His Silent Scream
Chapter 38
Author Notes: Now...I want it pointed out that as we advance further-1 this story(rated T duh) goes into some slightly more mature themes then my It's In Your Eyes story as far as romance. However I do not do lemons or anything as such.
Lime is the most one will ever see from my stories but i did want to mention it since as I go through my editing, i noticed things that didn't really click that now are- oh, not m, but definitely t lol.
Plus we had Haou and Jehu in a relationship longer then Yami and Yugi meaning their gestures get fleshed out more. Basically what i'm trying to say is, if you don't like smut(like me) you don't have to worry about it in this story.
However with how it's written I can see that it can be taken that way or foreshadowed in the future. So this is just clarification for me to feel better... Ok, with that little reassurance(to both you and myself) out of the way, I do not own Yugioh.
3rd P.O.V
Haou didn't know what he did to deserve this. "Nope. Not that one either." But he swore he was going to kill himself, because at this point he was being tortured. "Why are we doing this again?" He had to meet Jehu at the dance in about two hours, yet here he was STILL stuck at the mall, being held hostage.
"Haou. This is a Valentine's day dance. Your jeans and long sleeve t's aren't going to cut it." He scowled from behind the dressing room, crossing his arms. "Then what about my sweaters? I can easily wear those! Or you know the dress shirts I do have in the back of my closet. Why get more crap?"
It was a waste of his time. When Yoko and Alexis texted him asking him to hang out he didn't expect being dragged to clothing stores to become a dress up doll. "None of them are very Valentinesy! Plus we want to see Jehu's jaw drop all the way to the floor." The bluenette jumped him enough as it is.
The last thing he wanted was for his boyfriend to hickey him at the dance. Which HE didn't even want to go to in the first place! "Focus on your own love lives for a change!" Yoko was having way too much fun, giggling as she sat down, camera ready for pictures.
"Show him just how sexy you can be cousin~ Besides don't you want to match us? Hm...I suppose we Could always put you in a dress if this doesn't pan out." Like hell he would let that happen. "Drop dead." Both girls laughed as he came out.
Wearing a black shirt that hung a tad bit too loose and a red jacket too tight. He told them his size, so why was this such a pain in the ass? "Nope. Even if they did fit, it doesn't look good. Next pick~" He rolled his eyes, stretching them far into the back of his head.
At this point he was ready to go back to kimonos, or you know, skip the dance entirely. But all of their friends are going, and that meant he would be forced into this whether he liked it or not. "It's not even a semi-formal dance!" They were just being mean now as they gave him more and more dressy outfits.
Alexis could only shake her head. If this was a problem for Haou now, then he was going to absolutely HATE it when prom season comes rolling around. "Stop whining and get changed. By the time we find something for you the dance will be over!"
Maybe that's what he should do... "Don't even think about stalling Haou! Accept your fate." He groans as he goes through the-what felt like dozens of clothes scattered in the room. "This is bullshit." Grumbling under his breath his eyes catch something in the light, just barely seen through the other layers.
Gingerly he pulls it out the entire set, resting the shirt across his chest as he glances into the mirror. "Haou you ok in there?" Shrugging his shoulders he puts it on, it actually fit, and covered his scars nicely. Still it wasn't up to him(even though it should.)
Sighing he comes out, giving them a bored look. "Well?" The girls stand up from their chairs, silent as they glance between the boy and each other. "This looks good." Alexis nods, agreeing with her friend as she takes in the way the white dress shirt fits snuggly on him.
Contrasting nicely against the black blazer, hung easily over his thin frame. The problem with Haou and why it was taking them so long to decide was...there really wasn't anything in his size. Making it hard to judge what looked good or just looked out of place.
"I like the back best though." But this was perfect, Yoko had found a section in the store that held more foreign sizes for people like Haou. And with the red silhouetted dragon on the back of his jacket, he looked badass. "Are we finally done?" Haou was praying, they were running out of time.
And this was the best of the lot. Yoko grinned as she hugged her cousin. "Not quite, we got the outfit, but we need to buy it, and then get your hair done~" Gold eyes widen in fear as the two girls grinned wickedly. "Hell no!"
His hair may've been somewhat longer then most guys, but he didn't want it messed with. Alexis huffed, hands on her hips, there was no way she was going to lose. "Oh hell yes. Haou you do Nothing with your hair, Yoko says you barely even cut it!" He was outnumbered as he backed towards the stall.
