Basics Part 1 and 2. Season 2 ending and Season 3 Beginning.

When I woke up, Clara and Chloe were asleep next to me.
I managed to get out and let them keep on sleeping. Then I went and got Showered and Dressed. Then Got some Coffee and something to eat. Which after I finished. They were still asleep. So I went on up to the Bridge.
"Captain we are being hailed on a Subspace frequency," Harry said.
"Are there ships in the vicinity?" I said.
"Negative, Tracking the source," Tom said. "Seems like it's coming from an unmanned buoy, Coordinates 140 mark 317,"
"It looks like a Kazon signal, Captain," Harry said.
"Take us out of warp, Yellow Alert, Open a channel," I said.
"Chakotay, They're going to take your son, When Cullah saw the baby, I hear them coming, I don't have much time, When he saw the baby wasn't his, Please Chakotay, Help us not for me, for your son," Seska said.
"I told you to stay out of here," Cullah said.
"No please don't, Don't take him, I beg. No Please, No. No," Seska said then it cut off.

Then Chakotay and I went into my ready room.
"This is not my responsibility, She has no right to expect me," Chakotay said.
"She knows you, Chakotay, She knew how you'd react when you saw your son in danger," I said.
"I have a duty to this crew. I can't just leave and go looking for the child," Chakotay said.
"I would never consider letting you go into a Kazon-Nistrim stronghold by yourself, If we do this, we do it together," I said. "That's something else Seska would know too,"
"Do you think it's a trap?" Chakotay said.
"Yes, Seska is manipulating you and me with this," I said.
"On the other hand," Chakotay said. "It was time for her to deliver, and that baby we saw did look part Cardassian and Part Human,"
"And knowing Cullah, I'm sure his pride was wounded when he realized the child wasn't his, It makes sense, Chakotay," I said. "It might all be true,"
"Still, the safest thing would be to ignore this message and resume our course," Chakotay said.
"I'm not going to resume our course just yet, I want you to think about it, Chakotay, This has to be your decision, If you choose to go after him, The Entire crew would be behind you," I said.
Then Chakotay lefted and I went down to the equipment room and got a Transporter buffer. Then Headed down to my Quarters where Clara was in the main room.
"Where's?" I said.
"Chloe's asleep," Clara said.
"Alright, I want you to get a set of Clothes with you," I said.
"Why?" Clara said.
"We could be going into a Trap if Chakotay is going to do what I think he is. If it is and there is a chance Voyager will be taken over. Good chance that the Kazon would leave us on a planet, If they do. I want to make sure that you 2 are ready. I've already been working on what weapons there, So I got to get them ready to put into this," I said.
"Okay, I get Chloe and I set up, As you said just in case," Clara said. "But shouldn't I not be looking for somewhere where I can hide in you know, Then the first chance I get. Take them out,"
"But you can feed any more if they even hit you," I said.
"I can still use my enzyme," Clara said.
"No," I said. "I need you with Chloe,"
"Okay, Dad," Clara said.
"That's my girl," I said.
Then Clara went and started to grab some things.
Then I started to get the Tags on the weapons, Bow, Crossbow, Arrows and Bolt. Then got them in. Then I got some Whiskey beamed into my room too. Then Clara brought over a bag.
"Both mine and Chloe's are in this," Clara said.
"Good," I said as I tagged it and then hit the buffer and all of it went into it.
Then I grabbed it.
Then.
"Chakotay to McCall," Chakotay said.
"Go ahead," I said.
"I need to see you," Chakotay said.
"I see you in my ready room in 5, McCall out," I said.

After that we were in the conference room since Chakotay has decided to go after him.
"I've been in touch with the Talaxian Mining colony on Prema 2, They're willing to come to our assistance if we run into trouble," Neelix said.
"That's good for about 40 hours if we average warp 2," Tom said. "After that, we're out of their com range,"
"Well, it's nice to know we have friends in the area, Thank you Neelix," I said.
"I recommend a full diagnostic of our Tactical array prior to the start of the mission captain," Tuvok said.
"Agreed, But I want more from Tactical, Is the Phase Cannons online," I said.
"That and the hull plating are ready," Tuvok said.
"Good, I want to anticipate a trap. And I want a few tricks up our sleeves if we need them," I said. "B'Elanna, I want you ready with the ZPMs. But I want you to take the Drones offline, Just in case, this fails and the Kazon manage to get hold of Voyager,"
"Got it," B'Elanna said.
"Captain, What about the Database we have with it too," Harry said.
"I have that already taken care of, All of that data is in Jumper 1. Since it takes my gene to activate it, It will be safe for a while," I said.
