Luna and Liz, the queens of going after each other for seemingly no good reason, both sat next to each other, cross-armed and turned towards the wall, in the cafeteria. Despite the fact that there was plenty of tables for them to sit at, they still found themselves at the same one, as if maybe to get a better way to go after each other. Luna huffed, irritated with the whole situation.

"Don't you have somewhere else to be?" the model asked her scientist rival, in her usual snooty tone.

"And miss out on messing with you and your pea brain?" Liz jokingly replied, "No way, not a chance."

"Whatever, I can deal with a pesky nuisance like you just fine anyways."

"Oh no, she's whipping out the big words, I'm so scared."

"La la la, can't hear you!"

"Very mature."

"As if you were any more mature than me."

Liz gritted her teeth, finding Luna to be more obnoxious than she usually was.

"You're so boring."

"I'm boring!?" Luna looked incredibly offended for such a low level insult.

"Yeah, boring."

"Well, if I'm so boring, why don't you just hang out with that greedy boyfriend of yours?"

"Sounds like somebody's jealous because nobody likes them."

"Haha, very funny. Why would I be jealous of you? I'm simply prettier and more interesting than you."

"You're jealous because you can't find love and you're self-obsessed. The only person that could love you is yourself."

Luna stood from her seat, almost as if she was ready to fight Liz. The scientist simply laughed it off, lounging in her chair as she looked up at her.

"What are you gonna do, hit me?"

"Yeah," Luna replied bluntly.

She swiftly and elegantly slapped Liz across the face, immediately leaving a red mark where her hand hit. Her rival started to rub her cheek in pain, glaring at Luna.

"What the hell was that for?" she asked, clearly a lot angrier now than before.

"You deserved it, making those snide comments of yours."

"As if you treat me any better than that."

"I know that people could love me, how couldn't they? Have you seen me?"

"Looks aren't everything, people expect some kind of personality from you that isn't abrasive as hell."

"Shut up, you're not one to talk."

"Clearly I am, because look, here I am in a relationship with someone who cares about me...while you remain single."

Luna turned from her, refusing to look her in the eyes with the sad look that was on her face. She started to walk away, hearing Tony head to the table that she was sitting at before. She could hear them talking to each other all lovingly and whatnot, which wouldn't have bothered her normally, but the insults that her rival swung her way left a sad realization that she may have been right about her.
