Chapter 37

Ana

"Ana baby I need to go to speak with the keeper of Tartarus. Asmodeous cannot be harmed until we figure out what is going on, I won't have Ava hurt." Christian kissed Ana before shimmering out with Abaddon.

Ana was left standing with a feeling of dread that made her feel sick. She could see that the twins were happily watching the Teletubbies with a rusk in one hand that she saw they would put down to pick up their bottle they were alternating between the two and they did everything identically. She smiled walking over to the sofa before sitting down.

She hated that Christian had to go to that place even just standing at the gateway was terrifying she just hoped that he didn't have to go in there it was the stuff of nightmares and the fact that Ava was seeing that place in her dreams made her feel sick.

Picking up her phone she dialled for her Mom. "Hi Mom I need to talk to you."

"Ana sweetie what's wrong is everything ok?" She could hear the concern in her voice.

"I'm Ok Mom I just found something out about Ava and I wanted to see if you knew anything."

"Ok what is it is she ok?" Ana took a deep breath before going into everything she had found out. Once she had finished her Mom was silent on the other end of the phone.

"Mom are you there?"

"Yes honey I'm here, Ana if Pythia thinks that Ava has the same or similar ability to her then it would explain how Ava is seeing things but I don't think that she is seeing the future. I think that they have tapped into what ever power they sensed in Ava and used it to create the connection . However the thing that concerns me is that right now she is only seeing things Asmodeous is seeing my guess is it's only a matter of time before she is feeling the things that he is feeling as well ."

"Why would anyone do that though Mom she is just a kid and why her why not someone else?" Ana was getting more and more confused by the second by this situation.

"If Ava has the powers Pythia said she has then she would be the easiest target for Lilith and Asmodeous. She is young she doesn't yet know that she even possess any magic so she wouldn't think anything was wrong let alone come and tell anyone. Also the ability to see the future is a psychic power those with psychic abilities are the only beings that can be linked to other beings. However they are usually given other powers to protect themselves against this type of magic. Powers Ava doesn't seem to possess yet."

" So you think Lilith helped Asmodeous do this?"

"Absolutely there isn't a doubt in my mind that Lilith has done this. Her death wouldn't have broken that link, only strengthened it. My guess is the visons she is getting via the link will soon manifest physically. Ana we have to do something to stop this." Ana felt the rage building within, with it She could feel herself changing her hair was longer and flowing around her like it had a life of it's own. Everything around seemed so much brighter. She could taste the bitter taste of anger on her tongue. The next question she asked her Mom came out in a voice she didn't recognise.

"Christian is putting a stop to what is happening to Asmodeous now but I need to know Mom would she have know what would happen if she died? Would she have known that the connection between Ava and Asmodeous would have become stronger with her death?" She knew the answer she just needed to hear it from someone else.

"I would imagine she knew yes. I would imagine their thought process would have been, if they couldn't hurt you physically they would get to you some other way. To punish you for what they knew was to come. They found Ava to be the easiest target because of her psychic abilities. They knew how much you love your family and how much seeing your niece in pain would have killed you. They also knew that Christian seeing this would have killed him. I'm sure their thought process was if they were going to be tortured so would you. Luckily thanks to Ava drawing what she saw you have time to stop it."

"I'm a fucking idiot I played right into her hands. She nearly got what she wanted she nearly got revenge on us all while she gets to be at peace in heaven. That fucking bitch I will drag her from heaven myself and personally spend an eternity torturing her ."

"Sweetheart what are you going to do?" She could hear the fear and caution in her Moms voice.

"I need you to go and see what else Ava has drawn Mom and make sure she is ok. I need to go to Christian." Ana was shaking with rage. They thought they were going to hurt her niece. They would wish they had never set eyes on Ana by the time she was done. She hung the phone up before shouting for Beal who turned up with Huldah, Artemis and Apollo they all looked like they were ready for a fight.

"Ana what's wrong what's happened? and why do you look like that?" Artemis said looking around the room for any danger. She looked at herself and sure enough she had changed into her other form. She didn't care she needed to see Christian.

"Beal take me to Christian the rest of you look after the twins. My sister may come up so no magic unless it's necessary please." With that Ana and Beal shimmered out. Eventually making it to Christians throne room that was packed full of demons. As she walked in she kept her head held high walking with purpose she was way to fucking angry to feel fear at seeing the beings in front of her. What she hadn't been expecting was for them to not only part to let her through but they all bowed down to her out of respect. All but one cloaked figure in the far corner of the room. She didn't have time to give that much thought she needed to talk to Christian.

