Hello all!

I hope you guys are spending time with your family today, making memories and bonding (this should be done on every day but...) instead of reading this. I had a great Family day, that's why this chapter is coming out after 9:00 pm (at least where I am.). I hope that you are all having a great family day as well.

I have a pole on my profile asking which story I should start next (don't worry I'm not abandoning BtG and Prosthetics (the pole asks which story I should start next (in fact after this chapter F&R will be going on a short hiatus so I can do a post on both BtG and Prosthetics.))) Please go vote!

in this chapter the queen dragon dies... and its brutal, I will leave a warning at the beginning of that portion.

anyway enjoy!

Chapter 37- "Dragon Island"

(Taryn/Tara's Perspective) (1)

"DRAGON RAID!" I called down to the main deck.

As soon as I said that the whole boat became a whirl of activity.

Small catapults were armed, crossbows were loaded and dragons rose up to protect their riders.

Hiccup, Thug Gory and Avery went up on their dragons. Cami and Heather stayed down here so they wouldn't hinder the other riders if the dragons had to trade blows.

The swarm of dragons stopped before the three dragons and their riders.

"If it comes to a fight… how experienced are Hiccup, Avery and Thug Gory?" I asked Cami and Heather

Cami quirked an eyebrow at me

"What?"

"What did you call Thuggory?" she asked

"Thug Gory." I answered

"It's one word." Heather said

"Oh…"

"Well Thuggory is a good fighter in any normal fight, and Hiccup has been flying Toothless for a little longer than Thuggory has and a lot longer than Avery." Cami explained

"So what you're saying is none of you have been in combat on dragonback?" I surmised.

"Unless fleeing from combat counts, yes." Heather answered

I sighed before taking the crossbow off my back and winding it up so it was extended.

I lifted it and aimed for the largest dragon in the swarm, a Timberjack.

The Timberjack moved to the front and hovered before Toothless.

Then a much smaller dragon approached Toothless as well, the smaller dragon hovered in front of the belly of the much larger Timberjack.

Hiccup seemed to be talking, presumably trying to calm the dragons similar to how a mother would try and calm a small child.

Hiccup then turns from the swarm after having calmed them and returns to us on the ship.

Thuggory and Avery remain above watching the swarm as they may not be hostile now but still seem anxious.

I turn to Hiccup who has just landed on the ship with Toothless, the small dragon flutters down a moment later.

"Norbert?" Hiccup asks

"Yes?" he inquires

"We are close to a Dragon's nest, where an evil queen resides. Would you be willing to end her reign?" Hiccup stated

"What would the end to this reign entail?" Norbert asked

Hiccup opened his mouth before stopping.

"Defeating Merciless will be difficult, if you do manage to, then the Dragons will be free of her control and raids as you call them will cease." an old raspy voice hissed.

I looked around for the source of the voice since no one I knew of on the ship was that old, had a raspy voice or hissed.

My eyes suddenly locked on the tiny dragon as many other crew members did as well.

"You can speak Norse…" Cami stated in shock

"Indeed I can." he replied in his raspy hiss of a voice

"You're a Dragon… that can speak and understand Norse?" Heather questioned again.

"Yes I am." the tiny dragon responded

"Do you have a norse name?" I asked the dragon

"No. I may understand and be able to speak words in norse however I am unable to understand how and why you name things. For example I am at a loss as to why this young man's parents would name their son 'Hiccup'. I am fairly certain a hiccup is an involuntary bodily function…" the tiny dragon explained

"Eh it's a long story…" Hiccup shrugged

All of us there who were vikings knew it wasn't a long story but we didn't push it.

"I assume your ability to speak norse is special?" Avery asked the tiny dragon

"Indeed it is, not many dragons are able to, fewer want to and even less manage to." he said

"Well I believe I've got a name for you, and just for you I'll explain it." Avery said

"Ok let's hear it." Thuggory urged

"Wodensfang!" Avery said dramatically

"So Woden is one of the gods we believe in, he's a very wise one, and well you're a dragon and dragons have fangs." she explained

"I quite like it… but now I must ask, how was Woden named if I have been named after his name?"

