Now to our young protagonist, Boruto was sitting at one of the cafes in the area with his friends.
The day had been hectic like usual and people were looking forward to the Tower becoming functional.
Boruto had been feeling a lot better now that he had come to the realization of his world. It wasn't an instant change but he could feel it slowly set in.
He was making conscious effort to avoid such wording and extend a hand towards his friends.
The things he had missed, he could notice now. He had forgotten that not all of them were blessed and meant to directly reach high point from birth as some had to struggle for it.
He knew that people needed it but he just didn't think that his friends would be among those people. In his feelings for them, he overestimated them and ignored reality.
These friends even with all the limitations of their genetics extended their hands to help him surpass his rivals. It meant a lot more once he understood this point and he decided to help them.
He didn't rush his path and decided to drag his friends up before they started hitting their limits.
Their growth wasn't bad, but unlike him they would hit the end earlier. Denki wasn't so bad since he was also financial well off but Iwabe was not in the same financial level.
Iwabe enjoyed the benefits of this friendship and did improve from what Boruto have him, but it wasn't fixed and he wouldn't ask since it made him feel bad.
Shikadai had already noticed and he had been helping Iwabe by providing him the food and materials for his training.
He had even helped him come up with strategies and training plans.
He had helped Denki with his planning and strategies as well.
Mitsuki wasn't very active outside of Boruto so he didn't anything except give advice sometimes.
Boruto decided to also help with the nutritional part and the training plan.
Shikadai was a long range and mid range specialist. He was a strategist and a completely different fighter than Iwabe and Denki.
So, Boruto decided to help them. The group always trained together, so this was for their alone time.
Boruto, Shikadai and Mitsuki had their expert parents to lead their training outside of the Academy but Iwabe and Denki didn't.
Iwabe was from an average family and he had already reached the level of his own father when Denki's father wasn't even a fighter.
Boruto had given advice before but in a non serious manner because he lacked awareness that they lacked what he had.
Now he took his time and gave a complete program for the duo. He already had information on all the people in his school. Information was a necessity for all battles as it allowed for counter attacks and ease of combat, so he never slacked off on getting what was necessary.
With that finished, the group decided to chill at the cafe.
"Is Juri not coming?" Mitsuki asked as he found it strange that she was missing for so long. She would usually stick to Boruto's side.
"Didn't you hear what happened today?" Iwabe asked as he drank his watermelon juice. His tone was playful and filled with fun.
"I was occupied." Mitsuki replied calmly as he remembered the poison creation class with Anko and how Shuten had cancelled everything he made.
Try being creative instead of just making it stronger but, don't feel so bad. I control reality while you are just a snake.
Shuten was an expert on poisons and other toxic substances. His body that could adapt to anything was rendered hapless with a single breath.
She had hit him with a very advanced Neurotoxin that cut connection between all the cells of the body.
Mitsuki respected Shuten a lot but this was the first time he had some kind of engagement with her and it was beyond his expectations.
He knew she was strong but her strength was always mysterious. She never seemed to show much of her powers and always changed her method of execution.
Those puple and red eyes that held profound knowledge had pushed him down.
It had reinforced the power of the siblings inside of him. Asura shouldn't be too far behind and it worried him that Boruto would be unable to win one on one.
These had made him forget to keep his ears open like usual or he would never miss something happening around them. It was his duty to be informed and help his leader.
Shikadai and Boruto felt that it wasn't normal but they didn't push him. Mitsuki wasn't the type that would never share his problems and drown in them. He would take some time and then share with Boruto like usual.
And if he did not, they will open him up.
"Surprising that something skipped your sensitive ears, must have been something." Iwabe wiggled his eye lashes suggestively.
"Sheesh, not everyone is like you. Bloody horn dog." Metal kicked his ass and clicked his tongue as he sipped on his banana shake.
Everyone looked at him.
"What?"
"What the heck man, I expected Boruto to do that so where did this come from?"
"You guys told me to be open about my problem, so I am practicing what I want openly." Metal responded quietly as he still had problem being very active and outgoing. He was so used to being sluggish socially and inactive that acting like this made him feel very nervous.
"So, this was the real Metal hiding behind that quiet demeanor. I am surprised. How many innocent girls did you bait with that innocent persona?" Boruto teased and couldn't help but smile.
"Don't forget his handsome face." Denki added.
Iwabe gave him a look, "You gay?"
