Once again, I hope you're all safe and sound, and healthy wherever you might be whole wide world. And please remember to be cautious with human contact, everyone.
Also, for this chapter, there's gonna be various metahumans, powered people and other heroes from DC Comics in this story. I've also involved metahumans from future/past seasons of The Flash. Just so people know they're not OCs or something.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the DC characters or The Flash characters, I only take care of the OCs.

Chapter 37: War on Earth-1
A war brew in Central City…
Buildings are ablaze… Fights are erupting around in the streets… Destruction and havoc spreading throughout the city… Explosions easily drowning out the sounds of civilians screaming in terror… Evil metahumans from another Earth commencing their attack, fighting the policemen of the local police department…
Only for the heroes of this Earth to intervene with their plans.
Sprouting his wings, the evil metahuman let out a war cry before diving down to strike the elemental.
But as he was protecting his loved one, Caitlin on his back, Seth wasn't gonna let that happen. Raising his crystal sword, he jumped onto the side of the building and leaped off in a spin before swinging his sword. Thanks to his adamantium arm and earth-strengthened bones, the strike to the winged metahuman's back sent him flying into the side of a car.
"Stupid chicken." Venom growled. This was the third metahuman to try and stop him and his daughters from fighting their way out of this mess. But like his predecessors, he was defeated. However, it was a short-lived defeat as the winged metahuman managed to get back into the air. "Never stops do they?"
Caitlin looked around, worried another metahuman might try to attack them from behind. But instead, she saw her daughters fighting various metahumans from every direction. "Oh God, the girls…"
Seth chuckled. "They grow up so fast-" His sentence was cut short when two metahumans, one with fire powers and one with ice powers appeared, both shooting out their respective elemental blasts.
Wind gathered around his body before Seth catapulted off the ground and onto the side of an apartment building. Seeing that more metahumans came close to him, he shifted his eyes to the side and saw a fire escape there.
"What's your plan?" Caitlin inquired, following the direction of his eyes and eyeing the emergency exit.
"Got a plan, not a good one though." Placing his sword on his back, beside Caitlin, he used both hands to crawl up the wall, instantly reaching the top of the building. Standing on the ledge, he reached down and took hold of the fire escape with both hands.
Once again using adamantium to strengthen his arms, he tore the entire emergency exit off the wall before pushing it down. Caitlin and Seth watched both brick debris and the metal exit fall down on some evil metahumans.
"Not gonna hold long." Venom said and jumped off the rooftop, landing on another one before leaping onto another one. Turning around to look in the direction of the chaos, he examined the distance between them and stated. "Looks far enough…"
"What do you…" Caitlin trailed off when the mutant reached behind his back and grabbed her, pulling her off his back and placing her on the ground. "Seth, what are you doing?"
Retracting the symbiotic suit around his form back into his body, Seth looked into the eyes of his loved one. He didn't answer her question. Instead, he steps closer and closer to her body. Her mouth gaped in confusion, about to voice her thoughts but she caught off guard when he placed his lips over hers. Momentarily shocked by his actions, she closes her eyes as she starts to reciprocate the kiss and wrap her arms around his neck.
As he tilted his head to the side, deepening the kiss between them, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him. By accident, his elements started to emanate around his fingertips. Lightning touched the small of her back, causing what felt like real lightning to shoot up her spine. The feeling made her eyes snap open in shock before closing again to return and enjoy the kiss.
Parts of her thought her mind was playing tricks on her because she was sure she felt an outside source of heat, akin to a fire, on her skin, warming her up. But the fact was that the mutant she was kissing right now is an environment for elements, so she has to get used to that.
Removing her lips from him, Caitlin placed her forehead against his. Both she and Seth closed their eyes. And though their home is a battlefield right now, fights erupting around them, they couldn't stop smiling as they were reunited.
Seth rubbed noses with her, making her giggle at his playfulness despite the gravity of their situation. "God, I missed you, Cait."
"I missed you too." She quickly kissed him, tears rolling down her cheeks. Caitlin pulled back, looking into his blue eyes with her teary wet brown eyes. "Can't believe our daughters are down there in the streets, fighting off metahumans. Are they okay? Frankie and Ruby fought Zoom in Jitters and-"
"They fought Zoom?" Seth jumped in. "Crap, what did I miss?"
"A lot." She regretfully told him. "But why-" Caitlin gestured to the rooftop they're on. "Why did you bring me here, Seth? What's the problem?"
"…" Seth struggled to bring the words forth. Not seeing any other way to say it, he stated. "Stay here… Call Matt… tell him to bring you back to S.T.A.R. Labs while I take care of the metas down there with our daughters."
"No, Seth, I'm letting you leave again." Caitlin pleaded.
"I'll be back…" Seth kissed her again. "Back to you. Even if the multiverse is between us, it won't keep me from coming back to you. Running or jumping, whatever I have to do, I will get back to you no matter what." He kissed her again, this time a little longer. "I'm gonna come back again… with our daughters and we're gonna go home, together."
"Promise?" Caitlin asked him.
Immediately he nodded and kissed her. As soon as his lips left hers, he answered her. "I promise you that."
"Go… Get our girls back safely and come back to me." Caitlin stepped back. "But I'm staying here, not moving anywhere. End of discussion."
"Definitely." Seth moved backwards and stood on the ledge. His clothes shifted and turned black, morphing into symbiotic mass that slithered over his entire form and enlarged his form. "We'll be back, Cait." He took the sword in his hand before jumping off the rooftop.
"Go for them… Lethal Protector." Caitlin smiled.
X
Eclipse used her shadowporting, bringing her and her sisters on top of a building, looking down on the fight erupting under them. The three sisters see the remaining police force fighting tooth and nail against the army of evil Earth-2 metahumans.
"Holy crap, it's warzone." Evelyn muttered in shock at the fights.
"Zoom brought this many metas to this Earth?" Ruby added as more than a dozen of officers in SWAT gear fell to the ground because of the metahumans' overwhelming powers.
"Enough for us all to beat down, right?" Frankie smirked challengingly.
"Think you're turning into Dad right now, Frankie." Evelyn smirked and pitched in, stating their father's words from their Earth-2 adventure. "Oh yeah, Dad said we should lean to Mom's side, she's a better role model."
"Seriously?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah, ask Dad." Evelyn frantically nodded.
As if on cue, Venom landed on the rooftop beside his daughters. "Not exactly a good time to chat, girls." He gestured to the mayhem down on the streets.
"Is Mom okay?" Destroyer asked.
"She's far from here, waiting for us to come back." The mutant announced while twirling his sword.
Magenta snarled. "Time to work?"
"Time to work." He agreed and jumped off the rooftop. Destroyer and Magenta followed quickly whilst Eclipse stayed on the rooftop, emanating a shine of both light and darkness, pulling back an arrow on her bow.
Landing on the ground before a group of officers he roared his arrival, drawing the attention of all the different metahumans. One of the metahumans who faced him, thrusted out her hands and hurled an electrical blast at him.
Spinning his sword around, he blocked the lightning blast with his crystal weapon. Flames ignited around his left arm and he charged the metahuman like a bull, swinging his arm for her. She spiraled into a backwards jump, dodging the attack.
The winged metahuman from before returned to the fight, accompanied by another winged metahuman. Both of them were met with a metal railing shooting up to them, wrapping around them both. Magenta clenched her hands, swinging her arms to the side and slammed the winged metahumans into a wall.
Destroyer launched her fist, condensed with gravitational energy, and it collided with the opposing fist of a metahuman who's body is cloaked in a white-ish energy veil. Ruby's fist proved superior, pushing the metahuman through a tree.
Behind the police car they're using as a barrier, Detective Joe and Captain David with their guns close to them watched the four heroes fight the array of metahumans. Arrows imbued with light and darkness rained down on the metahumans, exploding against their bodies, hurling them around. "Bout time they showed up." The captain announced, glad they got superhuman help.
"Yeah. Down!" Joe shouted, pushing his captain down as a greenish energy blast came flying at the car.
"Reloading!" David shouted, reloading his firearm. He looked back up and stopped when he saw a metahuman fly towards them. Coming to a stop he thrusted out his hand, shooting out an energy blast at them.
But a smog of shadows erupted on the hood of the police vehicle, and Eclipse placed her hands together, forming an orb of light between her hands. Thrusting out both hands, she launched the light orb and it collided with the opposing energy blast. The two energy attacks collided, cancelling each other and resulted in an explosion that pushed the flying metahuman back.
Eclipse turned her head around, facing the two officers. "You guys okay?"
"Thanks to you, yeah." David appreciatively nodded.
Joe smiled briefly, gesturing to the battlefield with a nod of his head. "Think you're not done yet, kiddo."
Eclipse nodded and disappeared in a shadow. She appeared in the middle of the ground, surrounded by evil metahumans around her. Unflinchingly she turned her eyes upwards and made eye contact with her father. She nodded, giving her the signal.
Venom accepted and used tendrils to pull Ruby and Frankie out of the way. He jumped off the ground, running up the wall and looked down on the fighting. "Dad what are you doing?"
"Let your sister handle this one." Venom informed.
The three of them watched light and darkness increase inside of Evelyn's body, emanating in waves of shining energy. Before the surrounding metahumans could even move, light discharged from her body like a flashbang. The force of the light pushed them back, making them see the radiant element shoot into the air like a geyser, mixing in with the onyx darkness.
Ruby and Frankie stood paralyzed in shock and surprise by the sight of that pillar of both light and darkness. And focusing on the root of the pillar, they saw their sister in it. "Holy crap…" Ruby muttered when she saw the blackened light split into strands, condensing and forming into a dozen of darkened radiant arrows.
The evil metahumans around her paled in fear and Evelyn made the arrows circle over her head in a ring formation. Her markings intensified, releasing more darkness and light before she lashed out her arms. With a cry, the arrows over her head launched themselves, striking various metahumans around her.
"Evie can do that?!" Unitedly Frankie and Magenta held their head in shock.
"You two aren't the only ones who grow." Venom cheekily reminded them.
"Dad?" Destroyer nudged her father's arm. She raised a hand, pointing to the opposite building… And on the rooftop stood Zoom.
"Stay here, help your sister." Black tendrils shot out the backs of his hands, hooking onto that roof. Pulling on them, he catapulted himself through the air and onto that building. Venom raised to his full height, holding his sword tightly in one hand.
"You… You really, really don't give up. Your entire family." Zoom snarled in rage.
Venom cracked his neck, his tongue slithering out and swiping the air. "You hurt our friends… Our home… Kidnap someone we love! And you expect us to just stand by… No way in hell!" Lightning sparked over his adamantium arms. "You're gonna die now!"
"Bring it on… Venom!" Zoom challenged.
Roaring Venom charged the evil speedster who sped towards him to meet his clash. Zoom tried with all of his might to push him back, but the elemental persevered and grabbed him by his arms. Using his superior strength, he raised him high up in the air and slammed the evil speedster down into the ground.
Raising his sword high up in the air, and turning it around so the sharp end pointed downwards. He drove it down on the ground, aiming for Zoom's head. But the evil speedster vibrated his body, phasing to let the sword pass through his head. Speeding back to his feet, he swung a lightning-cloaked hand for his face.
Jumping backwards into a spin, Seth turned his entire body into adamantium before attaching to the side of a rooftop. Wind and lightning gather around his body, and inside earth strengthens his bones before he catapults off the wall like cannonball.
Zoom barely got the chance to react when the mutant smashed his arm into his body. He felt the adamantium appendage wrap around his chest and his neck, tightening around his body before the mutant forced him down and into the ground, the rooftop surface cracking.
Pinning him down with his hand, Venom let go of his sword and clenched his free hand into a fist, sparking lightning around his fingers. Before Zoom could make another move, he rained down a storm of adamantium impacts on his face. Stopping the assault on his face, Seth took hold of his leg and swung the speedster around before hurling him into the rooftop entrance.
Seth watched the entrance be destroyed as Zoom's body smashed into it, breaking into a million pieces. The elemental took hold of his sword again, plucking it out of the ground and twirled it around. "You're not gonna stop us, Zoom!"
Pushing the debris off his body, Zoom growled in anger. "Venom…"
WHOOSH
Both Venom and Zoom turned their eyes to the side, after a shine of yellow lightning came over their face, and to their surprise they saw the Scarlet Speedster running around, capturing metahumans and bringing them somewhere else. His daughters turned around in confusion as the battlefield was quickly emptied.
Seth smirked. "Nice job, Flash." He turned back to continue his fight with Zoom… But he was gone. "Stupid speedsters." He groaned.
Speedsters are always speeding… away from problems.

(Central City Picture News)
Inside of Central City Picture News Iris wrote her article as she sat at her desk, thinking the words out loud in her head as she typed them on the computer before her.
"Some people are calling it the metapocalypse, the days when Central City was overrun by an army with powers beyond imagination." She looked up, peering through the window at the farthest window from her seat and saw a burning building.
The fire on the highest floor was quickly put out by a flash of yellow lightning. The reporter continued writing her article. "But in these dark times, we must never forget our own strength, our own power to fight back. That it is only in the blackest of nights that we can truly see the light…"
"And know for sure we are not alone." Iris wrote. "We are never… Ever… Alone." She added with a smile.