"Errmm… I'm not quite sure honestly?" Avery admitted

"Not to sound rude or disrespectful... But does it matter?" Thuggory asked

"I guess not." Wodensfang admitted

"Are you attacking us?" I asked

"No, we have instead been sent by our queen to raid the island predominantly occupied by females."

"That's my home!" declared Cami

"Why would killing your ruler be a good thing?" Hilda asked

"Our queen is not benevolent… in fact she is the opposite; our queen will eat subjects that fail her. She is nothing but gluttonous, lazy and evil." he replied

"If we are going to fight this dragon we need to know about her." Norbert stated

"Ah yes, of course. She is massive, heavily armed with scorching flames, a clubbed tail and massive claws. She is equally as armored; with skin thick enough to bathe in magma." Wodensfang explained

"How massive, like give us something we can picture? Titan Wing monstrous nightmare? Timberjack size? Titan wing Timberjack?" Norbert asked

"No… far larger, she is at least two times the size of this ship, maybe three." the Wodensfang corrected.

A random guard passed out at that, Avery gagged and nearly puked… I'll admit she had a better stomach than I did…

I wiped my mouth on my sleeve and looked up at the rest of the crew.

"How would we even kill something like that?" I panted

"I know not. I merely am asking if you'd be willing to try." the Wodensfang responded.

"We'll certainly try. To help save both our species." Hiccup declared

Our course had changed, we began following the Wodensfang's directions to the dragon's nest.

While we headed for what could be our last voyage Hiccup and the other dragon riders began to teach us how to work with the dragons, some were even taught to ride them. Me and my father among them.

Heather was the first to be 'chosen' by one of the dragons. The Timberjack approached her out of nowhere and somewhat begrudgingly lowered it's neck.

My father approached a Thunderdrum and surprisingly the flat dragon permitted him to get on.

Hiccup introduced me to a Changewing that seemed to like me only for what I could do for it, it would pur when I scratched it in its itchy spots, but then it'd growl and hiss and even spit its acid at me any time I came close and it didn't need me.

I tried bringing it fish to get on it's good side, it took the fish, swallowed it then sniffed me for more, when it realized I had no more it hissed and chased me away.

I stood far away from the bi-polar changewing, I stood on the opposite side leaning over the railing of the ship.

"You having dragon trouble?" Avery asked as she approached.

"Kinda." I admitted

"Well I haven't had Nurse for very long, but what I have learned is to help them, give them things they may need, like or want." she explained

"Yeah gee thanks, like I haven't done that already." I replied sarcastically.

She was silent for a moment. She came closer and rested her elbows on the railing and held her chin up with her hands.

The only sound to be heard was the chattering of the other crewmates and dragons and the waves of the sea… before Avery began speaking again.

"Is something wrong?" she asked as she slightly turned her head to look at me.

"Hiccup… asked if we were friends…" I said

"And you feel that's a bad thing?" she asked, her tone was questioning but not judging, merely confirmation whether she understood me or not.

"Yeah…" I confirmed

"May I ask why?" she asked calmly.

"...I … It's nothing." I lied as I stood and went to walk away.

She grabbed my upper arm and kept me from leaving.

"Please, tell me." she asked

"I told you it was nothing." I said warningly

"And I'm telling you it's not nothing." she retorted stubbornly.

I'm quite upset with her but both her dragon and the changewing that was supposed to be mine are stopping me from leaving. The changewing much more forcefully.

I roll my eyes and turn back to lean on the railing.

"Would you like to talk somewhere private?" Avery asked comfortingly

"We're on a boat, there isn't anywhere 'private'." I replied

"We have dragons." she reminded

"No you have dragons, I have an angry bi-polar flying chameleon with acid reflux." I snarled

The changewing hissed but made no move to harm me.

"I'm sure Nurse could carry both of us." she assured

"What about fighting the queen, won't we need every dragon to…" I started

"God's, woman! I can't help you unless you help yourself! She suddenly exclaims

She stopped and looked at me wide eyed

"I am so sorry! That was very unprofessional of me, please forgive my outburst..." she apologized.

