Previously
Thor started swinging his hammer as lightning started gathering around him
"Ahhhhhh!" Thor shouted in rage as he ran at the Hulk, covered in lightning and swinging his hammer, and then struck him with a bunch of lightning, knocking Tony out of his hands and knocking him to the ground
"Tony!" Steve shouted in worry as he ran over to Tony who was gasping for air on the ground "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Tony replied in pain as he held his side, and then he turned to the Hulk who was slowly turning back into Bruce "But right now we need to worry about Bruce."
Now
"Stark." Thor said as he turned and went over to Tony "Are you alright?"
"Yeah." Tony replied "I'm fine."
"Okay. Good." Thor said
"I'm just worried about Bruce." Tony stated as he looked at Bruce who was unconscious on the ground
"Is he okay?" Steve asked when Thor walked over to Bruce and picked him up
"Yes. He is fine." Thor exclaimed
"Okay." Tony replied in relief "Good."
"Where should we go?" Steve asked Thor
"We should go back to the palace." Thor stated
"Yeah." Tony agreed "Let's go."
"Okay." Steve said as they started walking towards the palace
"Was anyone injured or...killed." Steve asked
"I saw multiple Asgardians injured. I do not know how many were killed." Thor said
"Okay." Steve replied and then yelled in pain and fell to his knees
"Steve!" Tony said in worry
"I'm okay." Steve replied as he got up slowly
"Steve." Tony said as he helped Steve up
"Yeah." Steve replied as he turned to face Tony
"Turn around and show me your back." Tony said
"Okay." Steve said and then winced when he turned around
"Stay still. This might hurt." Tony exclaimed
"Okay." Steve said in reply and closed his eyes
Tony stuck out his hands and sprayed Steve's back with frozen nitrogen (like in Avengers Endgame when Bruce snaps and burns his arm and so Tony sprays the frozen nitrogen on his arm to cool it down) and Steve groaned in pain and squeezed his eyes shut
"You okay?" Tony asked after he was done spraying Steve's back
"Yeah." Steve replied as he opened his eyes slowly
"Okay." Tony said "Let's get going."
"Yeah." Steve agreed and they started walking back to the palace
"Is Bruce doing okay Thor?" Tony asked after a few minutes
"Yes." Thor replied "He is doing fine."
"Has he moved at all?" Tony asked
"No. He has not moved or awoken yet." Thor stated
"Okay." Tony replied and then looked down at the ground
"He'll be fine Tony." Steve reassured Tony as he put his hand on Tony's shoulder
"Yeah." Tony said "I'm just afraid that once he wakes up and finds out all of the things that he did he'll run away again, or lock himself up."
"Yeah." Steve said "But we won't let that happen."
"Yeah." Tony agreed
"We're here." Thor said a few moments later as they walked into the palace
"Where should we go?" Tony asked
"Where are Clint and Natasha?" Steve asked
"Hold on." Tony said as his helmet flipped on and showed him an x-ray of the palace and all the heat signatures in it
"I think that they're back in the relic room." Tony stated after a couple moments
"Okay." Steve said "Let's go."
Back with Clint and Natasha
"What do you think is happening?" Natasha asked
"I don't know." Clint replied
"Do you think that the glowing has weared off yet?" Natasha asked after a couple minutes, staring at the ground
"I don't know. Maybe." Clint said
"What if the glowing never wears off? A-and they can n-never get Bruce to t-turn back?" Natasha said after a couple minutes, still looking at the ground
"Natasha." Clint said "That won't happen."
"B-but what if it does. A-and he never turns back. A-and I can never see him again. An-" Natasha said
"Natasha." Clint interrupted "That won't happen."
"B-but Thor's dad said tha-" Natasha started
"Natasha!" Clint said, grabbing her shoulders "I don't care about what he said. And neither should you. Bruce is going to turn back. And we're going to fix all of this. Okay?"
"Okay?" Clint said again when Natasha didn't reply
"...Okay." Natasha replied quietly after a few moments
"Okay." Clint said as he let go of her "Everything is going to be fine Natasha."
"But what if it's not?" Natasha said, looking down at the ground "What if he never turns back? And I never see him again..."
"Natasha. We've been through everything together. And most of those things seemed impossible. But we got through them together. Right?" Clint said
"Yeah." Natasha replied
"You and Bruce will get through this...together" Clint exclaimed as he grabbed her hand and squeezed it in comfort "I promise."