"No, I am just stating a fact. Good looks man, good looks are needed to finish that complete picture. You can't forget his background and personal power." Denki elaborated as he pushed his glasses and took a sip from his strawberry shake.
He didn't need glasses once he started utilizing chakra. It was one of his equipment and it had become a habit to wear it all the time. It was part of his style just like how Boruto had an earring and Shikadai had a ring.
"Ignoring the professor, not bad Metal. Keep it up; we got your back bro." Iwabe extended his hand and playfully punished his shoulder.
"Thanks guys, but I will appreciate if you would avoid turning into scantily dressed girls or turning me into one."
"Naah, sorry but that breaks the bro code. We will continue to make your life difficult now and forever." Boruto rejected the applicant's plea in a formal tone.
"You guys can be the worst sometimes."
"That's life for you." Denki patted his shoulders in support.
"Back to the topic, Juri confessed and kissed Boruto in public."
"No no, she jumped him and kissed him before confessing." Denki fixed it for him.
"Sorry about that, so that's what happened and the whole academy was talking about it. Many girls are after our golden boy, so the guys are waiting for the war to start even if it's Juri." Iwabe nodded and continued with a excited tone.
"I see, I missed quite a lot. It is about to become hectic as Sumire has also confessed and there are other powerful contenders. What have you planned?" Mitsuki didn't joke about Boruto's problem like Iwabe and considered it seriously like usual.
Boruto looked down as he finished up his drink and picked up some French fries.
This was a complex topic especially since best friends for involved.
He didn't want to make it awkward between them or disrespect them.
He knew that some relationships broke completely because of such situations. That possibility was not acceptable.
He knew Juri since they were babies and breaking up now was just wrong.
But he couldn't just say yes when he didn't like her that way. It felt wrong, disingenuous.
"What do you guys think? I am lost." Boruto replied as he leaned back into his chair and looked at the open sky.
Shikadai expect as much but he couldn't say anything either since he had no experience. He didn't have anyone that he liked and just let time do its thing or let his mother help him with it.
"Why not say, yes? Juri is hot and sizzling. I would take both of them and show my manliness. Do it like your dad and take them both." Iwabe advised with a chuckle as he leaned forward and stared at him.
"Keep shut if that's what you got. I want real advice here." Boruto felt annoyed by those words. He knew polygamy was a choice but that wasn't a thing for everyone.
He knew his father married the others because of his goals and the reality of the time. He loved them now but he never intended for a harem.
Naruto didn't lie about his relationship to the kids and explained to them when they were old enough to understand. It helped them understand more about such things and how it wasn't a miracle but work that brought this result to fruition.
Boruto looked up to his father but he didn't want to be like him. He was not going to marry for politics. He was not going to marry more than one girl.
He was monogamous person, that's what he put to mind.
There was also the fact that Juri would break his limbs if he made that suggestion and even Sumire seems to give him a weird feeling. He was worried about both of them.
"Meh, your loss. Both are banging that I consider it a kiss for you bro."
"Thanks for your sympathy Iwabe but let's focus on the topic. I don't have any experience but why not go on dates with both of them for a month or so and see." Shikadai stopped Iwabe from talking as that guy had very open mind about such things. He was the horny one in the group and had been fascinated by the female body since the age of seven.
He was very active that he had multiple girlfriends his age and older than him. All of them were prime quality so any girl would want them.
They had good potential and we're set to be rich or extremely rich.
They had looks and style to go with it. Iwabe got engaged in such things for fun while the rest were more serious about these things or had no interest.
Denki still hadn't thought about it and it felt like he might end up getting married to an A.I.
Mitsuki felt that he would love to become a girl for Boruto that Shika thought he might do it sooner or later when he finally understood such things.
"You are welcome. And, not a bad suggestion. I am also doing the same thing, just going out with different girls until we hit it off. Though, I would love to get together with Shuten or Laura." Iwabe said in a dreamy tone.
"Asshole, stop looking at them like that or talk like that." Boruto felt cringe and slapped Iwabe with wind, causing him to fall backward.
"Come on bro, I haven't even said a thing and wouldn't you like it if we are brothers for real." Iwabe joked as he got up and laughed.
"No"
"I am hurt. How about Metal?"
"Hey, where did I come from?" Metal watched like usual and was shocked when his name came up.
"He has been looking at Hima."
"Lies, I like Shermie." Metal stood up and denied it, saying the name by mistake and he closed his mouth.