"Captain, I could program the deflector grid to make it look we have help on the way, I'll show you what I mean, Excuse me, Doctor," Harry said.
"Echo displacement," B'Elanna said.
"Exactly, this is how we'd look to the enemy sensors, If we generate multiple decoy images like these, The Kazon would think that ships are coming towards us, We could create as many as we want," Harry said.
"I like it, Harry and it's a start, But it will distract them for a while," I said. "But what else can we do, if we're eventually intercepted by a superior force?"
"If you don't mind, I do have something to add," Doc said as Harry put him back in the screen. "Thank you, Captain, I hesitate to offer suggestions in a field of endeavour that is not within my usual area of expertise,"
"Doc, Get to the point," I said.
"Right now May I suggest that we also consider attempting to create an actual holographic illusion of friendly ships," Doc said.
"With all due respect, Doctor, We can't even figure out how to project you into this room, How are we supposed to create holographic ships in space," B'Elanna said.
"I would humbly submit that my program is far more sophisticated than you run of the mill hologram, In fact, projecting the illusion of a large 3d object has been a trick of magicians for centuries,," Doc said.
"We'll just do it with mirrors," Tom said.
"Mr. Paris predictable attempts at humor, not withstanding, that is precisely what I would suggest, Installing Holo emitters along the hull with parabolic mirrors to enlarge the images as they are reflected into space," Doc said.
"We're gonna use up a lot of our power reserves trying to pull it off," Harry said.
"Not if we use one of the Zero Point module's instead," B'Elanna said.
"If these ships can fool the Kazon it's worth it," Chakotay said.
"But can they? If the Kazon scan the holograms they will immediately realize there are no lifesigns on board, No power signatures," Tuvok said.
"Okay, so we can't fool them for long, But maybe it'll be long enough, It's an advantage, And we'll need every advantage we can get on this mission, Work on the Doctor with it, B'Elanna, Harry, Cut power to all systems to minimum requirements. I don't wanna show up on any Kazon Long range scanners, Tom, locate the Warp signature from Culluh's ship and set a course Warp 2," I said. "Dismissed,"
"Excuse me there is one more thing. Thank you," Chakotay said.
Then I was in my ready room.
Not long later the Door bell rang.
"Come in," I said.
Then Kat walked in.
"You sure about this," Kat said after the doors closed.
"If it is real we just leave, Guess that something I can't do. But there is still a chance this is nothing but a trap," I said.
"And if it is," Kat said.
"Then we get out, Head for home and don't look back," I said.
"But will it be easy," Kat said.
"Doubt it. If this is a trap they after Voyager. If it comes to the point we can't get away, I'll destroy Voyager rather than let them get they hands on Voyager," I said.
"Bridge to the Captain," Chakotay said.
"Go ahead," I said.
"We've picked up a Kazon ship," Chakotay said.
"On my way," I said. Kat went first Then I walked out.
"It's not Culluh's Ship. Looks more like a shuttle," Chakotay said.
"Slow to impulse, Set an intercept course, Tom, Have they indicated the nature of the distress?" I said.
"Just a Signal, Captain, No response to our hails," Harry said.
"Scott, We shouldn't take a chance that it's real," Kat said.
"Agreed," I said. "Red Alert," As the Klaxon went Red.
"Visual Range," Tom said.
"On screen," I said.
"Showing one life sign. Adult Kazon male, He's in critical condition," Harry said.
"McCall to sickbay, Prepare to receive an emergency transport," I said.
"Standing by Captain," Kes said.
"Commander," I said. "Kat, You have the bridge, Stay at red alert,"
"Got it," Kat said.
As we got into the Turbolift and went down to Sickbay.
"His hip is broken Showing severe inflammation in the bronchial tissue," Kes said.
"It appears he inhaled noxious gases Vented in the damage shuttle, 40 Milligrams Pulmozine," Doc said.
"I know this man, His name's Tierna," Chakotay said. "He's one of Seska's aides She had him work me over when I was on their ship,"
"Seska is dead," Tierna said.
After that I went back up to the Bridge as we stay by the shuttle as B'Elanna and Harry was trying to Confirm the story Tierna said to Chakotay. After it was confirmed we were in the Conference room.
"The trip would take 6 days at warp 2," Tierna said.
"4 Days if you didn't take such a circuitous route if we simply went across the Tenarus Cluster," Neelix said.
"You would encounter the Nistrim Fleet before a single day passed, Anyone who knows this part of space will tell you the same thing," Tierna said.
"It so happens That I do know this part of space my Kazon friend," Neelix said. "I just wanted to see if you would tell us the truth, The route he suggests is safer, Captain,"
"Of course it's safer, I don't want to run into Culluh any more than you do," Tierna said.