I stood there speechless, either from her outburst or how quickly she apologized for it, I couldn't tell, it may very well have been from both.

"You're sure Nurse can carry us both?" I asked, interrupting her continued apology.

She stopped then looked at me and nodded.

She climbed on the three tailed dragon and then I climbed on behind her.

We took off from the ship with and flew up above the clouds.

"Well you must have some form of connection with him." she quipped

"What?" I asked

"Look behind us."

I did as she said and saw the changewing racing to catch up

"If you weren't bonded in some way then he wouldn't have followed." she explained

I remained silent; thinking about what to say.

The moment of silence was broken by Avery

"So… I'm not the best at the emotional or mental health stuff… but I'll try my best." she said(2)

"... I had friends, back on hysteria. And I feel as though I am giving them up, or replacing them if I become friendly with you or anyone else. Hiccup is not the one I'm mad with, I'm mad with myself… he only made me realize that I had become much more friendly with you guys then I had intended to, so I snapped and became as unfriendly as possible. That's why I've been avoiding not only Hiccup but the rest of you as well. You guys make me happy… and that scares me." I explained in an unusually soft and quiet voice.

"Would you like me to talk with the others, distance ourselves a bit?" she asked

"Mmm… no… The problem is I don't want to distance myself from you guys but can't bring myself to get close either." I replied

"Mmm… I'm sorry but psychology is not my forte." she admits and apologizes

"It's… it's alright. I'll push through." I sighed out

"I really wish I could help you more." she apologized for the umpteenth time.

I didn't reply to that for quite a while, we just flew above the ship before I decided to head back.

"We can go back now." I told her

"Alright." she replied

Then she guided Nurse back down to the ship.

We landed on the deck and we parted ways where I began equipping my gear; I placed my crossbow on my back, I finished Cami's switchblade as I called it (even though the tiny knife would do nothing to the queen based on Wodensfangs description.)

I wasn't quite sure what Hiccup and Avery's fighting styles were, if they even had any. Hiccup was a similar build to Heather, just with noticeably smaller muscles; not by much seeing as Heather wasn't super muscled either. Because of their similar size and builds I decided to make Hiccup and halberd as well. Avery on the otherhand, while having a similar build hers was more for running, Heathers was for strength and Hiccup was an inbetween. I had seen Johanne carry something he called katars?(3) or gatars? something like that. He explained that they were used for close combat, and quick fast attacks, he described it as punching with a knife strapped to the front of your fists. I decided to try and design a pair for Avery. The turned out a little wonky since I wasn't the best blacksmith and I was rebuilding them from memory, they'd work for a little while before having to be remade, fixed, or improved.

I left the workshop and brought each new weapon to the person they had been made for.

Cami was overly excited for something the size of a knife, but who was I to burst her happiness?

"OH MY GOODNESS IT LOOKS AWESOME!" she exclaimed

I smirked at her enthusiasm

I then approached Hiccup with the last weapon in my arms being his. He had just begun teaching another 'dragon training class', Heather and my father were already present. Their dragons stood behind them. Since I was already here I stayed and listened. He had just finished explaining that most dragons have a blind spot and giving examples of each of our dragons when I heard steps behind me, I glanced over my shoulder and saw the changewing approaching.

"Today you'll learn about guiding and targeting." Hiccup started

"First: guiding! please mount up." he commanded… or asked. You never could tell with him.

We all obeyed and climbed onto our respective dragons.

"Heather, Taryn, I'd like you to gently squeeze your knees, Norbert, I'd like you to gently tap your foot."

Me and Heather did as instructed and our dragons leapt up and hovered in the air.

"Errm… why do I do something different?" my dad asked

"Because your dragon doesn't quite have a neck to squeeze. Instead tap your foot gently in the direction you want to go." Hiccup instructed

Norbert did as told and the thunderdrum leapt into the air and hovered beside me and Heather.

"Hey Toothless c'mere bud." Hiccup called his draconic friend.

Toothless padded over and allowed Hiccup to climb onto the saddle.