(S.T.A.R. Labs, The Cortex)
"Mom!" Frankie hugged Caitlin as soon as the entire family returned to S.T.A.R. Labs. The young magnekinetic almost tackled her mother off the chair. Her sisters joined her, wrapping their mother in a four-way hug.
Caitlin smiled. "I missed you girls." She didn't raise her hands to wrap her arms around her daughters for some reason.
Seth noticed this and grew worried, but he kept it off his facial expressions as to not worry his family. "Is she okay?"
"She seems different, Seth. Maybe you should examine her, as a doctor should." The mutant heard his "other" explain.
Agreeing with those words, Seth gently pulled his daughters off his mate. "Girls, give your mother some room, would you? She doesn't need to be hugged to death you know." Caitlin shakily held her hands together, almost silently. Noticing her response, the mutant walked closer to her and crouched in front of her. "Are you okay, Cait?" He cupped her hands.
"I'm… I don't know." She confessed.
"Mom, are you okay?" Evelyn asked in confusion.
"What the hell?!" Seth and the others snapped to the entrance when they heard Olivia shout in shock. The psychic and her husband, along with Cisco, Henry, Harry and Jesse stood at the entrance. "Caity, you're back!" Olivia walked over to the female doctor.
Matt chuckled happily and then saw Seth and his daughters in the Cortex as well. "Oh, hey Seth. Glad you're back." Henry, Harry and Jesse nodded their greetings.
"Geez, really feeling the love here, man." Seth quipped.
"Is Caitlin alright?" Cisco asked ecstatically but with hints of worry still in his voice.
"Not sure." Ruby answered.
Henry turned to Seth and asked. "Want me to help with the examination, Doctor?"
"Sure, Dr. Allen." Seth accepted. He didn't even notice Cisco rushing out of the Cortex. While continuing the examination of his beloved, he felt a finger tap his shoulder. Turning around, he saw his sister looking down at him. "What's up, sis?"
"Not much… But I'm happy you're back, bro." Olivia rubbed his shoulder.
Narrowing his eyes in confusion he gave a shrug. He turned his eyes to his brother-in-law. "Why weren't you out there, Matty? Could have used the firepower."
Scoffing he replied. "Sorry about that. Still dealing with some lightning strike after effects and fighting with a zombie."
Halting his examination, he faced the nanite mutant with a baffled look. "Wait, lightning strike and a zombie what?" Seth rapidly asked.
"Cisco, what are you…" They heard Barry ask the viber as they and Iris walked into the Cortex. "Seth? Caitlin?" The speedster asked.
"Wassup?" Seth joked a greeting like a stoner.
Henry finished his examination of Caitlin and spoke. "She's in shock. A little… Dehydrated, but I think she'll be fine."
"You sure that's all, Henry?" Frankie asked in concern for her mother. "Mom passed out before she was kidnapped."
Caitlin reached out to hold her daughter's hand. "I'm okay, honey. I promise."
"What happened? How did you get away?" Barry asked her before facing Seth. "You and Evelyn came back. When? Why didn't you come to us first?"
"Seth… He and our girls saved me." Caitlin shakily and tearfully told the team, facing her family. "Zoom said he'd let me go, but it was a trap to kill me. I thought I was gonna die."
"Not on my watch." Seth pitched in, holding her hand and kissing the back of it. He looked to Barry. "Zoom said you kicked the bucket. Must have been a lie."
"Not exactly." Matt sheepishly said.
"Sounds like a story." Seth chuckled hollowly.
Barry said. "But I didn't, guys. I'm right here. We're all here, together."
Caitlin inhaled sharply and continued to shiver. "Hey, hey." Seth rose up and hugged her, using his partner's powers to send a wave of emotions into her body to soothe her. "Everything's okay now, Caitlin. I promise."
"Snow." Harry got their attention. "Jay's not here."
"You're safe now, Mom." Ruby tried to comfort her mother.
But suddenly Caitlin shook even more like she was at the epicenter of an earthquake. "He's gonna overrun the city. You can't stop him."
"Trust us, Caitlin." Seth didn't know where this was coming from. But since she was in his captivity for a long time now and was also hanging by his claws on the edge of a building, he wasn't surprised by the state of mind she's in. It's no surprise that she'd doubt everything around her, even her own team.
He was in a similar state of mind after getting out of Stryker's facility where he was experimented.
"We'll stop him and defend our home." Seth told her while he rubbed her hands.
"Yes, we will." Barry agreed with the elemental, surprising everyone on the team. "Seth's right, he's not going to succeed. We've got this. This is our Earth."
"You guys… You guys don't know that." Caitlin countered, still in disbelief and her mind filled with doubt. "You don't know what he is capable of."
Barry added. "I know from being in the Speed Force that the universe is with us, not Zoom." Those words baffled everyone on the team. "And if the universe is with us, how could we possibly lose? Right, guys?" He faced the team.
"Yeah, yeah, right." Jesse spoke for the team.
"What kind of Kool-Aid did you guys pour down his gullet?" The elemental asked the team in shock of his words. "Hold your horses, you were in the Speed Force?" Seth asked in astonishment. He turned to Matt and Olivia. "He was in the Speed Force?"
"Abridged version: We tried to get his powers back, screwed up, he died, he comes back, alive, with powers." Olivia candidly recapped their attempt. Laughing to herself, which made the team raise their eyebrows in worry and slight fear, the psychic then told her brother. "Just realized, bro, you and Barry both died and came back again, so you got that in common."
Seth chuckled at his sister's antics before looking at Barry. "Huh? Welcome to the club, then. Meetings are on Tuesdays; you're bringing donuts to the next one." The speedster chuckled, but he was oddly enough inspired by those words by the Fury siblings. He turned to Caitlin again. "Now, you, Dr. Snow, you've been through a lot. You should get some rest, come on." The mutant lifted her up. She showed a defiant expression, but he countered playfully. "Doctor's orders, Cait."
"Okay." Caitlin nodded.
Their daughters watched their parents walk slowly towards the medbay. Barry smiled happily. "Glad they're together again." He announced before walking away.
Cisco sheepishly said. "Um, we don't think he's being just a little too…"
"Overconfident?" Iris finished off his sentence.
"I was gonna say cocky." Matt admitted.
"Yes, to both." Cisco agreed with the reporter and the nanite mutant.
"Why is he like this?" Evelyn asked, she had to get a full recap from the team and her sisters.
Iris shrugged. "Yeah, maybe it was his time in the Speed Force."
"Could be, yeah." Olivia agreed with Iris. "I mean, he just spent significant time inside of the very source of his power, post-death, and now that he's back, he's acting like he's invincible now."
Henry agreed with them. "Yeah, like nothing fazes him anymore, which isn't-"
"Realistic, no." Harry jumped in.
Matt chuckled and pitched in. "Somebody needs to talk to him before letting his guard down like this gets him killed or something out there."
Jesse added. "He did bring me out of my coma. That's bound to make someone a little overly chipper."
"Well, like I said, somebody needs to talk to him." Harrison repeated.
"Wait a second, didn't you say something about a zombie, Unc?" Frankie asked Matt.
"You missed a shitload, girls." Matt answered.
Ruby's phone rang and she pulled it out and saw that it's her homeroom teacher, Samantha Arias. "Damn it." She said under her breath and walked out of the Cortex, into the room opposite of the room with the special treadmill.
Both Frankie and Evelyn saw their sister walk into the room in the corner of their eyes.
X
Closing the door behind her, Ruby inhaled deeply before accepting the call and placing it on her ear.
"Hey, Mrs. Arias." She greeted her homeroom teacher.
"Hey, Ruby, sorry to call you at this time." Samantha apologized.
"Ah, it's okay." She lied to her teacher, she wanted to check up on her mother instead of having a conversation with her homeroom teacher. Especially because she knew what the topic for the conversation is about…
As they've been talking about it before in school.
Samantha felt the awkwardness through their conversation as she had to bring up the subject again. "So… You've given Mount Helena anymore thought?"
Mount Helena Boarding School… Ruby really didn't like that it kept being brought up.
Sometime before her mother's kidnapping, Samantha Arias had a wave of scouts from different boarding schools, universities and colleges come and visit the school, see potential students they'd want to grab for themselves.
One of them was a prestigious scout from an even more prestigious boarding school, Mount Helena Boarding School, who offered Ruby a martial arts scholarship when she saw the former assassin perform extraordinary acts in P.E, easily surpassing the levels of the other students, even the teacher.
But even though the scout pulled Ruby away after class to talk to her about the scholarship they're offering her, she immediately said no to it. That remark baffled the scout and Samantha in every way possible. Before the scout could get more confused, Samantha convinced them to stay in town for a week so Ruby would have time to think about it and talk with her family.
Sighing out loud, Ruby repeated her answer. "My answer is still the same, Ms. Arias. I'm grateful that Mount Helena wants to offer me a scholarship and all that, I'm really appreciative of that. But… I don't want to be away from my family, so my answer is still no. I'm sorry."
"Had a feeling you'd say that again. One thing you and your sisters have in common is that you're all tough as nails and stubborn." Samantha chuckled. "But I understand, Ruby. It's your choice after all. You've thought this through and reached a decision… And I understand it. Okay, I gotta go, make sure Rueben doesn't burn down the kitchen."
"I should probably pass that on to Frankie if she's gonna date him." Ruby chuckled loudly.
"Trust me, you should definitely do that. I mention your sister's name in the house, Rueben turns into a tomato." Samantha laughs. "Okay, bye Ruby. Say hi to the rest of your family."
"You too, Ms. Arias, bye." Ruby hung up after the call. Looking around, specifically the ceiling, she called out. "Frankie, you can come out now. You too, Evie."
"Seriously?" Frankie exclaimed in shock. She revealed her form on the ceiling where she released herself from it and landed on the ground. "You knew I was there?"
Shadows erupted beside Ruby and Evelyn looked at her sister with a confused look. "You knew I was there too?"
Ruby nodded. "We're sisters, what don't I know about you dweebs?"
Evelyn leant against a cart. "You haven't told Mom or Dad about Mount Helena, have you?" Both her and Frankie were the first ones in the family to hear about Ruby's scholarship. And they're also the first ones to hear Ruby's immediate refusal.
"No, I haven't." The former assassin shook her head. "And I'm not going to cause I'm not going."
Frankie chuckled. "You said no again?"
"You heard it, right?" Ruby sighed and placed her phone in her pocket. "I'm gonna go home, pick up some clothes for Mom. You guys wanna come?"
"Sure." Frankie nodded.
"I'm in." Evelyn knew she had to come as well, providing herself as a transport. Taking hold of her sisters' hands she shadowported them all out of the room and back home.
X
While Caitlin slept in the gurney, Seth kept his hand wrapped around hers, his thumb gently stroking the back of her hand while also sending out waves of soothing emotions. He thought by pouring these through his mate while she's sleeping, she'd be sure to get some pleasant dreams.
Seth's eyes snapped up, feeling Caitlin stir and move closer to his hand, rubbing her face against the back of his hand like it's a pillow. "I missed her so, so much…" He thought to himself.
"We know." For a moment he completely forgot about Venom. "How dare you forget about me, flesh sack!"
"Ha-ha." Seth sent a mockingly mental laugh. "What did you mean about how you knew about how I missed Cait?"
"We spent more time with you than she does, you fool. Everything in that tasty pile of meat you call a brain we know." Venom said with a hungry voice.
"You've got to stop calling my organs tasty." Seth told his partner.
"Give me some chocolate or tater tots, then maybe." Venom demanded.
Rolling his eyes Seth returned his attention to his mate who's still sleeping soundly. "I'm not gonna let anything happen to you ever again, Caitlin… Or die trying." He lowered his lips on her cheek, placing a gentle kiss on her.
"Hey." Olivia got her brother's attention.
"Hey." Seth greeted her and noticed her holding up a pack of donuts, a chocolate bar and a soda. "Think Caitlin's too tired to eat or drink, Liv."
Olivia walked over to him and held out the food items for her big brother. "It's for you, bro."
"Oh, thanks." Seth accepted the box and soda while a tendril snatched the chocolate bar, pulling it into a pocket.
Taking a seat in a chair she said. "Evie told me you hadn't eaten anything for a while, so thought I'd score some brownie points and be an awesome sister by feeding you."
"You definitely scored some." Seth smiled while biting into a doughnut, taking a big bite of the glazed pastry. "Thanks again…" He looked her up and down. "You okay?"
"Fine, why?" Olivia asked.
Shrugging unsurely, he said. "Nothing, you look tired. Oh yeah, thanks for everything you've done for Frankie and Ruby while I was away, again."
"Think it's just this entire mess that happened here, like Barry dying, Jesse getting into a coma, Wally and Frankie getting hit by a dark matter wave." Olivia announced.
Snapping his head in her direction Seth asked for clarification. "Frankie was hit by a dark matter wave?"
"Yeah, you might have to give her a checkup later, but she's fine so far. I mean, heck, she went out fighting like crazy." Olivia told her brother.
"That's our girl alright." Seth said with a smile to his mate.
"Hey." The Fury siblings looked up to see Barry and Cisco walk into the medbay. The speedster nodded to the female doctor. "She's out like a light, huh?"
"Yeah." Seth nodded. "I know I wasn't here when Jay was here, as your friend, but he really did a number on Cait."
Cisco added. "It's not like he exactly used kid gloves on the rest of us."
"He's not gonna get away with it." Olivia tapped her brother's back with her foot.
"Caitlin will be okay. She just needs time." Barry confidently said. "And for us to finally bring Zoom down. Which we will."
"Confident, huh?" Seth chuckled. "Death really changes you, huh, Barr?"
At those words, Barry swung his head to the elemental and inquired. "Hey about that… Seth, can I ask you something?"
"Shoot." Seth answered.
"The day that you… That you fought Carnage in the city… You were stabbed through the heart." Seth and Olivia turned surprised by his sentence, facing him with narrowed eyes with confusion. "And Matt said… you… You died back then."
"All true, more or less… But I'm still waiting for the question part of your sentence." Seth stated.
With a strangely confident expression on his face, Barry asked. "What happened when you died?" That question definitely made Seth direct all of his attention to him. "When I died in the Breach Room, I… I was in the Speed Force and saw people from my life. My Mom, my Dad, Joe, Iris… Even you."
"That's a turnabout, going through from your family- families." Seth corrected himself. "And then… to me?" He slowly said, gesturing to himself in confusion. "Why did you think they showed you those specific people?"
"I don't know. It sorta weirded me out when the Speed Force showed me you in there." Barry admitted. "But what did you… what happened before you returned?"
"Only took an entire year before you guys finally popped that question, huh?" Seth laughed. But the seriousness of the question dawned on him and he answered. "…After Carnage stabbed me through the heart… I was on a beach."
That statement made the others widen their eyes and raise their eyebrows in shock. Seth continued. "Yeah, one second I'm a deathmatch with my worst enemy. Next thing I know, I'm literally standing on the tropical island of Hawaii."
"Hawaii?" Olivia jumped in. "You mean…?"
"Yeah, the one and only place that Bucky, Stef and I traveled to for vacations and such… The place where I proposed to Stef." Seth told his sister softly. "It was… weird. It was exactly like it was back when I used to visit the island. Took a while to figure out what the place was since I hadn't been there in months."
"But…" Barry pitched in, garnering their attention again. "Did… Did you see anyone there? In Hawaii?"
"… I saw Stef again… and I saw my son, Bucky again…" Seth smiled happily at that memory of being able to see those two again, especially after he held their bodies after Carnage murdered them. "Don't know why or how, but I… I managed to see them again and they told me it was time to… stop blaming myself for their deaths. Telling me to stop thinking back to their deaths and start fighting again… stop giving up… Stef was basically telling me to get off my ass and become the Lethal Protector again."
"You really saw Bucky again?" Olivia asked and Seth nodded. Tears fell from the psychic's eyes as she remembered her little baby nephew. "God, I miss that little Goofball."
"Yeah, remember how he used to make sand balls?" Seth asked, struggling to not laugh at the fond memory. Olivia nodded and covered her mouth as she laughed herself. "When I saw him there, I was assaulted by sand balls."
"You know what that place was?" Barry curiously asked.
"No idea… But I can't say I wasn't happy to see them again, and it felt so damn real." Seth smiled. But he got curious himself and asked Barry. "But why the sudden interest Barry? Wanna compare notes over a cup of Jitters' coffee?"
"No, that's not why, man." Barry shook his head. "Just curious, man."
Cisco laughed. "Weird to be interested in that, Barr-" The viber stopped abruptly, his mouth agape and a series of flashing lights brought him another vibe.
X
Cisco found himself outside in a city… standing on the street in front of a building…
…
He looked around, taking in the environment…
…
His ears perked up when he heard a fluttering sound, followed by a small… thud…
…
Turning his eyes downwards, Cisco narrowed his eyes in confusion at the sight of a…
…
Small black and white bird on the asphalt…
X
Cisco gasped as he returned from the vibe and stood paralyzed like a statue. Seth and his sister shared a look. "Cisco?" The elemental called him but didn't get any response.
"Hey, Cisco?" Olivia tried as well.
Seth clapped loudly, shocking Cisco out of his trance. "Yo, you okay?"
Barry looked at him. "You just vibe?" He asked.
"Yeah." Cisco nodded.
"Still getting used to you doing that." Seth admitted while scratching the back of his neck. "Any case, what did you see?"
Closing his mouth, Cisco inhaled and answered. "I saw a bird. Like, a dead bird."
"That's… surprisingly emo." Olivia noted.
The computers chimed inside of the Cortex, making the metahumans run into it. Seth got up from his chair but was conflicted as he didn't want to leave Caitlin. Seeing the mental dispute on her brother's face, Olivia said. "Bro, go. I'll stay and watch Caity."
Smiling happily at her suggestion, Seth leant forward and kissed his sister's forehead. "Thanks, sis. Call me when she wakes up." She nodded before he walked out and into the Cortex. "What's going on?" His sword slithered out of his partner's pocket dimension.
"It's Mercury Labs." Barry looked at the monitor with a map of the city.
"It's under attack." Cisco said.
"Matt's close by, let's help him." Seth told the speedster who nodded.
"Alright."
WHOOSH
Barry sped into his suit before picking up Seth and running off to Mercury Labs.

(Mercury Labs)
The Flash stopped in front of Mercury Labs, dropping off Seth, who's form instantly became enveloped with the symbiote and Venom turned his eyes on the crumbling building. Hovering over their heads, Iron Knight made his presence known.
"What's the plan?" Barry asked.
A piece of the building flew towards them and Seth flexed an arm, turning it into adamantium before lashing it out. With his claws outstretched, he swung his adamantium appendage like a whip and smashed the piece of the facility. "Run, get everyone out of there. We'll take care of the pieces that might hit civilians." Venom stated while retracting his arm.
"Go for it, Flash." Iron Knight formed cannons around his repulsors, the extra firepower with them equipped is gonna be needed.
"Alright. Good luck!" The Flash sped into the building.
"Time to work!" Venom jumped forward, raising his crystal sword high before swinging it down on a pillar that came flying towards them. When more came their way, he used some of them as platforms and shot out tendrils from his back, enhancing their penetration abilities by turning them into adamantium.
Jumping off the pieces and spinning in the air, he swung his sword and cut the other incoming pieces into pieces. Grabbing onto another big piece he threw it into a wave of other pieces, crushing them into dust. Flames erupted around his left arm and he hammered it into a huge chunk of concrete, breaking it into pieces and sending them flying. While smashing the pieces left and right with his fists, he alternated between slashing with his sword and punching with elemental strikes.
Matt flew over the other mutant's head, raising his cannons and shooting repulsor blasts at every piece of the building flying at them. He rapidly switched between cannons and also fired off missiles from his shoulders. But what did hit him was an office chair, hurtling the nanite mutant to the ground.
"OW!" Matt said in pain as he skipped on the ground like a skipping stone. He lifted him up and saw the office chair. "Oh, come on! A chair?! Really?!"
Seth landed on the ground beside him and laughed like a hyena. "Were you really just hit by a chair? That's pathetic."
"Screw you, parasitic asshole." Iron Knight countered while getting back up.
Venom punched his helmet with an adamantium fist. "Go to hell, scrap head."
The two mutants turned their eyes back to the crumbling building, seeing it fall to pieces before them. Before it completely crumbled The Flash sped out of the facility and stood between the mutants with Dr. Christina McGee. Everyone, the employees of Mercury Labs and their CEO, along with the three heroes watched the facility fall into pieces.
"Thank you, Mr. Allen. As well as you two, Mr. Stark and Mr. Fury." Tina expressed in gratitude with a look between the three heroes. All three of the powered beings snapped their eyes to her in shock. Christina sighed and confessed. "I'm not stupid."
"So much for secret identities, huh?" Matt mused to his brother-in-law.
"No kidding." Venom scoffed.
From behind the large mass, Black Siren revealed herself, making sure she's not within Venom's eyesight. "Boom." She walked away from the crowd. The cryer made eye contact with the floating evil telekinetic that's above a lamp in a cross-legged position. "You could have helped, you know."
Orion grunted in retaliation, the stitches keeping him from talking and he was more than happy with that.

(S.T.A.R. Labs)
After opening her eyes Caitlin inhaled deeply and got up. She looked around and saw that she's still S.T.A.R. Labs' medbay. Parts of her expected to find herself at home in bed with Seth sleeping soundly beside her. Now everything inside of her hated that that was only a dream.
"Hey." Olivia got her attention. "Don't worry, you didn't snore that much."
"Ha-ha." Caitlin turned around in the bed and faced the psychic. "I don't snore. Your brother told me that."
"Sure about that? He loves you, remember? He might just keep a thing or two under wraps, you know." Olivia shared a laugh with the native doctor. "How are you, Cait? You seem…" She struggled to find the right words.
"Hurt? Distraught? Distressed? Tortured?" Caitlin wondered with a series of suggestions. "All of the above?"
"Maybe." Olivia chuckled sheepishly.
"Just… I'm sorry. It's just because of… Zoom held me captive and all." Caitlin gulped. "It was horrifying."
Olivia got up from the chair and took a seat beside her. "I know that feeling. Remember you know three mutants who were kidnapped by an evil military sector who experimented on us for an entire torturous year."
"I was gone for a short time, nothing compared to an entire year, Liv." Replied Caitlin, feeling bad about her experience being compared to her hellish experience.
"Kidnapping's kidnapping, Caity." Olivia said, knowing what's going on in the doctor's mind, even though she couldn't listen to her thoughts. "Don't compare our experiences. One year or a month, or even a single day, each of them are equally traumatic." Caitlin smiled at her words, happy that she was aiding her. "You wanna talk about it?"
"Not now, okay?" Caitlin asked.
Nodding her agreement, Olivia said. "Take your time, Caity. Or talk to Seth, he's waiting for you to speak again." Caitlin blushed like a tomato. "Oh yeah." She reached down and pulled up a bag. "Ruby and the girls went home for a bit, picked you up some clothes."
"They're blessings." Said a happy Caitlin, speaking like a proud mother.
"Oh yeah." Olivia laughed and turned her head to the side, seeing the male heroes entering the Cortex with Christina McGee.
Both the psychic and the doctor noticed the heroes without their masks or helmets. Caitlin widened her eyes. "Why are they speaking to my old boss, and without their masks?"
"Boys really can't keep a secret, can they?" Quipped the psychic.
X
Inside of the Cortex, standing with Henry and Cisco, the male heroes looked at Christina who looked around to take in the S.T.A.R. Labs.
"So, I think it's time to pop the big question." Seth started off, looking at Tina. "How did you know about us, Dr. McGee?"
"You're referring to your real identities, correct, Dr. Fury?" Christina asked.
"Yeah, that." Matt answered for the fellow mutant.
"Come on, boys, I'm a scientist." Christina reminded them in hurt. "We're paid to be perceptive." That hasn't been the mutants' experience. "And three of you, as well as Dr. Snow, have always revealed themselves to be a little too well informed when things go pear-shaped in this city."
"Which happens at least six times a week." Seth pitched in.
Christina faced the elemental. "It is a pleasure to see you again, Dr. Fury. I met your daughter occasionally when Dr. Snow was under my employment. She's a wonder."
"Got two more. Caitlin and I would love for you to meet them." Seth said.
Nodding her acceptance, Christina turned to Henry. "I don't believe we've ever met before. Dr. Christina McGee." She held out a hand for him.
"Doctor Henry Allen." Henry introduced himself. "I'm Barry's father."
Having changed into a gray shirt and a blue hoodie and green jeans, Caitlin walked into the Cortex with the psychic. She made a beeline to the elemental. "Hey, you."
Snapping towards the sound of her voice, the corners of Seth's mouth lifted up and formed a wide smile. "Hey, you're up." He hugged her and quickly kissed her. Once dislodging, he asked. "You okay now?"
"Maybe." She cheekily said. "Maybe another one of those will help me a bit." Seth chuckled and kissed her again, this time deeper and longer.
Barry returned to the matter at hand. "Okay, now that the cat's out of the bag, did you happen to see who it was that caused your building to collapse?"
Tina shook her head. "I didn't see anything. It happened so fast."
Having detached from the mutant, Caitlin suggested. "Maybe the security cameras caught something?"
"Good idea." Seth agreed with that.
Henry looked to Christina. "Can we access them?"
Everyone hoped the elder Allen member would be able to convince her to give them access. Christina appeared convinced. "Mercury Labs does have a Crash-Survivable Memory Unit."
"Say what?" Olivia asked, question marks popping up over head like crazy.
"A what?" Henry asked, same question marks showing up over his head.
"In layman's terms, it is a black box for buildings." Jarvis shocked everyone in the Cortex as he suddenly pitched in. "This specific black box will have stored all security footage right up till the building's demise."
"Who or what is that?" Christina asked, looking around to find the source of that mechanic British voice.
"That is Jarvis, an AI that my father programmed, which I've brought along." Matt answered.
"Remarkable." Christina berated herself for not having snatched up Matt and Seth before. "What does Jarvis stand for, if I may ask?"
"JARVIS is an acronym for "Just A Rather Very Intelligent System."" The AI explained.
Caitlin raised an eyebrow, looking at Seth confusedly. "Really? That's what his name stands for?"
"Apparently so, yeah. Matt's grandpa, Howard Stark, had a butler called Jarvis, so… They made a virtual AI with the same name, equally as dependable." He explained. Seth looked to Barry. "Barr, think you can find that black box, maybe?"
"Yeah, it shouldn't be hard." Barry agreed.
"Awesome. This wasn't some random metahuman attack, in my opinion." Seth started. "Whenever Mercury Labs has been attacked or targeted before it's usually because of a specific reason."
"Yeah, someone's after something." Cisco said.
Caitlin nodded. "Yes, and that someone is probably Zoom."
"Or maybe to show power." Olivia suggested. "If Zoom has a meta on his side who can tear down an entire building alone, it'd be enough to scare everyone to piss their pants off."
"There may be one more possibility." Tina got everyone's attention. "A few months ago, I saw Harrison Wells running out of my facility." Everyone on the team shared a look, the Mercury Labs director's entering troublesome territories. "I know it sounds crazy, but I'm certain it was him. Is there any way he could have anything to do with this?"
"Oh boy." Seth rubbed his eyes.
"A few months ago?" Harry jumped in from the entrance to the Cortex with a mug of coffee in hand. Christina gaped her mouth in astonishment. "Sure. Now?" He shook his head with a smirk. "No."
The elemental coughed sheepishly, clearing his throat before admitting. "Yeah, believe it or not, Dr. McGee, we have a few more things that we should probably bring you up to speed on."
"Seth?" Caitlin shook his hand. "Where're the girls? They're home again?"
"No, they're out in the city, patrolling together." Seth answered.
X
In the city, a couple went out for a late night stroll through an alleyway. Even though the city is in a bad shape to say the least, it didn't prevent them from having a date night at their favorite restaurant. But that was a bad choice as a man in a dark green army coat rushed from behind them, snatching the woman's purse.
"Hey, my purse!" She called out.
But the purse snatcher didn't react and continued running. However, it was short lived when a silver Chevrolet Camaro stopped in front of him and made him run into it.
The door opened up and Wally West jumped out of the silver vehicle. Briefly making eye contact with the thief, the driver chased him when he tried to run away. But the purse snatched was tackled to the ground, making him release his hold on the purse and send it gliding on the ground.
Wally got up on his feet, standing over the thief confidently. "That ain't yours, punk."
Chuckling the thief returned to his feet. "Big mistake. You picked a bad time to play hero."
Temporarily confused by his words, Wally saw the thief reveal his true colors, emanating mist-like grey aura from his hands and his eyes shining with the same grey light. The former street racer stepped back in fear.
"Not a chance!"
Magenta's cry echoed, bouncing off the walls as she leaped off the building top and hit the back of the metahuman's head with a mallet, sending him down to the ground with a grunt. Landing on the ground beside his downed form, Frankie looked in the direction of the other end of the alley. "Now, Detective!"
Joe pulled the trigger of the B.O.O.T, shooting the weaponized collar and wrapped it around the evil metahuman's throat. Electricity coursed through the man's body, knocking him out and neutralizing his powers.
"Dad?" Wally noticed his father's presence.
While waving over his officers, Joe looked to Magenta. "Nice job, Magenta." The magnekinetic gave a thumbs up while the officers came to pick up the collared thief. The detective turned to his son with disbelief. "Wally. What the hell were you doing?"
Wally gestured to the thief's area of impact. "That guy just jacked a bunch of people, so I had to go after him."
"You could have got yourself killed!" Joe chastised his son.
"I'm not just gonna let these guys get away with this. I have to do something." Wally countered.
"Unfortunately, it's not that simple, Wally." Magenta said.
"Exactly!" Joe agreed with the magnekinetic. "Wally, these are not just guys! These are metahumans! We have heroes here! We have cops! Leave this to them."
"They can't be everywhere at once!" Wally argued with his father. "I- I have to do what I can to help. I have to show The Flash I was worth being saved."
"Oh crap." Magenta told her host with a mental gulp.
"Yikes, the drama in West family runs deep." Frankie replied to her partner.
"Wally…" Joe stepped closer to his son; his hand raised over his chest. "You are… worth it."
"Really? Am I?" Wally scoffed. "Cause last time I checked, I'm the guy who avoided his dying mother for weeks. I'm the guy who shamed a bunch of other guys and illegally took their cars from them. I'm the guy who caused The Flash to lose his powers and start this damn "metapocalypse" in the first place! I'm the guy who was held hostage by Zoom, so even Venom and Iron Knight couldn't do squat to stop him even at point blank!"
"Wally-"
"Last time I checked," Wally cut his father off. "I've a whole lot to make up for. That's what I intend to do." He walked away, returning to his vehicle.
"Damn it." Joe muttered to himself.
As soon as Wally entered his car and drove away, Frankie faced her uncle and her mask slithered off her face. "You okay, Uncle Joe?"
"Don't know what to do with him if he's gonna dive head-first into danger." Joe ran his hand over his head.
Frankie shrugged her shoulders. "Sounds like another one of your kids, if you ask me."
"Yeah, all of them have wanna jump in front of danger, wanna solve it and all in every way they can." Joe sighed.
"Think in Wally's situation, it's more like redemption. He wants to make up for his mistakes." Frankie told him. "Maybe… Give him a better talk. You had Dad do that before with Iris, right? Maybe he can give your son a talk like that."
The detective gave him a look. "So, you're literally telling me to get your old man to try and scare another of my children, even though the first one didn't work out in any way?"
"Well… Yeah." Frankie's face became enveloped by the symbiotic mass. "But doubt Wally's as tough as Iris, no offense. Try it, maybe. I'm gonna go and check on my Mom. She's awake and she and Dad are gonna test me."
"Alright, good idea. I'm gonna check out the city again. If anything happens, I'll call your sisters and your father." Joe said.
Magenta nodded and jumped onto the wall, running up the hard surface and jumped into the air.