"Oooh, our boy got a crush." Boruto smiled as he covered his mouth.
"Who is Shermie?" Iwabe asked as he didn't know the person.
"She is part of a pop group and is already 18 years old. She is also one of Asura's chosen." Denki supplied as Shermie's hologram appeared on the table and it moved like her, making suggestive poses.
She was a tall woman with long red hair that covered up her eyes and was tied in a ponytail.
She wore classy light pink suit that stopped well before her knees. She wore light pink stylish long boots.
Boruto knew her as Asura had brought them home more than once.
She was very loyal to Asura.
"Sad puppy noises, that's all I got for you. Why look at Asura's woman?" Iwabe shook his head.
"Don't worry Metal, she isn't in love with him and Asura would never take her either." Boruto spoke up before Metal got his heart broken before it even started.
"Thanks" Metal calmed down and was happy that they didn't tease him about it.
"What have you decided, Boruto?" Mitsuki brought them back to the topic.
Boruto was silent for a time, "Let's try it."
"Good choice, maybe you will get a harem ending." Iwabe chuckled and winked at him.
Boruto didn't reply and just shook his head.
"Well, since that's over with, do you have any idea about approaching this topic?" Shika asked as he looked at his phone and saw a message from Wendy.
She wanted him to but her a ice cream from one of the brand shops here.
She must have already left and only remembered about it now.
She was playing with Erza, Lucy and Rias so be had to buy for all of them.
"That's why I have you guys, Iwabe share your knowledge now."
"As you wish, my prince."
"I am gonna murder you someday."
"I look forward to it."
The boys discussed about such things before splitting up after half an hour while the girls were also engaged in such a conversation.
A.n hope you enjoyed and comment.
I am taking it slow and covering each character. Even places and events get more cover up when they act take place but they can get a small mention before hand.
I hope you remember that characters here are smarter and mature In body and mind because of their special circumstances.
I don't like it when things lack logic and reason. This is very clear in Boruto, lack of logic I mean.
The world seems like a Utopia but this is realistic. Naruto after the war had the capability to make such a world and he had the resources for it. He had the power, he had evil sense, he had people, he had barriers, he had mind reading and he had seals etc.
It is actually unrealistic for anyone to actually write that Naruto was unable to form such a world. It shows that you lack understanding of how things work and you just want to write Naruto having artificial difficulties.
There is actually no reason for Naruto to fail and only reason exist in Boruto. Ishiki is the only actual reason but he doesn't interfere so the world would still be a Utopia. The Canon setting ignore everything to make such a world so that the new generation have some toys to play with, Bandits. The writers are too lazy to come up with something while keeping in mind how the setting should be.
People would still have evil thoughts but the thing is, with a world ruled by Naruto wouldn't have much reason for it and it would also scare people who just like being mean.
There is reason for evil in most cases, the other cases are rare.
I hope you guys actually realize that Boruto setting is very unrealistic. Harem here has an actual reason and is realistic unless you wanted Naruto to act very unlike his personality. He would have to actively ignore the sentiment of the people and his decision would put people in extreme paranoia. You have to think of one person with all the power and one decision from him means you could literally disappear that second.
In a complete ideal situation, people would love me trust but life isn't like that. In the real world people get scared of the smallest things and it doesn't have to be logical.
The marriage wasn't a solution but it was an appeasement to the people so he would have time to get their love and trust to very high levels so such steps won't be necessary later.
In Boruto the Introduction of Ishiki literally digs a hole in the story. Naruto story can not exist with Ishiki and the same goes for Boruto.
It's just like how Naruto manga was literally impossible. The story in Naruto can not take place because Obito could always just take back his eyes and complete the plan before Naruto even turned six. He didn't need the Akatsuki and Madara would have known that so would Zetsu.
The same way Ishiki could have just taken Naruto, Sasuke, Obito, Hashirama or Madara as a vessel and finished his plan long ago. He could have appeared during the war and eaten up Kaguya.
The writera didn't even give a reason and show that they lack common sense and logic, and sadly of you didn't notice it then you do as well.
In this story I gave a reason for his actions and it didn't take me time. I just sat down and started typing and it flew from my hands just like that because I kept in mind that I need logic and reasoning while the writers had thrown that aside from the first chapter.
