Amity looked around when the Purple smoke disappeared. That was only a spell that the Oracle Track can do, they use their Oracle Orb to summon a spirit that can transport them anywhere. She looked around and spotted the people that did it.
"You." Amity growled, "Don't you think you've done enough!?"
Odalia and Alador walked closer and Amity tried to shove Odalia away. Odalia grabbed Amity by her wrist and pulled her close.
"Do you want her to survive or not?" Odalia said.
"W-what?"
"We can save her. Do you want her to live?"
"I-I-I... yes." Amity said.
Alador picked her up and brought her to a room with a Healer's bed. Alador pulled out the arrow as slowly and carefully as possible. He then started removing her vest and shirt to see the full extent of the wound. He looked at Odalia.
"It pierced her heart. If I'm going to save her, I need a new one."
Odalia nodded and pulled Amity out of the room.
"W-wait! I can't leave her!"
"Amity, you aren't going to like what happens next. We have to replace her heart; we have to cut her chest open to do that." Odalia said.
"I... I was in the Healing Track, I can help!"
"Amity, please, let us do this. We can't have you there because you will be too distracted with every small thing that goes wrong."
Amity wanted to argue, but her mom had a point.
"Why are you helping her? You kidnapped us only a week ago." Amity said.
"We'll explain later, right now, I need to get her a new heart."
Odalia walked into another room and returned about thirty seconds later with a heart in a jar.
"Why do you just so happen to have a heart?" Amity asked.
"Don't ask." Odalia said before walking back into the room with Luz.
Amity sat in a chair. The heart her mom got was a witch's heart, she could tell because of the sac on it, but it looked used up. If... when Luz wakes up, she'll have a witch's heart, but still lack the ability to do magic. That's not what worried her, what worried her was, what will happen to Luz? Can a human even survive a heart transplant with a witch's heart? What will the side effects be?
"Amity?" Odalia said.
Amity looked up at her mother.
"Is Luz okay?"
"She's fine."
Amity hoped she was telling the truth, there was a lot of blood on her mother's dress.
"Then what is it?"
Odalia kneeled across from her daughter.
"Listen, I know this doesn't change all the bad things I've done, but... I hope, you'll at least give us the chance to make things right."
Amity thought about it for a minute.
"I'd have to talk about it with Luz." She said.
Odalia nodded and motioned for Amity to follow her. Amity got up and followed. She was led to Luz and Amity was relieved to see her breathing. She looked at Luz's chest and followed the fresh scar that went down to her stomach. Luz shifted a little and opened her eyes, weakly.
"A-A-Amity?"
Amity didn't even say anything, she just leaned over and gave Luz the biggest kiss she's ever given. She back away and gave Luz the chance to breathe.
"Amity?"
"Y-yes, Luz?"
"Where's my bra?" Luz asked, covering her bare chest with her arms.
"Uh... well, it's a long story."
These chapters have been dark, so I had to end this chapter with an inappropriate joke. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