(S.T.A.R. Labs)
"Really think this is unnecessary, Dad?" Frankie whined to her father who took a sample of her blood.
Finding the amount of blood sufficient, Seth pulled out the collection tube out of the safety needle. A tendril took the vial out of his hand and held it in the air, allowing the mutant to apply the medical tape over the point of extraction.
"Honey, you were hit by a second blast of dark matter, I'm not comfortable with that news." He told his daughter while moving to the computer.
"Neither am I, Frankie, so just let us do this, okay?" Caitlin told her daughter while examining Jesse who remained worriedly and cautiously patient for the doctor's conclusion.
"Fine." Frankie pouted.
Seeing the pout on his daughter's face, Seth used another tendril to open a drawer. Both Frankie and Caitlin saw the tendril search through the cabinet. Its search stopped when it came out of the drawer, wrapped around a chocolate bar. "Here you go. Beats a lollipop, right?" He joked while handing her the candy bar.
"Thanks Dad." Frankie smiled as she accepted the blood.
Seth plugged the blood vial into the blood analyzer and started the machine. "Hopefully, it shows nothing on this analysis." He hoped out loud.
"According to Liv and Matt and the others, it doesn't look like Frankie's been acting in any way that suggests she's been affected by this second dosage of dark matter." Caitlin unwrapped the blood pressure monitor from Jesse's arm. "So maybe we're being overprotective and overreacting."
Seth turned around and looked at his mate. "So, you're saying we're finally turning into normal parents? Oh, that's bad. That's really, really bad." He quipped and Caitlin laughed with him.
"Last thing I ever expected to hear Dad say is "normal."" Frankie added.
"Snow. Fury." Harry shocked them with his sudden presence.
"Oh." Caitlin let out in surprise. "I didn't know you were here."
"Is knocking not a thing on your Earth, Wells?" Seth asked.
"No, knocking's for wussies." The Earth-2 scientist bluntly countered. "What you doing?" He directed to Caitlin.
"Uh… While Seth's checking on Frankie, Jesse asked me to run some tests to see if her genetic structure had changed." Caitlin said and noticed Jesse shaking her head repeatedly as she spoke.
Harry looked at his daughter, sending a questioning look. "Why did you ask Dr. Snow… to run tests on you again?"
"Because I got hit with a dark matter, okay. I mean, that must have affected me somehow." Jesse answered her father.
Caitlin knew that a heavy conversation was incoming, and she chose to extract herself from the situation and walked over to her mate who continued to wait for the machine to reach a conclusion. Harry walked over to his daughter's gurney and assured her.
"You're not a metahuman." Harry started, startling everyone else in the room. "What you are is a young woman with a genius-level IQ that we could use in our fight against this new wave of metahumans."
"Okay." Jesse smiled. "All right, fine."
"Fine." Harry said back.
The blood analyzer beeped in front of Seth and Caitlin. The mutant sighed. "Cross your fingers."
Caitlin chuckled and opened the results, displaying them on the small screen on the machine. Both of them watched their daughter's DNA sequence display on the screen. Leaning closer to the screen, the female doctor examined the sequence. "Okay looks like it does show an increased level of dark matter in her cells, but…"
Examining the sequence himself Seth added. "Yeah, looks like it's only an increase but not much, though. It's still pretty much the same as before."
Looking over her shoulder to face her daughter who heard her parents audibly examine her blood, Caitlin asked. "And Frankie, you really don't feel any different? No headaches, strange sensations of pain or maybe other physical signs that your body's exhibiting?"
"Mom, I think you're a little late to the puberty talk. I have the Internet." She quipped her counter.
"Okay, that's it I'm putting parent locks on the internet." Seth adamantly stated.
Caitlin rolled her eyes and turned around. "Think that's too-"
Her eyes caught sight of Zoom in the window and gasped sharply, almost emanating a scream of terror. She feared even to blink, and all color drained from her face.
That gasp alone made the mutant snap around, facing the same direction as her, shooting out ice-bladed and adamantium tendrils from his back and clenched his fists, igniting flames and sparking lightning around his hands. Frankie formed blades on her arms and faced the same direction as her parents.
But neither of the symbiote bearers saw anything out of the ordinary, nothing of the sort which would make the female doctor scream in terror. Seth turned around to face Caitlin and saw her still petrifying in fear. "Cait?" He got her out of her trance. He placed his hands on her arms, rubbing them by running his hands up and down on them. "You all right?"
Reforming her arms again, Frankie walked over to her parents. "Mom, are you okay?"
Lightly nodding her head, Caitlin replied, trying to assure her family. "Yeah, I'm fine, don't worry, guys."
At that moment, both Frankie and Seth wondered if she forgot that they're hosts to symbiotic lie detectors. But Seth sent a look to their daughter, wordlessly telling her to not pressure her mother into confessing.
Returning his attention to Caitlin, he said. "Okay, good." He hugged her and used Venom's powers to send calming emotions into her through their hug.
But Caitlin looked over Seth's shoulder, peering into the direction of where she saw Zoom. And was thanking every single good thing and even the high heavens that she wasn't seeing Zoom anymore in the glass. She was thankful that it was her mind playing tricks on her…
Her broken mind…
X
Matt, Cisco and Henry worked together with Christina McGee by the main console. Though the others worked on trying to figure out what happened to the Mercury Labs facility, the nanite mutant worked on keeping an eye on his two nieces out in the city.
Olivia walked into the Cortex and looked at her husband. "Hey honey."
"Hey babe, you okay?" Matt looked up from the screen.
"Fine as wine." Olivia joked. "How're the girls out there?"
"Frankie's getting checked out by both Seth and Caitlin, finally. Ruby and Evie are still out there. Thankfully, they haven't gotten into any problems yet aside from an occasional assist with the police." The nanite mutant replied.
"Good." Olivia looked around in search. "Where's Barry?"
Matt opened his mouth. "He's-"
WHOOSH
He was cut short when the Scarlet Speedster ran into the Cortex, appearing before their eyes with a rectangular metal box with two big yellow stripes. "Is this it?" He asked Christina.
"That's the one." She confirmed.
"All right, great." He walked over to them, handing the box to Christina. "Dad, Dr. McGee, Cisco, Matt. Why don't you guys crack this open, see what you can find?"
"Sure." Cisco answered.
Joining with his daughter, Harry walked into the Cortex with the two doctors and their magnekinetic daughter. Harrison nodded. "We'll go see what kind of metahuman powers can take down a building like that and how to stop it."
"Great." Barry nodded, walking around the console.
"Sounds like fun." Jesse admitted ad.
Caitlin took Seth's hand and got his attention. "Think you can go out and check on the girls, see if they need a hand?"
"Definitely." Seth agreed and she smiled before kissing him on the lips. Caitlin walked away and the mutant looked to his sister who saw his questioning look and approached him.
"What's up?" Olivia asked.
Seth made sure his mate was out of earshot before whispering his request. "Keep an eye on Cait for me, would you? She's been… She gasped in fear back in the room before. I'm worried about her."
Hearing his words, Olivia reminded him. "Another thing you guys have in common is you've both been kidnapped. It took us a while to get used to being back to our normal lives after you and Dad got us out of Stryker's facility, Seth… Give her some time and she'll come to you when she's ready to talk. Trust me on that."
"I know…" Seth gave his mate a look. "But I'm just worried about her."
Groaning in annoyance, Olivia stated. "Fine, alright. I'm gonna keep an eye on Caity."
"Thanks, sis." Seth chuckled, confusing his little sister. "When this mess is over, and we have some time together, how about we buy some ice cream like we used to as kids?"
Olivia's eyes lit up like Christmas trees at that suggestion. "Hells yeah! We haven't done that in ages. Would be cool."
"Nice to know." Seth patted his sister's shoulder and turned around. "Frankie, stay here with your Mom."
"Alright." She nodded while eating the chocolate bar.
Barry then announced his plan. "I'm gonna go see if Joe needs any help in the streets. Everybody cool here? Should be a piece of cake, right?" He walked out of the Cortex with a wide smile on his face.
"My God, this guy dies once and returns and suddenly it's like he's invincible." Seth stated his annoyance. He walked after him.
"Seth, wait." Henry stopped him. "Come with me, we might have to talk to Barry."
"Great, I have to parent a kid that's not even mine." Seth complained and followed Henry into the hallway.
"Hey, slugger!" Henry called out to his son.
"Speed-Freak, wait!" Seth called out to him.
Barry turned around, facing the two. "Hey."
"Mind if we talk to you for a minute?" Henry asked, although Seth didn't have the foggiest idea as to why he was involved.
"Yeah, sure." Barry accepted. "What's up?"
"It's about your… attitude." Seth sheepishly said.
Henry nodded his agreement, following up. "We know you said that what happened to you in the Speed Force changed the way you see things, but you seem very optimistic, you know, with a lot of metahumans running around tearing up the city."
"Yeah, no kidding, you've turned cocky." Seth bluntly said, Henry giving him a stern look in retaliation. The elemental continued. "But seriously, what did you see in there? The future?"
"No… um… Not this time." Barry shook his head.
"Say what?" Seth asked.
"No… I… Look…" Barry then said. "What I was shown in the Speed Force didn't just change my mind, it changed me. I don't know… what you're seeing as optimism or overconfident, cocky… is, for the first time, I'm just not afraid anymore."
"Yeah, that's just stupid." Seth countered immediately.
Henry elbowed the mutant and continued speaking to his son. "Great, that's… But… You know you still have to be careful, right?"
"What do you mean?" Barry narrowed his eyes.
"Think you're smart enough to know what that means, Barr." Seth said.
"I don't…" Barry scoffed in disbelief, turning around and moved towards the elevator while speaking. "Why are you guys trying to take something from me that I fought so hard to get to?"
"Barry!" Henry tried to stop his son.
Seth decided to stand back from this conversation.
"I… You… You don't know everything that I've been through, Dad." Barry countered. "You haven't been here long enough to know."
"Hey!" Seth shouted.
Temporarily shocked and scared of the mutant's shout, Barry realized his mistake and expressed to his visibly hurt father. "I didn't mean… I'm sorry. I don't know why I said that."
"I think I do." Henry started. "Hadn't been around. Teach you how to drive or take you to look at colleges." Seth knew that Joe had to be the one to take up those responsibilities when Barry became of age. "But I've done everything in my power to know who you are. Barry, I don't want to take anything from you. I believe in you. This isn't about my not believing in you."
"I know that." Barry nodded. "And I'm fine. Okay?" Henry leant his head forward with an examining look. "Thank you, thank you very much for worrying about me." He placed a hand on his father's shoulder. "I love you. But I'm fine." He told him.
"Henry, mind leaving the two of us for a second?" Seth asked of the former prisoner who nodded his acceptance and walked away. Assured that he was out of hearing distance, the mutant faced the speedster.
"You gonna bite my head off or something?" Barry asked.
Seth shook his head. "Maybe you're fine, Barry, but it's not the right kind of "fine."" He confessed, making Barry narrow his eyes with confusion. "You're fine, but overly fine. You just said you're not scared of anything… That's your mistake."
"How so?" Barry crossed his arms.
"Fear… Being scared… That's a must in the field… Because that keeps guys like us, hell even guys like Joe alive out there when we wear our suits, emblems or badges. Being scared gives you a line that you never cross." Seth stated. "Crossing it, means you become someone who's confident, overconfident, downright cocky which ends up with you making mistakes… And you won't be able to repeat them cause you're gonna be dead."
"That won't happen." Barry confidently stated.
The mutant noted his confidence. "Forgive me for doubting you, but overconfidence, that sense of no fear tends to lead to that end." Replied Seth.
Despite the fact that this speedster was the reason behind his abrupt and unexpected visit to Earth-2, Seth didn't want to see a friend of his die because he was becoming cocky. A visit into the very source of his metahuman powers, his speed, The Speed Force itself… He couldn't even imagine what that's like no matter how much he tried to. But it did bring Barry's speed back and gave him back what made him whole…
Seth just hoped now that his powers have been brought back, Barry wouldn't do anything reckless and do something that could cost him his powers again.
The alarms over their heads blared loudly, getting their attention.
"Never a dull moment in here." Seth waved the metahuman over. "Come on, let's check things out." He had the speedster follow him, both running back towards the Cortex. They rushed into the room and were immediately shell-shocked by the monitor showing live footage.
"What the hell is that?" Seth asked the team as they all looked at the image of a flaming lightning bolt on the side of a building.
Olivia faced her brother. "It's CCPD."
Barry deduced instantly. "Zoom."
"Barry. Don't do it." Henry sternly told his son.
WHOOSH
But his words fell on deaf ears and immediately ran out of the facility.
"Dad?" Frankie called her father whose form was slowly being enveloped by the symbiotic mass.
"Frankie, with us! Matty come with!" Venom said before jumping out of the skylight. Iron Knight and Magenta followed.
X
Not even an instant later, Barry ran into CCPD and came to a stop in front of his CSI lab. He sent a glare to the evil speedster who examined the board with photos from his mother's crime scene.
Knowing the Scarlet Speedster is behind him, Hunter stated. "You know, I never saw the crime photos of my mother's murder." He twisted his head. "Well, I guess I didn't need to. I have a ringside seat while you got whisked away. Too delicate, I suppose." He turned his head to meet Barry's eyes.
Inwardly Hunter was glad that Seth wasn't there with him. Some of his bones are still hurting inside of his body. And while still healing, he doubted he'd be able to survive another onslaught from Venom.
"Not hiding anymore, are you, Flash?" Hunter chuckled. Barry showed a defiant glare. "Interesting."
Determinedly Barry shook his head. "I know you didn't call me up here just to banter. Let's finish this. Right now."
"Actually, I did." Hunter confessed. "I called you up here to tell you, you can't keep running from one meta to the next. That your friends, not even Seth can just jump around the city and try and save whomever they can. Around and around, like dogs chasing their own tails."
"Me… Seth… our team… We'll do whatever it takes to stop you." Barry stated resolutely, walking around his CSI lab.
"If only that were good enough. Cause here's the thing." Hunter said. "I know you, Barry. I know you; I know what's holding you back. You and me…" He looked to the board beside him. "We're really just the same person."
Barry scoffed humorlessly. "Yeah, you keep saying that, but it's not gonna make it true."
"You'll see. We are." Zoom said. Grazing the article of Nora Allen's murder with his claws, he said. "Same tragic background. Same desire to be the fastest, to be the best." He stepped closer towards him. "The difference?" Barry listened. "You think your anger is dirty somehow. You want to be seen as pure, the hero. Doesn't it get exhausting? Doesn't it get exhausting, Barry?! It was exhausting playing Jay, believe me. Seth's not like that. He doesn't care what he's seen as, demon or hero, even as a villain and he uses his anger, his darkness as a weapon."
"Yeah, I know Seth's like that. And unlike you when you were Jay, I'm not pretending." Barry affirmed. Lightning crackled over his form, ready to move into action but stopped when he heard and saw the building outside of the precinct was shaking and rumbling.
Pointing to the building, Hunter carelessly said. "Now if it were me, I'd let that building tumble without a second thought. But you, you'll never let that happen, will you? You and your friends would rather let a villain run away, giving him another chance to destroy the city, than let a single innocent person die. That's why I'm gonna beat you and your team, Barry. Because you, your team, you always have to be the hero." Barry watched the building, seeing it crack and rumble. His eyes caught sight of Venom and his daughters and his brother-in-law jumping into the crumbling building.
"And while you're playing the good little boy…" Hunter smirked. "I'll be busy winning."
Inhaling sharply in anger, Barry ran out of the police precinct and aided the other heroes in saving everyone from the building.