It is unfortunate but most of us are okay with consuming subpar products. This manga could have been boycotted from the start and maybe we could have gotten a better story. It wouldn't have been completely realistic since it's shounen, and that means young boys. Kids of age 12 and less don't really have that much understanding of the world.
I will ask simple questions and it will get you where you stand.
Do you believe that a normal human can kill Naruto with a knife?
Do you believe that a normal human can kill Naruto with a gun?
Do you believe the real world army can kill Naruto?
If you believe yes for any of these questions than you la k basic logic and understanding. It means you do not have active thinking and are very lazy.
That's for the casual watchers who don't really think much while watching.
If you are one that thinks about it and are a fan of Naruto, and you believe this nonsense than you are dumb beyond reason.
Sadly, that's the only conclusion for people that believe such a thing.
I will explain. Writers showcase moments and highlight them for us to see. It happens in drama and action series.
Let's see the moments that were highlighted and show power.
In the wave arc, Haku moved so fast that a drop of water didn't reach the floor before he had attacked countless times.
This is a speed showing.
Sasuke's fireball against Kakashi in the genin exam created a crater but it didn't even scratch Haku's mirror.
Naruto's hit Haku through these mirrors with ease. It shows how powerful Naruto became physically with Kurama's chakra at this point.
In the Forest of death, Orochimaru's kids attacked team seven when our Sakura was awake. One of them had a sound attack that none could dodge.
Sasuke with curse mark casually saved Naruto and Sakura from a sound attack when he was 10 meters away from them. This shows that he was faster than sound.
In the fight against Gaara, Lee without weights created Sonic booms so it means faster than sound. He then outsped Gaara's sand. This is special because this sand can casually outspeed explosions.
Explosions are at least mach 20 to mach 35.
This meant Lee was at least faster than mach 20.
Neji was stronger and could fight Lee without weights and gates, meaning he was also on the same speed level.
Naruto could fight Neji and also outspeed Gaara's sand, so he was also faster than mach 20.
Sasuke was the same.
This speed increased as their power increased.
Kakashi was faster than a lightning strike, stated by Gai. That is mach 280.
Lightning going back up is 1/3 of light but when it's coming down it's around mach 280. This was done by a younger Kakashi. Itachi could outspeed this and he reacted to a lightning attack from Sasuke.
The lightning attack by Sasuke was actually faster than mach 280 as the speed was given by Kishi. 1/1000 of a second and the target was only 100 m far from it.
Th speed goes up again when Gai runs so fast that he pulls things towards him, meaning he is close to light speed.
Then Naruto and Sasuke show that lightning flow is frozen to them. When Madara attacked them with flowing lightning attack, senjustu meaning natural. It has at least the real speed or higher.
The lightning flowing back is one third of light but the duo showed that it was frozen to them.
Light speed was already introduced when Mabui used light speed Transportation for Tsunade and Ay. The two of the. Survived with minor injuries.
Then we finally had Madara used Light fang, a light beam attack that Naruto reacted from few inches away and kicked Madara. This put Naruto above light speed by a lot since it was such a shot distance.
Not every beam in fiction is light speed, which is why Daruis light circus isn't light speed nor are other beam attacks. This is true for all fiction. I hope you realize it or you lack simple understanding. Batman and Spiderman dodge beams, there are times when those beams are real and the scene is called plot induced stupidity. The writer wants it to happen so it happens.
It's like Sakura punching Kaguya and damaging her horn. I really hope you do not think this is a good scene. Sadly, many Sakura fans bring up this scene to show her power. It only shows your lack of comprehension.
Sakura was weaker than EMS Sasuke and would even have trouble with Sage mode Naruto from pain arc. She couldn't do a thing against Juubito. She couldn't do a thing against Madara. Naruto and Sasuke attacked Kaguya multiple times and were unable to break her horn, but somehow Sakura did it. Now you have to be really stupid to actually believe this is possible.
Even adult Sakura had trouble fighting a fake five tailed kyuubi. The one that fought Pain.
Do you actually understand the level of power difference involved?
I really hope you guys don't beleiy that Sakura is physically stronger than Naruto. Naruto with sage mode or Kurama mode is beyond her level by a long shot.
The destruction with physical attack isn't shown for Naruto just like how you don't see a Sonic booms or destruction of the surrounding everytime he moves.
Sakura only has physical strength to contriy so they have to show that destruction or it won't look appealing.
All this speed means the body has to be strong enough to handle it. A human body can not survive moving at sound speed so beyond that is pipe dream.
