Pomorie was in the nurse's office with her friends and Ami after what had happened with Srebarna's foot earlier that day when it came to the match. Ami and Pomorie were having a nice chat as they were discussing the possible future of Yogurt Academy.
"Srebarna is continuing to lose it." Pomorie began. Ami looked at her as began speaking to Pomorie.
"I noticed, first with Erika and now with Srebarna. When you told others to point and laugh at Srebarna when she was balling her eyes out from her injury, was it the best reaction you could have pulled off for your team mates?" Ami asked as she wanted Pomorie to be very honest with herself.
"No." Pomorie replied. Ami looked at Pomorie as she did come up with the correct answer.
"Good. A team mate shouldn't go out of their way to humiliate one of their own for their mistakes. However the way Srebarna displayed herself at the end of the match, I guess you had your reasons to laugh at her." Ami told Pomorie about what it meant to be a team player but she definitely had her reasoning with Srebarna's behavior over the past few matches. "I know you three are the best Yogurt Academy has to offer but don't go laughing at your teammates while they are whining." The nurse motioned them inside the room as the four of them got up and walked right in.
"So how is her foot?" Rila asked curiously about what was happening with Srebarna. The Yogurt Academy nurse looked at them as she began with the conclusion.
"Srebarna's right foot has been completely busted and she definitely broke her ankle a bit so she's going to be resting for the next few days." The nurse looked at them as she showed them the fiery ginger haired student, her right foot and ankle had been bandaged up tight to let the injured limb heal faster. Pomorie definitely felt what it was to have an injury like that. Ami looked at the nurse as she knew she had some important matters to discuss with her. She turned to Pomorie and the gang.
"You three are dismissed. Pomorie I'll get to you within an hour, I'll need to discuss something with the nurse first." Ami politely dismissed them. Pomorie, Rila and Varna turned and began walking away. Pomorie takes one last look at Srebarna as she laid there in the nurse's bed with her foot bandaged up. She turned away and walked out the door. She hoped that Ami had something to say to her that wasn't about her behavior for the last match.
Pomorie waited around for an hour all by herself in her dorm as she felt down about the whole situation. Rila and Varna were busy with their work but Pomorie didn't seem motivated to do much. Then her phone began buzzing as it was Ami Chono who was calling.
"Hello there Pomorie." Ami sounded with an excited voice. Pomorie was taken by surprise by this behavior.
"Oh Ami, you sound excited, you want to yell and berate me right?" Pomorie asked as she was expecting Ami to scream at her for her behavior.
"No, quite the opposite. I was talking to the nurse as we decided that the team could be reorganized for the matches coming up so I have some really good news for you Pomorie." Ami explained in a cheerful voice.
"What is it then?" Pomorie asked as she was getting excited about this.
"We agreed that Srebarna will no longer be team leader of the Sensha-do team and the leadership position has been passed to you Pomorie. I'm excited about this as it means that you are now the leader of the Sensha-Do team." Ami decided to tell Pomorie about this as this was something to truly get excited over. Pomorie's eyes widened with excitement.
"Really? That's incredible Ami, thank you so much!" Pomorie was in a flurry of thanks as she really liked this position. Ami laughed as she began laying out the rules of the position.
"Remember being the leader of the team is your responsibility. You get to decide where tanks will go and when and you need to agree with the other leaders in these free for all matches. While you are the leader of the team, you still need to obey the student council as Srebarna is still leading that. So while you lead the team, do not do anything funny with her and I would have to reconsider that decision." Ami told Pomorie that the responsibility was hers.
"I got you." Pomorie told Ami as she was up for the challenge. Ami laughed as she had other business to call her with about.
"Also tomorrow, I would like to see you and your friends Rila and Varna as there is some place special that I want to have you come over." Ami decided to lay out an invitation for them to come over. Pomorie had more of a reason to get excited.
"When you want us to come?" Pomorie asked as she wanted to plan this so she could get ready.
"Tomorrow at ten in the morning, do not be tardy." Ami told Pomorie as she nodded and made the promise.
"I promise I won't!" Pomorie swore that she was going to show up on time. Ami hung up as Pomorie was super excited about this. It could possibly be the most exciting thing she has ever done.
Pomorie, Rila and Varna were on their way to where Ami promised to take them as the three of them couldn't contain their excitement.
"I don't know what miss Chono has in store for us?" Varna asked as she was excited to see what Ami had waiting for them.
"Who knows, as an instructor she must have something to give us or maybe a present?" Rila asked as she could be thinking what Ami could have.