No matter what-he had to get out of here. "That's because it hardly grows! It takes ages to come back." The argument was attracting attention as the two she-devils take him away. Completely ignoring his protests as they move to a hair salon.
"Mai~ Do we have a challenge for you!" The blond woman laughs from behind her desk. "Brought me in a fresh face I see. What can I do for you today?" While the girls were eagerly chatting with their favorite hair dresser Haou held his face in his hands, ready to end his life.
The woman gives him a sympathetic pat on the head as she twirls her shears around. "Leave this to me ladies. There's no hairstyle little ole me can't handle."

Alexis, Haou and Yoko were late. "Any messages from them?" Jim could only shake his head as Jehu sighed. The dance had already started, with the three boyfriends at a table with some of their friends, waiting. "Think Haou tried making a break for it?" Atticus was smirking at the thought.
Already imagining his precious sister and Yoko chasing the boy all over the city. However Zane was happily able to ruin Atticus's mood. "No. I just got a text from Alexis. She said that there was a bit of a wardrobe malfunction so they're running late. We got another five minutes at least."
A wardrobe malfunction could mean anything. Jehu sighed again as he rested his head on the table. "What's got you down in the dumps? You literally see Haou every day." A whine escaped the bluenette, his pout noticeable for all.
"But I got sick for a few days. I barely got any action in that time. I've been trying to make up for it." And anyways, it technically wasn't true. He hasn't seen him every day. The past week or so especially Jehu hasn't seen hide or hair of his lover, since him and his uncles were moving Haou into a new house.
With him being sixteen, he officially managed to free himself from his parents, officially listed as independent. Showing he had a decent income working as a babysitter as well as an employee at Yugi's game shop.
Though Yami and Yugi still considered themselves his guardians who were more than willing to provide any sort of aid to their nephew, he was no longer at risk of being under his parent's beck and call. And that was the most important thing. When they found out the news, they all but threatened him out of the house.
Stating that he was no longer their son, and as such was trespassing on their property. They gave Haou that week to move out. Both the Shades and Anderson family offered him a room, but he declined. It just wasn't in his nature to truly rely on such acts of kindness despite the fact he knew they meant no harm.
So he found a place on the other side of town, which is what encouraged the boy into taking driving lessons. On top of the fact that Jehu asked him not to walk alone at night anymore with how dangerous it's gotten. A sharp whistle brought Jehu to reality as Atticus stood. "You guys look fantastic~"
Alexis rolled her eyes as she sat down next to Zane. "I was going for gorgeous but I suppose fantastic will have to do." Jim smiled as he stood, giving Yoko an innocent peck on the lips. "Don't listen to him. You're phenomenal." Both ladies were in a lovely shade of red.
"Where's Haou?" Jehu glanced all over for his lover, growing more upset that he couldn't find him. Was Atticus right and Haou ditched the party? "Oh well...about that." The girls stifled a giggle, finding it hard to keep their faces straight.
Worrying the bluenette all the more. "Might wanna go save your boy before he gets kidnapped." Yoko pointed a manicured nail towards the door, where there was a flock of women crowding the entrance. Jehu was on his feet in an instant heading their way.
Just what did those two do? "Please go away! I'm already in a relationship with someone." That was definitely Haous' voice and he was on the verge of freaking out. "Aww come on just one dance?" Now Jehu knew how his boyfriend felt when Mindy and Jasmine were all over him.
Jealousy was rearing her ugly head. Especially when he finally got a glimpse of his lover. "No! Just get out of my way." The boy looked like he stepped off a runway. His hair was styled with layers, his two hair colors blending all over instead of just the top of his head.
The bangs he had were swept to the side to the point where it covers his left eye. The dress shirt and jacket emphasized his slim physique, a badass dragon stitched on the back. With black slacks and dress shoes. Haou was blushing horribly as girls surrounded him.
"Leave me alone! I have places to be." His glare was doing him no good, he just looked too good to scare them away. None of them even realized that this was Haou Yuki, the ice king. "Sorry ladies, I don't share." Jehu, much to Haou's relief pulled him away.
Causing the girls that surrounded him to either whine, or freeze in place as the realization dawns on them. Giving the couple the perfect opportunity to escape. Haou sighs as his fingers intertwine with his boyfriends'. "Stealing my lines are you?"
And here Haou thought He was possessive. "I'll be stealing more than lines by the time i'm done with you." A shiver went down the brunette's back as Jehu leads him to a dark corner, effectively making good on his little promise.