"We might have more success avoiding him if you gave us the command codes for the Nistrim defense net," Chakotay said.
"Computer, display, tactical overview of our current course," Tuvok said.
"Enter code sequence. 491170 Culluh," Tierna said.
"Tom, Adjust out course to avoid the Defense net," I said.
"Aye captain," Tom said as he left.
"That is not an end to the danger, We are heading into an area of space populated by Kazon factions that are loyal to no one," Tierna said. "They will attack without provocation,"
"Dismissed," I said.
Then Headed back to the Bridge.
Then 10 Minutes later at warp.
"Vessel approaching, Coordinates: 314 Mark 21," Tom said.
"Signature," I said.
"Signature is Kazon," Harry said.
"Red Alert," I said As the Klaxon went Red. "Tuvok, Configuration of the ship,"
"A small raider, Captain, It does not pose a significant threat," Tuvok said. "Nevertheless it is powering up its weapon systems,"
"Shields are holding," Harry said.
"Tuvok, Return fire," I said.
"The Raider is breaking off its attack," Tuvok said.
"Harry, Damage," I said.
"Minor Damage to secondary command processors on Deck 12," Harry said. "EPS power supplies, and isolinear controller are off line. No casualties though,"
"Get repairs on the way Harry, Any other sign of Kazon ships, Tom," I said.
"Nothing on Long range sensors, the raider is continuing to retreat, We should have a couple of hours to ourselves at least," Tom said.
"Good, we use it, Stand Down Red Alert," I said As the Klaxons were off.
"Captain, we're about to go beyond the com range of the Talaxian Colony. Just thought you'd like to know," Tom said.
"Thanks," I said. "Maintain current course,"
"Captain," Tuvok said.
"I haven't forgotten, Tuvok, This seems as good a time as any," I said.
Then We headed down to See Suder.
Once at his door.
Then we went in.
"Captain," Suder said.
"Mr. Suder," I said.
"Please come in, Won't you sit down, Excuse the mess, I wasn't expecting company, Can I get you some tea? Have you had lunch?" Suder said.
"Nothing, Thank you," I said. "Lt. Tuvok has been telling me about your progress,"
"Has he? Well, I'm, Very grateful to him, Captain, I still have a lot to learn, of course, But he is an excellent tutor, When we first started our studies, I" Suder said.
"The Captain's time is limited, Mr. Suder," Tuvok said.
"What? Oh, of course," Suder said.
"I have explained your proposal to him," Tuvok said.
"I'd like to know more about it. Mr. Suder," I said. "What exactly would be involved,"
"Yes, Let me show you, I've actually had very encouraging results, with a new gen-splicing technique, I created a targeted restriction enzyme, to facilitate the hybrid," Suder said.
"And you feel you could experiment on our airponic crops here in your quarters," I said.
"Absolutely, I would make this an airponic laboratory, and All I would need are a few plants, certain chemicals and equipment," Suder said.
"What sort of chemicals and equipment," I said.
"Nothing dangerous, I've prepared a list," Suder said.
"It's an interesting proposition. Mr. Suder," I said. "Let me discuss it with Kes and Lt Tuvok, and I'll get back to you,"
"I've already discussed it with Kes, and she is very interested," Suder said.
"Good, let me give it some thought," I said.
"If you are worried you can't trust me, Captain," Suder said.
"Tuvok has assured," I said.
"I only want to do something, Something for the ship," Suder said.
"I understand, Mr. Suder," I said.
"Then what's the problem why won't you give me an answer?" Suder said.
"Mr. Suder," Tuvok said.
"I just want to do something for the ship," Suder said.
"Excuse me," I said.
Then was when I headed to my quarters. Where I found Chloe and Clara on the sofa together.
"Dad," Clara said. As Chloe ran at me hugging me.
"Hey," I said pulling Chloe up. Then I went over to Clara sat down next to her. As Clara cuddled into me. Where we sat there for a bit as Chloe and Clara just stay with me. Then I got up and then went and got some dinner out. Where we sat down and ate it up. Just before Clara and Chloe were going to bed.
"Red Alert, All hand to Battle Stations," Chakotay voice must of been on shipwide as the Klaxon went Red.
"You to stay here," I said heading out and went up to the bridge.
Once I got there.
"Report," I said.
"2 Kazon raiders, just entered sensor range, They charging weapons," Chakotay said.
"Shields," I said.
"At 100%," Harry said.
"Tuvok once they in range fire on their weapons array," I said.
"Phasers locked, They in range," Tuvok said as they hit us.
"They are targeting the Starboard ventral," Harry said.
"Tuvok, Fire at will," I said.
"Direct hit, They are pulling back," Tuvok said.
