Chapter 37: The Pirates Who Actually Do Something!

Somewhere near the coast of Japan, a robbery taking place. A few heroes were already dispatched and on the case. What got them on edge was not the robbery, but who was robbed. Promiment villains were either dying like flies or suddenly deciding to retire. After the death of One for All and canon's later reveals, people were reasonably still on edge. So, when Overhaul was killed…people were once again on edge. Ironically, some people were asking why the hell was not he not arrested sooner considering he made Quirk erasing bullets!

Izuku was called to aid in the investigation, and he had brought Iida and Shoto with them. The three were in their respective cars in a parking lot.

"Guys, they got a hit on the blood. He's in the Interdimensional Bounty listings." Izuku said getting the two of them's attention. "Sugino 'Sugarnose' Nui of…the Red Phoenix Pirates."

"Pirates? Why would pirates murder Overhaul?" Iida asked confusedly.

"I mean…they're pirate. They pillage and plunder." Shoto said as Izuku showed them the other wanted posters for the group. "Yeah...those are some big numbers."

"And we need to move to capture them. Because they murdered a villain, we can't exactly chase them across our borders if they leave it!" Izuku said determined.

The three got in their cars speeding off to aid. Meanwhile in an ordinary ambulance driving not too far away, Lydia was driving as Little Miss Marshemellow was patching up Sugarnose's arm.

"That bastard got me and nearly shredded my arm." Sugarnose scowled.

"Be lucky, he only got deep in the skin and didn't get bone." Little Miss Marshmellow said matting down the healing gunk on his shoulder. "Ok, I've stopped the bleeding, but you won't be using that arm, dear. Not for a while."

She swapped her gloves for fresh ones to continue to deal with the rest of the injuries as Fenix and Galette rode along.

"We could have been more careful. We got lucky we were able to hijack this ambulance…but it's only to be a matter of ti-" Fenix said getting a call from Cree.

He answered only for Cree to give him the news he dreaded.

"Shit, you ok?" Fenix asked. "Ok, if you're the ship with the others…then prepare for take off. We're on our way, Cree."

He hung up and looked to Lydia.

"It seems they're not aware of the other thing we did. Which is a good-SHIT!" Fenix said as an explosion rocked the ambulance veering to crash into a fire hydrant.

"What the hell happened?" Little Miss Marshmellow said as Sugarnose coughed in pain.

"Some fuckhead blonde slammed us with an explosion!"Lydia said coughing.

"Bakugo." Fenix said sensing out. "And he's two other dipshits with them."

"Come on out, or else I'll blow you up!"

"Fenix, can't you use Instan-"

"Not unless I want to risk them tracing it!" Fenix said as Galette put a hand on his shoulder. "Sis?"

"I got this. Focus on getting everyone else away, I'll get behind you." She said before going outside. "So you've caught us hero, but….there's one problem. You're outmatched for I have the power…over butter!"

This got Bakugo, Kirishima, and Denki laughing at her…just as she wanted. Few took her Devil Fruit powers seriously which is she loved. It made going through her handsigns easier.

"Butter Dragon Missile!" She screamed as butter materialized around her forming a massive dragon…made of butter.

She sent crashing down at the three to which Denki and Bakugo decided to counterattack not taking her 'attack' seriously. That went about as well as you expected. An explosion that sent those two fools flying with burnt butter all over the place. Galette did have roll out of the way from Kirishima's attack as she realized she did take her seriously. She did not want to kill him which threw lethal options out. She also did not want to waste time fighting him. She caught his next punch before slamming his head into the street encasing his head in butter to the street. He would be stuck, but still able to breathe.

"You won't get away from us, villain." Kirishima said as Denki and Bakugo slowly got up.

She sensed his sibling and his teammates before using Geppo to vanish leaving the three in shock…or in Bakugo's case, swearing. She caught up to them as Little Miss Marshmellow was carrying Sugarnose on his back.

"Damn it, I hate being using like this." Sugarnose snarled out.

"Sugino, dear. Calm down, we'll get through." Little Miss Marshmellow said to calm his nerves.

"More are coming. If we fly, we're sitting ducks. We can't go underground through the sewers." Fenix said as the group kept moving. "But…you think we could use a Henge?"

"Honestly, the only issue is Sugarnose." Galette said as he could not use his arm yet.

"You didn't carry any power-ups?" Little Miss Marshmellow asked.

"No. I gave them to Cree and the B-Team as I figured they would need it more. And it's a good thing I did seeing they are back at the ship." Fenix said activating the beacon. "Beira can get us, but we'll need to get a rooftop."

"I'll get a car." Lydia said going ahead.

Out of the alley, she found herself at a nearby convience store where a few cars were in the back lot, especially a delivery truck. The two drivers, she quickly knocked out her cane before tossing them aside.

"Pudding?" She said looking inside the truck. "Just like old times."

She got her teammate in as Fenix used a Henge to appear like the delivery driver before driving away with the van.

"Lydia, don't open the pudding." Fenix said annoying.

"We stole the truck, the puddings ours." She said as he rolled his eyes. "Don't got tapioca, but there's carmael pudding."

"Hand me a chocolate one." Sugarnose said.

At the same, Izuku along with Iida and Shoto found the wreckage of the ambulance with Bakugo freeing Kirishima.

"Why does the place smell like butter?" Iida said as Kirishima coughed.

"One of those pirates could control butter…and…"

"You underestimated them." Izuku said with a glare. "All of these pirates have decent to good bounties. We should not be taking them lightly. They're going to be want to get a new set of wheels. Hero Association and the Police are working towards blocking off roads and ports. We're going to need to move before they slip out of this country."