"What is the purpose of the saddle?" Norbert asked

"Well much like a horse riding bareback can be uncomfortable for both yourself and the dragon, that's why we made saddles… unfortunately we did not have the resources aboard to make some. Or if we did I couldn't find them." Hiccup explained

"You could've asked, we've got some below deck. Probably buried behind all the food stocks." my dad told him.

We soon learned basic Aerial maneuvers; left, right, up, down, forward, back.

We even were taught how to target a point with our dragons blast type; roar for my father's Thunderdrum, fire for Heather's Timberjack and acid for my Changewing. And a plethora of others that the other dragons shared.

The four of us landed back on the deck of the ship and started to dismount. Hiccup was the first to be off and approached to help me down, I decided to get down on my own and declined his offer, he obliged and turned and helped Heather down. My father hopped off and landed in a crouch on the deck, he straightened up with a groan as he grabbed at the rear of his pants…

"Uggg... haven't had a wedgie this bad since me and Gobber wrestled at the thing so many years ago…" he mumbled.

"Way too much information dad." I called after him as he walked into his cabin.

"Aw shut up, there are far worse things ay' could've said." he retorted

"Like?" I yelled at him

"Like the last time I've seen someone else with a wedgie this bad was yer' mother nine months before ye were born!" He shouted over his shoulder.

The color drained from my face in disgust

"Eeeuuwwwwrrrrgggghhhh…" I shivered

Heather snickered while Hiccup looked equally disgusted if not more so.

"Norbert!" my mother screamed as she stormed up the stairs leading to the lower deck.

"Yes dear?" he asked

"What did you just say?" she growled

My father stopped and visibly paled.

"That you… have a nice… ummm… uhhh… rear?" he tried

"That's not what I heard…" she growled warningly.

"If I may?" Hiccup asked

My mother nodded.

"He told your daughter about your wedgie... nine months before Taryn was born." he explained sheepishly

"Norbert so help me I will castrate you with a blunt wooden spoon!" my mother yelled at him as he yelped and ran away from her.(4)

We all chuckled at seeing my father flee from his own wife.

I turned to talk with Hiccup and the rest of the group who had just walked over when I noticed something behind them.

"Guys… I think we're here." I told them as I noticed the large ominous wall of fog encasing the maze of sea stacks known as Helheim's gate.

They all turned to look at the entrance to the dragons nest.

Wodensfang flapped over and landed on Hiccup's shoulder.

"Prepare for the worst." he advised ominously.

We slowly guided the ship between the sea stacks, the dragons helped guide us; Shipwreck swam in the water around the ship and would push it away from any rocks. (Ironically he was preventing a shipwreck from occurring.) Nurse grabbed on to the Bowsprit with his tails and began to pull the ship through the fog, Heather on her timberjack alternated between pumping the sails full of air, and dispersing the fog. Toothless and my father's thunderdrum revealed the ability of echolocation. And they stood on the prow of the ship and were blasting soundwaves in different directions. Smoulder flew around the ship, I wasn't really sure what he was doing but he would demand to see your armor and weapons in a very draconic manner. Once he saw them he seemed to nod in satisfaction?

As for me, I was riding the Changewing who would scamper on the sea stacks alongside the ship, the dragon was invisible and concealed me with its wings. We did end up encountering a Storm cutter, a fairly rare dragon species that sported two pairs of wings, but Nurse quickly put it to sleep for a couple hours.

Suddenly all the dragons halted. And landed back on the deck, Shipwreck however remained below. Shipwreck pushed the ship at a very slow pace so as to make as little noise as possible.

Soon the ship rested on the pebbly shore that surrounded a large volcano. Shipwreck slunk out of the water and stood still so the water dripping off his back wasn't too loud. I hadn't noticed there was this weird vibrating hum permeating the air until it abruptly ended when my Father leapt off the side of the boat.

Toothless, Hiccup and Wodensfang flew around the volcano that stood before us, then once they had seen the outside they went in. The Changewing and I hunched over one of the sea stacks trying to make ourselves as small as possible.

Nurse sat in the bow with tails raised in a threat to any who dared harm Avery.

The Timberjack and the Thunderdrum were flying above the ship with Heather riding the Timberjack.