"Harry," I said.
"They damaged the Secondary command processors again," Harry said.
"Any other Kazon ships," I said.
"No, and the 2 raiders are still retreating," Tuvok said.
"Stand down Red Alert," I said. "Get repairs on the way. Chakotay the bridge is yours, I'm turning in for the night,"
"Aye Captain," Chakotay said.
Then I left and headed down to my quarters and went to bed as Clara and Chloe got into next to me and snuggled against me.

"Captain's log, Supplemental, None of the 4 Kazon attacks have cause serious damage. But the starboard ventral keeps getting hit each time, Complicating repairs on the secondary command processors, But why are all of them keep hitting there for, End log," I said.
Then I was out on the Bridge. As Chakotay was away down to sickbay.
"Captain, I'm picking up another raider coming in," Harry said.
"Red Alert," I said as the Klaxon's went Red.
Then they hit our shields again.
"Fire Phasers banks, hit whatever you can now," I said.
"Firing Phasers," Tuvok said.
"Increase speed the 1 half impulse," I said.
"Aye captain," Tom said.
"They're coming at our starboard ventral again, Our shield there haven't been repaired yet," Harry said. "We're gonna sustain more damage to the secondary command processors,"
"Starboard Ventral," Chakotay said.
"Warning, Fires have been detected on Decks 12 and 15. Sections A-4 through C-18," Computer said.
"Tuvok, Arm Torpedoes, Target their Warp cores I'm getting sick of this," I said.
"Control units are responding captain," Harry said.
"Keep our port forequarter facing the line of attack Tom, Don't let them see our starboard ventral," I said.
"I'm doing my Best," Tom said.
"Tuvok, increase Phaser yield, Continuous fire Starboard Phasers," I said.
"Acknowledged," Tuvok said. "They're withdrawing Captain,"
"Stand down Red alert," Chakotay said.
"Harry," I said.
"Deck 12 is in shambles," Harry said.
"We barely have time to begin repairs before they attack it again," Chakotay said.
"At least no one was hurt, the secondary command processors are non functional, We'll have to rebuild them, we are looking at 2 days work if we're not attacked again," Harry said.
"Why would these factions of Kazon loyal to no one, all have the same agenda? And why would that agenda focus on a nonessential area of the ship," Chakotay said.
"I don't know, But if feels like we are getting pecked to death by ducks," I said.
"We can't stay on this course and wait to see what they have in store for us," Chakotay said.
"I agree, It's time to re-examine our game plan, Tom, Reverse Course," I said.
"Aye Captain," Tom said.
"Mr. Tierna should be restricted to quarters on a secured deck until further notice," Chakotay said.
"Acknowledged," Tuvok said.
"Kat you have the bridge back in a minute," I said then I headed down to my quarters and Grabbed the buffer and placed in on the inside of my trousers then I saw Clara and Chloe.
"Clara, Keep an eye on your sister. Both of you," I said.
"We will Dad," Clara said.
Then I headed out and backed to the Bridge.
Once there I had only managed to sit down.
"Captain, I'm picking up ships heading right for us, They're Kazon," Harry said.
"Red Alert," I said. As the Klaxon went red. "How many do you count, Tuvok,"
"8 Large Carrier Vessels, Confirmed Kazon signatures," Tuvok said.
"Funny how they show up right after we reverse course," Chakotay said.
"Time to intercept?" I said.
"8 Minutes," Tom said. "Their attack formation is a classic Cardassian Echelon,"
"Curious, They have left us with an obvious avenue of escape, Captain," Tuvok said.
"You're right, it is curious, extremely curious for me, This whole thing has been nothing but a trap, I don't know what's down that avenue of escape, Tuvok, But I like to choose my own way, Set a course to intercept their lead ship,"
"Aye captain," Tom said.
"Battle Stations," I said. "Time to intercept?"
"3 minutes 10 seconds," Tom said. "Give or take a photon torpedo,"
"Harry," I said.
"Echo displacement ready, Captain," Harry said.
"Bring them in," I said.
"Activating deflector, They should be seeing the same thing on their scanners, 10 ships with Talaxian signatures," Harry said.
"4 of the Kazon ships are breaking formation," Tuvok said.
"Confirmed they're changing course," Tom said.
"They took the bait," Chakotay said.
"Leaving 4 for us to handle," I said.
"I like those odds better than 8 to 1," Chakotay said.
"2 minutes to intercept," Tom said.
"McCall to Torres," I said.
"We're ready down her, Captain, All the new holoprojectors are online," "B'Elanna said. "We can create ships when ever you want to,"
"In about a minute and a half, B'Elanna stand by," I said.
"Here we go," Tom said.