(S.T.A.R. Labs)
Returning to S.T.A.R. Labs, the team walked around in the Cortex. Seth and his family managed to save most of the citizens in the crumbling building near the police precinct, the last ones Barry had to speed into to rescue. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but unfortunately a lot of people lost their home.
"We have to stop Zoom now." Seth said, seething with anger and rage, his hands turning white as he clenched them. "Otherwise, another building's gonna be destroyed."
"Seth's right." Barry agreed.
Cisco widened his eyes with inspiration. "Maybe Evelyn could use that arrow trick she used before. We gotta have a name for that."
"Arrow trick?" Matt asked, looking at his niece and her father for answers.
Seth chuckled. "During my second visit to Earth-2, Evie showed a nice neat attack, and she can shoot a storm of arrows in any direction she desires."
Evelyn's eyes lit up. "Arrow Storm! That's a cool name."
Nodding his approval, after he thought it over, Cisco agreed. "I'll allow it."
Ruby looked in his direction. "She didn't ask for it." Cisco felt like crying right now.
Harrison directed to the elemental and the speedster. "How do you propose we do that with an army of metahumans laying waste to Central City? We couldn't stop Zoom on my Earth. What makes us different?"
"We're a team." Barry said.
"Mind going a little further than that?" Ruby said.
Sighing Barry continued. "We start with the metahumans, they're his armor."
Olivia nodded. "Not the worst idea. Without an armor, Zoom's gonna be vulnerable."
"Even the biggest tyrants are nothing more than men without the protection of their fortress." Matt added.
But then Caitlin jumped in, offering her own opinion. "But we don't even know how many of his minions there are."
Iris agreed, pitching in herself. "There could be hundreds, a thousand."
Cisco added. "And all of them, they're all working with different powers."
"It could take weeks to track them all down." Joe said.
"Guys, we don't have weeks." Barry countered.
At those words, Evelyn turned her eyes to her father and saw the gears turning in his head. Looking back at her, Seth knew she and him were thinking the same. Both of them are thinking of a group of friends on a separate Earth.
"Think that'll work?" Venom inquired after hearing his host's thoughts.
"Best option we got… and we know they're ready for some action." Seth thought back. He returned to the conversation when the speedster stated his idea.
"What we need to do is come up with a way to stop them all at once." Barry said.
"Again." Harry started. "How?"
Barry got a good idea and looked to the viber. "Cisco, your goggles, your camera, they didn't work on Earth-2, right?"
"Yeah, it was a whole different frequency." Cisco nodded.
"And the way you took down the Time Wraiths, that was based on frequency." Barry hoped the viber and the others would catch on. "Hartley's entire schtick…"
Cisco got up from his chair with a look of realization. "I think I'm smelling what you're stepping in."
"Yeah." The nanite mutant smiled.
"Same." Harry smirked.
Matt explained. "Basically, we could construct some vibrational tech that can take down Earth-2 metas."
Barry smiled. "Basically."
"Oh, I gotcha." Harry smirked.
"Me too." Cisco agreed.
""NO! /NO!"" Both Caitlin and Seth screamed, shocking the entire team with their words.
"What? Why?" Barry rapidly asked the two.
"Wow, still an idiot." Seth bluntly stated, rubbing his eyes.
Caitlin took over, gesturing to their daughter from Earth-2. "We got an Earth-2 metahuman daughter here, guys. Your tech could end up hurting her. I'm not gonna condone, let alone help with anything that could harm my child." She protectively said.
"She's right, this tech could hurt our daughter. That ain't happening, not on our watch." Seth adamantly stated.
Evelyn smiled happily; her parents wouldn't let anything happen to her even though it could very well stop Zoom.
The nanite mutant then assured the parents. "Don't worry about that, you two. I'll make some tech that can protect Evie. Trust me."
At those words, Frankie asked. "What about Dad and me? And you, Aunt liv and Ruby? What's gonna happen then?"
"What do you mean?" Ruby asked her sister in confusion.
Seth caught on. "The four of us are from a different Earth ourselves, 616. Because of that, we have a different frequency too."
Caitlin's eyes widened in realization. "And since this is a vibrational piece of tech, a sonic weapon, it could even affect you and Frankie because of your Klyntar roommates even if your frequencies are different from Earth-2 natives."
The elemental faced Matt. "Think you can make some tech to protect Evie and the rest of us?"
"Got some ideas I could try out, yeah." Matt shifted his eyes between Seth and his magnekinetic daughter. "Think I can make something for the two of you as well, but I need your help with that, Seth. And at the same time, I can figure the frequencies of us Earth-616 natives. Livia, Rubs, come with us." He waved his wife and his niece over.
"Frankie, Evie, come with." Seth said and they followed him.
But Caitlin stopped her mate, grabbing him by his forearm. "Wait a second, Seth. Girls go with your uncle and aunt." Her daughters nodded and walked after them.
"What's up?" Seth asked.
"Be careful and make sure your brother-in-law doesn't make something dangerous." Caitlin stated.
"Course, as long as you make sure Cisco and Wells don't make something that actually kills our daughters." Seth stated, glancing at the viber and Earth-2 scientist who're visibly hurt by his words as they left.
"Deal." Caitlin kissed him and left.
Seth went to follow but stopped when the detective called out to him. "Seth, wait a beat."
"What? Why?" The elemental asked.
"Just wait, got to talk to you and Barry." Joe replied and the mutant sighed his annoyance.
Choosing that moment, Iris informed the speedster. "I'll let you know if I hear anything from CCPN."
"Thank you." Barry expressed gratefully to the reporter who walked towards the exit.
"You're welcome." Iris said back.
"We got this." Barry told the team confidently, except the married mutants and Caitlin and her daughters who left instantly.
Turning his attention to Joe, Seth asked his best friend. "What's the deal, Joe? You wanna compare donuts or something?"
"Brother, is that all you think police work is?" Joe had to ask. Seth smirked at that question and the detective held up his hand. "Hold up, don't answer that. Come with me, both of you." He waved the speedster and the elemental over to the side lab.
"If this is another moment where we listen to Barry's problems like a broken record, I'm just gonna take a nap." Seth joked and the metahuman playfully punched his shoulder in retaliation.
Barry chuckle and directed to his adoptive father. "What's up?"
Exhaling deeply Joe started. "Man, it's Wally."
"Is he okay?" Barry asked.
"Not really." The detective shook his head. "Earlier, he thought it would be a good idea if he used himself as bait against a metahuman psycho."
Seth gaped his mouth understandingly. "Aw, remember Frankie said something about Wally going off the tracks before. That's what she meant."
"Yeah. Hadn't she been there I don't even wanna imagine what could have happened to Wally." Joe gestured to Barry and Seth. "Apparently he thought he could do things the way The Flash and Venom would."
"Unless he got powers from that wave of dark matter that hit him, then I'm gonna have to say your son's off his rocker and should probably leave this to professionals." Seth quipped, using a mock British accent. Joe really didn't know how to feel about his friend basically saying his son's crazy.
And this coming from the guy who's from another universe and can run up walls.
The speedster pitched in. "Joe, I mean, he… He did tell me that he wasn't gonna waste the opportunity The Flash gave him."
Seth remembered hearing something like that. Apparently after Barry gave up his powers and Seth went to Earth-2 to rescue Caitlin, Wally had his father set up a meeting with The Flash to express his gratitude to him, for saving his life especially at the cost of his superhuman powers which allowed him to travel beyond the speed of sound.
"I don't know if you can stop him." Barry continued.
Joe countered. "I'm gonna have to or he's gonna get himself killed. Look, he ain't like you two. He can't just go Mach 50 or punch a hole in the universe."
"Mach 50 isn't a real thing." Barry chuckle.
Giving a dry look, Seth said. "You really think either of us can punch a hole in the universe? This entire facility's done more than anyone or anything in existence."
Joe held out his hand. "The point is thinking you're invincible isn't any kind of armor. Wally's already at a higher risk than I'm comfortable with, and him throwing caution to the wind on top of all that?" He shook his head. "No."
"So, what do you want, Joe?" Seth asked.
"Anything and everything… We just got to keep him safe." Joe stated. He locked eyes with his son. "So… In the Flash, talk to him. Again." Seth narrowed his eyes at those words.
"Yeah, I'll talk to him. I'll try, I promise." Barry nodded.
"Yeah." Joe said and Barry hummed before leaving. The detective told his son before he left. "Thank you."
When the speedster left, leaving him and the detective alone in the lab, Seth asked him. "You don't think it'll go well, do you?"
"You remember how it was with Iris back then, a visit from The Streak didn't stop her from writing about you and Barry." Joe remarked. "Not even when you visited her and turned up the scary to max."
"Yeah, scaring your child didn't do squat." The mutant quipped. "Wait, you don't want me to use scare tactics on your other child now, do you?" He had to ask the detective.
Shrugging his shoulders uncertainly Joe asked. "Maybe. Frankie suggested you should try and scare the bejesus out of my son too."
"Great, my daughter's got my traits now." Seth said, inwardly conflicted. He didn't know whether to be proud or terrified by his daughter's behavior right now.
"But…" Joe returned to the subject with a hopeful look on his face.
"Really not a fan of how the Wests are dragging me into this shit again." Seth thought to himself. After releasing a small grumble, he answered his friend. "Fine, I will help you and scare your son, like I did with your daughter. I really hope this one ain't as tough as Iris." The elemental quipped before walking out of the lab.

As he walked towards the workshop via the hallway, Seth felt his head swarm and almost explode with humongous thoughts. His gaze lowered to his right hand, the small multi-colored crystal the size of marble in the palm of his hand.
Examining the marble in his hand, he thought to himself. "It didn't shine a single time out there."
"Is it waiting for something?" Venom asked. Neither host nor symbiote knew what it would take for them to fulfill their end of the deal.
"Maybe Zoom really needs to be weakened for this thing to finally work…" Seth gave his thoughts. "What would it take?"
"Let's just kill him or eat him." Venom angrily replied, his anger spiked because they were running in circles in this situation. Mulling over his own words, the symbiote stated. "Forget that last one, we don't wanna be shitting pieces of leather."
Coming to a stop, while pocketing the crystal ball, Seth said back. "Remember I'm doing the shitting in this partnership, pal. You ain't doing shit."
"We feel you shitting all the time! Especially when you open that gullet you call a mouth!"
"No chocolate for you, Goop." The mutant muttered under his breath before resuming his walk to the workshop. Passing through the threshold, he came to a stop when he saw Matt standing by a computer. Beside him are Olivia and Evelyn in a chair, both of them equipped with small white patches to their temples. Frankie was on the other side of the workshop, seated in her own chair with Ruby standing beside her.
Seth joked to announce his presence. "Matty, you done going all Frankenstein on my sister and my daughters?"
"Ha-ha." Matt said back and looked over his shoulder. "I'm just checking out their frequencies, they're taking a bit of time seeing as we're taking three tests at the same time."
Ruby asked her uncle. "Unc, why aren't you testing me too, wouldn't that work?"
Olivia added with a question of her own. "And why am I the one being tested here? Wouldn't you either of you two work?" She gestured to the other mutants.
Knowing the answers to their questions, Seth answered for his brother-in-law. "Ruby, it wouldn't work with you because of the Gravitonium in your system, chances are it might just mess up the scans." His daughter nodded her understanding and faced his sister. "And it's better if you're the tested one of the mutants, sis, because our mutations…" He gestured to himself and Matt. "They affect our bodies more than yours, which is centered on your brain."
Matt pitched in. "And like it was with Ruby's Gravitonium, we also have factors in our bodies that might screw up the tests, like Seth's elements and my adamantium skeleton."
"Great." Olivia's annoyance was clear as day.
"But what's the idea for keeping our Earth-2 people safe?" Seth asked Matt.
"Wells and Cisco said they'd take care of that part while we make sure us 616ers are safe from the sonic weapon they're making." Matt explained. Seth made mental note of that, knowing that he had to have a conversation with the nanite mutant later. "But did figure something out that could help you and Frankie."
"What?" Seth inquired.
The nanite mutant reached under the desk and pulled out a big metal case, placing it on the table. Flipping open the latches and opening the lid, he pulled out two thin black suits with blue lining. Frankie noted the design and spoke. "They're the same you made for me back during that Vandal Savage thing, right?"
"Minus the pipes, yeah. But these are modified." Matt ran his hand over the suits, the lining shifting and swarming with nanites. "Wear these suits. They're lined with nanites that are programmed to repel and counteract foreign soundwaves that comes in destructive waves."
"They'll protect me and Frankie?" Seth asked.
"Possibly only you." Seth widened his eyes and Matt corrected himself. "I mean, it might not have to protect Frankie seeing as she's a native from Earth-1, so chances are Magenta might have the same frequency and won't be hurt."
"Really don't like how Matt's guessing a lot on the topic of whether or not our daughter's gonna get hurt…" Venom growled.
Forgoing the growl from within, Seth pieced the pieces together and faced Matt. "Because of my Earth-616 origin, I might not be able to handle the sound attack." The other male mutant nodded his confirmation. "Better me than her. So just wear this suit and hope for the best?" He took one of the suits.
"Yeah, basically. You should both be able to use your powers and still morph your limbs." Matt assured the symbiote bearers.
"Good." Frankie nodded while cracking her fists.
"Matty, you and Livy need to be ready for this fight against Zoom." Seth's words shocked the married mutants, making them snap their heads in his direction with the suddenness of a thunderclap. "Calm down, Dum and Dumber, I'm asking you to be ready for a fight, not perform acute surgery."
"Why?" Matt asked, discreetly turning his eyes to his pregnant wife.
"Remember that Orion guy you faced off against on Earth-2?" Matt nodded to Seth's question. "He's a powerful psychic, able to even divert elemental attacks with his mind."
"I can't even do that." Olivia chimed in shockingly.
"Exactly, so when this guy shows his stitched face again, we need our strongest psychic to fight off Zoom's strongest psychic." Seth stated. The psychic and her husband shared a look before the elemental faced Matt again. "Also, Matt, think you can mass produce whatever you're making to protect Earth-2 people?"
"Shouldn't be that hard with me, Wells and Cisco on the clock. Why?" Matt asked.
"Trust me… We might need them." Seth wanted to keep that part of his plan under wraps for now.
Not that he didn't trust his family and the team, but rather it'd be best to conceal a secret weapon for now.
X
Inside of the Cortex, both Caitlin and Cisco worked intently on what to make to defeat the army of Earth-2 metahumans that Zoom's brought along. They've written equations on boards, run simulations on what to do, even consulted Jarvis for aid, but they kept hitting a dead end repeatedly.
If they kept meeting that same wall, they might as well just take residence on it… somehow.
With a marker in his hand, Cisco walked towards the whiteboard with the latest equation that he drew up. In frustration he threw the marker against the board.
Hearing the clattering behind her, Caitlin looked away from her computer and looked at Cisco. "I thought throwing things was Harry's preferred method of dealing with stress." She quipped.
Cisco leant over a chair and stated. "That is how frustrated I am right now. I'm… just running out of ideas as to how to make this work. Where's Barry? I need a taste of that "Walking on Sunshine" thing he's got going on right now."
"Not walking on sunshine for sure, but I can help maybe?" Seth joked as he entered the Cortex.
"Hey?" Caitlin smiled at her mate.
"What are you doing here, man? Thought you were helping Matt?" Cisco asked the elemental.
"Well, they didn't need a quack doctor, unfortunately." Seth shrugged. Gesturing to the two here, he asked. "What about you two? You need a hand?"
"You got something that can get the ideas running?" Cisco asked him with a hopeful look.
Seth shook his head. "Short of an adrenaline shot, nope." He stated.
"Fine, I'm getting coffee." Cisco said, throwing another marker at the whiteboard before leaving.
"Cisco's becoming a mini-Harry at this point." Seth chuckled.
"Can you really imagine Harry with curly hair?" Caitlin mused with a raised eyebrow.
Thinking to himself, imagining how Harrison Wells would look with curly hair… Seth frowned and shuddered at the image. "Yeah, not going anywhere near that image again." He shook his head and walked over to Cisco's equation on the whiteboard.
Caitlin smiled, her eyes lingering on his form before turning around to her work again…
But she gasped when she saw Zoom's crackling reflection in the glass door in front of her. Snapping around to call out to Seth, her eyes widened, and she paled in terror when she saw the evil speedster standing in front of her.
"No… No!" Caitlin screamed, staggering backwards to escape his clutches.
Registering her scream, Seth snapped his eyes to his mate with his arms turning into adamantium claws before rushing towards her. He found her staring terrified into the open air, but that didn't stop him from walking to her.
Seeing her shake like a leaf, he jumped into action. "Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey." He placed his hands on her shoulders, rubbing them up and down. "Cait, it's me." Somehow, by a miracle, he managed to get her to snap out of the trance of terror. "It's me, it's okay. Breathe. Breathe." Caitlin obliged, following his instructions.
With each word coming out of his mouth, his partner sent out waves of emotions to soothe her. He didn't know what else to do as he felt the emotions coming out of her. He could practically feel the fear and anxiety oozing out of his mate and it terrified him that she was exuding these two powerful emotions from her.
"You're okay… You're shaking." He spoke. "You are…" He hated himself for almost asking if she was okay, he knew she wasn't, not yet.
Caitlin confessed. "I… I thought I saw him… Zoom…" She stuttered. "I thought I saw him right there."
"He wasn't here, Cait. It's just me, okay. Me alone." The mutant assured her. Gently taking her hand, he placed it over his chest and used his hand to press it on his chest. "Look at me… Feel this… It's me. Just me. Zoom's not here, I promise you that."
To his surprise, Caitlin shook her head and almost cried. "I see him everywhere."
"Cait, it's natural to feel this." Seth told her calmly. "You literally escaped both death and a psychopath who kidnapped you, all right, it's normal for you to have a severe reaction like this."
"This is so much worse than that." Caitlin shook her head and walked out of his hands. Seth listened as she poured her heart out. "I- I'm afraid all the time. I don't think I can ever move forward."
"Trust me, Cait you will. You're stronger than you give yourself credit." Seth assured her, walking towards her.
"When?" Caitlin asked. "Jay took everything from me. My confidence… My trust… My sanity. I don't think I'll ever be whole again."
"Of course, you will." Seth walked over to her, embracing her into a heartwarming hug. "You're way stronger than you think, Caitlin." She hugged him back. "Anyone who knows you know you're one of the strongest women on this team, nah, this entire city. You're not broken, not by a longshot."
Seth inhaled deeply before confessing. "After Stryker's experiments… I was terrified of everything." While in the embrace she listened to every single word. "Every stranger looking at me and my sister weirdly, I always thought I'd be kidnapped and had to be combat ready to fend for myself. I'd stand in an empty room, and the only thing I could imagine was how it'd look after I tore down. I had to get out of them no matter what. Even the sight of sharp objects made me wanna throw up, they reminded me of those scalpels and needles that were used on me…"
"Worst of all… Ever since I got out… The only sound I could hear was the sound of my sister screaming till her voice went hoarse." Seth confessed with wettened eyes. "Of all the feelings, of all the memories after that hellish time… that was definitely the worst one… because even with all the powers I have, I was powerless."
Resonating with his words, with the memories and feelings he felt, Caitlin said. "That's kind of how I felt when I was in Zoom's captivity. I was powerless to do anything."
"Jesus, how come it's literally the worst thing we've experienced is what we have most in common." Seth chuckled while hugging her. "I survived that hell… You can survive yours. I promise I'll be there the entire way."
"Thanks…" Caitlin thanked her.
Caitlin couldn't help but smile as she remained in the mutant's embrace. After meeting Seth, she quickly came to the realization that through thick and thin he'd be beside her as the Lethal Protector. A guardian who's gonna stand and fight with her even on a battlefield that is nothing short of a wasteland ridden with catastrophes. He'd be with her through it all…
When she'd fall, he'd catch her… just like she'd catch him if the roles were reversed…
When she'd get hurt, he'd protect her with his own body… just like she'd do with her own body if the roles were reversed…
When through tough times… they'd be beside each other, holding one another and reminding each other… they're not alone.
Widening his eyes in realization, Seth told his girlfriend. "Oh yeah, at some point tonight, I have to go out and scare Joe's son, Wally."
"Wait, what?" Caitlin asked, her eyes snapping open, absolutely flabbergasted.
X
Sitting in his silver Camaro, Wally West tuned into the police radio and listened to everything happening throughout the city. But it didn't spark his intrigue, nor he did see the need to intervene.
WHOOSH
The Flash appeared on the side of the road, and looked at the shell-shocked Wally. And he wasn't the only one to pay him a visit as Eclipse appeared out of a smog of shadows with Venom.
Venom narrowed his eyes on the racer's radio in his hand. "Stealing, are we?"
"You know that's illegal, right?" The Flash joked with a vibrating voice.
Wally laughed and chuckled at their words.
The elemental saw his daughter look around, keeping an eye out while he directed to the former racer. "So, Detective West tells us you've been fighting Zoom's army on your own. Ballsy for a racer."
Wally gulped, temporarily shocked by the large demon knowing of his past. Composing himself he stated. "Yeah. I want to help."
"Won't end well if you continue down this path, Wallace." Venom kept formal while also standing authoritatively with crossed arms, flexing his bulging muscles.
The Flash gestured to himself. "I admire what you're trying to do," Both Evelyn and Seth glanced in his direction, wondering if the speedster forgot their purpose for this visit. "but the best way to help is to just leave this to the police."
"Like you guys did." Wally nodded to the three heroes.
Eclipse pitched in, facing the former racer with her markings shining on her face. "It's different for us, Wally. The Flash… Venom… Me… We have powers." Wally chortled, displaying the West gene. Evelyn continued. "Wally, I'm sorry, but this isn't your fight."
"It's ours." Venom added.
Quickly thinking it over, Wally argued. "No, it's all of ours. This is my city too now. And it's up to all of us to protect it."
The three heroes couldn't help but admire Wally's determination to protect and save his home. Even though it could cost him his life.
"Guys." Cisco spoke into their earpieces, garnering their attention. "We got a major metahuman alert at 5th and Main… Get there."
"5th and Main. Got it." The Flash replied to his team. He looked at Wally. "We'll continue this later." He sped away.
Eclipse took her father's hand. "Ready?"
"Ready when you were, kiddo." Venom said back.
The father and daughter disappeared in a smokescreen of shadows, leaving Wally alone and he smirked before starting his car engine.
X
(5th and Main)
Venom and Eclipse appeared as the first on the scene, The Flash arriving a second later at the intersection… The three heroes watched as the familiar woman turned her head around and faced them.
"Why is it always so difficult to choose?" The cryer stated to herself.
"You again…" Venom sneered in rage while taking his sword out of his pocket dimension, his eyes noticing Barry gaping his mouth in shock.
"Barry, what is it?" Cisco asked the speedster.
As Evelyn withdrew an arrow, pulling it back on her bowstring, Barry struggled to answer. "It's… Laurel Lance."
Seth snapped his head to the Scarlet Speedster. "You know her? How?"
Laurel tilted her head to the elemental. "Sethy… God so good to see you again." She shifted her eyes to Evelyn who shivered. The cryer gestured to the healed scar on her left shoulder. "Haven't forgotten about this, little girl."
"Laurel." Barry stepped forward.
The cryer laughed at Barry's familiar tone. "Laurel Lance is dead. On this Earth, anyway. Poor Black Canary. Bye-bye, birdy." She pouted and looked at Seth. "Thought you'd tell them about me, Seth… Had some great times on Earth-2."
Venom growled.
Barry looked at him. "You know her? How?"
Seth wondered if the metahuman forgot or never even heard his sentence, even though he did recite his sentence.
X
(S.T.A.R. Labs, The Cortex)
Shocked by the heroes' announcements he heard through the comms; Cisco muttered. "Earth-2 Laurel."
"Oh crap…" Ruby let out in fear of that voice.
Harry asked the entire team. "You knew her doppelganger?"
Caitlin answered. "We didn't just know her, we loved her."
"Trust me you're not gonna love this one, Mom." Ruby informed her mother bluntly.
"What do you mean, sis?" Frankie asked.
"Don't know who this Laurel Lance on Earth-1 is, but trust me this…" Ruby clenched her hands, everyone' attention on the former assassin. "Black Siren's nothing but dangerous."
X
(5th and Main)
"Black Siren." Venom growled the cryer's name.
"Always nice to meet a fan." Laurel smiled. Evelyn had an arrow trained on her, but Black Siren unflinchingly looked at Barry. "Zoom mentioned that you might be showing up." She nodded towards the elemental. "Knew he and his kid would show up again."
"If he told you what I can do, you should look more afraid." Barry countered.
"No offense, Flash, so should you." Eclipse chimed in.
Seth grazed the asphalt with the tip of his crystal sword. "Why did you destroy Mercury Labs, Siren?"
Black Siren laughed. "Because I like to watch things crumble and fall. Thought you knew that Sethy?"
He didn't know that about the cryer. Let alone the fact that Black Siren could project such strong and powerful sonic screams that could cause a tremor that can take down buildings. Which meant that all the times they fought on Earth-2, she was holding back her full strength.
"You're not destroying anymore of our home!" Evelyn shouted.
"We'll see about that, won't we, Lightbulb?" Black Siren jokes, thrusting her head outwards and unleashed a sonic shout in the direction of The Flash and Eclipse. But it was the younger metahuman who dodged, disappearing in shadows and the Scarlet Speedster took on the full brunt of the attack, hurling him to the ground.
"Flash!" Venom shouted before rushing towards the cryer. He swung his sword for her. But Black Siren didn't react in any way to the incoming sword attack.
Suddenly an invisible force stopped the sword from connecting with Laurel-2. Venom tried to move his sword, yet he struggled to do so.
Black Siren looked him in the eyes. Nodding upwards she said. "Remember Orion?" Following her eyes, Venom saw the Earth-2 telekinetic hovering above their heads. His hand outstretched and held up the telekinetic wall that blocks his sword from continuing onwards.
Through the array of stitches across his mouth, Rajeet grunted in anger and hate at the mutant. Venom looked up. "Long time no see, Murmur."
That name triggered the telekinetic, making him swing his hand and hurl Seth off his feet and into a wall. Clenching his hand and swinging it around, he repeated that action and smashed the elemental into the ground and wall, jackhammering him till the point where both surfaces cracked.
Barry returned to his feet, holding both ears in pain. "Was that too loud?" Black Siren bemusedly said, the pain he's in is so laughable. "Perhaps we should quiet things down a bit." She punched the speedster, making him grunt before backhanding him, forcing another grunt again. Spiraling, she kicked The Flash to the ground.
Her attention was diverted when Venom's form came flying down and smashed into the ground beside her. She sidestepped out of the way when his sword came flying, piercing into the ground. Pushing himself out of the ground, the mutant grabbed hold of a car close by.
Letting out a cry, she threw the car after Rajeet. Not showing the slightest form of reaction at the incoming vehicle, he used his telekinesis to make the car fly around before throwing it back at Seth. Backflipping, the mutant yanked his sword out of the ground and swung it, slashing the car in half.
Both halves of the car were about to attack the mutant from behind, but Eclipse appeared in a burst of shadows and released two arrows, both imbued with darkness and light. They flew at a momentum that Rajeet couldn't match, and they pierced into the two halves of the car, exploding upon impact.
Seth looked over his shoulder, facing his daughter with a wide smile. "Thanks, Eclipse."
"Got your back, old man." She cheekily stated while holstering her bow. While pointing both eyes at the evil telekinetic she cupped her hands and formed a big orb of light. Evelyn hurled the orb at Orion.
Raising his hand to deflect the orb, Rajeet was shocked that he couldn't divert the light element. Leading to it connecting with his body and sending him flying into the wall behind him.
Both father and daughter heard another grunt from the speedster behind them, making them face that direction and see Laurel threateningly walk towards the Scarlet Speedster. "You know, the sad thing is, I think Zoom's actually afraid of you. And I didn't think that he feared anything…" She gave a glance to the large demon. "Except that guy."
Sending the elemental a flirty wink, she turned back to face the speedster. "And you, you're hardly worth the chills. How many metas did he send to try and kill you? Well, it's too bad. He should have just sent me because that way, you would have already been-"
"On your left!" Evelyn called out just as a silver Camaro appeared out of the blue, spinning around and slamming into the cryer, sending her rolling on the ground.
"Why did you say that?" Seth directed to his child.
"Don't know, felt right." Evelyn shrugged her shoulders.
The right side door opened up and Wally looked at The Flash. "Get in." Barry gruntingly rushed into the car which drove away immediately.
"What about them?" Evelyn asked her father as they saw both evil metahumans reorient themselves.
"We're getting out of here, these two are too much for the two of us alone." Venom stated.
Eclipse took his hand and shadowported out of there.