Once they reached the door to the room that had the gate to Tartarus she could hear Christian talking to the keeper who was telling Christian that what was being done to Asmodeous couldn't be stopped, which only added to her rage to build.

Pushing the door open so hard it almost came of it's hinges she looked straight at the keeper. "Keeper you will stop the torture being done to Asmodeous or I swear I will end you." She growled this in her new voice. Shock visible on Christian and Abaddon's faces.

"You can't kill me I am the keeper of Tartarus if you kill me who will watch the Gates?" He spat at her still not showing her his face.

Oh this fucker thought she wouldn't do it. Why weren't people getting that she would kill anyone to protect her family. "Keeper believe me I will kill you in a heart beat and watch the gates to Tartarus myself if I have to. STOP. WHAT. YOU. ARE. DOING. TO. ASMODEOUS. NOW!." Everyone stepped back from her causing her to look down at herself to see that orange flames were covering any skin she could see. She looked back up seeing the keeper trying to sneak away.

"DON'T FUCKING MOVE." She shouted in her other voice the keeper instantly froze he looked like he was trying to move but couldn't. Good she thought bitterly.

"Ana baby what's going on why are you here?" She turned to look at Christian who looked scared of her she hated that he looked like that but she needed to stay as she was she needed the keeper to know that she was not to be tested.

"Lilith played us she has linked Asmodeous to Ava. She knew that with her death the link between them would get stronger. She knew that eventually the visions would grow and that eventually Ava would feel what he feels she planned for it and I gave her peace in heaven as a fucking reward.

Christian looked as angry as she did causing him to burst into his other self she loved him like this. He looked like he could crush the world with his bare hands, he was incredible.

"STOP THE TORTURE." She was getting frustrated. For all they knew Ava could be in pain right now.

"I ..." The keeper was shaking his head clearly about to say no but Christian cut him of.

"DO AS SHE SAYS OR I WILL STAND BACK AND WATCH HER RIP YOU APART." The keeper simply nodded before Ana set him free from the power that had frozen him.

"Do you wish for me to bring him back here for you if he is not to be tortured anymore?"

She spoke again before Christian could even open his mouth. "No he stays in Tartarus his torture will resume when the link is broken."

Beal coughed catching her attention. "What is it Beal?"

"Ana I'm sorry but the link can't be broken. That kind of magic is blood magic. It can only be broken using the blood of the witch that cast the spell and... she is dead."

"Then he stays in Tartarus unharmed until I find away to drag that bitch back to hell and when I do make a cell next to Asmodeous cause that is where she is going." She could feel herself calming down a little.

The keeper nodded again before walking away. Abaddon started to chant and the gate started to close.

"Christian we need to go home I need to speak with Apollo and Artemis to figure out if I can go and get Lilith myself or if someone can bring her to me either way she isn't staying up there she will be brought back to fix what she started and then I will make her pay for what she tried to do to my niece."

When they walked into the apartment from the elevator they had shimmered into in case her sister was there Ana asked Apollo and Artemis to come to the dining area to talk away from her sister who had in fact been in the apartment.

"Ana is everything ok?" Artemis looked so worried.

"I'm not sure I need to ask you a question I need to know if I can go up and retrieve Lilith's soul?" Artemis looked confused.

"Why would you want to do that? You said that she was remorseful about the part she had played in your death."

"Well I was played like an idiot and I need her back down here to undo a spell that linked Asmodeous to my niece Ava." Artemis gasped and Apollo growled.

"Ana you can't do it not yet anyway I'm so sorry." Artemis looked concerned when she said this.

" Artemis don't look so worried we have stopped the torture to Asmodeous until we can break the link so Ava is safe for now. What did you mean when you said not yet? Does that mean that I will be able to eventually?" She just needed to know there was a possibility.

"Yes once the coronation is over you will be recognized as a Goddess by everyone and treated as such. You will also come into your full power that will allow you through the gates of heaven but right now you don't have that power."

" So after we marry how long before the coronation? "

"As soon as you want" It was Apollo who answered her.

She was feeling more positive now that she knew that Ava wasn't in any immediate danger and that eventually she would be able to break the link the bitch Lilith had created.