"She could possibly give us a few Panzers to bolster our collection?" Pomorie asked as Yogurt academy was in a desperate need of heavier tanks. Varna looked at Pomorie as she poked her nose.
"That could be a possibility." Varna remained excited. The helicopter landed on a vast ship as it was bigger than any of the other school ships put together. Pomorie was in awe of it as this was truly something spectacular. Once the helicopter came to a stop the door opened as Ami was waiting for the crew.
"Nice to see you three have come right on time. Hop on in so I can take you to this place." Ami told Pomorie and her friends to get on in to get a BFV type ot tracked vehicle. The Bradley fired up and began transporting them to the place. Pomorie looked on as recruits were being made in many of the schools that once they've graduated, those that wanted to come here would as they would promise to serve their country. Rila and Varna looked on as they were curious about where Ami was taking them. They didn't want to ask as it might spoil the surprise. Once the Bradley Fighting Vehicle pulled up to the destination, the four occupants got out as they walked into the store.
The store was huge on the inside as it was like a car store but with tanks inside. Pomorie couldn't believe her eyes as the students wandered around as they could barely contain their excitement.
"My goodness there's so many tanks in here." Rila began as she continued to look around this was truly an exciting place.
"Welcome to Chono's humble tank shop where students can pick out their own tanks for their schools and their Sensha-Do team. We have everything from Light tanks to SPG'S and tank destroyers. I'll give you a tour around while we try meeting your needs." Ami gave an introduction as she continued to tour the place. She grabbed a piece of paper as she wanted Pomorie to list down what Yogurt Academy needed. "Once you give your suggestion, I'll give you a tour of the tanks you need to see what you wanted for your team."
"Sounds good." Pomorie replied as she grabbed a pencil from the bucket as she began listing down what Yogurt Academy was in need of. She wrote: Medium tank and Tank Destroyers. Ami grabbed the paper as Pomorie placed the pencil back in the bucket. Once Ami deposited the paper into the scanner the Machine began to speak out:
"Medium tanks and Tank destroyers shall be on your left and center." The machine told them as it gave the location for where those tanks were located. Ami nodded as she began to lead the group. Pomorie needed to ask something to Ami first.
"Ami, I know this is a treat but what's the reason why you've brought us here in the first place?" Pomorie asked why Ami decided to invite them here in particular. Ami looked at Pomorie as she had the answer.
"I've been listening to your conversations on how your school needed bigger tanks so I decided to bring you here to see what tanks you were interested in purchasing and using for your school. So I brought you all here." Ami told Pomorie about what Yogurt Academy meant by they needed bigger tanks for fielding. Pomorie nodded as they walked around. Pomorie, Rila and Varna were looking around as students from the other schools were busy with the models of tanks they were going to use for their schools. Pomorie knew this was a tank enthusiasts dream come true.
"So might as well test a few models and see how many we want?" Varna asked as Ami nodded.
"That's correct my friend. Now with this I want to give you a test to see what will do good so you can purchase these tanks straight away but it does mean you will need to paint them so get creative." Ami told them as they were approaching the first tank of the bunch, The Panzer 38T, the tank was grey as it had the standard code of the JSDGF logo painted on it. "Well this is the first tank of the bunch. You girls are fine with climbing in on your own?" Ami asked if they were fine or needed the assistance.
"We should be good but thank you for asking." Pomorie responded as she was the first to climb into the Panzer 38T. Rila followed in next with Varna coming in last, the three girls settled down inside as they began looking around and getting used to the controls. Each girl got into their respected positions as they got settled in. With all of these tanks in the shop, none had engines or even functioning weapons for that matter as they were mostly used for display and to test out with the students. Pomorie fired the main cannon with excitement. The cannon lit up a reddish orange light for a moment before going out again. There was a light bulb in the cannon. Rila got onto the machine gun in the hull as she looked up to Pomorie.
"Locked and loaded." Rila smiled as the gun began lighting up with the same bright light that a light bulb would have but it was only active if the trigger was squeezed. Rila released the trigger as Pomorie noticed something on this tank, a second machine gun. She grabbed it and began firing away as the same yellowish glow came from the light bulb inside. Ami was watching as the speakers were going off with the tanks.
"You girls having fun?" Ami asked if they were enjoying themselves with the Panzer 38T.
"Yes we are. A lot of fun actually." Pomorie called out as they began to exit the tank. Ami laughed.
