Chapter 37….
At Metro Dusty was laying on the couch with Janet underneath a blanket that he had grabbed from the closet in his office when she suddenly put on her clothes and got up;" I have to go."
"Why?" asked dusty surprised and tried to pull her back into his arms;" It's not like you have anywhere to be right now."
"I can't stay here with you." answered his friend, pulling away from him;" I'm still married, Dusty. How do you think this will look if somebody were to walk in on us right now?"
"I locked the door. You don't have to worry about anybody walking in on us." smiled he;" Besides, your husband isn't going to be your husband for much longer and he is with somebody else too. There's no reason why you can't move on either."
"It's better if nobody finds out about this right now. I don't want anybody to know about what just happened here." sighed Janet;" Please tell me that you can understand that."
"What happened here just now has been the third time that this has happened, Janet. So can you really deny that there is something going on between us now?" asked her friend as he got dressed as well and put away the blanket;" I will treat you better then Jack did!"
"Please promise me that you will keep what happened between us quiet!" begged she worried;" Please? I need you to promise me! I don't want anybody to find out!"
"Alright, I will for now." promised Dusty with a sigh;" But you can't keep this hiding forever and I don't see why you should either."
"Thank you." smiled his friend as she kissed him quickly before walking away;" Bye."
A couple of hours later Jack was at the police station, trying to focus on work, when Margo showed up at his desk;" How did it go with Janet signing those divorce papers, Jack? Have you heard anything back from her?"
"She showed up on Carly's doorstep, ripped up the papers and told her to give on the message that it would be a cold day in hell before she would sign them." said he with a sigh;" Rosanna warned her to stay away from Carly from now on."
"Does that woman enjoy trouble or something?" asked Margo stunned;" What was she thinking going out to Carly's like that? She should count her lucky stars that she didn't end up with another bloody nose."
"That's only thanks to Rosanna being there." answered her friend;" I hope she stays away from Carly from now on. I'm the one she should be mad at and not Carly, Margo! It was my mistake to marry her."
"I know." replied she;" What are you going to do now that Janet has ripped up the papers?"
"Tom will draw up some new papers and try again." said Jack;" I am going to divorce her no matter how hard she tries to stop me. I want to be with Carly and my kids for the rest of my life and there's nothing that she can do to stop that!"
