Last night was certainly a strange one. Not only did Yukin encounter Drewsin for the first time, but he learned Soto comes from this cruel Promin Academy and met someone named Huo. During the duel between Huo and Drewsin, strange things were happening to all three. After the duel, Drewsin got hurt from helping Yukin.

"Remind me why we didn't take him to a hospital?" Zoey asked as Drewsin was resting in Yukin's bed with Drewsin's left arm being held in a sling.

"My mother has some knowledge on being a nurse." Yukin said. "She says that his left arm might be broken, but he should be fine. Besides, I want to be close by when he does wake up. I've got a lot of questions."

"What exactly happened in the park?" Zoey asked.

"A lot of crazy stuff." Yukin said as he wasn't sure what to think of all of it. Zoey was a little concerned for Yukin. That was when she was getting an alert for a video message.

"That's Dad." Zoey said as she answered.

"Zoey! Where are you? The tournament is going on, but you and Yukin aren't here yet." Eli said.

"Sorry, Dad. I'm at Yukin's house. We ran into a little...predicament." Zoey said since she couldn't tell him the truth just yet.

"Well, you're missing Augustus' duel." Eli said. "He's dueling that same kid that Alyssa dueled. It looks like it's nearly over."

"Is it?" Yukin said as he he tried to see. "Point the screen to the duel." Eli turned it all around and showed the duel going on between Augustus and Ristly.

The Duel

Augustus appears to have the advantage in this duel. He had a powerful monster on the field known as Super-Ancient Dinobeast. It was also powered by a spell card called Dinosaur Kingdom. At the moment, his dinobeast has 2700atk points. As for Ristly, he has nothing on his field.

"It looks like little Augustus has the edge in this duel. Ristly better turn it around on this turn or he could be in trouble." Eli said as he explained the situation.

"I've got you now. Thanks to Dinosaur Kingdom, my spell will give my dinosaurs an extra 1000atk points when they attack or are attacked by a monster with more attack points." Augustus said. "Let's see you beat that."

"It's my turn." Ristly said as he drew his next card. "I summon Tech Amp Jet Falcon to the field." He summoned a falcon in robotic armor that had boosters on it's wings with 1400atk points. "I now activate my Tech Amp Repair. This allows me to take Tech Amp Tracker Wolf in my graveyard and add it to my hand." He took the card and reached for another one. "I now activate Tech Amp Generator. It allows me to summon a Tech Amp in my hand that's the same level as another one that's on my field. Tech Amp Jet Falcon is a level three. That means I can summon Tech Amp Tracker Wolf." He summoned out his wolf as it came out with 1200atk points.

"Your falcon is one of those tuner monsters. Are you going to synchro summon?" Augustus said.

"Incorrect." Ristly said.

"I'm wrong?" Augustus said.

"I activate Tech Amp Tracker Wolf's special ability." Ristly said. "It allows me to take a spell card from my graveyard and add it to my hand. I choose Tech Amp Generator. I'll also play it right now. I summon Tech Amp Scouter Raven." He summoned out a raven that had scanners over it's eyes with it having 1000atk points. "I now overlay my level three Tech Amp Tracker Wolf, Jet Falcon, and Scouter Raven." All three of them became energy and came together in a vortex. "I xyz summon Tech Amp Rocket Condor." He summoned out a giant condor in robotic armor and had rocket boosters on it's wings with 2000atk points.

"He can xyz summon too?!" Augustus said.

"I activate Tech Amp Rocket Condor's ability. I use one overlay unit to have one monster's attack points drop to zero." Ristly said. One overlay unit entered it's chest and emitted a bright light that drained Super-Ancient Dinobeast's attack points to zero. "There's more. When Rocket Condor loses an overlay unit, it gains an additional 600atk points." Rocket Condor's attack points increased to 2600atk points. "Attack now with Stratospheric Flight." His condor activated the boosters and took off like a rocket. Even with Augustus' spell, it wasn't enough as his monster was destroyed and he lost the last of his life points. Ristly won the duel.

Yukin's House

"I can't believe that kid could xyz summon. I thought he could synchro summon." Zoey said as she was shocked at what she just witnessed.

