Note: Tomorrow will be the dinner party so it will be a longer Chapter I had a few things to do today which is why I only have 1 cha. I know that I usually post a couple of times but I assure you the chapter tomorrow will be a longer one. So hopefully it will make up for not posting twice. Chapter 38

Ana

"Ok everyone we need to get this wedding planned Christian, Huldah knows what the theme is for the wedding so could you guys go and work on that please? I need to arrange the dinner party I promised Dad we would have before the wedding. Originally I was going to make it a grown ups only party but I think in light of what has happened with Ava I want the kids safe here with us. So I was thinking of having a small intimate family party here nothing to flashy just something where we can all relax and have fun before the wedding. What do you guys think?"

Christian was just looking at her with a beautiful smile on his gorgeous face. "I love that idea kitten. I feel the same I would rather have them all here with us so that we can make sure they are all safe so that's a perfect idea baby. We will go sort out the venue and theme for the wedding so don't worry about that. Have you had any thoughts about the music you want?"

" Actually yeah I loved the music at my parents party so was wondering if we could hire the same DJ as they had if that's ok?" He gently stroked the back of his hand down her cheek making her lean into his touch. The way he was looking at her just made her fall in love with him all over again.

"Ok love birds hate to break up this little moment you have going on here but we have to go get this wedding planned we only have a few more days and lots to do'" Huldah was rocking back and forth on her heels tapping her watch with her eye brows raised. Ana couldn't help but laugh at her.

She had to admit knowing that they had stopped Ava from being in pain, and that not only would she be Christians wife in a few days but that she would get her revenge on the sadistic bitch that did this made And get excited.

"Christian before you leave I have been thinking about out wedding rings I would like to get yours but I want it to be a surprise is that ok?" She felt a bit nervous after all this would be a ring he would wear for eternity but when she saw the description of the 8mm Elysium pressed black diamond wedding band in a custom dome design with a matte finish as the website described she loved the sound of it . Then when she saw the picture she knew that it was perfect for him. It was stunning and masculine and that is exactly how she saw Christian.

"Baby I was going to talk to you about that I have had yours made to fit around your engagement ring. So if you want to keep mine a surprise then that's perfect because I want yours to be a surprise as well." He smiled before he gave her an all consuming kiss that had her melting against him before he walked to the elevator leaving her wanting to run after him. Would that man always leave her panting and wanting more with nothing but a kiss? she thought with a smile and her hand touching her lips.

She hadn't realised that Artemis and Apollo were still there until she heard a cough. They were looking at her with knowing smiles on their faces causing a blush to creep up Ana's face. "Ok I can't help it we are still in the honeymoon period." She said shrugging her shoulders and trying to sound casual and failing miserably. They were both laughing softy before Apollo became serious again it was so nice when he laughed because he hardly ever did it his smile and laughed changed his whole face making him look so much younger.

"Ana myself and Artemis would like to keep an eye on your sister and her children to keep them safe. Artemis has developed a strong bond with you and your family and with everything that has happened she would feel better if they were protected. At least until you get through the coronation as no doubt there may be attempts to stop it and we have already seen that your enemies will go after your family to get to you. Is that ok?"

"Apollo that would be amazing if I am honest I naively didn't think about that with everything that has happened I didn't think about people trying to stop the coronation or putting any more of my family in danger so thank you so so much. I have so much trust in you both and can't think of anyone better to protect those I love. Thank you and I will forever be in your debt." She hugged them both but when she hugged Apollo she felt his whole body stiffened a little before relaxing slightly he was obviously not used to someone hugging him.

She walked back into the lounge area with Artemis and Apollo to see Kate sat on a play matt the twins lying in front of her giggling as she tickled them both it was such a sweet sight. She had to admit she was so glad that the twins hadn't done anything that would cause Ana to have to wipe her sisters memory again she didn't think it would be wise to do that twice in one day. She really needed to ask Christian if it's dangerous to wipe their memories she didn't like messing with peoples minds.

Ana walked Apollo and Artemis to the elevator saying good by to them. She didn't miss the look Apollo was giving Kate or the look Kate was returning. She looked at Kate with a raised eye brow and small smile making Kate blush and look back down at the babies. Artemis was stood behind her brother looking like she was holding in a laugh. So she obviously caught the silent exchange between the two. Artemis winked at Ana before walking into the elevator with Apollo.

Turning back to face Kate shaking thoughts of matching making from her mind. She knew they had lots to do . "Ok Kate up you get lets get these two in their chairs. If you could please go to the kitchen there are two bottles could you heat the up and bring them in. Then we have a little family get together to plan."

Kate walked out of the room when Ana's phone rang picking it up she saw that it was her Mom. "Hey Mom did you manage to find out if Ava has drawn anything else?"

"Yes I did it looks like a cell full of flames but that's not why I'm calling . When I got there Ava was screaming in pain. It stopped quite quickly but for few minutes she was in agony. Izzy was scared and even though the pain has stopped she wanted to get her checked out at the hospital which I really don't blame her for. Even though I know that they won't find anything she just needs to make sure that Ava is ok. Ana it was awful she couldn't breath through the pain her face was drenched in sweat and tears. I can never see her like that ever again. I have never felt so helpless because I knew there was nothing that I could do to help her." Ana could hear the tears in her Moms voice and she could feel the tears running down her own face.

She felt someone shimmering in behind her thankfully Kate was still in the kitchen. She turned to see that it was Christian. He walked over seeing her tears and without a word he held her close to him while she continued talking to her Mom.

"What can I do Mom? do you think I should call Izzy and see if she wants me to meet her at the hospital?" At this question Christian pulled back not caring that she was still on the phone.