The riders who weren't riding their dragons, (being; Cami, Thuggory and my Father.) prepared to fight, Thuggory helped prepare a catapult, while my father made battle plans, Cami was at a small contraption my father made, Smoulder was there with her, overseeing its workmanship I assume. Many of my father's inventions didn't work, but the ones that do work tend to make me jealous that I wasn't the one to come up with it, if this one works then I'll be extremely jealous!

It was a small chair with pedals in front of it and a large cone coming out the front past the pedals. If it works it should scare large dragons away from it. It was designed with a smaller cone to scare away large dragons like Timberjacks and Scauldrons but Wodensfang explained the Queen was much larger, so using scrap pieces of metal we made the cone bigger, theoretically increasing the effect. However since it may affect our dragons it is only to be used as a last resort.

The catapults and soldiers were now in position so Thuggory and my father returned to their dragons.

Now all we had to do was wait for Hiccup, Cami seemed to be getting anxious by the second until they came shooting out of the volcano.

They flew over to us and hovered above everyone.

"Ummm… I'm not much for pep talks… so… Norbert can deal with it." he stated

My father being unprepared wasn't expecting this and didn't know what to say.

I rolled my eyes before guiding my Changewing in front of both of them.

"We will make this queen's blood flow like the lava she bathes in!" I rallied.

A great cheer rose from the people, I turned and smirked at my father and Hiccup who were surprised by the short rallying speech. Then I flew back to the side.

Then the command was given to launch the catapults.

Boulders struck the mountain side with enough force to make cracks throughout the steep cliffside. Toothless and Hiccup flew up into the top of the mountain. The banshee shriek of Toothless echoed loudly out of the top of the volcano, I'm fairly certain every tribe in the archipelago heard that and instinctively leapt onto their chests and threw their arms above their heads. The cracks in the wall flashed bluish purple before the cracked rocks exploded outwards and smoke and dust covered the newly created entrance.

Or for Hiccup, Toothless and the dragons swarming out of it, an exit.

The dragons didn't attack however, it seemed their fear of their own queen overcame their fear of us. A few of the braver dragons gathered around Wodensfang. Then a cloud came out of the gaping hole in the mountainside and floated over to Wodensfang.

Then a Roar echoed out the gaping hole, it shook the very earth, loosening rocks around the edges of the gash in the Mountain, it was even loud enough to disorientate most of the Dragons.

The two that weren't fazed by the roar were Smoulder and my Father's Thunderdrum.

A massive grey dragon burst from the mountain, enlarging the hole created by Toothless and the catapults. It was covered in these weird red spikes, it had two weird bumps on either side of its eye on both sides of its head, it also sported a very coral-like crown or crest that sprouted from the back of its head. It also had a large sharp pointed horn on the end of its nose.(5) The dragon was massive! With rocks tumbling down between her scales and five giant claws on each paw. It had a large clubbed tail with spikes protruding from it randomly, its back had a lot of small short stone-like-spines running down its spinal ridge. It seemed to be heavily scarred with scratches and scars, and it even had holes that revealed deeper layers of rock-like-skin

Our three new dragons; the Timberjack, Changewing and Thunderdrum all cowered at the beasts roar.

We all flew up into the air and began circling around the queens head.

She kept swinging her head to try to keep track of us. She got mad and flung her head straight up and made a tunnel of fire around us.

"Whoa… that's kinda cool." Thuggory remarked

"Not when we're the ones inside it!" Avery retorted.

"Well we can either go up or down." observed Heather.

"Not all of us can go up." Hiccup replied "Shipwreck, the Thunderdrum and the Changewing can't fly much higher than the clouds, those flames certainly extend past the clouds." Hiccup mentioned.

"Well, I aint flying down into that things mouth, even if you did convince me I can't!" she shouted from above us.

I realized Heather was not beside us, instead she was hovering much higher above us.

I realized why she was so high up when I noticed the size of the Timberjacks wings.

"Then that leaves us with one option..." my father realized

"...Fly through the flames." Hiccup finished for him.