"I doubt they'll get far." Bakugo said.

"I noticed she was not trying to kill me." Kirishima said. "Just restrain me. I don't think they have any interest in murdering any of us."

"Of course not, they're not stupid. They don't want any more heat then what they already have. It's clear to me that these pirates were likely hired to kill Overhaul." Shoto remarked before going to his car. "Kirishima, you're with me."

"I'll take Denki." Izuku said not wanting to ride with Bakugo.

"Oh come on, Midoriya! I don't want Bakugo in my car, he's your best-" Iida said before Izuku sped away with Denki. "Midoriya!"

"Fine, your car sucks ass anyway!" Bakugo roared getting in Iida's car.

Fenix kept driving only to see a roadblock up ahead to which he got in line. The cop came up and Fenix resorted to his silver tounge.

"Look man, I gotta get these delivered. What's a pack of crazies going to do with a pudding truck?" Fenix lied as the cop laughed.

"Yeah, like that's going to happen." The cop said before letting them through.

Fenix was relived to be through and was already slipping out of the city to the countryside when the radio blared that…a delivery truck containing pudding was stolen. Fenix called Beira and told them to make the pickup…now!

"Finally, it's recharged!" Sugarnose said using his good arm to take out a circular disc. "Fenix! The vanish disc is ready to go."

Lydia tossed it to Fenix who smacked it on the dashoard causing the truck to go completely invisible along with them. With that he went off-road as he could see cops race past.

"Suckers." Fenix thought. "Just gotta keep our energy down."

Far enough into the woods, Fenix deactivated the disc and they all got out before he called up Beira.

"Nearing our location? Only need seven minutes and you need us to stay put. Gotcha." Fenix said before hanging up as Lydia taking out boxes of puddings.

"So, you know we obviously can't stay in Zen Kuro until the heat dies down?" Lydia said. "Aren't you a government goon?"

"Wasn't on the clock while I did this. Plus, considering half the shit several of the U.S. allies are guilty of…they're not going to hand me over because I murdered a child abuser who had it coming. Now if they knew the whole story, that's another question entirely." Fenix said with a wry grin.

"Just another minute." Little Miss Marshmellow said.

[4:00]

"Man, it's good to be able to move my arm again." Sugarnose said slightly moving the arm. "But we're still sitting du-Hey, make sure there's pudding for me. There better be chocolate vanilla swirl!"

Fenix was working on cleaning and readying his weapons just in case they had to fight.

They were on their phones surprised none of the heroes had found them.

"None of them learned to sense energy. That's kind of sad…" Lydia remarked. "I don't sense any of them."

"Looks like they're checking and raiding any warehouse and ports." Sugarnose said looking at his phone. "Don't they have a hero that can see the future?"

Fenix blinked and facepalmed.

"Shit!" Fenix snarled before sensing energy from a distance. "We got company. I'll deal with it."

"You got less than two minutes." Lydia said he tossed Sugarnose his captain's coat.

"I'll have it done in one." He said before flying off towards the source.

[Cues: SMG4 – Darkest Hour (Instrumental)]

Hawks was soaring the countryside only to see an energy cone around a figure before it stopped right in front him causing Hawks to fly to a stop.

"Fenix LaNico of the Red Phoenix Pirates. Have you come to surrender or-" Hawks said before Fenix punched him in the jaw. "Or not?"

"I can't be caught nor can I let you stop me. Don't take it personally if I have to hurt you." Fenix said determined. "No hard feelings."

"At least you're pretty polite for a pirate!" Hawks said firing a barrage of razor-sharp feathers.

SLING! SWIPE! SLASH! He slashed through them with his Blackjack Sword save for one that nicked his cheek drawing blood.

[1:15]

"You're good, but…" Fenix said swinging his sword slashing the air repeatedly to launch energy slashes at Hawks.

The winged hero provided his agilty even dodging every single attack before getting to his communicator.

"Yeah, I-"

Which was blown up to a well-timed finger beam from Fenix.

"Sorry, I can't let you do that." Fenix said descending to the ground. "Bye!"

[1:05]

Hawks was a bit peeved Fenix was running through the woods and flew after them. Hawks focused on one feather shots to snipe, but something would always get in the way.

"Damn, let me return fire!" Fenix said firing his own Hog Wild Handgun.

They were always close nearly getting the others, but the chase was still on. But the smoke bomb was when Hawks had enough.

He swooned down tackling Fenix to the ground…which got the captain to laugh at him.

[Music Ends]

"Hawks…don't you think something is wrong here?" Fenix said before laughing harder. "While you're here, I'm already back to my friends and about to leave. But you don't see me, you see four."

"See four? But there's only one-." Hawks said before 'Fenix' revealed himself to be a clone….an exploding one. "Wait…what just happened?"

Fenix made it just on time as the Retro Revival was quick to leaving Japan. Much to their relief, Japan did not get a description of their ship.

"So, how soon can we take off to space to find our client?" Fenix said as he was given back his captain's coat.

"I already called Adelle and Abigail. Abigail was not on the wanted list, but Adelle was. She's hiding out at Neo Bayview waiting for us." Shuraiya affirmed.

"Then tell her that she can Instant Transmission to us then." Fenix affirmed. "We need to leave this planet immediately."

Not too much later, she does arrive via the method. The Red Phoenix Pirate would make their leave right as another ship was on route for the planet.

(A/N: Why did the Red Phoenix Pirate just made a mockery out of HA and killed Overhaul? That answer will be revealed…but not in this fic. This is a tie-in to another fic, a light one. This is just to encourage you to consider my MHA fanwork. Enjoy the side-dish, now for the main meal!)
