Al's Diner
Since this was her last day in Oakdale, Lilly Montgomery who had everything packed in her rental car and ready to leave town was at Al's Diner with her dad, her brother Johnny and Rosanna. They decided to join Lilly for one last dinner together before she departs. Just seeing how happy Craig was when either Lilly or Rosanna was around is definitely ironic. On most days since Rosanna kept Lilly updated when Lilly was in her home country with her mother, she couldn't believe that her dad and Rosanna were actually getting along. Of course Rosanna is stepping up to be that mother figure to Craig's children, but she truly thinks her dad still has feelings for Rosanna though he won't admit like that. Craig always kept his feelings to himself unless Lilly or one of the children were hurt because of someone or something but at least he would have to be honest with Rosanna. It would be good to see Craig Montgomery happy and living the life he actually always wanted with her despite him screwing it up every single time. He put a lot of people through so much pain over the years but her dad learned his lesson. He was still the same old Craig Montgomery but with different good qualities in him as all of them were finished with lunch.
Lilly - "Well that was good, I am glad we had this day to ourselves dad. Thank you for coming Rosanna"
Rosanna - "You don't have to thank me, anyday when we all get together for a special occasion, it's always my honor"
Craig - "You know I wished you didn't leave Lilly, you can stay here full time"
Lilly - "And bore myself to death dad? Don't get me wrong, I love it here in Oakdale but mom wants me back, Montego needs me as well"
Craig - "Oh to heck with Montego, are you ever bored over there from time to time?"
Lilly - "Not quite and you know this dad but I am a nurse at the local hospital, my patients miss me. So I have to go back"
Rosanna - "She'll be okay Craig, Lilly will call you from time to time and write, she'll even e-mail you too"
Craig - "You're right Rosanna, maybe everything will be okay as you say it is. But it won't stop me from caring about you Lilly, you're my daughter...and there's so much I regret"
Lilly - "Now now dad, there's no need to get all mushy on me and bringing up the past. You're always going to be my dad because I love you"
Craig - *Smiles* "And I love you too Lilly"
Lilly smiled before she looks at her watch and nods before she stands up along with Craig, Rosanna and Johnny. It was time for her to go back to the homeland and continue to do the work as a nurse for the people of Montego.
Lilly - "Well...this is it, I should get going"
Craig - "I'll miss you so much Lilly, just remember to call me when you land in Montego. Tell your mother I said hello"
Lilly - "Will do dad, as for you..."
Lilly gets down on her knees and hugs her little brother Johnny as she kisses him on the forehead before ruffling his hair a bit.
Lilly - "Be good for dad and Rosanna okay buddy? Love you so much little brother, and no worries we'll be in touch okay?"
Johnny - "Okay Lilly, I will, I love you "
Lilly smiles again, kisses and hugs her brother as she stands up. But when she grabs her purse and is about to leave, she turns around to see Dusty and Janet come in with DJ.
Lilly - "Oh hi Dusty...Janet"
Dusty - "Hey Lilly, what's with the family gathering?"
Lilly - "I'm leaving Oakdale today Dusty"
Dusty - "Oh...you are?"
Lilly nods as Janet had relief written all over her face when she said that and she was actually. Dusty could of almost died due to Lilly's shenanigans and putting her safety above their own at times when Ernesto came to town.
Dusty - "Well I will miss you Lilly, no doubt about it, just take care of yourself and be safe out there"
Lilly - "Of course, thank you for being there and risking almost everything to make sure I was alright. Thankfully with Erenesto gone and about to go to federal prison he won't be a factor anymore"
Dusty - "Thank god for that, I was starting to wonder what would happen to that guy"
Lilly - "And Janet...I would like to apologize to you"
Janet - "To...to me? For what?"
Lilly - "It was never my intention to do that of trying to come between you and Dusty. I didn't want you to think that something was going on between us, he's your husband and you love him, he loves you"
Janet - "I really don't know what to say Lilly, but thank you. I'm glad you're safe and heading home today, have a good trip"
Lilly - "Thank you Janet, Dusty, take care of yourselves. Have a good time here at Al's Diner"
Lilly hugged Dusty before leaving Al's Diner with Craig, Rosanna and Johnny. Dusty looks back at Lilly, watching her leave, feeling sad but happy for the woman he vowed to protect during months of turmoil for the daughter of Craig Montgomery.
Dusty - "You know I am proud of you for how that went Janet"
Janet - "You are, well thank you but I already know you're the kind of man who would do anything to protect the people that matter to you Dusty. No wonder why I fell in love with mister Donovan"
Dusty chuckled before he kissed her softly as the three of them went to their table, but Dusty wasn't lying to Janet at all on what was said between the two women. Janet and Lilly could have had a cat fight at Al's Diner causing Craig and Dusty to step in while Rosanna took care of Johnny and DJ, but it didn't happen at all. Lilly will always remain in his heart, he'll always care and love for her but right now, it's all about his wife and son, his family is the main focus in his hand. As the waiter is giving Dusty, DJ and Janet the menus, outside Lilly hugs her dad, Rosanna and Johnny before she gets in her rental car, then drives away from Al's Diner to the airport. It was tough for Craig to see his oldest child leave the coop as they say but Lilly was a survivor, she's strong enough to outlast anything that gets in her way. Rosanna, seeing a conflicted look of sad and happy on Craig's face, puts an arm around him, laying her head on his shoulder as she comforted him. Rosanna never thought in years she would see Craig would be so mushy but it made sense for a moment like this. Rosanna had no problems against Lilly and always saw her like a daughter figure in so many ways and that wasn't going to change, but what about Rosanna and Craig? Where do they stand?
