My least favorite new character would have to be Maria or Robyn. Maria's basically Team RWBY's Uber driver (with the airships) and she doesn't do much else. She only held her own against Neo to make her do something. And I think Robyn's actions and constant bitching speak for themselves. But I see why you don't like Harriet.
I've never heard of Team America or the Film Actors Guild. So for as how they do on Remnant, your guess is as good as mine.

Did the Jedi deserve to be wiped out? My answer would have to be...not all of them. There were good people like Plo Koon who certainly didn't deserve to die. As for the Jedi who died when they ignored the signs of Order 66, they basically dug their own graves.
Dumbest decision in RWBY? In universe, I would say lying to Ironwood. Whatever happened to Qrow saying "Don't lie to him, Ruby. We're better than that,"? Out of universe, I would say splitting RWBY Volume 8. This is more of a personal reason, but I HATE seasons being cut in the middle. They may have good reasons right now with COVID-19, but I still hate the fact it's split.
As for your final question, I'd say yes. There are some things I can agree with everyone. For example, I agree with Ren saying they weren't ready to be Huntsmen. I mean, they were at school for like what, one semester? Sure, they can kill Grimm, but it's seems there's more to it than that. As for Ironwood, I think his solution would be a good temporary one. Get the Staff and Lamp to safety while the rest of Remnant fights Salem. It seems unlikely the Atlesian air fleet can join Atlas, so stay on the ground and help RWBY fight Salem. So, that's what I think about that.