"They are randomly detonating torpedoes in our flight path," Tuvok said.
"Shields are holding, No damage," Harry said.
"Hold you fire, Tuvok, They may have torpedoes to waste, we don't," I said.
"30 Seconds to intercept," Tom said.
"Take us out of warp," I said.
"Engaging impulse engines," Tom said.
"Power to all weapons systems, Stand by Phasers and Phase cannons," I said.
"Kazon vessel, 10,000 KM off our starboard bow," Tuvok said.
"Not yet," I said.
"6,000 KM," Tuvok said.
"Not yet," I said.
"5,000, 3,000, 2,00," Tuvok said.
"Fire," I said.
"Initiating Evasion maneuvers beta sequence," Tom said.
"2 more Kazon ships approaching," Tuvok said.
"Shields at 90%," Harry said.
"McCall to Torres, Holo programs, Now," I said. "Tom Attack Pattern Omega,"
"Acknowledged, Energizing," B'Elanna said.
"Tuvok all Phasers and Cannon fire at will hit every target you can," I said.
As we got 15 shots on both ships as we were passing by.
"4th Kazon ship dead ahead, but they're dividing their fire captain," Harry said. The Holograms are working,"
"Fire Torpedoes," I said.
"Torpedoes loaded," Tuvok said.
"Bring us about tom, I want a good angle on that 4th ships," I said.
"Coming about, 141 mark 20," Tom said.
"Fire Photon #1, Full Starboard row, Evasive maneuvers, Lambda Sequences, Fire," I said.
"Shield at 85% and holding, Minor damaged reported Deck 14," Harry said.
"Repair crews," I said.
"They're responding," Harry said.
"Come about to 143 mark 060," I said.
"Coming about," Tom said.
"Ready photons dispersal pattern Sierra, Fire," I said.
"Captain, I'm picking up a massive discharge on deck 8, We've lost a primary Plasma conduit," Harry said.
"Deck 8, Tierna's Quarters," Chakotay said.
"Damage control teams to Deck 8," Tuvok said.
"I'm reading power failures all over the ship," Harry said.
"Bridge to Engineering, Change of plan I can use those ZPM's right about now," I said.
"I can't, I disconnect the entire system, It will take 20 minutes for me to get it back online," B'Elanna said. "We've lost power to the new holodeck grid, I can't restore it either," Then an explosion coming through.
"B'Elanna you alright," I said.
"Yes Captain, But it looks like our reactant injector control were hit, Stand by," B'Elanna said.
"All 3 Kazon ships are concentrating their fire on us now, Captain," Tuvok said.
"Shields at 70% and falling, Starboard Targeting scanners are off line," Harry said.
"Evasive maneuvers Mr. Paris Gamma Sequence," Chakotay said.
"B'Elanna, I need Warp drive now," I said.
"We can't go to warp Captain, The containment field generator has been damaged, I'm attempting to bypass," B'Elanna said.
"Captain, If I can get a shuttle through the crossfire, I can go back and bring the Talaxians to help us," Tom said.
"Chakotay take the conn," I said. "Tom, Good luck," As he headed off. As I put in the codes to transfer all the Ancient database to Jumper 1.
"Shuttle is clear so far so good," Harry said.
"Give him all the cover fire you can Tuvok," I said.
"Aye captain," Tuvok said.
"Voyager to Paris, Please respond, Tom can you hear me. I've lost contact with the shuttle," Harry said As we got hit again.
"Navigational array is offline," Chakotay said.
"We've lost power to forward phasers," Tuvok said.
"Shields at 30%. They're buckling," Harry said.
"Report," I said.
"The Driver coil assembly has been destroyed, Impulse engines are off line," Harry said.
"We're being boarded through the shuttle Bays, Captain, Phaser fight reported on Deck 5,6,7," Tuvok said.
"Intruder Alert, Security to Decks 5 through 7," Chakotay said.
"Begin evacuation, Computer initiate Self destruct sequence authorization McCall Pi 110 Set at 10 minutes," I said.
"Unable to initiate Self destruct sequence due to damage to secondary command processors," Computer said.
"Stay where you are don't move," A Kazon said coming out of the Turbolift.
"Hold your fire," I said.
As we got moved and sat down.
"I want to talk with Culluh Now," I said.
"Easily arranged, Captain," Culluh said. With Seska. Fucking knew it.
"Hello everyone," Seska said. "What do you think of your Son Chakotay? he has your eyes. Don't you think? Thank goodness he doesn't look too human, You all have such weak foreheads,"
"May he grow up never knowing the contempt his father has for his mother," Chakotay said.
"I think I can assure you of that, Commander, I intend to take him for my own son, A man who would violate a woman under his own command," Culluh said.