"Remind me to thank and curse the girls for this..." Jehu hungrily soaks in the new look. Damn them for doing this at the dance. He always found Haou attractive before, but now all eyes were on him and that wouldn't do at all.
No one was stealing him on his watch. "Please curse them...the last three or so hours has been nothing but a nightmare." The bluenette laughs as his fingers brush against the bangs, pushing it away from his hidden eye. "We could always leave you know. I don't care so much for dancing anymore."
Haou's eyes twitch. Oh no. Jehu was Not doing this to him after all the bullshit he was put through. Time and time again he stated he wasn't interested in coming. He couldn't just change his mind now that Haou arrived.
"I don't think so." His boyfriend was lacking in a jacket, but still wore a dress shirt and tie, matching the rest of the guys of their group. Nice to know that They didn't have to do anything special. But it worked since Haou was easily able to pull the taller teen down to his level.
Placing his lips to the other's ear. "I'm not letting you off the hook that easily. You wanted me here, now you got to deal with it." Amber eyes widened as he felt a sharp nip on his ear lobe before being pushed slightly away.
Blinking as a rather smug Haou walked away from him to their group of friends. "Shit." His boyfriend was making it really hard to keep his hands off. There were teachers acting as chaperones in all directions of the gym, even with the dim lighting and loud music they were not going to let anything happen.
"Dammit." He should've known he was going to be punished for making Haou come to the dance. But did he have to be such a sexy tease? With a sigh Jehu made his way back, seeing Atticus give him a mocking expression full of pity.
He saw the little moment between them. "Better luck next time man." He even got a pat on the shoulder. "Shut up." His friend snorted, thoroughly amused. Quickly the group went into light conversation. Catching up on the latest news.
Specifically Haou's new home, and how unpacking was going. "I got the majority of things done. All that's left is the kitchen and living room." It was a small apartment, one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen that also had a dining room, and living room.
Way smaller than his parent's home but already Haou was loving it a lot more. He was able to make it his, painting the walls, moving things around-all of the decisions were his to make. As soon as things were arranged the way he wanted it, Jehu and his family was coming over to see it.
"Hey!" Yoko pouted, pretending to be hurt. "Why won't you invite me over? Why does Jehu get all of your attention?" Haou growled as his eyes lit up. Unholy anger and frustration obviously not forgotten. "Because he didn't hold me hostage for three fucking hours."
Glancing around at the friends that were here. Scowling at their far more simple attire before snapping his head back at the girl. "I like how I was the only one here that got treated like a damn dress up doll. Why me?" And more importantly why not the others, like say their boyfriends?!
Besides, she's already seen his house, she helped him move in! Why does she care? Alexis placed her hands on her hips, huffing. She will admit that she and Yoko were having fun watching Haou squirm and go through a makeover. But there was actually a good reason they did this.
"Because you're the only one here who doesn't take pride in how you look. You're an awesome guy Haou, its about time people saw that instead of you hiding away looking like a serial killer." Now that was harsh. But considering how much he glares at people he supposed it was a fair statement.
Still immediately he looks away, unable to face them, feeling self conscious. Instinctively one of his hands reach his wrist that stayed completely hidden. Other then Jehu and Yoko...no, maybe Jim as well, with the exception of them, no one knew about the scars he had. Or how he got them.
He won't regret surviving middle school and the struggles he had gone through. But he couldn't help feeling self conscious. He looked ugly- felt ugly having them. He's seen enough people stare with disgusted expressions. His own doctors and nurses look at them in distaste.
Why should he take pride in his looks when he knew he was flawed? As if reading his mind Jehu brought his hands up to his lips, placing a kiss on them. Going lower each time until he reaches the scarred flesh.
Their friends roll their eyes and mutter about them getting a damn room, not understanding the significance of the loving gesture. Jehu accepted him for all he was, and thought he was handsome.
Not beautiful...saying that-that got him a smack across the head before. Haou wasn't a girl dammit. The point of it all was...Being with him made Haou feel desirable. Wanted. "That offer to leave is still on the table babe." Jehu was hoping for him to say yes.
There was some much needed exploring to be had without watchful eyes. Sadly his beloved didn't take the bait, only raising an eyebrow as he tilted his head. Acting just so innocent. "I thought you promised me a dance..." This was going to be a very, Very long night for the bluenette. "Dammit Haou."
to be continued
Author Notes: I never mentioned last chapter but i did see the review about Mama Anderson. And to answer, i thought i referenced it in the story but she has blue eyes. Jehu's eyes are from genetics but not from mama and papa directly.