"Yeah, that's a big fat no. I can heal you to an extent, flying through dragon flames is too much to handle, Honestly I can't even determine if we'd come out alive on the other side." Avery told us

"Well that's all three options debunked." I added snarkily.

We were silent, each of us kept glancing at the ever compressing walls of flames that encompassed us, Heather and her Timberjack kept having to hover higher and higher, while the tidal class dragons had even begun to change color… or lack of color, Shipwreck became grey and sage instead of black and dark green, the Thunderdrum had become more of a lavender color instead of a violet. Even dragons that weren't tidal class were being affected, my Changewing turned from crimson to a more rosey red. Toothless was panting, and Nurse looked pale.

Hiccup's face suddenly brightened, and not because of the proximity of the flames.

"...then we choose the fourth option!" he exclaimed excitedly.

Then he and Toothless suddenly dive bombed.

We all leaned over the side of our dragons in shock that he'd just give up and feed himself and his dragon to the queen.

Instead purple flames shot forth from Toothless' mouth and into the queen's mouth below.

The green gas that was being pumped into her throat burst into flames before it could leave her mouth and be ignited.

The flames stopped coming and the flaming tornado dissipated from the base up.

We leapt at the chance to be free from the fiery walls that held us captive for only a few moments but what felt like hours.

The queen coughed and snorted several times before rounding her rage filled eyes on us.

The Changewing camouflaged itself and flew perpendicular to the ground with its back behind it so I was not visible to the queen.

"Ok. Everyone knows how to use a dragon's weakness?" Hiccup asked

"Yep, lots of noise." Thuggory replied

"And Shot limit." I added

"Don't forget about blindspots!" Avery said

"Alright, Tidals; Thuggory, Norbert I want you two to fly beside the queen's head, stay in its blind spot and blast it. Avery, you're our medic. I want you to stay out of its focus and interfere only if you need to, we can't afford to lose you. Heather, we need you to burn as much of this queen as you can. Taryn, I want you to drop acid in random places, I want you to keep distracting it. Me and Toothless will make it hurt." Hiccup organized

-(i advise those of you who don't like death or injury to skip till the next point I saw so.)-

We all flew off to our places and began bombarding the queen with flames, sound, plasma and acid we were doing fairly well till the dragon roared and my dad shouted

"Ummm… Hiccup this thing no longer has a blind spot?!"

We looked down at the dragon, those weird bumps we had noticed actually turned out to be two extra sets of eyes.

"Give it one dad, you're right next to its eyes!"

"My dragon shoots sound, I don't see how sound can make someone blind?!" he retorted

I opened my mouth to reply snarkily before Nurse flew right down past me.

The scorpion like stingers sank deeply into the three eyes on the Queens right side.

"I've got you." Avery replied

Then the dragon began to rock and shake in agony and fury, Nurse's tails were dislodged from the dragon's ruined eyes and he was flung onto the dragon's head.

Avery was flung way over its head onto the other side of the dragon. Thuggory and Shipwreck swooped down to catch her, when they got her they looked up and saw the intimidating glare of the queen.

I was fairly far away from them and yet I saw all three of them swallow in fear.

The dragon opened its mouth to snap at them when suddenly a giant boom echoed across the archipelago yet again. The crown that adorned the massive queen's head had been shattered, pieces the size of a full grown viking rained down around her head.

The queen and nearly every one else was stunned. The queen stared down at the remains of her once crown. Then she reared her head back in self-righteous indignation and roared a blood curdling scream of anger, pain, vengeance and wrath.

Somehow Nurse not only managed to stay on the queen's head but also managed to catch three pieces of the shattered crown and held them in his tails and used them as clubs or hammers on the queen's skull. Me and the Changewing had been invisible for some time and decided to now fly down and fill this things nose with acid!

It shrieked yet again in pain and stormed towards us before we disappeared, since we had ruined the inside of its nose it could not smell us or see us. In that time Avery had been reunited with Nurse and ordered Nurse to break the queen's horn. Nurse obeyed and wrapped all three tails around the horn and began to pull while he started to torch the base of the horn.