(S.T.A.R. Labs)
"OW!" Barry shouted in pain.
"Stay still, you baby!" Seth pinned the speedster to the chair while swapping his left ear with his left hand, his right hand pressing down on his chest to the point where his bones almost cracked.
Everyone else on the team watched as Seth violently and cruelly treated Barry's damaged ear after taking on Black Siren's sonic scream, Ruby and Olivia couldn't help but laugh as Barry struggled from Dr. Fury's treatments. It looked like he was trying to escape.
Joe watched sternly from the sidelines with Frankie and Evelyn. Matt noticed Henry's worried expression, possibly thinking he should jump in and take over before Seth breaks the Hippocratic Oath and actually harms his son. Iris watched in equal worry for Barry.
Caitlin watched from behind her mate, looking over his shoulder. While Seth tried to clean out Barry's ear, she noted. "Why do so many villains that we go up against use sound as a weapon?"
While turning to face his beloved, and pinning Barry to the chair, Seth said. "Sounds are harder to catch, babe."
Barry saw their mouths moving. "What?!" He shouted.
"Shut up and stay still!" Seth ordered, turning his arm into adamantium and applying more pressure to his chest, which made the speedster cough in pain. Cleaning out the rest of the blood in his ear, the mutant then said to his parents. "Joe, Henry, if he keeps struggling like this every time, I treat him, I'm gonna knock him out."
"Thought anesthesia didn't work on him?" Henry asked.
Joe blanky corrected him. "He meant knocking him out with his fist."
Henry feared for his son's future on this team… mostly on account Seth being a secondary but unorthodox doctor.
"There." Seth finished getting the last specks of blood from his ear. Removing the swat from his ear, he straightened up and spoke. "You're gonna be fine."
"Thanks for that really, really, really unpleasant treatment." Barry said.
Holding the swat with blood close to his face, Seth reprimanded him. "You're the son of a police detective and a doctor, and you're a mediocre hero… Suck it up you whiny baby!" Barry gulped and nodded frantically, akin to him vibrating his head.
"Seth, you better not be expecting a "Doctor of the Year" award." Olivia chuckled.
"Like I need an award for saving people." Seth said while taking off his gloves.
Joe stepped forward. "So, Wally just drove on up into the thick of it?" Barry hummed his confirmation. "Must have been some conversation you had, seeing as, despite a demon, an archer and a speedster talking to him, he did literally the opposite of what we wanted."
"This I can hear." Barry chuckle.
"It's not funny." Joe wasn't in the mood for a joke. "I'm in no laughing mood."
"Sorry, Uncle Joe." Evelyn expressed.
"Sorry, Joe, we tried. But your kid's pretty tough." Seth added.
"You were there to support you two, but I really hoped Barry here would have set him straight." Joe pointed to the speedster.
"Look, Joe, we tried." Barry repeated Seth's words, getting up from his chair. "We told you we'd try, right? I-"
"Wally's a determined child." The elemental added, interrupting Barry.
"Yeah, determined to get himself killed." Joe countered.
"Or determined to help people." Barry argued. "And be glad, or you know, I would not be standing here right now."
"Well, he was lucky tonight. I don't want to see the day when he isn't." Joe stated.
"We've got more than luck on our side, Joe." Barry confidently said, still feeling invincible after his visit to the Speed Force. He walked away to the side lab. Iris followed him.
Joe sent a look to Seth who threw his hands up in the air. "Don't give me that look, Joe. But don't worry, next I'm gonna destroy your son's engine."
"Don't do that either." Joe disciplined his friend before walking away with Henry.
Olivia looked between Caitlin and Seth. "Caity, mind if I speak with Seth alone?"
"Course not, I'll go and check on Evelyn. Girls you're coming too." Caitlin waved her daughters over.
"I'll check on Cisco and Harry, see how they're doing with the mass production." Matt said, leaving the Fury siblings alone.
The psychic faced her elder brother. "What's with you taking charge of medical duties?"
"Well, that is why I have a medical degree, dumbass." Seth chortled.
"Screw you." Olivia countered. "But seriously, what's with you doing that? Is something going on with Caitlin?"
Throwing a glance at the exit, the one which Caitlin walked out of, he replied. "She's still experiencing some last effects from being kidnapped."
"She's gonna be fine, Seth." Olivia assured her brother. "Give her some time, some support, maybe hot chocolate," That last one made Seth raise an eyebrow. "and she'll be back to her usual weird self in no time."
"First, hot chocolate?" Seth asked and Olivia smirked. "Second, why is the love of my life weird?"
"She fell in love with you, didn't she?" She joked.
At that moment, Seth felt like burning all of his baby sister's hair.

After checking on Evelyn, nothing serious thankfully other than exhaustion, Caitlin walked into the medbay as it was now left empty. She took a seat on the gurney and rubbed her forehead. Since she got back, she's been feeling nausea and other strange symptoms.
While she'd love the opportunity to examine and treat herself, she couldn't do that right now. They're in the middle of a war with a psychopathic speedster from Earth-2. After that, she'd give herself all the time she'd need to treat herself.
But for now, she had to get ready again and help the others down in the Breach Room. Getting back up she looked around, thinking that someone else was here in the room for some reason. Shaking off that strange feeling she peered up her head and saw a lone little box on the shelves.
And it intrigued her for some reason.

(Breach Room)
Ruby kept her phone up, filming the experimentation.
"Ow!" Harrison Wells grunted in pain while seated on the chair, a sound wave hitting his ears through the headphones.
"Sorry." Cisco apologized.
"OW!" Harry screamed louder when a higher soundwave hit his ears.
"There we go." Cisco laughed.
"You must be loving this, Cisco?" Seth laughed himself as he stood on the railing with Frankie.
The magnekinetic turned her eyes to her sister who kept filming. "You got it?"
Stopping the filming, Ruby nodded and flipped her phone in the air before catching it again. "Hells yeah."
"Are you kidding me with this?" Harrison directed to Cisco and Seth's daughters.
Evelyn chuckled. "At least it works, Wells. Don't be mean."
"Tremendous." Harry sarcastically replied.
"It's impossible to please this guy." Frankie said, running her hands down her face.
"No kidding honey." Matt agreed with his niece.
"What is it exactly?" Barry asked them.
Cisco smirked. "It's just a small source of joy, but more importantly, it's how we're gonna stop Zoom's army."
"By giving them all electroshock therapy?" Joe inquired, directing it to the scientists behind the machine that looked like a massage chair.
Matt corrected the detective. "By giving them all dimensional shock therapy."
"This is where I play stupid, and you explain the science." Joe reminded them.
"Okay. Fair enough." Cisco started his explanation. "So, all matter vibrates at its own unique frequency, right?"
The nanite mutant continued. "You disrupt that frequency; you disrupt the matter."
"Like how an opera singer shatters glass with her voice." Iris deduced.
"Exactly." Cisco pointed an appreciative finger at the reporter. "So, we found out that all Earth-2 people," He gestured to Harry and Evelyn. "vibrate at their own, more erratic frequency."
"Higher frequency." Harry corrected the viber.
"Different frequency." Cisco said.
"Higher!" Harry adamantly stated.
Cisco conceded. "Higher frequency than we do."
"Right." Joe gratefully accepted.
"So, we ran this all past Hartley, seeing as he's the sound expert of everyone who worked in this place." Matt started, walking off the platform and over to the other machine. "And he postulated that we could create a sort of a dimensional tuning fork…"
"Voila." Cisco gestured to the machine Harry's strapped in as he walked towards the whiteboard with Matt.
"Okay, you didn't do it yourselves." Harry reminded the powered scientists as he got out of the machine.
Cisco gave him a dry look. "Just let us have this one, okay?" Matt didn't know why he was brought into this.
"Have it, have it." Harry let them.
"Thank you." Cisco said, turning to face the board with a marker. "So, if you run around the city" He drew a circle. "fast enough to create a refracting field, the device can send out" He drew a spot in the middle of the circle. "a pulse that'll bounce off of it, split apart," He drew what would happen with the pulse once released within the field. "and collide with itself over and over."
Seth deduced. "Amplifying it to an erratic frequency on the Earth-2…"
"Higher. Higher frequency." Harry corrected the mutant.
"Higher frequency…" The elemental grit his teeth. "On the Earth-2 spectrum."
"And when that pulse hits anyone from Earth-2…" Cisco said.
"It'll disrupt their nervous system." Caitlin finished his sentence, but she didn't look at all happy about it. Frankie, Ruby and Seth shared her look and looked at Evelyn with concern.
"Earth-2 meta go night-night." Cisco said.
"Even Zoom?" Iris asked.
"Even Zoom." Cisco assured them with a twirl of the marker.
"Cisco…" Caitlin got everyone's attention. "Harry, Jesse, not to mention my own daughter Evie, they're all from Earth-2."
"Cait's got a point." Seth crossed his arms. "We're not going through with this plan if it hurts even one of my daughters."
Joe nodded his agreement. "How do we keep the pulse from hurting them?"
"Oh, Detective, I didn't know you cared." Harry mused.
"I have an Earth-2 niece, and yes you did." Joe countered and Evelyn smiled.
"Uh, we designed these headphones to protect us from the pulse." Harry put on the headphones in question.
"Beats by Wells." Cisco joked.
"That's for Harry and Jesse." Matt took out a pair of earplugs with glass-like covering. "These are for Evelyn. They'll protect Earth-2 people in the field, and they're mass-produced."
"Why is that a necessity?" Joe asked.
"Call it a last resort." Seth vaguely said.
Caitlin asked. "What about Seth and 616ers? They're gonna be fine."
Harrison answered. "Strangely enough, our frequencies aren't even close to theirs. They're different."
"Higher." Matt smirked.
Harry dropped his hands and conceded. "Higher. Much, much higher."
The entire team laughed.
"Thankfully, Ruby's gonna be safe. Frankie won't be probably hit either because she's a native to Earth-1 and Magenta must have gotten that same frequency somehow." Matt stated.
"But for safety's sake, me and her are gonna wear protective suits underneath our symbiote forms to shield us." Seth pulled the neckline of his shirt down, showing the black suit underneath his clothes. Frankie rolled up her sleeve, showing off her own suit under her clothes.
"At least you're gonna be safe." Caitlin rubbed her mate's arm and he smiled and kissed her lips. Her attention was diverted to the screen when the monitor chimed with an alert. "Cisco, it's your metahuman alert app."
Joe faced the screen and remembered the location. "That's the high-rise development on the west side."
"Hundreds of people live there." Iris paled.
"Ramon, we're up. Let's go." Harry rushed to the platform. "Set that pulse off right now. Allen, you need to start generating that refracting field right now."
"But Black Siren can take down this building at any point." Barry argued. "All those people, Wells."
"And what about those metahumans inside CCPD and Zoom? They're not just gonna stay and wait for our machine to work." Matt stated.
That sentence made the elemental perk his head up. Evelyn recognized the look of inspiration on her father's face.
Harry bluntly reminded them. "How many more people are gonna die while we wait?"
"Joe, are there any water towers near the precinct?" Seth asked.
"Yeah, they are." Joe answered.
"Good." Seth walked up the platform with a smirk.
Caitlin turned confused and grabbed his hand, stopping him in his tracks. "Seth, where are you going?"
Shrugging with a smirk, he said. "Well, Zoom has an Earth-2 meta army. Why not bring one of our own?" That statement confused them all greatly. He sent a look to Matt. "You and Liv need to get ready. Girls you too!" He pulled out the trans-dimensional transporter and pressed on the middle and opened a portal. Before passing through, he asked the nanite mutant. "You modified it right?"
"Per your instructions, yeah." Matt assured him and Seth entered the portal which closed behind him.
"What did he mean by that?" Caitlin asked the entire team.
"No idea." Matt said and readied the other earplugs.
"Where's Liv?" Iris asked.
"She's getting backup." The nanite mutant vaguely answered.
Cisco got an idea. "I think I just got the worst idea of all time."
Central City is in for a big surprise.

(CCPD)
Orion grunted through his stitches, his right hand clenching and unclenching repeatedly. His telekinetic force responding in kind and tightening their hold around the five metahuman goonies he chose to play with before. The dozens of other metahumans under him cheered him on, but it barely reached his ears.
This was his way of relieving stress and he was very stressed after the elemental ran away.
WHOOSH
The evil speedster arrived, putting an end to the loud cheering and got the telekinetic's attention. "Orion…" Zoom growled. Orion faced him. "Drop them." Rajeet released his hold, and the five metahumans fell to the ground.
Zoom kept his eyes on the telekinetic. "Stop playing with them… They are our brothers and sisters." Rajeet shook his head in disagreement. The evil speedster knew he couldn't get through that man's thick skull any time soon.
He was enraged and etching to get into another fight with the elemental that escaped his grasp tonight.
CRASH
Their attention was diverted when a little red car was smashed through the farthest wall near the elevator and landed in the middle of the lobby. After Orion used his powers to remove the car, Zoom sped to the open hole in the wall and looked down at the origin from the car…
And he growled again, speeding down to meet the sword-wielding demon.
X
Venom braced the sword against his shoulder and crouched on the ground, his left hand twirling a torn car door in the air like it was a baseball. After a quick visit to another Earth, he returned and waited for the evil speedster to come out of his makeshift headquarters.
Seth praised himself for his choice of "invitation."
"There you are!" The elemental didn't even have to turn his head around to know it was Iron Knight lowering himself to the ground. "Where'd you go?"
"Getting backup." Venom smirked.
Iron Knight looked confused. "What does that mean?"
Shadows erupted beside him and Venom saw his daughters arriving at the scene. "Good you came, girls."
"What's the deal, Dad?" Magenta asked him.
Venom returned to his full height, throwing the car door away, just in time for Zoom to arrive before them. The car that he threw into the precinct before was then pushed out from within the building. Orion revealed himself, floating out of the hole in the building.
And in a matter of seconds a swarm of metahumans came out of the department and stood behind their evil and fearless leader.
Zoom growled at the fearless and confident expression on Seth's face. "Again, and again, you don't give up!" He shouted, his booming voice echoing through the streets.
Spinning his sword around, Venom countered. "Against a pathetic junkie? We'll stand up every time."
"Is that so?" Hunter Zolomon cackled. "You and what army?"
Seth's daughters and his brother-in-law wondered that too. Even with the four of them beside him, it would be tough to fight against Zoom's army of evil metahumans, not to mention Zoom and Orion.
"Matt, you take care of Orion. We'll deal with Zoom, Girls you take the army with the others." Venom instructed them.
"What others, Dad?" Ruby asked.
As if on cue, a large portal opened behind them. The evil Earth-2 metahumans and the heroes from Earth-1 looked backwards to face the doorway. Suddenly the unexpected happened.
A familiar face jumped out of it, Girder in his full metallic form and he flexed his arms. Shakedown, though unfamiliar to the others, appeared and shook the ground with his fists shooting out vibrational waves. Hawkgirl flew out of the portal, spiraling into the air before outstretching her wings, her hands wrapped around her spiked mace and her firearm. Greenish gas burst out of the portal, spinning on the ground before forming Kyle Nimbus' body.
Others showed up, a woman in a bright yellow leather jacket and a long skirt. Rosa Dillon held hands with Prism, Roy Bivolo who came out with him. A dark-skinned woman flew out of the portal, appearing in a bumblebee-like suit. Karen Beecher clenched her hands, emanating yellowish sparking energy around her hands. A young dark-skinned man appeared next. Cracking his fists, Isaiah Crockett ignited flames around his arms.
The water tanks around them burst into pieces, water shooting and raining all over the swirling portal. The water on the ground before the gateway splashed when Mera Curry walked out of it, her feet stepping into it. While she took her trident out, Batwing flew out of the portal behind her and spun in the air. Batwoman rolled out of the portal, pulling out her sword and holding it high.
Behind his helmet Matt gasped at the sight of the army before them. He looked down at the smirking demon. "This is the backup?"
Venom snapped his face to him. "What, you wanted more? Bring your own backup next time, dumbass."
"Screw you… and nice job." Matt formed cannons around his arms.
Mera, while water spiraled around her feet, walked over to the two girls she recognized despite the new suits. "Hey you two."
"Mera hi!" Evelyn hugged the Atlantean who looked over her to make eye contact with Ruby. Mera waved her over, demanding she joins the hug.
"Later, when we're done here." Destroyer gestured to the opposing army with her Chakram blade.
"I'm holding you to that." Mera unwrapped her arm from the young metahuman and looked at the smaller demon. "Guess you're Frankie?"
"Magenta out here, but yeah." She nodded.
Pointing a thumb backwards to the large elemental, Mera quipped. "Heard a lot about you from your oaf of a dad."
"Missed you, too, Aqua Girl." Seth retorted. He then turned his eyes to the evil speedster who glared at him. Venom growled. "What's wrong, Zoom? Getting scared?" He challenged him.
"Bring it!" He growled and rushed to the mutant, his army following him.
Venom roared and charged himself, his family and friends following him.
A war's taking place now.
X
"Looks like the opposing king has an army of his own." Black Siren said impressively from her vantage point in a tall construction building. She saw metahumans, all of them from Earth-2, fighting against each other. She should have known that Felicity prepared this as a countermeasure for Zoom.
But she knew she could help her side by taking down most of them with her sonic shout, taking down multiple buildings from her vantage point and having them fall over the enforcers on Seth's side. She rubbed her hands and examined the buildings in front of her.
"I don't think I've down so many buildings at once." Laurel excitedly said.
"Maybe you're not as powerful as you think!"
Black Siren widened her eyes in shock at that voice. She dropped her hands and walked deeper into the floor of the building, walking in the direction of the familiar cold voice. After walking around a corner, she found the source, narrowing her eyes in shock.
"What are you two doing here?" The cryer asked them.
Before her stood Caitlin Snow from Earth-1… dressed as her evil Earth-2 counterpart, Killer Frost.
And beside her is Cisco Ramon from Earth-1… dressed as his evil Earth-2 counterpart, Reverb.
"Why should you have all the fun?" "Reverb" asked.
Black Siren turned around, facing them and walking closer to them. "I thought you two were dead." She discloses.
"Zoom thinks that too." Cisco answered. "And we'd like to keep it that way."
"For now." "Killer Frost" smirked.
The cryer deduced their goals, almost scoffing. "You think you two can pull one over on Zoom?" The former metahumans of Zoom's group shared a look as she continued. "Well, enjoy being dead."
"I told you." "Reverb" stated.
"Killer Frost" argued. "Give her a chance."
The smile on Laurel's face fell and she entertained the idea. "What chance?"
"She's not ready." Cisco told "Killer Frost" who seemed to agree with a twist of her head and turned around.
"Excuse me!" Black Siren regained their attention with her harsh voice. "Do you know what I'm capable of doing?"
Cisco remembered a familiar sentence from his counterpart. "Try it, and I'll shatter your entire nervous system without breaking a sweat."
Laurel laughed at his confidence. "Wow, you really think you can take on Zoom."
Gesturing with his head to himself and "Killer Frost", "Reverb" walked closer to the cryer as he said. "We can. You don't even know how powerful you are. With a single call, you can take down a building. I'd call that impressive. But why… stop… there?" He slowly said, each one of his words intrigued her.
"Why serve a master when you can be a master, when you can be a god?" Cisco continued. Black Siren listened passively. "We…" He looked between himself, "Killer Frost" and the cryer. "Could be gods."
Laurel listened… letting the words sink while the battles outside… roared.
X
Girder grunted, thrusting a metal fist into the evil lightning metahuman in front of him. His fist slamming into his face, sending him flying and into a brick wall. "Evil bastards for sure, but weak as a wood plank." He cracked his fists.
An array of metahumans flew over his head, falling down on the ground before his feet. Shakedown walked up to his side, charging vibrational rings in his palms. "Yeah, but let's just take them down." He slammed his fists down on the ground, emanating another vibrational wave and pushed down other metahumans.
"Come on, suckers!" They heard Hot Spot call out to their enemies. Turning their heads to his direction, they saw him ignite flames around his hands before throwing fireballs after the metahumans floating and levitating in the air. But none of the fiery balls connected with them as they dodged the blazing attacks.
The evil metahumans dove down to strike Isaiah with their bodies. Tony jumped in front of the younger metahuman, crossing his arms and turning his entire body into metal. He took on the attacks, grunting through his teeth as the metahumans increased their power output, pushing back Girder.
Shakedown helped his friend. Lashing out his hands, he projected a big blast of shockwaves and pushed the three metahumans away from Tony. The force of his attack launched their enemies into a wall.
Now free of the opposing metahumans, Tony fell down to his knees and panted in exhaustion.
"Tony!" Hot Spot extinguished his flames and held the metal man. "Are you okay?"
Wiping sweat away from his forehead, he said. "Peachy."
Marcus helped his friend up. As he did so, he looked at Isaiah with a stern look. "Don't get cocky like that again, kid. It's not the right place or time to be that. Fight them together or don't fight them at all."
Hot Spot gave him an incredulous look. "Dude, you serious?" He gestured to the three young girls who're fighting against their own metahumans. "They're literally girls younger and smaller than me, fighting right now against bigger dudes than me."
"They got skills and…" Marcus pointed upwards, gesturing to the fight between Venom and Zoom on the side of the building. "They were taught by the Demon King. They know how to fight, and how to fight smart. Learn something."
"Fine…" Isaiah reluctantly agreed. "Let's go."
"Yeah." Girder clenched his hands, ready for another fight. Just like his fellow metahumans.