"What?" Chakotay said.
"Doesn't deserve a son," Culluh said.
"Is that what she told you?" Chakotay said.
"The boy will be trained as a Nistrim Askara," Culluh said.
"What ever the Fuck that means?" I said.
"Already he has helped us win the greatest battle in our history," Culluh said.
"Culluh, I'd like to discuss what happens now," I said Then he wracked me. But got back up. "That the best you got, really," As I was put back down with the others.
"You'll be given no more respect than any Kazon boy would," Culluh said. "Now that your ship and technology are mine, I will tell you when you may speak,"
"Let my crew alone, They were following my orders," I said.
"You're even worse than she is," Culluh said. "What is it about the kids from your quadrant? You know she contradicts me in front of the senior Askara? My own woman, Disputing her Maje in front of others,"
"What do you expect, She an Cardassian," I said.
"You know you have my deepest respects Maje," Seska said.
"Why is it so dark in here, Somebody turn on the Lights," Culluh said.
"Computer, Stand down red alert," I said.
"Order the repair crews to begin work immediately I want to leave for the Hanon System, As soon as possible," Culluh said.
"What's in the Hanon system?" Chakotay said.
"Your new home," Seska said. "Take them to a cargo bay have the whole crew brought there, Check all quarters,"
As we were moved there. As we were brought to the Cargo bay. As I saw Clara and Chloe as I sat down but they stilled near Kes. The next thing I knew we were Landing. Then They started moving us onto the Surface As they took all technology but they didn't find the Buffer on me. After we landed.
Then Culluh came over.
"A fitting end for a people who would net share their technology, Let's see if you manage to survive without it," Culluh said as they headed back onto Voyager.
"All right, Let's go," I said As Clara and Chloe came over. "We've got to find water and shelter," As we started heading. "Are you too okay?"
"We're fine Dad," Clara said.
"We'll divide the crew into teams, Each of you will be a team leader, Make it clear to all your people that we expect to be rescued," I said. "And our Job is to survive until help arrives,"
Do you really think it's likely that someone will find us, Captain," Neelix said.
"Your the morale officer, Neelix you give me an answer," I said.
"Help is on the way," Neelix said.
"Maybe Tom's shuttle got through," Harry said.

"A clearing with a protected side like the base of a cliff would be best," Chakotay said.
"Food, Fuel look for all the basic survival requirements," I said.
"That includes anything that can be used as a tool or a weapon," Chakotay said.
"We'll reconvene here in about 2 hours," I said.
"Al right start dividing the crew Looks like we don't have much daylight left," Chakotay said. "We'll spread the teams out in a standard Alpha search pattern, to see what we have to work with,"
"Chakotay, Torres, you're with me, Alpha team on me, That includes you to," I said the last bit to Clara and Chloe.
"Beta Team, this way," Tuvok said.
"Gamma Team," Harry said.
"Delta team with me," Neelix said.
Then there was a rumble.
"The planet seems to be seismically active," I said.
"At first glance, It's an M Class planet, in a Pliocene stage of evolution," Chakotay said.
"Comparable to Earth several million years ago," I said.
As we saw Voyager taking off. As I heard a growl but didn't see anything.
"Captain," B'Elanna said.
As we turned to see some people across from us. As Voyager took off as I watch her go.
"Come on, We need to find Shelter," I said.
As we started walking again.
Then We found something. "All right people follow me, Take it slow," I said as we started heading in. "This is the most defensible location we've seen so far. The overhang should provide us with shelter and the breeze should keep insects any. Alright. People Let make camp, Harry B'Elanna," As we got to a good area. then brought up the Buffer.
"Where did you get that?" B'Elanna said.
"Hid it before we went into that fight," I said got the cases out. As then opened them. "Alright. Most of weapons of the weaponary are Ballistic. But those ones are mine," As I got the Crossbow out and then the Bolts with it. Then grabbed a radio. "Here both of you take one. They are old 21st century Radio but they keep us in contact with each other," As I got my side arm M9 out and onto my leg and grabbed the life sign detector.
"What is that?" Harry said.
"An ancient Lifesign detector. Only works for me through," I said.
"Because of the gene," B'Elanna said.
"Yeah," I said. "But did manage to get these," As I got some normal Tricorders out.
"Nice," B'Elanna said.
"Right you 2 stay here," I said Taking one too.
"I'm coming to Dad," Clara said.
"No, I need you here watching your sister," I said.
"Okay, But I want to go hunting some time," Clara said. Grabbed a M9 and holster too before heading back in.
"What did she mean," B'Elanna said.
"I'm going hunting. Let me know when the others get here," I said.