"Why is Izzy at the Hospital?" She looked up at him then saw movement behind him seeing Kate stood frozen with a look of concern on her face.

"Ana is Izzy ok? why is she at the hospital? who's on the phone?" Ana took a deep breath before talking to them both.

" Izzy is ok, it was Ava, she was in pain this morning and Izzy wanted to have her checked because there is nothing that she could see that was causing the pain. The pain has stopped now but Izzy still wants her checked out so it's nothing to worry about I just don't want Izzy on her own." Once she had finished talking to a slightly relieved Kate and an angry looking Christian she went back to talking to her Mom.

"Mom does Izzy need anyone there with her? I can go to her straight away."

"No Ana sweetheart she will be fine she asked me to call Elliot so he was on his way to the hospital last time I spoke to him he should be there now. She will be fine don't worry just work on stopping this from happening Ana because that little girl can never ever go through that pain again ok."

Ana felt her heart breaking and all she wanted to do was storm the gates of heaven and kill Lilith in the most painful way possible over and over again.

She took a deep breath to calm herself down wiped her tears said her goodbyes to her Mom telling her that she would fix it and then hung up. Turning to face Christian and Kate she put on a smile even though she knew that they both could see that it was completely fake.

"Kate honey could you give the bottles to the babies until we come in and help can you just hold them for them?" She didn't want Kate knowing that the twins could feed themselves and she needed time to talk to Christian.

" Yeah sure no problem is Ava really ok?" Kate looked close to tears.

" She is find babe don't worry Izzy is just being cautious I will text Mom and tell her to get Izzy to call us when she is home from the Hospital and they we can hopefully speak to Ava as well ok." Kate smiled a little brighter when Ana said that. Ana relaxed a bit but when she looked at Christian she could still see that he was beyond fuming he still had his back to Kate so she couldn't see how angry he was.

"Christian honey could you come with me please." She took his hand pulling him with her. When they reached the kitchen Christian grabbed the marble counter top crushing it to dust. What the fuck, she had never seen him do anything like that before.

"Christian baby I know you're angry. I feel the same but could you try not to destroy our home please?" He looked at her not taking in what she had just said until he looked down seeing the broken counter and with a movement of his hand it was back to looking brand new. She took note of that for later to see if it was something she could do it would definitely come in handy with twins.

Christian pulled her from her thoughts when he spoke she could hear the control that sounded like was hanging by a thread.

"She felt his fucking pain, we were to late I didn't want her to feel any pain I wanted to get to him before she felt anything and WE WERE TO FUCKING LATE." He had broken out into his other self and Ana had to quickly look at the door to make sure that Kate didn't come in.

She stepped closer to him grabbing his face noticing his white eyes with a blue flame flickering in them. His fangs had grown so long they cam to just above his chin he looked deadly. She really needed to calm him down. He was so huge and reaching his face was a struggle but she had to get him to look at her it was the only way she could think of to calm him. It was like trying to calm a caged rabid Lion and she had to admit she was a little afraid, but she knew him, she trusted him and knew that he would never hurt her.

"Christian please baby, I need you to calm down if Kate comes in now you will scare her please honey calm down and come back to me." He blinked a couple of times when she could see him getting smaller his eyes returning to normal and his wings disappearing. She breathed a sigh of relief.

" I know you are angry, so am I. We will make them pay publicly. We will make a bigger example of them. We will bring the bitch back from heaven and we will bring Asmodeous back from Tartarus and we will have fun getting our revenge before they return to Tartarus I promise you that they will not get away with this I will make sure of it."

He nodded before grabbing her in a crushing hold. " Ana I have never cared about or loved anyone until I met you and now I have vulnerabilities and that scares me. I can't be hurt physically but now I have this big family and I love them but that makes things dangerous for them I don't know how to handle these feelings. If any of you got hurt or worse it would destroy me I'm not used to feeling like this."

He buried his head in the her hair his hand on the back of her head inhaling deeply as if to calm himself down. When she felt his body relax she pulled back a little to look up at him.

"Honey you don't have to deal with these feelings alone you have me and you always will we are strong and we will fight anything that comes our way we will protect our family together ok?" He smiled down at her but she could see tears in his eyes and it crushed her a little.

"I just can't get the thought that Ava was in pain out of my head. I know what Asmodeous punishment is and to know that Ava even felt a second of that makes me sick." She looked at him wanting to know what his punishment was until it hit her. What Ava had drawn.

"He was burning wasn't he? She felt him burning" She felt like she was going to be sick.

"Yes he was and he will again believe me when the link is broken he and Lilith will both burn." She nodded took a deep breath and composed herself.

" Ok come on we have a dinner party to arrange. I want it to be tomorrow night so we can have Ava here having fun and hopefully take her mind of what happened today."

They walked back into the lounge area seeing Kate sat between the twins chairs feeding them and chattering away to them making them randomly stop drinking to smile at her.

"Kate want some help feeding them?" She looked up smiling.

"Nope I'm fine right here with these little ones thanks although when they need burping then yeah I will need your help."

"Ok honey let me know when they have finished. Christian do you need to get back to Huldah while we arrange the family gathering." He thought for a few minutes clearly not wanting to leave.

"I would rather stay here but Huldah needs me to help her so I will be back in a couple of hours." Ah so he hadn't been thinking about what to do ,like she had suspected he was clearly talking to Huldah in his head. She kissed him good bye and by the time he had gone the twins had finished their bottles so she picked up Theo and carried him over to the sofa were they sat next to Kate and Abigail.

The next few hours were spent arranging the family night that she had to say she couldn't wait for. If there was one thing this family needed it was fun and considering the literal hell they had been through they had earned it.