You could tell it hurt since the queen was desperately trying to rip them apart with her claws, however every time she tried her claw was either rammed back by Shipwreck or held at bay by the force of the Thunderdrums roar. The banshee shriek was heard and we all looked up to see where Hiccup and Toothless were targeting, even the queen began frantically looking around on her left side trying to find them, seeing as Toothless was dive bombing from her right she wouldn't see them. Plasma lanced from Toothless' mouth and severed the horn from the nose.

She roared in anger at having lost both her adorning features and tried to bite at where on her right side she thought they may have been. She had completely forgotten about Nurse and Avery on her nose. So much so that she didn't even notice her own horn piercing her left cheek just below her eyes before it burst through into the inside of her mouth! She lifted a massive claw and slashed the horn and broke it so half of it fell in her mouth and the other half cracked on the ground. Nurse and Avery had had several close calls already and so they flew off to stay alive to care for those of us who would be injured. All the dragons flew up away from the queen as she was pelted with boulders, one even crushed the tiny remains of her horn. Heather flew under the beast and began slashing her legs and belly with her dragons wings, blood dripped from under the queen and from where her horn was, the rim of her nose bubbled from the caustic properties of the acid, tears fell from all three sets of eyes and blood poured from the back of her head where the crown once was. Out of the hole in her cheek she spat and salivated from, which would have been disgusting even if it weren't a giant evil enslaving dragon.

She turned to Shipwreck who kept rocketing into the side of her face. When she tried breathing fire on him part of it came out the hole in her cheek and blinded herself.

Shipwreck ducked down under the flames and flew beneath the queen, he veered to the left and met up with my father and his Thunderdrum. They flew away before turning around and flying head first at the queens front and back legs on her right side. Just as they crashed into her legs with enough force to make her lose her balance Toothless fired at her left side causing her to fall onto her right side. She raised a wing on the side that wasn't pinned beneath her massive bulk, she seemed to want to start flying to chase us. Heather and her Timberjack soon put an end to that idea by shredding the one visible wing. Heather also cut a slash in the middle of the three eyes on this side, I followed up by pouring acid into its third eye.

Norbert landed in front of the dragon and threw his ax in the air to decide whether he should kill it or let his Thunderdrum do it, if the black side landed down Nobert would use that side of the ax to kill the queen, if the gold side landed down then the Thunderdrum would kill her.

The queen seeing my father in front of her lurched her jaws forward and grabbed onto his right arm, she shook him around before letting go and flinging him away. Avery immediately flew over to where he landed, Ironically the ax continued to fall before the black end embedded itself in the queen's last remaining eye, killing her.

We all immediately flew over to where my father had been flung, what we saw wasn't good...

-(ok its all good now)-

what you need to know is: the queen is dead (as in there is no possible way the queen is gonna make another appearance) and Norbert is severely injured.

(1) I forgot to mention this last chapter but Taryn's name is... well: Taryn, but her close (Very close. Hiccup and the gang are nowhere near calling her this) friends and family will sometimes call her Tara.

(2) Yes Avery is a doctor, but she isn't a therapist. Kinda hinted at this when she caught Hiccup crying in the forge in chapter 34

(3) Katars a sort of knife, nightstick, brass knuckle hybrid. best way I can describe it is a knife that extends from your knuckles... like the thingies in the game Brawlhalla by the same name.

(4) this is a reference to another great story (you can tell I like to pay Homage to other great stories in small and random ways) this one is from the man from Berk by KE12 I highly recommend you go check out his work.

(5) what I noticed is the queen's horn is broken, and I wondered why: the queen has no predators. Toothless is the last night fury and Grimmel killed them all and he's not from near Berk so we can assume the NightFuries have never fought the queen until Toothless, also none of the other dragons are strong enough to fight the queen and cause that sort of damage, there are no Red death or Bewilderbeast bones that could hint at a previous attempt to take the throne, especially seeing as how the 2 of the 3 fights for dominance have resulted in the death of one member (Valka's Bewilderbeast vs Drago's Bewilderbeast and Toothless vs Red Death) so I realized that she probably would have no threat to her and therefore should be fairly uninjured.

Anyway! Paradox time!

is it possible for someone to know that they know nothing at all?