Naruto casually erases Mountains and metoers that dwarf mountain ranges.
He has destroyed barriers that can survive the moon getting destroyed with a weal attack.
A nuke can not erase a mountain, you can check if you want. City is easier to destroy since buildings are not a solid mass of rocks like mountains.
And Naruto can throw around attacks that can do so much damage and he can took those attacks.
In the last movie, Narutos chakra exploded on his body. He had zero protection and the explosion erased miles of land. This was stronger than a nuke and he had zero actual damage. He lost conciousness because his chakra exploded.
Even as a kid, Naruto took no damage from Gaara's sand bullets that tore through giant trees or when he slammed into things at extreme speeds.
Naruto avoiding or taking damage from a kunai or sword only means that the weapon Is durable and the user is strong enough to fight him.
Cold weapons are used in such settings because they depend on the user unlike guns that have fixed power.
This is just a simple thing but seem to miss so many people that it pisses me off. Not just for Naruto but other series as well.
I hope you now understand how to know where a character stands and why Naruto would fodderize the real world.
This is my criticism of the writing and does not mean I think less of Kishimoto or anything. I understand that there are factors that I am unaware of that could be involved. The culture is different. Jump's policies and the fact that the story is shounen.
Stories can be entertaining even when they lack logic but this is done in low doses or I personally can not not enjoy it.
The Obito problem happened in the end section of Naruto, as his powers were not explored before. By this time Kishi was pretty much done, he was too tired. I think he really should have taken a break earlier and the story might have been a lot better.
This is very clear because he ended up in the hospital. He literally created a big hole that cancels his story.
Then the Jump was too greedy and asked him to continue, to give them Boruto. He should not have written it at that point because he ended up self inserting into Naruto. He gave Naruto the problems he was having with his life and not what Naruto would really have.
He didn't even give a shit about setting by this point. Shin arc was written by Kishimoto, just so you realize. It was one of the worst things ever written and filled with plot induced stupidity. This is the writing style for the rest of Boruto and it started with Kishi, meaning villains with poor planning and motivations that are complete fodder but Naruto and Sasuke don't finish them in a single hit. Seriously, Naruto and Sasuke didn't finish this person with a single glance when Shin literally had difficulty fighting Sakura. This is what happens when you are too damn tired to give a shit, power levels of characters are thrown away and you right whatever comes to mind.
Kishi took a break for an year or so and then started a new story, samurai 8. The art was really terrible and the story, sigh. He really needs more break and practice, and give him an editor because he needs one. The new story threw away anything good from Naruto and doubled down on bad writing practices.
The story got cancelled and I don't understand what he was thinking. The idea was good but the implementation was terrible. He literally brought one of the strongest villain of the setting in the start of the story, how can you do that?
It's like Madara attacking Naruto in the Wave arc.
I really like his ideas and I only wish that he would move from shounen to seinin or at least make his story more serious. Kishi's stories are not light hearted and him not going deeper into the topics hurt the stories.
Not many characters have such strong goals as Naruto and the Otsutsuki side was hated by many but I love it because it opens the story to a bigger world.
Kishi could literally just keep on writing Naruto like One Piece and Detective Conan, and people would love it. He never needed to end it because he had so much left to cover. There is no end to what he can actually cover.
He could have extended the kid Naruto part of the story. We could have mission after the wave arc. We could have arcs with Jiraiya and Naruto traveling the world.
We could have multiple arcs after the war. We can have so many different arcs in space and other dimensions but they are being ignored.
Kishi and these new writers literally forgot about Jashin. There was never a conclusion to Jashin in Naruto. There is literally a death cult in the world and the story can only focus on trash tier bandits.
I don't really have hopes for better writing because I don't see a reason. Kishi already proved that his skills dropped while the current writers are just talentless hacks. If they were writing their own stories, it would have flopped already. Boruto still running on the Naruto name and would have died within the first few chapters if it was original. You really need to understand how cut throat the manga industry is. Better manga have been dropped because of low sells, Boruto sells on Naruto's name.
I don't want to believe that people's taste has devolved so much. But then I remember that some people actually like Pokemon and Dragon ball super as adults, so maybe not. Yeah, people just have shit taste so bad stories like this continue to sell and people complain why companies continue to churn shit.
If you continue to eat everything they throw at you then those companies have no reason to try better. Why should they waste money on making better stories when lazy cash grab stories sell so well. This is true for everything.