"Renji's the one that trained him. It figures he could." Yukin said. "I must say that it was rather ingenuous to use a tuner monster in an xyz summon. Either way, we need to focus on him." Yukin turned towards Drewsin as he was trying to figure out what to do.

"Yukin!" Yukin turned to his window with he and Zoey getting a little spooked to see Lana.

"Lana?" Yukin questioned as he opened the window and she jumped against him. "What are you doing here?"

"I was worried when I didn't see you at the arena. I sensed something was bothering you." Lana said. "That's why I came here to see you."

"How did you even find out where I live?" Yukin said. "Never mind. I got bigger problems to worry about." He looked at Drewsin with Lana noticing him.

"Who is he?" Lana said, but there wasn't a clear answer to that.

"Lana, you might actually be able to help us out." Zoey said as she handed a piece of paper. "Can you go into town and get this stuff here on this list?" Zoey handed her a piece of paper, but Lana didn't seem interested.

"And leave you alone with my Yukin? I don't think so." Lana said.

"But we won't be alone. His mother should be home and our friend is here." Zoey said. "Please. Yukin said only you can really do this. He needs you to." Yukin didn't get what was going on.

"Really? Only me? In that case, I will get this stuff my love." Lana said as she took the list and hurried out of the room.

"What was that?" Yukin asked.

"That was me getting someone to do my shopping." Zoey said. "At least now she's out of our hair and we can figure out what's going on. So, tell me what happened at the park. I thought we were suppose to be looking for Soto. Where is he?" Yukin looked down at Drewsin and was remembering all that had happened.

"He's gone. I'm starting to think Soto isn't the person we thought he was." Yukin said.

"What? What do you mean?" Zoey asked.

"I saw him and Drewsin duel in the park. Soto wanted payback at Shun and wanted Drewsin to tell him where he was." Yukin said. "During the duel, Drewsin claimed that Soto really is from Promin Academy, his enemies." Zoey was shocked to hear about that. "During the duel, Soto was teleported away. Drewsin claims he was sent back to that academy."

"So, Soto was a part of that awfulness the whole time?" Zoey said.

"I don't know the whole story. I'm not sure I believe that, but at the same time I don't think Drewsin's really a bad person." Yukin said. "After Soto left, this other guy showed up named Huo. It looked like those two had history. I didn't get Huo's part of the story. After those two dueled, he just took off. When Huo launched the finishing attack, Drewsin pushed me out of the way. That's how he got hurt."

"You mean he saved you?" Zoey asked.

"Yeah..." Yukin said. He walked over to his deck and pulled out the Shadow Shudamin card that Drewsin gave him.

"That's Drewsin's card. What are you doing with it?" Zoey asked.

"He gave it to me before he passed out." Yukin said. "For whatever reason, he wanted me to have it. I'm so confused as to what's going on. Why would this Promin Academy attack their home? What happened to Soto really? Why would Drewsin and others stoop so low to hurt others? This isn't what dueling is about."

"I get it. All of this is hard to take in." Zoey said. "It's all brutal. I know you're probably feeling bad, but I bet Drewsin is feeling just as bad if not worse."

"Why do you say that?" Yukin said.

"Remember what I said before?" Zoey said. "I told you about this girl named Brui, who happens to be Shun's younger sister."

"Yeah. Didn't you say how Drewsin mistook you for her?" Yukin asked.

"Yes. It's because he and Shun believed I was her. I haven't met her because she was apparently taken prisoner by this Promin Academy." Zoey said. "We look a lot alike. Drewsin feels guilty because that mistake caused us to get involved. This Promin Academy seems cruel and ruthless. The people in Drewsin's and Shun's home seem to be suffering. This Promin Academy is making sure no one on the outside knows what's going on. On top of that, I think Drewsin mentioned that people are turning into cards."

""Turning into cards"?!" Yukin said.

"Yeah. It all sounds awful." Zoey said. "I don't think Drewsin is a bad person either. I think he wants to put an end to all of this, but I don't know how much of this is real or why this is all happening."

"I see..." Yukin said as he looked back at Drewsin. He doesn't believe Drewsin is really a bad person from what he has seen and heard, but there are still things he doesn't understand. He also knew there had to have been some connection between him, Drewsin, and Huo after what happened during that duel. "Let's find Shun."