"Captain, I should come with you, B'Elanna can look after everyone here," Harry said.
"B'Elanna," I said.
"Fine with me, Captain," B'Elanna said.
"Very well Harry," I said. Getting my hunting knife and then Harry got his things too. "Let's go,"
Then We headed out and started to track some paw prints.
"Captain, I'm reading a pair of animals 2 miles in front of us," Harry said.
"Turn that off Harry, We have to got without tech here," I said. Getting my crossbow ready. Then we went on a bit where we saw a deer like Animal.
"Looks like a deer," Harry whispered.
"Yeah," I whispered back. Then got an aim on it and then Shot the bolt where it hit it on the head.
"Nice shot," Harry said.
"Thanks come on," I said as we headed over and I pulled it out. "Well,"
"No detectable diseases. Or anything that can harm any of us," Harry said.
"Good. Let's get it back to camp," I said as I put my crossbow over my shoulder as we headed back.
"Where did you learn to hunt like that," Harry said.
"An old friend of mine," I said as we got back to camp. Where Harry took it as Neelix's team and Chakotay showed up.
"Hogan is missing," Chakotay said. "But I suspect he is dead. This was all that was left of his uniform, we didn't find anything else,"
"This is my fault, If I hadn't told Hogan to pick up those bones," Neelix said.
"You shouldn't blame yourself Neelix," Kes said.
"Stop it, Now, There's no time to worry about Blame, Hogan was a fine officer and a good man, And our job is to make sure his death is the last one for a long time, I willn't let this planet destroy my crew, Kes, see to it that everyone knows the tunnels are off limits, I want clear safety protocols established, Tuvok we can use more weapons," I said.
"Apart form those you have brought with you Captain, I have already began to design some rudimentary devices," Tuvok said.
"What's our food and water status?" I said.
"I know it sounds grisly but I can make solar stills with the material from this uniform. We could have water tomorrow," Chakotay said.
"Do it. Food," I said.
"Apart from what you and Harry brought back," Chakotay said.
"Captain None of the search teams were able to find planet of any nutritional value," Neelix said.
"Then tell the crew to start turning over rocks," I said. "If anyone balks at eating these. Tell them it's an order from their captain, They may be the difference between life and death," Then I went over to Clara and Chloe.
"Dad, Chloe is getting cold. We need some fire," Clara said.
"I know," I said. "Chakotay working on it. Just keep her as warm as you can,"
"I will Dad," Clara said.
"Captain, how do you like your eggs," Harry said.
"Where?" I said.
"We found a nest about 2 KMs away," B'Elanna said.
"And that's not all, Cucumbers or something like them, There are vines full of them 2 hours from here," Harry said.
"Take them to Neelix, And tell him to hold off on the beetle stew, At least for the time being," I said. Then Went over to Sam and Naomi. "How is she, Sam,"
"I don't know Captain, She seems tired, Listless," Sam said.
"Maybe she's just adjusting to the environment, after all she was born in space, Just stay close to the Fire, As soon as we have one," I said. Then moved over to Chakotay.
"Trapped on a barren Planet, And you're stuck with the only Indian in the universe who can't start a fire by rubbing 2 sticks together. I was never good at it as a child Nor I'm now," Chakotay said.
"Don't be hard on yourself, None of the others have had any success with it either It must be the wood," I said.
"We need kindling of some sort," Chakotay said.
"What?" I said.
"Something my father once told on about starting a fire," Chakotay said. "But I am going need something from Clara,"
"What," I said.
"If I'm going to get this lit. I'm going to cut some of her hair to use on this," Chakotay said.
Then that was went we got B'Elanna also doing it as Harry got some of Clara's and headed in.
"This better be worth it, Dad," Clara said.
"If it get this fire going it will be, Kiddo," I said. Pulling her next to me. As we headed back and Chakotay got it. Then we went into a corner and Clara, Chloe and I cuddled up and then fell asleep.
The Next morning was when I woke up. As I got up and let Clara and Chloe sleep on.
Then I got over to the Others. But I didn't see Neelix or Kes.
But saw Chakotay.
"Where's Neelix and Kes?" I said.
"There are signs of a struggle near the edge of camp, I found alien tracks," Chakotay said.
"We can't wait until later to go after them," I said.
"Well, I'm better at tracking than starting fires," Chakotay said.
"I've completed a few weapons, that might be appropriate, Commander," Tuvok said.
"This is thoughtful of you Tuvok, But my tribe never used bows and arrows and I've never even shot one," Chakotay said.
"This is mine, I taught archery science for several years at the Vulcan Institute of Defensive arts," Tuvok said.
"Take as many crew member as you need, just bring them back," I said.