"There's plenty more I need to show you so don't spend all day with this one tank." Ami told them as they had plenty more tanks to look at before making a decision. She began guiding them to another or rather a bunch of them. "This is the Panzer 4. There are several models of this tank that you might want to check out like the one with a short 75mm gun or the one with the long barrel, one with side skirting armor. Which one do you want to try?" Ami laid out their options as Pomorie had some time to decide on the matter.
"Let's try the one with the long barrel." Pomorie suggested as she was pointing to the Panzer 4 F2 model. Ami smiled as she decided to let the girls try it out for themselves. Pomorie, Rila and Varna climbed into the tank by either the commander's hatch or the escape hatches as they got accustomed to their new tank.
"Okay let's get accustomed to our new tank, I see a tank with a long and capable gun. We take out that window up ahead." Rila told Pomorie as she was ready to fire. "Fire away." The light bulb on the tank's gun flashed as the noise gave off as it was being fired. Just like the Panzer 38T, the Panzer 4 had two machine guns. Varna and Pomorie got on the machine guns as they began firing. The light bulbs on the Mg's flashed as it was more of a flicker meaning there was a small delay before the light could flash again. Ami was watching as the girls were having fun with the tank.
"Seems to me you girls love it. Let's move on to one last medium tank to see what you would like." Ami told them as she was making a list of tanks they wanted. Pomorie got her head out as she motioned them to follow her as they got one last tank for medium tanks they were going to cover. Varna and Rila followed out as they were enjoying themselves. Ami walked them up to the last medium tank they were going to use. "Here it is, the last medium tank of the bunch. A Panzer V Panther." Ami told them.
"Woah! Must look like one of those tanks that Kuromorimine have on their team." Varna's eyes sparkled as she decided to take the lead this time and climbed onto the tank. Pomorie and Rila followed behind. Rila was climbing as her foot slipped and she nearly fell down. Pomorie grabbed Rila to make sure she didn't fall down.
"I got you. Climb up." Pomorie told Rila that she was secured. Varna entered the tank first followed by Rila and lastly Pomorie. Ami watched on as she was impressed.
"I do like your level of team work you three. Keep it up." Ami continued to encourage them to keep trying. The three of them were now inside of the Panther tank as Pomorie and the others began settling in.
"You three ready to try this tank out?" Pomorie asked her friends if they were up for the challenge. Rila and Varna nodded as Pomorie smiled. She grabbed the main gun and pulled the trigger. The firing sound was much louder but like the other tanks, this one had a light bulb to show that it was firing. Once after testing the main gun, they began looking at the machine guns. Three of them were there, one for each girl. Each girl got onto the machine guns as they began firing them all off simultaneously. The light bulbs flickered as the trigger was pulled. Ami looked on as she was enjoying the sight of the girls firing away. After a few seconds the firing stopped as Ami clapped.
"Bravo girls. Now I want to see if you three were interested in some Tank destroyers." Ami gave the news for the girls to see if they were still interested. Pomorie stuck her head out and smiled. She will be excited to try the new tanks out.
"Sure thing, give us a moment to get out." Pomorie responded as she began to get out of her tank. Rila followed next as Varna got out last. Pomorie got off the Panther first followed but the others as she and Ami helped them off the Panther.
"Okay now let's go find some Tank destroyers to field your team with." Ami decided that they had enough with the medium tanks and might as well get some tank destroyers for Yogurt Academy. The path from the left of the tank store to the center was pretty straight forward. The students were amazed by the medium tanks. First came the tried and true tank destroyer. "This is the StuG 3. We got D models, F models and G models as they are all similar but with minor differences like the gun they used." Ami explained to the crew what tanks they would be most comfortable using.
"What do you girls think?" Varna asked as she was looking at the models. Pomorie began thinking as she had her sights on one tank.
"I say the G model." Pomorie told them as they began walking up to the tank. Getting in this tank was much easier than getting in something like a Panther. It's low stature made climbing into the tank a little easier. Ami began to speak.
"Remember girls the machine gun is mounted onto the roof in these tank destroyers so it will not be wise to get out and fire the gun manually although that is possible. There is a little whistle lever that can fire it automatically as well as the camera system that was just recently installed into these tank destroyers which makes aiming the guns and hitting the targets much easier." Ami explained what these new devices on the tank had. Rila began working the camera system while Pomorie wanted to squeeze that trigger.
"Got ya and fire." Pomorie squeezed the trigger to fire the tanks cannon. The light bulb flashed for a second as it gave the illusion that it fired. Rila knew where the camera was and how it was working. She grabbed the whistle as she pulled it down, this activated the machine gun which the pulses of yellow light were much fainter before the bulb went out completely.