"Shun?" Zoey questioned.

"At the moment, he's the only one that can give us answers." Yukin said. "We need to find the truth. I don't know where this Huo went and Soto is gone. We also don't know when Drewsin is going to wake up, and we need answers now. That just leaves Shun."

"You're right. I've got a bad feeling this is going to get worse before it gets better. We need to do something now." Zoey said. They need to know the whole story and figure out how to stop this. Shun's the only one that can help with them that at the moment. They might know more now than they did before, but there are still pieces of the puzzle that are missing or don't fit.

Promin Academy

Promin Academy, the apparent source of all the chaos and mayhem that's going on. Soto was sent back there as scientist were working on him.

"Let me go!" Soto said as he was trying to resist. "I need to go back and settle the score with those rebels!"

"You can't leave yet. We need to scan your memories and see what you've learned there."

"Who cares?! I'm going back to Merge City and I'm going to settle things with them!" Soto said as he kept trying to get free. While he was so he could go, someone was just outside the room and saw it as an opportunity for them.

The Arena

Zoey and Yukin made their way to the arena. They were hoping to get to Shun and demand some answers from him. When they got there, they saw Siegrain and the others.

"Hey. You guys made it. The last few matches of the adolescence division are going on." Eli said.

"Sorry, but we had some things to take care of. Nathan, you're still in, right?" Zoey said.

"Yeah, and I'm going to be sure to make it to the finals of the youth division and win." Nathan said.

"So, have you guys heard anything from Soto? We're all pretty worried about him." Siegrain said, but neither of them said anything because they don't know what really became of Soto or who he really is.

"Hey, True Duel." All of them looked and were met with Seymore, Jenny and Gus.

"What do you three want now?" Siegrain said.

"Just wanted to give you a reminder that my duel is coming. They're saving the best for last." Gus said.

"I made it to the second round too, Yukin. I plan on getting payback after the last time we dueled." Seymore said as he tried to sound tough. However, it didn't look as Yukin came over and seemed intimidating. "Hey, I was just trying to be tough." Seymore claimed as he was getting a little uneasy.

"Where's Shun?" Yukin said. That shocked them a little because they thought he was going to act more menacing.

"Shun? Why do you want to know?" Seymore asked.

"I've got questions and he's the only one that give me answers. Where is he?" Yukin said.

"We don't know. The guy is a mystery to us." Gus said. That certainly doesn't help, but Yukin should have known they wouldn't know too much about him. All Yukin can do is wait for the chance to get Shun when he can. "Well, I need to get going. My duel is up." Gus walked right out for his duel, but none of them would be ready for what they were going to see.

The Duel Field

"We've had a lot of great duels going on, but it's going to wrap up as we enter the adolescence division's final match of the first round." Nemo announced. "It's against Gus from LID going against Izzy from Battlegrounds!" Gus and his opponent walked out on the field. Izzy was a tough looking guy. He wore a red tunic with black tight pants and had bandages wrapped around his arms. He had purple hair with a red headband tied around his head.

"Wait. That's Izzy Reckler?" Zoey questioned.

"That guy is tough. He took second place last year." Siegrain said.

"It certainly doesn't help that he's from Battlegrounds Boarding School." Eli said. "Look over there." They looked across and spotted those in Battlegrounds. All of them looked tough and scary. "Battlegrounds is a tough school, literally and figuratively."

"How bad can it be?" Yukin questioned. He got his answer when the duel started. All of them were shocked at what they saw. Izzy didn't just summon monsters to attack, he assaulted Gus himself. He heat him to the ground with brutal and savage strikes. It only stopped when the duel was over. "I can't believe this."

"That was hard to watch." Alyssa said.

"No joke. That was scary." Augustus said.

"Um... Well, that's that. Now, will our remaining duelists insert their entry cards to find their next opponents?" Nemo said. Yukin and the others did just that and saw who they were dueling next.

"Aw! Look who my opponent is!" Yukin said. All of them looked and couldn't believe it.

"Izzy Reckler?! No way!" Nathan said. Yukin's next opponent is one that is brutal and obviously doesn't care that his opponents get hurt. Yukin's about to see for himself a darker side to dueling.
