Heavenly Treasures or Worldly Treasures
Welcome Brothers and Sisters to Bible Teachings, here we will once more explore the or/vs series. This will be discussing and understanding how we should live and what choices many of us have in this life given to us by our decisions and ways we find ourselves in life. Now when talking about Heavenly Treasures and Worldly Treasures, we must understand the difference between the two. First and foremost, the Heavenly Treasures are gifts found and kept from our Heavenly Father given to us. They are sometimes in forms of invisible things of life. The Most common thing is how we hear God's words as a start, then start to know his words after studying and taking the time for God as first in life, then doing them by not only knowing and hearing, but also implying them as doers of his words. Yet many times in life when we have nothing to do or have things we like we intend on becoming desiring of our worldly Treasures that are seen and grasp at hand.
Money is the root of all evil, as many who take money use this for many wicked means or just collecting them for themselves. Now having money isn't what makes it evil, what makes it evil is how we use it or try and earn more then necessary for ourselves. For many times people can be motivated for money, one of them being to buy people. Yes, I am talking about slavery, while not common is still practice no doubt in other parts of the world. It was too common in the ancient times where if you have money, you owned that person him/her and can be used, abuse and done with as they please. All it took was enough cash and you got yourself a slave for ancient times. Yet the most common of this evils is stealing, killing and murdering others for the sake of money. So while the act of having isn't what makes it evil, it's how you use it or intent to have it for your own purpose good and bad.
Worldly Treasures
Now having Money is not the only treasures of this world that would displease God. To answer this how many of you that have stuff can say you are satisfied with what you have now or haven't had and still are okay? If you say no, or try to us "But I still" or other words to say you haven't had enough, then your most dissatisfied with your life and will continue this as your body is filled with holes among holes that are being created by unfulfilling stuff. What's actually said about this is it's not the body that will be unsatisfied, it's our own souls that remains empty, leaving your bodies empty as well from this feeling. Already your wondering how does that work, or some of you are saying "No, I have no souls, I'm just an average guy living life how I should" not in those exact words, but you get the point.
First thing to understand, everything that can be seen, feel, or known about your body is all that is psychical form. Yet our bodies are not what's important, while it still is as we live, but not the eternal body of our life to the next. For in order to have Eternal Life given to us when we start accepting Christ, living by his words, and lean close to Lord Jesus. We must feed our souls with heavenly treasures from the Lord almighty. Yet in our own choices, we chose this world and the body that will die. Remember our entire life to death is filled with sin, and no one can ever get to heaven by any words or deeds without God. Even when you say, I'm a good person, that doesn't mean you are by God's standards.
For everything that lives now until the end will die, people will die, objects will die, even memories will die. For this world is meant to die, yet we rely on our bodies to determine how to live or by our feelings of comfort and lustful pleasures. This leads to gaining stuff that can be grasp, touch, taste or taken. Right now either you have a computer or some of you are borrowing or using this for short time trying to use this time for your own pleasures, because you want to be fulfill. Now I'm not saying this is bad, but too much of this does make it bad when you waste your time doing the things you shouldn't or even trying to obtain things you don't have. For example, when asking for Cellphones, you want it or just feel that will complete you. The games you want, the cars you want, the food, clothing, jewelry, fashion, the money and the list goes on and on as you try and still feel unsatisfied with yourself, the life, and everything to try and fill up the hole inside.
Here God wants to say tell you that the reason you can't be fulfilled isn't that you don't have stuff. But you aren't living under God's presence or living by what is good for you and everyone in his laws and commands. For God made us and knows us better then we would know ourselves. For there are things in life God wants you to live by, to enjoy, to have a fulfilling life that involves God living, breathing and being with you. In the Bible there is a term known as Everlasting Life and Flowing Water used to describe how God will fulfill your life in every way, but this can only receive if you follow him in worship and obey all his commands. The people of Israel are the examples of how despite knowing God, having history with God and personally being close to him along with people who speaks for God. They chose their own ways and became the same as everyone in the world. This is because they chose their own ways over what God offered. They were suppose to be a nation that showed the world there is a God and hope for everyone to seek through the Israel nation. But instead have chosen their own pleasures and desire that became the same as everyone else.
They had God in their lives that will be fulfilling and there are still those satisfied by what God not only provides, but also have them change when they focus on God and his ways. Folks I have to say that while there is no evil in what we have except for things that are supernaturally evil, there is a problem when we allow these things to dictate our lives over choosing God to fulfill our souls. Now that doesn't necessary mean when your a Christian, Saint and Believer automatically you will be fulfill. Some can be in that instant and praise God for that, yet for some of us it takes time to truly understand who God is and what he does on a daily basis for our lives and those around us. I can say when started out, I just simply read the bible and believed that was enough. Yet the more I seek God and people who teaching others like me, the more understanding it became as starting to know God in much more meaningful and deeper way. There is still lots to learn, but there is still time to seek him. For next time we will discuss what Heavenly Treasures mean and how are they used in our daily life and for our eternal life.
