"

"Yeah, but don't worry, I'll be back by tomorrow." Before the Anti-magic user could leave, the royal held clinging on to his arm.

"Asta wait..."

"What is it Mimosa?"

"So-Sorry again, Asta. Just looking back it now, I can see how silly I look."

The swordsman giggled, "You're not silly, Mimosa. In my eyes, you're amazing. I'm glad I met you."

The pair once again locked eyes, before the flower mage swayed her blooming face away.

"Let's forget about all this. Let's start all over again," smiled Mimosa.

"Agreed"

After Asta fled away, the Golden Dawn held a clenched, combined with a teary look "I know Asta, doesn't like me now. But one day, I'll make sure he falls for me. I won't give up."

...

The morning had come, and Mimosa vermilion woke up as fresh as a daisy. She felt a lot better after having that conversation with Asta.

She lifted herself from her bed and immediately started combing her luscious orange hair. Despite still having some guilty thoughts flowing around in her head, she knew Asta had forgiven her. As well as still having a chance to win him, which is more than what she could ask for.

*Knock*

*Knock*

"Come in," said Mimosa

Through the Vermilions door, came the wind user Yuno. However, the look he arrived with determined something off.

"Mimosa have seen Asta?!"

"Have I seen Asta?" she replied "Its still the morning right now. Have you checked his room?"

"Yes, I checked everywhere. He's not in his room, nor in any place at the Golden Dawn."

"What?!"