An aerial battle took place between Karen Beecher and two evil flying metahumans. "Come on, birdbrains!" Bumblebee shouted, turning around in the air and thrusted out both hands, charging yellowish energy before shooting out two energy blasts.
The two evil flyers squawked like angry birds and they dodged the two attacks before accelerating their momentum with a flap of their wings. Bumblebee groaned at that sight and flew away, shooting energy from her hands to increase her own speed.
But the two flyers chasing her managed to catch up to her quickly. The one on the right tackled into Karen, making her grunt in pain and sending her down on a roof.
Bumblebee spun back on her feet. Looking up she saw the two evil flyers circling over her like vultures preying on a dead body. In desperation she shot bullets of yellowish energy after them to try and shoot them down.
However, each of her attempts were either diverted by their wing flaps or by dodging them. Continuing their assault, the two evil flyers dove down with another flap of their wings, shooting them down like harpoons.
Thankfully, Karen didn't have to worry about them because Hawkgirl tackled into one of the flyers, sending him away and spun around in the air with her mace outstretched and slammed it into the other flyer. Her attacks sent the evil flyers away in different directions.
Kendra Munoz-Saunders lowered herself to the roof, standing beside Karen. "You okay?"
"Hate this! How come metahumans have the same powers as you are on the dark side?!" Karen screamed in annoyance as the evil flyers returned, flying over their heads.
"Yeah, one of a kind." Hawkgirl quipped. She flipped her firearm around in her hand and cocked her gun. "We need to take those two down now."
"Agreed!" Karen agreed, energy emanating around her fists again. "How?" She asked as the vultures continued to circle over their heads.
"The playing field is even now; we can take one each!" Hawkgirl stretched her wings, flapping them down, pushing her off the ground and into the air.
Karen nodded and followed the other flyer. She hoped her biometric Exo-suit could handle the pressure of flying at high speeds. Both Bumblebee and Hawkgirl appeared before the evil flyers.
Hawkgirl swung her mace, hitting the bird metahuman in front of her in the face. The blow to his head sent him flying in the air. Before he got the chance to recompose himself, Kendra flew forward and charged into him in a spin, hurling him away.
But before he could get away, she grabbed him by his collar and twirled around before throwing him into a wall. The opposing flyer slid down the wall and to the ground.
Kendra smirked in triumph. She heard two energy blasts connect with the other evil flyer's body, shooting her away. Facing that direction, she aims her gun at the evil flyer and pulled her trigger. The bullet traveled through the air, hitting the evil metahuman's wing and made her scream in pain.
"Now Bee!" Kendra called out.
Bumblebee condensed her energy in her hands before cupping them together. She unleashed a concentrated yellowish energy beam from her hands and hit the evil flyer, which exploded upon impact. The explosion launched her to the ground, making her skip like a stone.
"Booyah!" Karen trusted her fists into the air, while in the air.
"Calm down, you defeated two metas not win game of the year." Kendra reminded her with a chuckle.
"Sorry." Karen apologized, looking down to see fights erupting under them.
"Come on, we're not finished." Hawkgirl announced, flying down to find another metahuman to fight. Bumblebee followed.

Two pairs flashing red and green and locking onto the metahumans in front of them. Both Roy Bivolo and Rosa Dillon kept their eyes focused on the metahumans before them while they held hands. The metahumans' powers together caused them to become enraged and try to kill each other but also disoriented their senses of balance, triggering a heavy stage of vertigo in them.
"You know when you suggested date night this isn't what I expected." Rosa told her boyfriend while keeping her eyes on the evil metahumans.
Roy shrugged his shoulders. "What can I say? I know how to wow my girlfriend."
"Yeah…" Rosa said, while watching dozens of metahumans trying to fight through crippling vertigo and in blind rage kill each other. "But I think I would have just liked dinner and a movie over a war with Zoom, you know?" Top confessed.
Prism had to agree. In the future, he really shouldn't bring his girlfriend to a warzone on another Earth. "Duly noted. This is way too PG-18 for us." He retorted as a metahuman turned his arm into an axe and tried to hurt another one, but failed to hit him due the vertigo.
"Ma turn!" Cassandra Cain announced, jumping over the two metahumans and rolled on the ground before jumping into the group of enraged and disoriented metahumans. She took hold of her grappling gun and pulled it out. Aiming at a metahuman, she pulled the trigger and shot out the hook.
The hook wrapped around her foot and Batwoman pulled on it, yanking the evil metahuman to the ground. She jumped into the air and spun in the air, bringing her foot down on his chest and knocked him out.
Batwoman returned to her full height and knew that a metahuman with an axe for an arm is coming for her from behind. Retracting her katana from her sheath, she spun and used it to block the axe with one hand. Her other hand took off five smoke capsules from her utility belt.
She parries the axe downwards with her sword, she uses her other hand to smash the capsules in the metahuman's face, black smoke erupting in his face and making him and surrounding metahumans stagger backwards. Pulling back her sword, she swung her blade and hit the metahumans, making them fall back.
Cassandra didn't even have to give a shout out to her friend as Batwing appeared over her head and twisted the panels on his hips, an array of bolas shooting out from the panels and wrapped around the metahumans' bodies upon impact.
"Tanks." Batwoman thanked her friend.
Luke Fox nodded behind his helmet. "Don't mention it." He turned his eyes around and saw metahumans gathering around them. "Batwoman, take these!" He opened his panels, releasing a bunch of bolas that she grabbed.
When he was convinced he had emptied the storage units on his hips, he crossed his arms. Energy shined inside of his chest plate, making the bat symbol on his chest shine. He flew higher up in the air. "Take this!" Violently he uncrossed his arms and released a massive sonic blast from his chest. He spun around, hitting various metahumans with his sonic attack.
The sonic attack sent them to the ground or knocked them out, even cracking the ground.
"Now Batwoman!" He called out to his partner.
Batwoman jumped onto a street lamp and threw the bolas around, each one of them hit a metahuman, wrapping around them and shocking them.
The metahuman couple watched the Gotham natives do their magic… and they liked it. Less work for them!

Mera Curry manipulated the water around her, clenching her hand, bluish aura emanating from her hand, and made it converge to her spot. She forced the water to rise up and formed into a huge bubble around her. Like an octopus, watery tentacles burst out from the sides and lashed around from side to side.
They stroke left and right, wrapping around nearby metahumans and pulling them close. Swiping her left hand left and right, she slammed the evil metahumans into the walls and ground around her. Showing no mercy, she used her right hand to spin her trident around.
Water followed her spinning trident and turned into lightning, which she hurled into the air and hit a metahuman who tried to attack from above with energy holding him up. "Bullseye." She smirked.
"Cool." Magenta said as she latched onto the wall and admired the Atlantean's work. "Dad told us you could do that, but I doubted it for a second, you know."
"Never doubt an Atlantean, kid." Mera told her.
Magenta smiled but it faded when she saw a metahuman shoot up from the ground with flames erupting around his body. Hissing at the sight of him Frankie lashed out her hands and an array of post boxes launched from the asphalt and after the blazing metahuman.
They hit him and made him lose control of his flight. Magenta used that small opening and jumped off the wall. Forming a hammer in her right hand, she swung it after the evil metahuman and hit him, sending him down. Before he could connect with the ground, Frankie wrapped tendrils around his body.
Using his body as a mallet, she swung him around and into a group of metahumans. While her tendrils reformed her arm, she shot tendrils from her back and pulled herself into the bubble-like sphere around Mera.
The Atlantean clapped her hands while controlling the water tentacles around her. "Not bad, Frankie. Looks like you take after your dad."
"Well, according to my sister, Dad told us to lean to our Mom's side because… he might be bat-shit crazy." Frankie quipped.
"Having met your dad, then yeah, I'd lean to your Mom's for sure." Mera agreed.
Their attention was turned upwards when they saw a shine of light over their heads. They saw Eclipse shooting arrow after arrow at the metahumans in the skies, each one of them imbued with light to increase their speed. Because of their increased speed, they were almost impossible to avoid.
Mera looked behind and she saw a bunch of metahumans fly in her direction, pushed by an invisible force. Aiming her trident in that direction, she had the water tentacles lash into the air and grab the metahumans out of the air. Violently thrusting her trident into the ground, she slammed the evil metahumans into the ground.
Destroyer used her gravitational powers to levitate herself over to the Atlantean and her sisters. "Hope you weren't aiming them at me, kiddo." Mera crossed her arms, while still using her hydrokinesis to keep the water tentacles up and attacking everyone around them.
Ruby shook her head and landed on the ground within the bubble. "Don't worry, I'm not. But damn there's many of them." She panted at the sight of the metahumans attacking around them.
Aqua Queen used her powers to make the tentacles connect via their tips, forming a dome around them to protect them from outside long-range attacks that came from various directions. "Hope your team's taking care of things on their end."
"They are." Destroyer confidently nodded; she didn't doubt them. But she did doubt the viber's plan which involved cosplaying. Also, because it involved her mother playing a bad girl.
"Guys!" Evelyn shouted, appearing within the water dome.
"What?" Frankie asked her sister.
Evelyn didn't answer with her words, instead she looked upwards to answer. Her sisters and Mera followed the direction of her gaze and saw explosions erupting all over the rooftops around them. "What the hell is that?" The Atlantean asked in awe and fear.
"Must be that guy, Rajeet…" Eclipse analyzed the explosions and the colors she could see. "And our uncle."

Wings formed on Matt's back, flaring and propelling him out of the way as an array of bricks came flying his way. Iron Knight opened the panels on his shoulders and unleashed a cluster of small missiles. Spinning in the air, he watched as his explosive projectiles connected with the bricks.
He watched as his armored projectiles completely destroyed the bricks, turning them into dust that fell over the rooftop.
Matt turned his eyes to Rajeet who continued to sit cross-legged like a monk, floating in the air with his telekinesis. The nanite mutant watched the evil telekinetic flick two fingers, forcing various air-conditioning units off their latches. He made the units orbit around him while he kept his cold and almost lifeless eyes on Iron Knight.
"Not bad, Mummy." Matt said in mock impress. "But not enough to stop me!"
Iron Knight dove down, his hands forming into large blades. Orion launched one of the units around him.
Crossing his arms over his face, Matt outlashed his arms and cut the unit into pieces. Another air conditioner came flying at him. Iron Knight reformed his blades into a pair of long cannons and charged repulsor blasts before unleashing them. In rapid succession, he shot the second conditioner into pieces.
With the units out of the way, Matt increased his speed and thrust himself to the telekinetic's side. Clenching his hand, he ejected small white floating units from his back that circled around his arm. The units lashed out long repulsor blades.
With the increased momentum and the strength of his attack, he made it almost impossible for Orion to dodge. But he managed to use nearby lightning rods to block the incoming fist. But the blades surrounding his arm penetrated the metal poles, allowing both blades and fist to connect with Rajeet's chest and send him down on the ground.
Landing on the ground, while the blades around his arm retracted, Matt glared at the evil telekinetic who snapped himself up to a sitting. Through his HUD display, he zoomed in on his mouth and saw blood cover his stitches. Blood seeped down from the open wound on his forehead.
Rajeet grunted, hissed and growled through his bloodied stitches. Thrusting both his hands up, he surprised the nanite mutant by tearing up the ground with his telekinesis. Matt watched Orion levitate debris around him, which he then effortlessly sculpted into sharpened spikes.
He launched them at the nanite mutant. Matt crouched, thrusting out his right arm and formed a large rectangular shield that covered his entire body. The spikes flew at him a high speed and connected with his wide shield.
"Son of a bitch's good!" Matt growled to himself through the deafening sound of clash of rocks and metal. Lashing out his shield, he pushed the debris, jumping into the air, and aimed his hand at Rajeet.
But what he failed to see was the huge billboard that slammed into him from the side, sending Iron Knight to the ground. Before he could try and tear the sign to pieces, another one flew and landed onto the one already on top of him. Both signs tightened around his body, wrapping around his suit and lifting him into the air.
Matt grunted in pain when he felt their hold on him tighten. He felt his circuits spark as systems inside of his suit were crushed. "Jarvis, status!"
"53% of the armor's been damaged, sir!" Matt heard the AI reply. Another sparking sound echoed through his system. "57% and increasing, sir!"
"Yeah, got that, J!" Matt shouted. He tried to move his repulsors and his thrusters, but the constraining billboards around him kept him from moving. "Damn it!"
Orion showed a creepy smile as he used both hands to toughen the billboards around Iron Knight, who continued to scream in pain and suffered as his armor compressed from every single direction.
This was the end of the Iron Knight.
"Meow…"
Rajeet perked his head up at the sound of a cat purring.
"Calm down, sweetie."
Hearing the female voice behind him, Orion turned around and saw Olivia Fury-Stark behind him… holding an orange cat in her arms with green eyes. While stroking the cat, the psychic faced the other telekinetic. "Hiya big boy. Mind letting my husband go?"
Matt managed to compose himself enough to see his wife… with Goose. "Oh crap. Hope Seth's nowhere near this." He thought to himself.
Rajeet growled and fully faced the female psychic. Olivia groaned. "You don't wanna let him go?" She shrugged. "Fine. Goose… Go, girl."
Goose purred and nuzzled Olivia's forearm before jumping out of her arms. She slowly and curiously walked towards Orion. The orange cat stopped occasionally to lick its paw and rubbed its head. Growling at that pathetic house pet, Rajeet used his telekinesis to lift the cat up before him. As the cat opened its mouth, Rajeet considered what to do-
Before he could even think of what to do next, Goose opened her mouth to immense sizes and unleashed a multitude of massive tentacles. Too shocked by the tentacles, they wrapped themselves around Rajeet's body. The Flerken from Earth-616 slammed the telekinetic down on the ground repeatedly like a jackhammer.
With his focus disrupted the metahuman's telekinesis was deactivated, allowing Matt to come out of the billboard restraints. He landed on the ground and saw Goose continue her assault and almost make a chasm in the rooftop with Rajeet's body as a pickaxe.
"Goose that's enough, sweetheart." Olivia told the Flerken.
Upon her command, the tentacles stopped and pulled Orion back. Matt gagged in disgust when he saw the Flerken unhinge her jaws and actually swallow the evil metahuman. The tentacles retracted along with the metahuman before Goose closed her mouth again.
"Dear God." Matt said as he finally removed his helmet. Olivia picked up her cat and held it in her arms. "You had to bring Goose, of all things?"
The psychic narrowed her eyes. "She saved your life, mister. Show some gratitude." Olivia held Goose under her front legs and held it in front of her husband's face.
At that moment, Matt sweat more in the face of the orange cat than he did against Orion. Mostly because unlike the telekinetic, this cat could very well devour him and take him into the pocket dimension that is within the cat.
So… he showed gratitude. "Thanks Goose." Matt slowly, and carefully, stroked her head.
Olivia loved this. Both her husband and her brother are afraid of this sweet thing… and she couldn't wait to see her brother piss her pants in fear when seeing Goose again.
She's smiling like a sick hyena.

In unison, Seth and Venom felt a chill run down their spine. They hadn't felt something like that in years…
And they didn't like that at all.
Seeing a blue light come over their face, from his spot on the wall, Venom turned his eyes to the opposite building and saw Zoom pant in exhaust and pain on the rooftop.
Venom snarled. "Let's take him down."
"Let's."
He twirled his sword and jumped off the wall. Thrusting the blade downwards, he swung the evil speedster who dodged the attack gliding across the ground. Venom's arm crackled with lightning and he jumped after Zoom to bring down his arm like a hammer.
But Zoom avoided the attack and rolled on the ground. However, Venom lashed out his hand, wrapping his hand around his leg and swung the metahuman down on the ground. Before giving him another chance to get up, the elemental ignited bright red-orange flames around his foot and slammed it down on his back.
Zoom screamed in pain when he felt the foot repeatedly slam down on him. He tried to phase but a lightning-cloaked clawed hand grabbed him by the back, counteracting the speedster's phasing. Like a ragdoll, Seth hammered him down on the ground repeatedly.
Had this been a normal foe, they would have already turned into a flesh sack with nothing bone dust inside of it. The evil speedster pulled out of the grab somehow and jumped back on the ground. He watched the mutant dig his feet into the ground, anchoring him to the spot while reeling his right arm back.
Hunter then saw his appendage thrust in his direction before splitting into a wave of flaming black tendrils. Seeing the hulking tendrils come his way, Zoom tensed his body and vibrated his body into a state of phasing again.
Every single one of the tendrils traveled through his body, not damaging or hurting Zoom in any way. The tendrils spread around his phasing body. Looking around him, glaring at the surrounding tendrils he saw them try and wrap around his body. But Zoom backflipped out of the tendrils, still in a state of phasing.
While Venom retracted his tendrils, reforming his arm, he saw the evil speedster stop phasing. "Sick of cowering behind your phasing, Zolomon?" He taunted him, his long serpentine tongue lashing through the air.
"Someone's angry…" Zoom said with a chuckle rumbling at the back of his throat. "Oh yeah… we took your special friend, Caitlin…"
Seth saw red, his already deep-red eyes almost bursting into hellfire. "Don't say her name!" Wind and lightning burst out of his symbiotic body in an instant as he jumped off the ground and appeared in front of the metahuman.
Before Zoom could react, Venom ensnared his head with his adamantium hand and slammed him down on the ground. The rooftop itself almost split wide open because the immense enraged power Seth put behind his attack.
Tightening his hold on his head with flames igniting around his adamantium claws, Venom smelled the speedster's cowl burn. "You hurt our friends, family… our home… You hurt the woman we love… You hunt our children… Death… is too nice for you!"
With his partner's help, Seth noted that the marble hasn't shone a single time during this battle against Zoom. He hated that. But that wasn't gonna stop him from torturing this evil maniac with every single elemental weapon in his arsenal.
Raising his left hand which holds the crystal sword, black flames erupted around the entire blade. Zoom saw them and saw the elemental hold it up high like an executioner's scythe. He swung his abyssal flaming sword down on him.
To his fortune, Zoom managed to kick the underside of the mutant's arm and made him loosen his grip on him, allowing him to roll out of the way before the crystal sword could cleave through his body. The evil speedster panted and held the side of his head which was exposed due to the burnt opening that the elemental.
He looked at the area of impact that his sword made and saw the flames of darkness around the hole. "You got some anger issues, Seth." Hunter spoke with his normal voice.
"After this…" Venom turned his fang-like teeth into adamantium. "You won't have any issues at all…"
The dead don't have issues to deal with after all.