"Okay I think the light bulb in the machine gun went out, I'll have that replaced later today but we have two more tanks left." Ami told them as this was the first technical malfunction to happen. The girls got out of the StuG 3 as they began walking over to the next tank of the area that they were going to test out. Ami decided to place a note onto the StuG 3 G model indicating that the tank was out of order and needed to be fixed. "Okay we have the Jagdpanzer 4. This is similar to the StuG 3 but moreover built as a tank hunter, much like everything else, it has all the features of the StuG 3." Pomorie and her friends had an easy time climbing into the Jagdpanzer 4 as it was pretty easy to get in and out of a tank destroyer.
"You know the drill everyone." Pomorie told her friends as they were going to wash, rinse, repeat with these tanks. "Fire!" She shouted before pulling the trigger. The light bulb in the Jagdpaanzer 4 flashed for a moment as Ami watched. Rila was a bit faster this time working the screen of the machine gun. She grabbed a lever and pulled down on it as the roof mounted machine gun opened up. The yellow flashes were much more visible this time as Ami was judging their performance. She wrote the tank's name down.
"Good work ladies, there is one more tank that I want you to try out before I can call for a conclusion." Ami told them as there was another tank that they needed to test before deciding what tanks they needed and how many from each type. Pomorie and her friends got out of the Jagdpanzer 4 and began walking to the last tank model. "This is the Jagdpanzer 38T Hetzer. I got reports from the new tech from Turtle team in Ooarai, the roof mounted cameras, the whistle machine guns and the screens in these tanks are working a lot better, much to their advantage." Pomorie huffed as she had to test this tank out but fortunately this was their last one.
"Come on girls, let's try it out." Pomorie told them. Pomorie was the first to get into the Hetzer followed by Varna and Rila came into the Hetzer last. This tank destroyer was compact as the girls began getting settled in. "Okay we ready?" Pomorie asked if they were ready to test this tank out.
"Yeah we should be." Rila responded as she was setting up the roof mounted machine gun.
"Okay and fire!" Pomorie shouted as she squeezed the trigger. The light bulb in the tank flashed as the tank fired. Rila grabbed the whistle as the Machine gun began flashing its yellow light bulb. Ami was watching as she was amused about Pomorie and her friends operating the tank.
"Well I think we tried out enough tanks for one day ladies, I want your opinions on them." Ami decided to call them all out as she wanted to hear what their opinions were. Pomorie got out first along with her friends as they looked at Ami.
"We enjoyed them, this was certainly a treat with us that you've brought us here." Pomorie responded as she had fun. Ami laughed as she gave them the paper on where they tried the tanks out and wanted to know how many they wanted. Pomorie turned to her friends as they began discussing among themselves. "How many of each tank do you girls want?" Pomorie asked as she wanted to figure out how many of each would be necessary.
"How many do you think will be necessary additions to the team?" Pomorie asked if she wanted to figure out how many they were going to need. Rila and Varna turned to Pomorie as they began to think.
"Three for the Panzer 38T's, Two StuG 3 G's and one of everything else." Varna decided that was what they needed. Pomorie wrote the numbers down, then handed them to Ami as she began to look at them and she gave it some thought.
"Okay I think we've settled on how many tanks you guys want. That should take about five weeks to make." Ami told them as the students went from excited to anxious. Five weeks to make about nine tanks. Pomorie was worried that Yogurt Academy wouldn't survive for another few weeks before the tanks arrived as she feared that Pravda would use the opportunity to overrun them. Something needed to be done and done quick if Yogurt Academy was to hold on. In the background of the shop was Maho as she was walking along alone. Ami had withdrawn to give the order in for the tanks to be made. Pomorie decided to make this situation clear to look for any solutions.
"Maho I wasn't expecting you to be here. What brings you all the way here?" Pomorie greeted her as she looked at Pomorie herself.
"Oh Pomorie, I came here to pick up parts for the Jagdtigers. Many of them had either been broken down or had their barrels warped and snapped. Erika is pressing the need for heavier tank destroyers to be pressed into action as we need more of those in our ongoing matches against Pravda." Maho responded as she looked at the inbox for parts that she was going to need. She slipped the paper in as it was an order for parts. "What brings you here I might ask?"
"Ami invited me and my friends over so we can purchase new tanks for Yogurt Academy. We now have to wait for five weeks before the tanks are delivered and we can reorganize the school." Pomorie told Maho why she was here.