"Okay. Thank you Clint." Natasha said as she leaned into him
"You're welcome Natasha." Clint replied as he wrapped his arm around her and pulled her into a hug
Back with Tony, Steve, Thor, and Bruce
"It's this way right?" Tony said as they went down a hallway
"Yes." Thor replied
"Is your back doing okay?" Tony asked Steve
"Yeah." Steve replied "It still hurts, but it's fine."
"Let me see it." Tony said and they stopped and Steve turned around "It looks okay. It's still not good but..."
"Yeah." Steve said
"You'll still have to have it looked at." Tony stated "But it's still not like deathly bad at the moment."
"Yeah." Steve said as he turned back around and they started walking again "Wait. What do you mean by it's still not deathly bad at the moment?"
"Well it could still get infected or something, and that could kill you." Tony exclaimed
"Oh, yeah." Steve replied
"Yeah." Tony said
"How's Bruce doing?" Tony asked after a few minutes
"He is doing okay." Thor replied "He has still not moved or awoken at all yet though."
"Okay." Tony said "I'm just worried about him."
"Yeah." Steve agreed
"How much farther?" Tony asked
"Only a few more hallways, right?" Steve said
"Yes." Thor replied "We are almost at the relic room."
"What kind of relics are in the relic room?" Tony asked after a couple moments
"Well, there were the stones." Steve said
"Yeah. There were the stones, we know that. But what else is in there?" Tony asked
"The relic room holds many old, dangerous relics that we have found." Thor stated
"Like what?" Tony asked
"It used to hold the Casket of Ancient Winters. Which can freeze anything basically and could destroy Asgard in the wrong hands. But the Frost Giants stole it and we have not yet retrieved it from them." Thor exclaimed "And it also holds the Eternal Flame, which is a flame that can never be extinguished, and in the wrong hands it could also destroy Asgard. That is why they are kept in the vault. Well...one of them anyway. We still need to go back to jotunheim to retrieve the Casket."
"That's cool." Tony said
"Yeah." Steve agreed
"But if the relic room is basically a vault, and is locked, and has guards guarding it, then how did Loki get in and get the tesseract and the scepter?" Tony asked
"I do not know." Thor replied "He must have used his magic some how."
"Yeah." Steve said
"Hey." Tony said as they walked up to a huge door "Is this it?"
"Yes." Thor replied as he pushed the door open
"Hey guys!" Tony said to Clint and Natasha as him, Thor, and Steve walked into the room, and then Clint turned to them
"Oh. Hey." Clint replied and then looked at Thor, who was holding Bruce in his arms "You guys got Bruce."
"Yeah." Tony stated as Natasha turned and looked at Bruce
"Is he okay?" Natasha asked
"Yeah." Tony said "He's fine. It's Steve you should be worried about."
"Why?" Clint asked "What happened?"
Steve turned around to show Clint his back, which was almost completely burnt, and was covered in frozen nitrogen
"What happened?!" Clint asked as he looked at Steve's back "Are you okay?"
"The Hulk hit Steve and his hand almost burned Steve's entire back. And then when Steve got hit, he crashed into a car, scratching his burnt back even more, and opening it up." Tony replied "And so I covered it with frozen nitrogen to cool it down and ease the pain a little."
"Does it hurt at all?" Clint asked in worry
"I'm fine." Steve said in reply
"Are you sure? That looks pretty bad." Clint said
"I'm fine." Steve replied again and Clint looked back at Bruce
"What should we do?" Clint asked after a couple moments
"We should go find my father." Thor stated "He will know what we should do."
"Where is he?" Tony asked
"I do not know. The last time I saw him he was getting himself, my mother, and the other people that were still in the palace to safety ,and going to look for Loki." Thor exclaimed
"Did you guys happen to see him when you guys went out?" Tony asked Clint and Natasha
"No." Clint replied "We didn't."
"Where did he go then?" Tony questioned "What's a safe place that they could go that's in the palace?"
"I know." Thor said after a couple moments
"Where?" Steve said
"Follow me." Thor said and the Steve opened the door and they all walked out of the room
"Where is he?" Tony asked as they walked down the hallway
"There were only a few people left in the palace. And I think that my father took them and my mother to the other far side of the palace." Thor exclaimed
"So let's go to the far side of the palace." Clint said
"Yes." Thor said "That is where we are going."