(S.T.A.R. Labs, Breach Room)
"Wowzah." Jesse said from the platform as she watched the live news footage on the screen in front of her. She and Henry stood on the platform in the Breach Room, her father, Iris and Joe stood in front of a large antenna-like machine.
Iris watched the battles erupting on the other screen and spoke. "Can't believe Seth brought all those metas over here…"
"He sure is good at making friends." Henry mused.
The Earth-2 scientist had another theory. "He probably scared them into joining this fight." He said while screwing the headset in his hands.
"He's the scariest guy on this Earth." Joe added.
Henry told Joe. "You sure have an interesting friend, Joe." The detective didn't disagree on that.
"All right!" Barry returned and walked into the Breach Room.
Glancing at him, Harrison said. "All right. Now we're synced up with… whatever the heck that thing is."
Joe sighed in relief. "Finally, something we're both baffled by."
Harry smirked. "I'm kidding. That, my friend, is a 75KTSB 40,000-watt reverberating sound amplifier designed to single out the operating frequency of every single Earth-2 being on this planet which, when contained and magnified by The Flash creating a sound pressure wall around the city, will render all of us Earth-2 beings unconscious."
Turning to his child, he threw her the headset. "Hence…" Harry held up his own protective headset. "The safety precautions."
Throughout the entire explanation, Joe had rolled his eyes. He locked eyes with Henry who admitted. "I'm baffled by it."
Iris inquired. "Why didn't you just use the ones that Matt and Cisco made? They're smaller, right?"
"They are. But West…" Harry shook his headset. "I made these and I'm gonna use them."
The others didn't know if that was a brag or not.
"Are we ready?" Barry asked.
Harrison nodded, putting on his headset. "Yes, we are."
"All right." Barry turned around and sped out of the facility.
Harry leant over the keyboard and via the monitor watched the Scarlet Speedster run around the city in a unique formation. "Here… We… Go." Joe looked at the screen as him and they saw the intensity of the sonic wall increase exponentially.

Inside of the construction site, Black Siren appeared to contemplate "Reverb's" offer.
She looked up to his eyes and walked forward. "If I were interested in forming an alliance with you two…" The cryer circled around the two. "What's your plan?"
Both Caitlin and Cisco turned confused, widening their eyes in shock at the question.
"Exactly?" Laurel continued.
"Reverb" answered, trying to uphold the air of confidence that his late doppelganger exuded. "We ambush Zoom once Venom's done with him, or until one of them dies. We take out whomever is left behind. With our three powers combined, not even Zoom or Venom will be able to stop us."
"Hmm." Black Siren smiled. "Well, I like the sound of that." She told the viber.
"Great." "Killer Frost" said.
"But are you okay with that, Frost?" Black Siren asked the frosty metahuman, shocking Caitlin but she managed to keep up appearances. "I mean, are you okay with me tearing that handsome boy crush of yours to pieces with my voice?" She ran her finger over her lips to empathize. "Are you really okay with him dying?"
If she had to speak her true feelings on the matter, then she would have denied every single thing that came out of the cryer's mouth just now. But she couldn't risk revealing her true identity to the woman who could shatter her completely with a single shout.
Keeping up the appearance as her evil doppelganger, she showed a villainous smirk. "Trust me I know that. But I think we can both agree Seth's gonna look good in chains after we're done with him."
"Not gonna argue with you on that one." Black Siren surprisingly agreed.
Cisco wondered what Seth did to attract so many bad girls... and he'd make sure to forget everything he just heard as soon as everything's done.
"Then let's go." Caitlin said.
Black Siren smirked, seemingly agreeing with the two metahumans she once worked with. She turned around. "There's just one more thing." Caitlin and Cisco watched her pick up a rusty pipe. "Reverb… Catch." She threw him the pipe.
"Reverb" lashed out his right hand and grabbed it.
At that, Laurel's smirk widened. "You know, all doppelgangers…" She threateningly walked closer to the others, who in turn stepped backwards. "They're mirror images of themselves. But you two, you didn't know that did you?"
Caitlin dropped all pretenses as she deduced out loud. "Reverb is left-handed."
"Well, I just… I just happened to… Catch it with my right- Run!" Cisco threw the pipe after the cryer before the two ran away.
Black Siren laughed at that pathetic attempt and walked after the two.
Caitlin and Cisco barely reached anywhere when they suddenly met a roadblock. "Oh no." Caitlin released in fear. They turned around to face the cryer who neared them. "What are we gonna do?"
Hearing Caitlin's words, Laurel said back. "I don't think that there's anything you can do." Appearing close to them, she was about to throw her head out to launch another sonic cry. At point blank, her cry would be able to tear through them with ease.
In a moment of like this, full of extreme stress, Cisco's instincts took over and he lashed out his fist… and to the shock of everyone there, a blue vibrational blast emanated from his fist, connecting with Black Siren's body, hurling her off her feet and sending her flying.
It did also send Cisco himself down to the ground as consequence.
Caitlin gaped her mouth in shock, snapping her head between the evil metahuman and Cisco. "What the what?"
Cisco looked at his hand as he slowly returned to his feet. "I don't know."
"Well, do it again!" Caitlin impatiently told her as Black Siren returned to her feet. Cisco lashed out his hand, trying to shoot out another vibe blast. But it didn't come. No matter how many times he tried to.
And Black Siren…
Grunted when a white cold blast came flying, hitting her right in the chest and sending her rolling on the ground.
Seeing that familiar ice blast, Cisco snapped his attention to Caitlin. "What the what, girl?! You got ice powers now?!"
"That wasn't me!" Caitlin shouted.
"Sorry, honey, that was my gift." Both Earth-1 beings perked their heads up in surprise at that distortive voice. They snapped their attention to the direction of the icy blast and saw Killer Frost walking out from the corner. She was clad in the same attire as Caitlin but without the jacket and instead wearing a long dark blue coat over her top.
Caitlin-1 widened her eyes. "Killer Frost? Y-Y-You're alive? How?"
Caitlin-2 faced her doppelganger with a smug look. "Guess that boyfriend of ours doesn't tell you everything."
"Seth knew about this?" She asked in confusion. "How?"
"And why are you saving us?" Cisco jumped in.
Killer Frost gave the two a look over, specifically her doppelganger's stylish attire. "Now that's what I call a wardrobe change, Caity. I'm impressed." She gave a mock applause.
"So, you're still alive?" Black Siren said in surprise. Killer Frost gave a nonchalant shrug. "And judging by that ice blast, guess you're not on my side anymore."
"Over the entire bad guys thing." Killer Frost emitted icy cold mist from her hands. "Gonna try out for the good guy thing now."
"Good." Black Siren sniped and thrusted her head out, shooting a sonic cry. Killer Frost lashed out her hands, shooting out an ice blast. The two attacks connected, canceling each other but not before freezing and breaking some parts of the flooring under.
"Holy Earth-2, your doppelganger's a saint." Cisco told Caitlin.
Chucklingly Caitlin-2 said. "First time anyone's ever called me that." She turned back to see Laurel ready another sonic cry but the icy metahuman uncrossed her arms, blasting out a collective ice blast at the floor. With her powers she froze flooring and made the cryer trip and fall.
Black Siren slid across the ice and into a pillar, making her groan in pain.
"Heels aren't the best on ice, are they?" Killer Frost taunted. Laurel lifted her hand and snarled.
"No, you don't!" Eclipse shouted, appearing out of the explosion of shadows. She jumped into the air, flipping over the cryer as she pulled back two arrows and let them fly. Both pierced into Black Siren's gown and pinned her to the ground.
"What the hell?" Black Siren shouted as she couldn't move now. Looking up she saw Evelyn standing beside her. "Oh, come on, you again?!"
"Hey." Killer Frost got her attention as she forced an ice fist around her right hand. "Pay attention!" She continued with a fist meeting the side of the cryer's face, knocking her out instantly.
"Holy crap." Caitlin walked up to her doppelganger's side while wearing a surprised look on her face. "Can't believe you just punched her like that."
"Huh, she owed me some money." Killer Frost smirked.
Pulling down her eye mask, Evelyn looked between the two Caitlins. She felt her eyes shifting between them so many times they almost shook their way out of her sockets.
Seeing her daughter's look, Caitlin told her. "Honey, I know it's weird, but… I had to."
"Sorry, Mom, but yeah, it's seriously, seriously weird." She agreed with her mother's words.
Suddenly, the earbuds in Evelyn and Killer Frost's ears shined with a blue light.
"What's going on there?" Evelyn directed as her mother's doppelganger's ears shone.
"Could say the same to you." Caitlin-2 nodded in the direction of the younger metahuman's ears.
But then a strange vibrating sound echoed through the building… perhaps the entire city.
The sound somehow made the unconscious Black Siren twist her head around in distress. "It's working." Caitlin realized their plan's working.
X
Seth took Zoom by his right arm and swung him around before throwing him into a building. The glass wall he was thrown into shattered into a million pieces as he was hurled through it. Before the elemental jumped after him, he looked into the far and saw flashes of yellow lightning.
And at the same time, he saw that multiple Earth-2 metahumans on Zoom's side fell to the ground while holding their heads.
"The plan's working." Venom smirked.
"Time to clean up then!" Seth heard his partner growl.
Venom nodded and jumped into the shattered opening that he made with Zoom's body. He landed inside of an office building floor. Office desks smashed into pieces and broken wheelchairs all around him.
As a precaution, he had the marble-size crystal slide out of his pocket dimension and slide into the palm of his left hand as his right hand's still wrapped around his sword.
Turning his attention up he saw Zoom staggeringly get back on his feet. Like the other evil Earth-2 beings outside, the speedster held his ears as the sonic attack kept on hurting him.
"Your race is over now Zoom!" Seth shouted, his voice booming through the floor.
Zoom glared at him. "Not by a long shot… Venom." He growled. While screaming in pain, he punched the air and somehow… opened a swirling breach.
It opened before his eyes and Venom realized what his plan was. Black flames erupted over his sword and he thrusted the flames after the breach.
But before they could ever connect with the trans-dimensional gateway, Zoom sped into it and ran away. The moment he passed through it; the breach closed, and the black flames continued onwards and hit an office chair.
"Damn you…" Seth growled.

(S.T.A.R. Labs)
"Wow, so this is your base of operations…" Mera admired the Cortex with the elemental mutant beside her. "Definitely better than Felicity's underground base."
"Yeah, not too shabby." Seth chuckled. "Although this place has done more harm than good to be honest."
"Even bad things tend to bring forth good things, you know." Mera smiled.
Seth nodded his agreement. After they watched the evil Earth-2 metahumans fall to the ground in pain because of the sonic attack they utilized, aside from Mera, the metahumans they fought alongside with helped The Flash round up all the evil metahumans. As that happened, Tony and Marcus helped their friends and moved throughout the battlefield, retrieving weapons that were dropped off.
At the thought of the metahumans Mera and the others brought along, Seth asked the Atlantean. "That reminds me, why didn't you guys bring more metahumans? Thought Felicity said a lot of your friends returned to Central City after Blackfire died?"
"They did, thankfully, but Felicity and I agreed that it'd be best if some of them stayed behind with the tech I sent over to protect the city." Mera answered. Gesturing to herself, she added. "Which is why I'm here and leading the army from Earth-2."
"Again, thanks for the help, Mera. I know things are probably crazy on Earth-2 and in Atlantis… so it means a lot to know you had my back on this." Seth expressed his gratitude.
Mera assured him with a smile. "Don't worry about that, we're friends." She chuckled and tapped her stomach. "But it's alright, really, I mean I was getting tired of comparing morning sickness sessions with Iris, to be honest."
The mutant's eyes snapped wide open and Mera smirked at his expanding eyes. "Yo-You-You're pregnant? Iris too?!" He practically screamed, counting his lucky stars that they were alone in the Cortex.
"Dear Lord. Now they're gonna have to deal with small humans running around and drawing on their walls." Venom said, apparently only seeing the negative aspects of this wonderful news. "Doesn't sound like a disagreement from you, pal!" The symbiote noted his host's thoughts.
Refusing to counter his partner for now, Seth turned his attention to his Atlantean friend. "Oh my God! Congratulations!" He hugged her.
"Thank you." Mera expressed.
Pulling out of the hug, Seth asked. "Congrats and- Wait. Iris is pregnant too?" He received a nod as response. "Wow."
"Oh yeah, she and Barry really took advantage of their stay in Atlantis." Mera chortled.
"Yeah." Seth agreed with a nod.
"Now, what are you two doing here?" Killer Frost got their attention as she entered the Cortex.
At the sight of the frosty metahuman, Mera said. "Seriously? Why are you here?"
"Sorry Fishy, but he's my boyfriend." Caitlin-2 said with a pout, nodding to the elemental.
Throwing his hands up, Seth countered. "Not your boyfriend, I'm your doppelganger's boyfriend."
"You mean the doppelganger who wore identical clothes as mine a couple of hours ago?" She countered with a teasing smile.
"What?" Seth definitely had to explore this piece of news.
"Horndog." Venom said.
Shaking his head, Seth said. "Don't know what that's about, but what brings you here, Frost?" Mera walked into one of the Cortex and into the side lab, leaving the two alone.
"Wanted to say… Thanks again." She walked closer to the mutant, her fingers raking up and down his arms. "Before I left."
Seth had a feeling she'd return to Earth-2… But he didn't know how to feel about it because she still has a face he loves.
"Expected you'd leave." Seth said.
"Thanks for saving me on Earth-2, Seth. It meant more than you'd ever know." She told him gratefully. "Shame I didn't get a chance to avenge Ronnie."
"Zoom ain't gone, not yet. I'll make sure he gets what's coming to him. He'll regret hurting my friends." Seth placed a hand on her shoulder. "And that includes you, Frost."
Caitlin Snow-2 smiled and gently pushed off his hand before stepping closer to him. She leant up and kissed his cheek. Playfully, she licked his flesh with a teasing smile on her face. "Thanks… And if things with Caity-"
"They're great." He interrupted her. "And really hope things are gonna go good for you, Caitlin. Take it from me and my Caitlin… Losing one chance at love doesn't mean you can't get another one."
"If I'm lucky enough to get another one, I'm gonna grab it and hold on it." Killer Frost assured the mutant. She teasingly pulled on his T-shirt. "Kinda hoping things with your Caity don't go so well, actually. Just so I can grab you… Maybe with some chains."
"Wow…" That image would haunt Seth for sure.
If there's one thing Killer Frost loves is that she can make someone shiver.
"What's going on here?" Olivia asked as she and her husband walked into the Cortex, seeing the Atlantean, Killer Frost and Seth in there.
Seth saw his daughters following his sister and his brother-in-law. "Just speaking with some friends."
"I'd hope so." Olivia teased with a mock look of suspicion aimed at her brother.
"Ha-ha." He quipped. "Where're the others?"
"Taking care of the meta dicks in the Pipeline." Answered Matt. "We're going down there later."
"Same." Seth jumped in.
Mera saw his daughters out of their suits, getting her first look at the magnekinetic. "Huh?"
"What?" Seth directed to the Atlantean.
Smiling widely, she said cheekily. "Nothing. Just that people won't think they're your daughters. They're too cute to be your girls."
"Hey!" Seth countered and his daughters laughed.
"Speaking of cute…" Olivia smiled widely and held up her hands, holding the orange Flerken in her hands. "Seth, say hey to Goose." The cat-like alien purred at the sight of the familiar elemental mutant.
Seth paled. "Why did you bring that thing here?!" He jumped backwards, putting distance between him and the alien while also taking a fighting stance. Mera, Killer Frost and Seth's three daughters think he's overreacting.
Olivia laughed at her brother's reaction.
Matt… he was the only one who understood his reaction.
Ruby narrowed her eyes, seeing her father's dramatic and drastic reaction to the cute feline pet. "Dad, seriously what's wrong?"
"It's just a cat, Dad." Evelyn said while stroking the sides of the cat's head, making it purr in delight.
"Trust me, honey that is no cat." Seth frantically shook his head.
"This is why we should have killed that feline monstrosity all those years ago!" Venom shouted.
Like her sisters, Frankie did find the orange cat cute and adorable and couldn't wait to hold it in her hands. But she felt an inner feeling that kept her anchored to her current spot like her body weighs the same as a freighter. "Magenta, what are you doing? I can feel you shaking inside of me, and not a fan of it."
"I don't think we should go near that pussy… I got a bad feeling." Magenta mentally gulped.
"Why?" Frankie asked.
"You're afraid of cats?" Mera asked of the elemental who've faced off against metahumans far more dangerous and worse than cats.
"Trust me, if you knew what that "cat" really is, then you'd be just as scared as me." He countered; his eyes trained on the Flerken. Olivia laughed at his reaction to Goose.
"Yo, guys!" Marcus shouted as he entered the Cortex. He and Tony walked into the room, holding at least dozens of high-tech firearms in their arms.
"We got a motherload right here!" Tony screamed and placed the firearms on the ground.
Goose turned his head at those weapons curiously.
"Where'd you get those, guys?" Mera gestured to the numerous firearms.
"Picked them off the ground." Tony bragged as he fist-bumped Marcus. "With these in our arsenal, we're gonna take back Central City on our Earth!"
Marcus smirked. "Yeah, Zoom ain't gonna know what's gonna hi-"
SCREAM
Screams and gasps filled the entire Cortex when Goose stretched open her mouth, lashing out her tentacles. The girls continued to scream at the sight of the tentacles striking like snakes. They traveled through the air and wrapped around the various weapons. Like it was her tongue, the tentacles retracted and pulled the high-tech weapons into her open mouth.
Everyone watched the cat-like alien close its mouth before sticking out its tongue and licking its whiskers.
Somehow Mera had her taken out her trident and aimed it at the cat in a fighting stance. "Holy…" She didn't know how to finish her sentence.
"Looks like you might wanna put your plan… on halt, maybe." Matt gulped.
"I told you!" Seth shouted, feeling his reaction is justified.
"Well… at least Rajeet's got some company now." Olivia joked, stroking her cat's stomach.
Ruby looked around. "Seriously?" She felt like slapping herself.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" Seth asked his daughter.
Gesturing around her, she answered. "Think Goose scared Evelyn into shadowporting and Frankie into turning invisible." She looked at the cat. "Aunt, don't bring that cat back here, alright?"
"I agree." Seth nodded. Matt gulped and agreed as well.
Before Olivia could counter, the Flerken in her arms regurgitated, spitting out a slimy shoe and half of a rifle. Everyone awkwardly and silently turned their attention to the two gooey items.
Caitlin-2 covered her mouth and gagged. "That's disgusting." She was sure she could see something other than blood sliding out of the shoe. All of a sudden, she was pretty adamant and sure on leaving Earth-1 and living as a good person on Earth-2…
Just to stay away from that monstrous cat.

(The Pipeline)
Cisco smirked as he stood in front of Black Siren's containment cell, wherein she tried to blast her way out with an elongated sonic cry that didn't even faze the cell in any possible way.
"What's that? I can't- I can't hear you through the double-paned soundproof glass." Cisco taunted as the cryer continued to attack the cell door from within. When she stopped, the viber continued. "It's- It's kind of hard to make out what you're saying."
Seth looked at Caitlin. "Can't believe you knew her doppelganger… and that you guys loved her."
"Forgot you didn't know her or ever met her." Caitlin recalled. "Yeah, she was great. She helped us a lot with Vandal Savage…" She smiled. "Where're the girls?" She asked.
"After a meeting with Goose, Frankie and Evelyn disappeared and Ruby's trying to find them with Liv and Matt." Seth answered.
Caitlin intertwined her fingers with his. "The other Earth-2ers left?"
"Yeah, they wanted to take back their city quickly and left. Thankfully…" Seth nodded to the hundreds of metahumans in Pipeline. "Earth-2 lost their evildoers by a margin."
She curiously asked him. "You gonna miss Killer Frost?" She bit her lower lip, in fear of what his answer might be.
But she didn't have to worry about it when he kissed her cheek and assured her with a wide loving smile. "No. Always gonna miss a friend and all, of course, but I have the Caitlin Snow I love and she's everything good to me." He kissed her lips.
Briefly pulling away from her mate, Caitlin kissed his face repeatedly. Seth was shocked at her displays of affection, but he smiled nonetheless and didn't stop her. "Wow. I missed you, too, Cait."
"Missed you more." Caitlin told her mate before kissing him quickly again. She slid an arm around his waist, and he reciprocated, wrapping his arm around her waist. While she placed her head against his shoulder, she thought about something and asked. "So, should we tell Sara and Captain Lance about her?"
Even though he did ignore most of their PDA, Barry heard Caitlin's question and stated. "No, I've seen what interacting with your family's doppelgangers can do."
"Barry's right." Seth nodded. "Besides, that's not even Laurel."
"No." Cisco agreed, walking towards them and pressed a finger on the tablet. "It's just a poor imitation."
"Pretty violent one on that." Seth added.
Cisco didn't disagree and looked at Caitlin. "Speaking of, that was a pretty good Killer Frost you did back there."
That made a question pop up in Seth's mind.
Caitlin said. "Guess I was in the right headspace to play a cold, vicious killer."
"A hotter one for sure." Seth teased. Caitlin playfully elbowed him, and he asked. "About that, how are you? Are you doing better? Are you okay?"
Even in his arms, she couldn't lie. "No." She gave him a smile. "But I think I'm gonna be." She looked between Barry and Cisco. "Being out there with you guys…" She looked at Seth. "With you and our daughters… Fighting metahumans, saving people… It's the first time I felt normal in a long time."
"Babe, that's a weird thing to say and that's coming from me." Seth stated, pointing a thumb at himself. Caitlin laughed and rolled her eyes and nuzzled into the hug that he tightened with his other arm wrapping around her.
"This is a group hug moment." Cisco joined the couple, hugging them both.
"It is." Barry joined the three.
"Really hope this isn't a usual thing." Venom announced in his host's head, he didn't like the hugs.
While in the hug, Seth asked Cisco. "Cisco, did you just suddenly happen to have identical suits as your evil doppelgangers living around, or what?"
Cisco… for the first time ever stopped talking.
X
"You sure you found my kids?" Seth said into his phone as he and Caitlin walked into their apartment loft. He spoke with his brother-in-law who's out and searching for Frankie and Evelyn. "Dude, hack into the satellites if you can't find them with your suit."
Caitlin laughed the entire time as they walked towards their home. Mostly on account of Seth shouting and insulting his brother-in-law and also because while he did either of those things, they'd get strange looks from their neighbors.
Not that they didn't already do that ever since Seth moved into the building.
After everything that happened last night, the couple returned to their home to change into some different clothes and just relish in the atmosphere in their home again. As they did that, the other mutants and their daughter Ruby looked for both Evelyn and Frankie.
Finding powered teenage girls in a big city… That's hard even for experienced agents.
Seth felt like slapping himself. "Matt, you hacked into the Pentagon on a dare at Xavier's school, you can hack into satellites for a second to find my daughters." He heard his response and said back. "Fine. Call me when you find them." He hung up and turned to Caitlin. "That dude doesn't like hard work after a war."
"Think after everything we've been through, everyone's feeling like skipping work." Caitlin rolled her shoulders and let out a sigh of relief. "Honestly, I could use a vacation after everything." She leant against the back of the couch, making something fall off the seat.
"Yeah, some time after everything here in Central City could be really good for us all." Seth agreed with his mate. "Think…" He trailed off when he noticed something at the feet of the couch.
"What?" Caitlin asked when he noticed him stopping mid-sentence.
Instead of using his words, Seth walked over to the couch and crouched down beside it. Caitlin followed him and crouched down beside him; both widened their eyes at the sight.
The two parents recognized Ruby's open black school bag on the ground, its contents spilling out of the bag and scattered around on the floor. The contents of which consists of numerous brochures and business cards…
All of them belong to boarding schools and colleges.
Reaching out for one, Caitlin took one of the brochures. "Mount Helena Boarding School…" She read the name out loud. "A boarding school…"
Seth picked up another pamphlet. "Flintwood Academy…" He read the name. "She got brochures for an all-boys academy?"
Caitlin looked confused and corrected him. "All-girls." Seth gave her a look. "Flintwood is an all-girls academy, Seth."
He took a look at the flyer again, reading the cover page. "Okay, must be another difference between 616 and this one. On that Earth, this place's an all-boys school." He got off track. "Sidetracked there, but why does she have all these flyers?" He picked up others and skimmed through them.
Caitlin returned to her full height, looking through other pamphlets in her hands. "Did she… Is she thinking of where she's going to colleges already? Or transferring to boarding schools?"
The thought of their daughter leaving them early terrified them. Sure, they knew she and the others would leave them at some point of course when they'd leave for colleges or whatever they have planned for after high school.
But knowing that they thought about going already… That scared the living hell of them.
"What are you two doing?" The parents snapped around and saw Evelyn standing behind them. Her markings slowly disappeared and the shadows around her evaporated.
"We could have asked you where you've been, young lady?" Seth asked.
Evelyn shivered. "Dad, there was a cat that had… tentacles and it ate weapons like they were cat food. That's messed up."
"She got a point." Caitlin agreed, she saw security footage from within the Cortex that displayed the Flerken's monster-like ability. But she chose to focus on the bigger issues. Waving the flyers in her hand to empathize, she asked her daughter. "Evelyn, honey, do you know why your sister has all these in her bag?"
"Is she thinking of going to a boarding school?" Asked a fear-struck Seth.
"Not exactly her thinking of attending." Evelyn vaguely answered. That response confused the parents greatly and they waited for her to explain.