After a few hours, They still were not back.
"Harry, B'Elanna, Get a team together we need to go after them," I said.
"Aye Captain," Harry said.
"Dad," Clara said.
"Look," I said.
"Look after my sister, I will, Just come back," Clara said.
"I will, kiddo," I said. Then went to get my weapons, But brought my P90 this time. Then meet up with the team that B'Elanna and Harry managed to get. "Let's move," Then we headed out.
But then we saw those aliens outside of a cave.
"Shit, Chakotay and the others may be in there," I said.
"You really think, Chakotay will go in there after Hogan," Harry said.
"If it was his only chance of keeping people alive, We need a distraction," I said. "Who are the fastest runners here?"
"I was on the decathlon team before I quit the academy the Track and field coach was furious with me," B'Elanna said.
"Anyone else," I said.
"Yeah," A Crewman said.
"Okay, you 3 will be the sprint team, Just get back to the camp then you will be safe," I said.
"Then B'Elanna and them got there attention. Then We went in.
"Harry, use your stick then that away," I said.
"Got it," Harry said.
"Chakotay!" I shouted. AS I heard a creature growling. As I ready my P90. "TUVOK!"
"The Tunnel is clear Harry said.
"Go," Chakotay said.
As Kes got over to me.
"Kes you okay," I said.
"Am now," Kes said.
"Everybody out," Chakotay said.
"Tuvok, Chakotay find a way to collapse this tunnel, This should so it down," I said firing bursts at it.
"It's collapsing," Chakotay said.
"Out, Out, Out," I said as we ran out. As it collapsed and as what ever that was screamed.
"Come one," Chakotay said as I got next to Kes and we ran back to base.
"You okay," I said as we got back.
"Yes," Kes said. As I hugged her. "I missed you too,"
"After what transpired I Believe we have to prepare ourselves for an alien attack, Captain," Tuvok said. "Our priority should be to increase the weapons arsenal and to begin training everyone in the use of these weapons,"
"I don't like the sound of that, Tuvok, We may have to coexist with these aliens for a long time," I said.
"Nevertheless," Tuvok said.
"I agree with the Captain, we have to find a way to share this world with them," Chakotay said.
"You may find nobility in a savage, Commander, But he is only interested in Killing you," Tuvok said.
"DAD!" Clara shouted coming towards me. "Naomi is very sick she's having trouble breathing, She has a high fever, There's nothing more that Kes can do for her. I don't want to risk using my enzyme on her either,"
"Captain," Harry said. As we headed over.
"I think our priority has just been dictated, Break camp we've got to get out of here before it blows," I said as I ran and hit the button on the buffer beaming everything back in and got geared up. Then Ran over to Chloe and got her up. "Chloe come on, we have to go,"
"I got her Dad," Clara said as we got up and then we started got head away from the camp. Then it blows.
"MOVE!" I shouted as we run for higher ground. We managed to get up then we heard a scream for help and we found those aliens there and Chakotay went into help the woman there and got her out as Harry helped her and Chakotay up. Then Both my crew and the aliens headed up more to keep away from the Lava. where we managed to find a safe spot where, I left Clara and Chloe together with Kes. As The leader helped us with Naomi. Where he damped something and out it on her chest. Then Sam covered her. As Kes and the girls came over.
"She's feeling better isn't she?" Kes said. As he said Yes in his language.
"She's going to be okay, Sam," I said. "Yeah, you going to be fine. Kiddo,"
"DAD!" Clara said. "Look," As we turned and saw Voyager coming into the horizon.
"Let's go," I said as we reached the landing site and we all boarded Voyager again. Then Harry, and I headed to the Bridge. Where we found Tom.
"Welcome Home, Captain,
"Well Done, Tom," I said.
"I had a lot of help, The Talaxians, The Doc. Mr. Suder," Tom said.
"Suder, We through he died doing the attack," Harry said.
"No, he and the Doc sabotaged the ship, Suder disabled the Phasers before they killed him," Tom said.
"Good work Tom, I want a full system diagnostics done after we get back into space," I said.
"I'll get to the Captain," Tom said.
"Then let's do it," I said.
As I went into my ready room as we left the planet. Where Clara and Chloe came into my ready room.
"Dad," Clara said.
"We got home," I said. As they came over and hugged me tight. "Come on, let's get Voyager heading home again," As we headed out. "Harry is Voyager capable of sustained flight?"
"All propulsion and Navigational systems are functioning within normal parameters, Captain," Harry said.
"Good, Tom, get us away from our new home and set a course for Earth, Warp 9," I said.
"Heading 14 mark 77, Destination: Alpha quadrant," Tom said.
"Engage," I said.
As we took of into warp.
