Peparia, Chronoa and Trunks stood inside the Time Nest, waiting for Demigra's next move. Everyone present was well rested and well fed and were ready for the fight to come. And Demigra didn't disappoint; everyone suddenly felt dark presences in Toki Toki City.

"Trunks, take care of Toki Toki. Peparia, head out into the city to fend off Demigra's pawns. I have something I need to do," Chronoa said.

Trunks drew his sword and prepared to fight, and Peparia nodded, heading out into the city. And as soon as she was out of the Time Nest, she saw the sky turn dark; Chronoa was using the Dragon Balls.

But Peparia couldn't worry about that now, as she had a job to do. And as she touched down in the city, she saw what Demigra had done; he pulled Frieza, chaotic Buu and Super Perfect Cell from their timelines and gave them a power up. Peparia would need to kill them before she could return to the Time Nest.

But just as Peparia was about to engage in battle, Kakarot teleported in. And that was when Peparia knew what had happened; much like her other trainers, Chronoa had wished for a version of Kakarot who had experienced all timelines and was in his most powerful state, as she could tell when he transformed into Super Saiyan Blue.

Peparia grinned and transformed into Super Saiyan 2 and joined in the fray. Peparia went after Cell first, as she knew him the best after all those years of training. But this Cell lacked the experience her training partner had, so she managed to dispatch him quickly, ending the fight with a Final Flash.

She turned to Frieza next while Kakarot handled Buu. And unlike Buu, Frieza couldn't regenerate, so she put a fist through his chest as Kakarot ended his fight with a Super Saiyan Blue Kamehameha.

But Demigra wasn't done. He had used his dark magic to take control of the trainers. All of them were under Demigra's influence, so they couldn't just kill them. They had to be knocked out.

Kakarot and Peparia made their way through the trainers, most taking very little to knock out, but eventually, Vegeta, Gohan and Gotenks entered the fray.

Trunks and Kakarot tried to reason with them, and they had gotten through a little, but Demigra's magic was too strong. They all had to be knocked out, though Vegeta's response was the most heartwarming; Trunks was able to get through to him in a way that Kakarot couldn't do with his own sons.

When the battles were over, Peparia powered down and looked at Kakarot.

"I'll go to Namek and gather their Dragon Balls so we can restore the damage done in this battle," Kakarot said. "I'll meet you in the Time Nest when I get back."

"Got it," Peparia said, holding her hand out in friendship. Kakarot took her hand and shook it. "See you soon."

But Kakarot left at the worst possible time, as when Peparia looked up, the sky had darkened once again, the giant hourglass in the middle of the city was shattered. Demigra had escaped the crack of time, and Peparia could no longer sense the presence of Toki Toki. Whatever Demigra had done, that bird was gone.

Peparia flew full speed toward Demigra but saw that he had another minion at his disposal, Trunks. Peparia would need to battle the young Time Patroller, and she would need to hurt him badly.

Peparia flew full speed at Trunks, Demigra's taunts echoing in her ears; how could she hurt her ally and descendant like this? But Trunks had enough of himself remaining to say "It's okay. I can use a Senzu later. Just do what you have to do." This shocked Demigra, of course, since he didn't believe that anyone had the will to push back against him.

But Demigra had another trick up his sleeve. Once Trunks was down, Demigra used his magic to take control of Peparia. And all of a sudden, all of her fears and regrets overcame her mind. All that was left unsaid with Lottus. Her regret that she never got to raise either of her children past the age of four. Her anger at the Saiyans and what they'd become after landing on Plant. And what Peparia regretted most of all was how she'd never once in her life told anyone that she loved them.

But Peparia had conquered her demons. They had no sway over her. She let out a powerful kiai and transformed into a Super Saiyan 2, dispelling Demigra's magic.

"What?" Demigra shouted, clearly shocked at this development. "How?"

"I'm a warrior, Demigra," Peparia said, smirking. "I've defeated my enemies inside and out!"

Demigra glared at Peparia and began powering up. But that was the time Kakarot returned to the battle, having locked on to Peparia's ki for his Instant Transmission. He powered up to super Saiyan Blue and dropped into a fighting stance.

The battle went in the heroes' favor, as not even Demigra's magic could keep up with two of the most powerful warriors in history. They threw him around like a ragdoll, bashing him back and forth between them with punches, kicks and beams. But eventually, they wore him down, and he fell into the lower part of the cracked hourglass, sinking into the sand.

But Demigra wasn't finished. His ki suddenly appeared inside the Time Nest, forcing Kakarot to teleport them back inside. What they found was horrifying; Demigra had charged up a large ball of ki to destroy the Time Nest and all the scrolls within them. Chronoa pleaded with Demigra to not do this, as destroying history would destroy him as well.

But Demigra was not swayed, forcing Peparia and Kakarot to enter the fray. But Demigra had prepared for that too; he threw magical scepters at them, and one went through Peparia's heart. This caused Kakarot to turn his focus toward Peparia, only for him to be hit by multiple scepters to hit him, pinning him to the ground. Demigra had won.