"In case you don't have the money, I will personally purchase the tanks and give them to you. And how is Srebarna, she tried kicking Erika and she managed to hurt herself good in the process." Maho decided to make an oath to purchase the tanks herself and give them to Pomorie. She wanted to see how yesterday's events ended as she wasn't present for when it happened.
"Srebarna busted her foot pretty badly but I also got some other news that Ami decided to let me know about. I'm now the leader of the Sensha-Do team." Pomorie told Maho about this news. Maho grinned as she knew this war good news, very good news.
"Congrats Pomorie, I knew one day that you would rise to commander of the whole team. Now my apprentice will now be able to work with a much more willing team captain." Maho lended her hand out which Pomorie shakes it as a sign of nice, you did it.
"Speaking of which, where is she? How come it's just you?" Pomorie asked as she noticed that Olivia was completely absent from her friend's side. Maho decided to answer that question for her.
"Olivia agreed to fill in for me today, she was quite enthusiastic about it and the freshmen were eager to learn under her command. However she isn't as experienced as me and Erika so Koume agreed to help her out." Maho told Pomorie that it was just her today. Ami walked over as noticed the two students chatting away.
"Seems that you two have some good friendship behind yourselves. Maho I would wish to speak to you directly. Pomorie, it was nice spending the day with you and your friends, you three have been dismissed." Ami and Maho walked away as Pomorie knew she needed to make it clear to the rest of the school. Rila and Varna arrived by Pomorie's side as they wanted to make something clear.
"So when you think we should hold the meeting?" Varna asked as she wanted to let the team know about this.
"When we get back, now we go back." Pomorie responded, the three girls turned and began walking back to the helicopter so they could go back.
When the three students decided to get back to the school. Pomorie decided to call a meeting with the rest of the Sensha-Do club as she wanted to give the news to the students. The students gathered in the auditorium of the school as Pomorie had a paper as she was ready to give out the news. Rila and Varna stood next to her as Pomorie began reading out the news.
"Students of Yogurt Academy's Sensha-Do club, I have some good news for you all. After talking to Ami Chono about our situation, we have come to one good conclusion. If we help Kuromorimine hold out for a few more weeks with what we have, the reward will be massive. I kid you not that Ami has decided to assist us with our endeavors. Yogurt Academy will be receiving new tanks and unlike Srebarna's policy that has hindered our school in the past, we will be keeping these tanks permanently." Pomorie decided to read out the news. The students cheered in celebration as they were getting new tanks to add on to their inadequate collection of light tanks. Pomorie and the others looked at each other as this would mean much celebration among the students. "However we all need to work hard whether in the club or outside of it until the tanks arrive and we could begin rebuilding our team." Everyone was too busy cheering as they were now on a morale high. Better tanks and more of them was a welcome sign for the team.
Even while Pomorie was making her moves to gather support for the team. Srebarna meanwhile was preparing her own moves if she was going to succeed in her quest to hold more power.
"Katyusha I feel like my position as overall leader of Yogurt Academy is being threatened." Srebarna began. Katyusha wasn't too surprised.
"I am not pleased with the behavior you've displayed yesterday when you tried kicking someone down. It was pretty hilarious that it backfired." Katyusha told Srebarna as she was still laughing to herself about the whole incident. Srebarna knew that wasn't the point.
"Katyusha-sama I wanted to say that I've lost my position of team captain to Pomorie when I heard the news from Ami, I feel betrayed by my own school." Srebarna responded as she didn't want to see like she was losing her influence.
"Betrayal happens to us all the time as it's nothing new to Katyusha. You still have your position of head of the student council?" Katyusha asked Srebarna if that position was still held by her.
"Yes it is Katyusha. I'm still holding that position." Srebarna responded as she had her position held down tight. Katyusha nodded as it was excellent for her.
"With your position of student council, you can still make decisions that can change the school. If the front continues to move closer to home, leave Kuromorimine and join us, we'll give you two medium tanks in thanks for helping us out." Katyusha told Srebarna even though Pomorie was influencing the team, she still had control over the school and who to side with. Srebarna nodded as it meant once she recovered, she will begin making a few changes around here.
"I promise, it will give me time to think." Srebarna told Katyusha as Katyusha nodded and therefore signed out.
Srebarna was now nervous as Pomorie was now contesting her for power.
[A/N]: Another short chapter but this time it's the main characters going tank shopping for tanks to bolster their team. Pomorie has been placed in the position of Sensha-Do team leader and Srebarna is now nervous thinking Pomorie would want more power. Both teams are reorganizing themselves and will Yogurt Academy work hard these next few weeks for these tanks? Next chapter will be another match. Stay notified for that.