(Wests' House)
Ruby laughed and laughed while speaking with her sister as the two of them helped set the table for a big dinner with the others. Evelyn hadn't arrived yet, neither had their parents for some reason. This entire dinner is a surprise for them all so they can enjoy a little victory after the war with Zoom.
Iris and Wally helped them set the table while Cisco and Joe exchanged alcoholic beverages. Jesse and Christina McGee spoke and conversed with Matt and Olivia on the couch and the recliners.
Frankie groaned in what could only be described as dramatic. "Okay, you can drop it now, sis. I know it's funny I ran away from a cat."
"A cute cat." Ruby continued to laugh. "You disappeared so quickly I thought you were the teleporter in the family."
"You saw what that thing did." Frankie whispered while placing knives and forks on the table. "That was scary."
Ruby had to agree on that, she stopped laughing. "Yeah… Where are Mom and Dad?"
The door swung open, and Seth and Caitlin walked into the household with Evelyn. "We're here, we're here, we're here. And we found our daughter." Seth announced while hugging his daughter who giggled.
Olivia looked at her brother, seeing him hold a paper bag in his right hand. "Oh yeah, forgot about you, bro." Seth resisted the urge to flip her the bird.
Caitlin chuckled. She stopped and saw Ruby wave at them. "Seth." She got his attention. "Talk to Rubs, would you?"
"You're not doing it with me?" He asked her in confusion.
Trying to compose herself as best as she could, Caitlin said. "I need to go to the bathroom really quick."
"Okay, give it hell." Seth said and Caitlin gave him a strange look. Realizing what he said, he said. "Yeah, that was weird. Just forget I said that… Please." He pleaded and walked over to his daughter.
With her mate walking away, Caitlin quickly ran up the stairs and made her way to the bathroom.
"Rubs." Seth got his daughter's attention. "Mind coming over here?" He reached into his inner pocket while she walked over to him.
"What is it, Dad?" She asked her father.
Taking a seat in recliners opposite from each other, Seth pulled out a flyer and held to his surprising daughter's expanding eyes. "Why didn't you tell your mother and me that you were scouted by scouts from both colleges and prestigious boarding schools?"
Ruby sent a glare to Evelyn who sent an apologetic look while moving away. She looked back to her father. "Dad I can explain."
"Honey… It's a big, big deal that these schools and colleges want you, sweetie." Seth made a gesture to Evelyn who tried to escape Ruby's scathing glare. "Why didn't you say-"
"Because I don't want to go to any of them." Ruby interrupted Seth. As confusion set in, she said. "I don't want to go boarding schools or colleges or think about them yet because you… You promised you'd take us all out on a vacation. Away from this hero business and just be a family for once."
"Seriously?" He asked in shock.
The former assassin nodded. "I only accepted those damn flyers because those scouts won't get out of my way otherwise."
"You know most would kill for a chance like this." Seth reminded her.
"But I don't want a chance like this." Ruby stated. "I want to go on a trip with my entire family, get out of the craziness in Central City, just for a week, maybe longer even… I don't wanna move away from my family until later in my life, I want to have a great memory with them. Away from this city, really."
"…" Seth didn't know what to say. But instead, he smiled widely and spoke. "Then how about after tonight, maybe tomorrow, you and your sisters brainstorm some ideas on where we can go to, for a vacation destination. Then share them with me and your Mom?"
"Anywhere?" Ruby inquired with another wide smile.
"Anywhere." He assured his daughter. Seth leant over and kissed her forehead. "Love you, baby. Glad you're not leaving."
"Me too, Dad." Ruby said back. After he pulled away, she looked around in search. "Where's Mom? Didn't she come with you and Evie?"
"She went to the bathroom. Think she's still up there." Seth gestured to the upper floor.
X
Caitlin covered her mouth...
Within the bathroom of the West household… she remained seated on the closed toilet…
Tears slid down her face, rolling off the edges and falling to the floor. She couldn't believe the results she saw on the small stick on her hand.
A wide smile graced her face.
Back at S.T.A.R. Labs she noticed a specific package that garnered her attention greatly… and that package she brought back to this household to use on herself right now.
And that same pregnancy test package is sitting on the bathroom sink and is open right now…
After she took a test herself.
Somehow Caitlin's smile expanded as she looked at the pregnancy test stick in her hand again… She saw the two lines on the stick again… and she chuckled and laughed…
She felt a multitude… galaxies… even universes of emotions that could barely contain the happy emotions… Of love and happiness, joy and hope… These emotions easily overwhelmed any form of euphoria someone could achieve through artificial products.
She was… Blessed limitlessly.
Caitlin Snow is pregnant… with Seth Fury's child.
And she is overjoyed.
X
Seth looked upwards, he briefly contemplated going up to check on Caitlin. But he knew if something happened, she'd be able to handle it herself. If something way worse revealed itself, she'd call him for aid, and he'd be there faster than a speeding bullet.
Until then, he had to take care of something else.
The elemental walked over to his sister who noticed him getting closer to him. "What's up, bro?"
"Keeping a promise." He handed her the plastic bag. She took it and opened it, eyes widening at the content.
She pulled out the two boxes of ice cream. "Cookies and cream ice cream." Olivia smiled like a child and pulled out two spoons from in the bag. "My favorite."
"Remember how we used to eat this back at Xavier's all the time?" He said while accepting one box and unscrewing the cap.
As she handed her brother a spoon Olivia said. "Yeah, you saved up your allowance from taking extra chores at the school and spent it all on ice cream for the two of us. Always hated you never bought your favorite." She said as she dug into the ice cream box.
"Who says I didn't?" He mused while eating a spoonful of ice.
"Seriously?" Olivia waved the ice cream box in his face. "This is your favorite?"
"Yeah. Well, before I bonded with Venom, then yeah it was." Seth said, taking a big spoon of ice cream and eating it. He coughed and gagged when he felt his partner poke his stomach with tendrils in retaliation. "And Venom's angry."
"Ha-ha." She laughed. Olivia formed a soft expression and spoke. "Bro, I know I haven't said it enough but thanks for everything that you did for me as a kid. You literally did everything for me and… I love you for that."
Seth rolled his eyes and wrapped his arm around his baby sister and pulled her close. "You're my sister, always and forever. That means you don't ever have to thank me. Being your brother is an amazing job and I freaking cherish it." He kissed her head.
"Yeah… But still thanks for everything, bro." She leant against his shoulder. "Bro…"
"Yeah?" He asked her.
Olivia shared a look with her husband, telling him that it's time to tell him of her secret.
But before he could continue, the front door opened up and Barry and Henry Allen entered. "What in the world? What is this?" He asked the entire room of people.
"Blame Iris." Cisco assigned the blame.
"Okay." Iris gestured to the former doctor. "I just figured that since Henry is officially back for good, we should celebrate. And we haven't actually celebrated Seth being back in our lives yet." She nodded to the elemental.
"Thanks Iris, you're my favorite West person now." Seth cheekily said and Joe gave him a dry look. "Sorry Josephine you've been replaced, and by your own daughter, no less."
"Feel like I should shoot you right now." Joe declared casually.
Iris playfully nudged her father's shoulder. She chuckled and added. "And since Zoom is gone and the city is quiet right now."
"Oh, I appreciate it, Iris. Thank you." Henry expressed happily.
The elemental got up from the couch and placed the ice cream box on the table. Olivia, while considering taking the rest of his ice cream, looked up and saw her brother's eyes wandering around the living room. "Bro, what's wrong?"
"Cait hasn't come down yet, I'll check on her." Seth walked over to the stairs. Turning around, he told his sister. "Liv you can have the rest of my ice." She smiled and accepted the offer wholeheartedly.
"You're wel-" Seth stopped mid-sentence when he saw his mate walk down the stairs and stop in front of him. "Wow, Cait, there you are."
Caitlin showed a surprisingly wide smile. "Course I am. silly. You looked for me?" She asked.
"I did, kinda, you were gone a long time, you know." He told her. The mutant held her hands. "Something happen up there that took up your time?"
"Something yeah…" Before he even had a chance to let confusion spread on his face, Caitlin kissed him deeply. "We'll talk later, it's important."
"Think we both know by now, you have my full attention at all times, Cait." Seth assured her. They kissed again. Separating from one another, they saw to their surprise, Henry and Christina McGee conversing. "What are the chances Dr. McGee might one day become Barry's stepmother?"
"That… would be… interesting to say the least." Caitlin unsurely replied.
"Let's hope he doesn't fall for her like he did with his sister." Venom cackled.
Seth didn't disagree with that and walked hand-in-hand with his mate to the table where their daughters are sitting. "Guess who I found?" He joked, pointing a finger to his mate.
"Hi, Mom." Ruby said.
Caitlin took a seat beside her daughter. "Your dad talked to you? About these… colleges and boarding schools?" She worriedly asked.
"Yeah, he did, Mom." Ruby nodded. "I'm not going anywhere… But Dad did give me and the others permission to brainstorm vacation destinations later on."
"Good." Caitlin surprised her daughters with her one-worded sentence. "But it better not be any crazy places, okay?" She sternly told her children.
"Promise, Mom." Evelyn assured her mother.
Frankie inquired gleefully. "Can we go someplace with looser drinking age limits?"
"No! / No!" Both parents immediately stated, putting a stop to that idea.
"Wow, guess my Dad's the fun parent." Magenta chortled.
The family of five shared a deep look before they burst into laughter.
Iris looked at the speedster while gesturing to his father and Dr. McGee. "I hope you don't mind that I invited Dr. McGee."
Standing behind Seth's chair, Barry looked across the room and peered at his father. "Seems like somebody's glad you did."
Seth smirked evilly. "Better play your cards right, Barr. Looks like your old man's finding you a new mother." He pointed at Christina.
"No, he's not." Barry argued.
"So, I guess you are invincible." Iris said to Barry.
"Told you. The Speed Force is with us." Barry patted Seth's shoulders, which made the mutant glare at him with symbiotic mass covering his eyes, aiming crimson red eyes at him. The speedster backed away, holding up his hands. "Sorry."
"Careful what you do, Allen. Speed Force or not, I can very well make you dead again without a particle accelerator." The black mass around his eyes retracted. His blue eyes peering lifelessly into his soul. "So, tread carefully."
Iris looked between the two powered males. "Can you maybe go a day without threatening him?"
"Too much work." Seth countered.
Barry continued, directing his next words to Iris. "Since I'm… Feeling extra invincible lately, what do you say you and I give this a shot?"
The reporter smiled. "Yeah, I would like that."
The elemental pitched in. "Not to be a jackass, you two mind moving this conversation somewhere. Cause you two are hell of weird."
"Calm down, Cataclysm." Iris joked and walked away.
"Happy for you, Barr." Seth told the speedster.
"Seriously?" He asked.
"Believe it or not, yeah, I am." Seth said with a smile. "And looks like you're not the only one to be happy for." He nodded to Jesse who walked over to Wally.
"So, is it true?" Jesse asked the former racer. "You saved The Flash's life?"
"Oh, I mean, I was just in the right place at the right time, just like Eclipse." Wally said back flirty.
Joe told his son cheerily. "Proud of you, Wally." Wally turned surprised by his father's words. "You did good."
"Thanks, Dad." Wally told his father.
Caitlin kissed Evelyn's head. "Proud of you too, honey." She told her daughter before getting up. "Gonna get soup ready."
"I'll come and give you a hand with that, milady." Seth said in a mock British accent and followed her into the kitchen. They entered the room, and she faced her mate. "Mind taking the turkey out of the oven, babe?"
"Course." He nodded and opened the oven. While tendrils picked up oven mitts, he asked Caitlin. "What did you want to talk about?" He took the juicy and hot turkey out.
She smiled widely. "Later, when it's just the two of us."
Normally he'd ask her about her vagueness and secrecy. But the smile on her face made his own face form one of his own.
"Alrighty." He picked up the turkey. "But don't make me interrogate you with handcuffs in a closed room." He winked and walked out of the room.
"No way in hell." Caitlin muttered to herself. She walked after her mate who placed the turkey on the table after entering the dining room. "Soup's on!" She announced once placing the soup bowl on the table.
"Hey!" Cisco said in excitement.
"Awesome, I'm starving!" Matt clapped his hands.
"Same!" Olivia got up with a hungry look.
Cisco added. "Taking out a city full of monsters makes a man hungry."
"Didn't he just cosplay this whole time?" Venom asked his host.
"Possibly." He responded while handing sodas to his daughters and a glass of champagne to his girlfriend. Seth saw his sister take a soda herself. Caitlin lowered her glass and took a soda too.
Joe took over. "First, a toast." He raised a glass of champagne and so did the others. Looking around the friends and family around him, he toasted. "To family."
"To family!" They all said in unison and sipped on their glasses and sodas.
"Yeah, that's my kind of toast, short and sweet." Cisco stated. "Let's eat."
"Awesome." Seth smiled.
Before moving to the table, however, Cisco lowered his glass… and he saw a vibe.
X
Cisco found himself in the same place as before… outside in the city and standing on the street…
…
He heard another flutter and thudding, turning downwards and unsurprisingly found more dead birds at his feet. "Oh. You guys. Great."
…
What's different about this vibe… is that now he saw dozens of other people screaming and running away…
…
Curiously, he turned around… and saw what they screamed of…
…
He paled…
…
Earth-2 is before his eyes… the city of Central City in ruins… and destroying and crushing… Black smoke rose to the skies… and a strange hole in the sky spiraled…
…
"Earth-2." Cisco said.
…
The ground shook from an earthquake and the bridge fell to pieces and the buildings followed shortly.
X
The viber returned from his vibe and gaped his mouth. "Holy crap…" He muttered.
"Cisco." Seth tried to speak to him. Recognizing the look on his face, he spoke a little louder. "Cisco, what did you see?"
"What is it?" Matt placed his hand on his shoulder.
Everyone else in the dining room looked to understand what's going on, but Wally didn't have the foggiest idea. "What do you mean "see"?"
"Cisco gets visions." Caitlin confessed.
"I don't understand." Cisco shook his head.
"What Cisco?" Joe asked the viber.
"Cisco, what's going on?" Evelyn asked.
His answer shocked her and everyone else in the room. "Earth-2 splitting in half. Straight down to the poles."
"What?" Evelyn asked in fear for her old home.
"Really?" Frankie asked.
Ruby didn't know what to say, she couldn't even open her mouth.
Cisco gulped. "Tell me I didn't just vibe the future. Please tell me I did not just see the end of the world!"
WHOOSH
Everyone heard the sound of lightning crackling and saw Zoom appear behind Henry Allen, wrapping his arm around his neck. Everyone looked shocked and their confusion from Cisco's vibe disappeared when they registered Zoom.
Barry's hands and feet sparked with yellow lightning.
Seth slithered symbiotic mass under his clothes.
Hunter Zolomon smirked while choking Henry. "Our story continues, Flash."
WHOOSH
He sped away with Henry. Barry sped after him, shocking Wally West at the sight of familiar yellow lightning.
"Henry!" Christina shouted.
"Oh, my God." Iris said.
Seth opened the window and jumped out of it, his form enveloping into Venom before shooting tendrils and swinging after him.
"Seth!" Caitlin called out after him.
X
WHOOSH
Barry came to a stop, standing in his old home, the one where his mother was killed by the Reverse-Flash. "Dad?" He called out, but didn't get any response. "Dad?" The Scarlet Speedster walked deeper into the room.
He found him…
Henry was held by Zoom who took off his cowl.
Hunter smiled, both at Barry's expression and also at Henry's shivering. "It's poetic, returning to your childhood home."
Barry was scared of what he might just do. "Jay. Don't do this." He pleaded, stepping closer and hoping to reach Hunter's humanity when he was Jay Garrick. "I'm begging you. I'm begging you! Take me. Kill me!" He offered himself on a plate.
"No!" Henry shouted.
Zoom showed an emotionless expression. "You still won't believe me that you and I are the same."
"Come on." Barry begged him.
"Barry, look at me, son." Henry got his attention.
Hunter countered. "So, I'm gonna have to make you believe me."
Henry added. "Whatever happens you have made me the happiest father…"
"Dad." Barry's eyes shined with tears.
"This time, you're gonna watch your parent die just like I did!" Hunter said.
"No, no!" Barry shouted.
"And this is what's gonna make you just like me!" Hunter removed his hands from Henry, placing his right hand on his shoulder to keep him in place while reeling back his left hand.
Henry managed to tell his son. "Your mother and I-"
"Jay!" Barry tried one last time.
PIERCE
But it fell on deaf ears when Hunter drove his vibrating hand through Henry's heart… His clawed hand sticking out the other side of his chest.
"NO!"
To be continued…
And that's a chapter, peeps!
Much like in the original storyline, Henry Allen meets his demise at the hands of Hunter Zolomon AKA Zoom, dying in front of his son, Barry Allen. Seth gave chase from the West household.
Seth had rescued Caitlin and returned home with her, safe and sound. Their family's reunited once more, thankfully. This eased the minds of the entire Snow-Fury clan.
They even managed to defeat Zoom and his army thanks to the aid of Seth's own Earth-2 metahuman friends… And one scary cat from Earth-1. Flerkens are weird like that, and scares our demon-like hero. But at least they got rid of Orion… But the Earth-2 metas lost their weapons that they got from the evildoers.
Though they couldn't cut off the snake's head this time, they did manage to shed away his protective armor-like skin that was Zoom's immense army.
Caitlin and Cisco helped out in their own way… Cosplaying as their Earth-2 evil doppelgangers, Killer Frost and Reverb. It therapeutic for Caitlin because it helped her reassemble what she was broken about her. Even though it did almost end up with her and Cisco being killed by Laurel Lance's evil doppelganger Black Siren. Thankfully, the real Killer Frost came to their rescue and saved the two cosplayers with her cryokinetic powers.
And, in the throes of victory, celebrating their triumph against Zoom and the Earth-2 evildoers… Caitlin got the greatest news of all… She figured out she's pregnant with Seth's child.
Now things are about to get closer and closer to the end.
Now, like I did with Enter the Demon, I have an important question for you all wonderful readers.
Since this story is one chapter away from reaching its end, I would like to know how many of you would like to see a Season 3 of this story. Either write your answers in a review or send me a PM on the site. I will take them into consideration and then write my decision in the last upcoming chapter, which is halfway done.
But chances are I might just continue onwards with the story to a Season 3 regardless, and hopefully, I hope you guys would love to see a Season 3 too.
Well write either a message and send it to me or a write review if you want to see that happen.
Stay tuned and until next time, peeps!
