Instigating Romance

Katara squeaked as Zuko nipped her shoulder with his teeth. He nuzzled her nape and planted kisses along her neck and collarbone. Katara uttered a happy moan for his efforts. Zuko pecked her on the lips and smiled.

"You'll feel freer once you tell him your truth." He whispered resting his head on top of hers. Katara sighed deeply.

"I know." She whispered sadly.

Suki stood on the other side of the wall in shock. She knew Katara and Zuko were together since the Yon Rah situation, but they kept it very hush-hush apparently for Aang's sake. This was more than just a flirt or crush. Those two were in a full-on relationship and couldn't enjoy it.

Well, Suki believes in free love in relationships. Aang should not get to dictate who Katara likes. Learning about love and loss is a part of life and he shouldn't be shielded from it just because he's the Avatar. Suki suddenly got an idea that would require her earthbending friend and a little subterfuge.

When Suki found her blind companion, Toph was all in.

"I've been waiting for this moment for weeks! Aang stalks Sugar Queen you know…" Toph said matter of factly.

"No!" Suki said in disbelief. "Stalks her like stalks her stalks her?" she asked.

"Yes, those two can barely spend any alone time together because Aang is always lurking around and peeking in. It's embarrassing." She said. Suki's eyes lit up.

"I have the perfect idea to give those two a fighting chance." She said.

"I'm all ears Fan Girl," Toph said with a wicked grin. That afternoon, Toph made an announcement.

"Snoozles, Fan Girl, you're with me and Aang this afternoon for a little adventure I like to call Escape room. Aang you, Suki, and Sokka will be locked in a set of caverns that you will have to figure out how to leave. If you don't get out of the room in a certain amount of time you will be let out and lose a point." Sokka and Suki pretended to be shocked but knew this was a part of their plan. Aang squealed.

"Escape room? I've never heard of that. I can't wait!" he cheered. Toph cackled.

"Not so fast Twinkletoes! I haven't finished explaining. For every point you lose, I gain. Whoever has the least points at the end of the game has to pay for dinner in town tonight," She said. Aang's eyes lit up.

"Oh, you're on…wait, but what about Katara and Zuko? Aren't they coming too?" he asked with concern. Toph shook her head.

"Nope. Those two will be working on their relationship and teambuilding skills. They are housebound until we return." Aang smiled happily though inwardly he wanted Katara to come too.

"Well, they could learn to get along better. Let's go!" he said grabbing Toph by the hand.