"What if he's not there?" Steve asked
"If he is not there he probably escaped with my mother and the others when the palace shield went down, and went to the far side of the city, or into the forest." Thor said
"Okay." Tony said "But if he's not there he could be anywhere in Asgard. How do we find him then?"
"Then I will have Heimdall look for him." Thor stated "He will be able to find him in a couple moments."
"Okay." Tony replied
"But I think he is on this side of the palace." Thor said
"Okay." Clint said "But where do you think he is?"
"I think he might be in either my chambers, Loki's chambers, or him and my mothers chambers." Thor stated
"Okay." Steve said "Which should we check first?"
"I think we should check his and my mothers chambers first." Thor said "Because it is thier chambers, and is farthest away from the relic room."
"Okay." Tony replied "Let's go then."
"It is this way." Thor stated and then they turned down a hallway
"Okay." Tony said
"Has Bruce stirred or moved at all"? Tony asked after a couple minutes
"No." Thor said "Not yet."
"It's this way." Thor said as they turned another corner and walked down the hall until they faced a door
"Why are all of the doors so big?" Tony asked as Steve pushed the door open
"Father." Thor said when he saw Odin
"Thor." Odin said, turning to Thor
"Thor." Frigga said as she walked over to Thor and looked at his cuts and bruises "Are you alright?"
"Yes mother. I am fine." Thor replied and then looked around the room at all of the people and frowned
"Where is Loki?" Thor asked
"I went after him. But after the shield broke he escaped." Odin stated
"Do you know if he is still on Asgard?" Thor asked
"No, I do not." Thor's father replied
"We can worry about him later." Tony said "But right now we need to focus on Bruce and getting the tesseract stabilized."
"Yes." Thor agreed and turned to his father "Where should I put him?"
"Just. Put him on the bed." Odin said and Thor walked over to the bed and put Bruce on it
"When can we start stabilizing the tesseract again?" Tony asked after a few moments
"I do not know." Thor's father replied
"What do you mean you don't know?" Tony asked
"When Loki touched him with the mind stone to take control of him it could have messed with the tesseract and made it more unstable." Odin exclaimed "And so I do not want to risk anything happening until he has woken up and we know that the tesseract will not be a danger to anyone."
"So can we start on it when he wakes up?" Steve asked
"If the mind stone didn't effect him or the tesseract, and he feels fine than yes, we can start on it after he wakes up." Thor's father replied
"Okay." Steve said
"What should we do while we wait?" Tony asked
"I am going to check on the people and to see if I can find Loki." Thor stated as he walked over to the window that leads to the balcony and opened it
"Okay. Good luck." Tony said as Thor swung his hammer and then flew off towards the city
"You can all go back to your homes and families." Odin said to the guards and maids that were in the room
"Okay. Thank you." One of the guards said and they all walked out of the room
"Do you think Bruce will be okay when he finds out what he did?" Tony said after a few minutes as he looked at Bruce who was lying on the bed unconscious
"I don't know." Clint replied
"He might just want to be locked in a cage again." Natasha saai, looking down
"Natasha. Don't think like that." Clint said
"Yeah." Steve agreed "It wasn't his fault. We won't let him lock himself up."
"Yeah. As soon as Thor gets back and Bruce wakes up we are going to stabilize the tesseract and fix all of this." Tony exclaimed
"Yeah." Clint said "So don't worry Natasha."
"Yeah. Everything is going to be fine." Steve reassured Natasha
"Okay." Natasha replied after a couple moments "Thank you guys."
"You're welcome." Steve said and a few minutes later Thor came back
"Hey Thor." Tony said "Did you find Loki?"
"No." Thor said and then looked down "I did not."
"We'll find him." Steve said as he put his hand on Thor's shoulder
"Yeah." Tony agreed and then they heard a groan, and they all quickly turned to the bed where Bruce was laying
"Bruce." Tony said and ran over to Bruce who was slowly opening his eyes
"Bruce." Natasha said as she quickly went over to him and hugged him
Then suddenly Bruce pushed her off of him hard, sending her flying across the room into the wall
"Natasha!" Clint shouted as he ran over to Natasha, who was lying on the ground
Then they all turned and looked at Bruce, who's eyes were a dark icey blue