The Hughes Residence (Chris and Katie's Home)
Today was mostly a good day for Katie, as they were no problems down at the TV Station of WOAK-TV and everyone put in their best effort to make sure the best content was on screen for the network. She didn't have to fight, argue or go at it with anyone over stories and what was needed to be presented for the viewers to see which was on a good note. But then during the day Katie did not feel good at all, she was woozy, nearly dizzy and had to go to the bathroom twice today to throw up, so that threw a monkey wrench in to her day. Her co-workers, producers, etc noticed it and told Katie to head home so that she can take care of herself. Katie wanted to say no at first but it was better for her to go home and maybe even go to the doctor, but as she got in the car, Katie immediately thought of something and went to one of the drug stories in Oakdale. Right off the bat she brought a pregnancy test as the throwing up and feeling dizzy, woozy made her realize she might be pregnant. If so that's make a whole lot of sense when her and Simon slept together after Donovan trapped them in the room that night and used some special gas. Arriving home, she immediately opens the door seeing Jacob doing her home work and Chris coming down the stairs.
Jacob - "Hey mom!"
Chris - 'Hey Katie, you're home early-"
Katie immediately ran past her husband and up the stairs to the bathroom as she slammed the door shut causing both Jacob and Chris looking up in concern. They haven't seen her act that way in years now that they thought of it.
Jacob - "What was that about dad?"
Chris - "I have no clue Jacob, let me go upstairs and check on your mom to make sure she's okay"
In the bathroom Katie immediately sits down on the toilet and tested herself from using the pregnancy test. When she was finished, Katie looked at the pregnancy test closer to see if there was anything was coming up but so far nothing.
Katie - "Come on...I wish this damn pregnancy test would hurry the hell up"
Chris - "Katie! Are you okay in there babe!?"
Chris knocked on the door almost frightening her and it wasn't Chris's fault. She was just frightened of what could come out of all of this which includes the test but also telling her husband that she was pregnant. Would he turn his back on Katie or accept the child as his so they can move forward.
Katie - "Uh...yeah...well...kind of!"
Chris - "Can I come in!?"
Katie thought of it and looked at the pregnancy test seeing that the sign was slowly starting to come up. There was no way she's keeping this from her husband, he had a right to know of what's going on as of this moment.
Katie - "You can peak your head but don't come in just yet Chris"
Chris - "Uh...okay"
Katie - "Remember, just don't come in, you can peek your head in here"
Slowly opening the door and taking a peek inside, Chris immediately noticed right off the bat the pregnancy test in her hand. Chris's eyes widen from seeing that along with his wife who shrugged her shoulders and weakly chuckled.
Chris - "Are you...can you really be-"
Katie - "I'm not sure, I just got this after leaving WOAK-TV today Chris. My stomach told me there's no way I could stay at work due to vomiting, throwing up and dizziness too"
Chris - "Why didn't you go to the hospital?"
Katie - "I knew what it immediately was Chris, being pregnant with Jacob, and the similarities of how to know you're pregnant all came running back to me"
Chris - "And that's when you got the test right?"
Katie - "Yes..."
Chris - "Okay...so we wait...what does it say now?"
Katie looks at the pregnancy test again and sees a positive plus sign as the blonde was stunned and speechless, not even sure of what to say to her husband. She dropped the pregnant test with Chris not sure of what to make for her reaction.
Chris - "Well...what does it say? Katie?"
Shaking his head Chris fully opened the door and saw the pregnancy test on the floor. Picking it up he saw the result and was in shock but smiled at it. It was a full smile alright and he wasn't angry, upset, confused or anything like that, he was really happy.
Chris - "You're pregnant Katie, you're pregnant!"
Chris joyfully hugged his wife was still in a state of shock of what she heard and what just saw. There was no way all of this could happen, how? Her and Chris didn't even sleep together, have sex, together, make love, or whatever you want to call it. The moment she had with Simon which even the Australian knew they slept together, the two of them weren't in the same mindset.
Katie - "Yeah...i'm pregnant...wow"
Chris - "Yes you are Katie...this is great, were finally going to have our own child together. This is it, this is the moment when it all happens. You don't look too happy"
Katie - *Smiles a bit*"What? Oh...of course I am happy Chris, just shocked is all. But Jacob will have a brother or a sister, were should tell Jacob right about now"
Chris - "Alright, then let's do it Katie, come on"
Chris, who was so happy and just so overjoyed to find out to be a father left the bathroom to go downstairs then tell Jacob he's going to be a big brother. Katie who was still sitting on the toilet immediately got up as the smile worn off and frowned, completely worried. Right off the bat she immediately knew the child was not Christopher's at all and this was going to completely crush Chris. He didn't realize or even figure out Simon and Katie slept together when he along with Margo and Jack found them in that room of the compound the night Donovan could of killed them but he didn't. Did Donovan know anything about what really happened that night between Simon and Katie? There's no way Donovan could of known or if he did, he would surprisingly showed up here to tease before eventually throwing it in her face that she's pregnant with Simon's child. But as she took a deep breath and walked out of the bathroom, going down the stairs with a fake smile on her face she see's Chris and Jacob. Jacob immediately runs up to her mom to hug her and he was so excited to find out that he'll have a brother or a sister to look after. All Katie could was laugh before kissing Jacob on the forehead while the three of them talked of what to look forward to next, but for now Katie was worried of how to tell Chris the brutal truth.
