Ciri tries to handle the situation, to keep her crumbling family in one piece. But nothing lasts forever. Part five of my little head canon, won't make sense if you haven't read the other ones. 37. Epilogue

Years later, when the tales of the White Wolf and the Child Surprise had long since been forgotten, a group of explorers found the ancient ruins. There, under an old apple tree, they found the two gravestones, both crumbling and taken over by vines. Only one of them was legible. It said:

The sword of destiny has two edges.

You are one of them.

Here lies Ciri,

Beloved daughter, sister and partner.

One of the explorers cut a blooming branch from the apple tree and laid it down on the woman's grave before hurrying after his friends to explore the ruins.
