The final chapter before midterms. Chapter forty.
So here… we're gonna pick up in the fight from last chapter. Let's go!

Hawks watched Mirko kick the villain they were fighting into a wall faster than the speed of sound. A sonic boom sounded soon after.
Two villains hopped out of the kidnappers vehicle and charged. Mirko beat them away as well.
"Are you okay Hawks?"
"I'm fine… the paralyzing agent is wearing off…" Hawks slowly got to his feet. "What the hell happened to you?"
"What do you mean?" Mirko smiled. The main villain leapt at them.
"I'VE GOT YOU NOW!"
Hawks dodged out of the way. Mirko stood still as tentacles flew towards her. The rabbit hero was lashed by several of the appendages. The villain grinned.
"Now you're mine…"
Mirko grabbed the tentacles and grinned. "Sorry buddy."
"But how!" The villain screeched. "You shouldn't be able to move!"
Mirko chuckled and pulled the villain towards her. Her face brushed up against his ear. "Come now… Patchwork Bunny uses stuff that's so much stronger…"
The villain shuddered. "But you haven't-"
"I have." Mirko whipped the villain around and hurled him into the air. In an instant, she was above him, her foot raised.
"LUNA FALL!"
The villain barely managed to wrap himself in tentacles in time. The kick hit him in the chest, sending him flying down into the street below. The ground became a crater as the villain was rendered unconscious.
"DAMN! HOLD BACK! YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HIM!" Hawks cried.
Mirko grinned. "He was fine! Now for the other two."
The two remaining villains were sweating profusely. One shouted a battle cry and rushed forward, wind wrapping itself around his form.
"Huh. Wind manipulation…" Mirko leapt backwards as the villain threw a blast of air at her. "Useful quirk isn't it?" Mirko landed on one hand. Arching her back she smoothly curled onto her feet.
"Well? How long can you keep it up?" Mirko smiled. "Your quirk consumes oxygen in your bloodstream. I can see you breathing harder."
The villain cut his quirk off and pulled out a knife. The other villain ran in, small boxes of light glittering around them.
Hawks watched as the villain disappeared. Mirko grinned and stepped to the side. In a flash of light, the villain appeared behind her.
"Some sort of teleportation." The hero said as the villains fist sailed past her. "Seems like it's light based, but it reminds me of when a computer screen glitches."
The hero cartwheeled as the wind manipulator stabbed forward. His attack passed by harmlessly. Mirko grabbed the man's wrist and twisted. He screamed and dropped the knife. Mirko caught it and threw it at an empty space. The teleporting villain appeared in the spot she threw the knife. The weapon embedded itself in their leg.
The villain grunted and fell to their knee. The wind manipulator jumped back and righted his wrist. He was once again surrounded by wind as he rushed in to fight.
Mirko dodged out of the way as the man struck with power that sent shockwaves through the air. Hawks noticed she looked bored.
"Seriously. Just pass out already." Mirko grumbled. The villain shouted and threw another punch.
Mirko caught it with one hand.
"Good night."
Mirko hit the man on his shoulder, knocking him out. The other villain pulled the knife out of their leg and teleported behind the rabbit hero. Mirko kicked her leg back, sending the villain flying into a wall and knocking them out.
"And that's a wrap." Mirko grinned, pulling out some capture cuffs. She quickly cuffed the villains and brought them to Hawks.
"Let's get these guys to the station."
"Aren't you gonna talk to the press?"
"Eh. Screw the press. We swore to keep the peace, not keep the press happy."
Hawks stared at Mirko. "What the hell happened to you? You always want people to notice you!"
"Yeah… I had a wake up call."
Hawks shook his head. "Okay… well I guess we should get these guys taken care of then… you tell me later."
Mirko nodded. "Sure."

Izuka breathed in the German air. "I always did love Berlin… It's a shame that we don't have more business to do here."
"I know right?" Toga smiled. "Hey Tetsutetsu, it's your debut day. How do you feel?"
Tetsutetsu smiled as he pulled his hair back into a ponytail. "Please Toga. Call me Damascus."
"Well then," Izuka grinned. "Shall we get going?"
The three villains leapt into the city in search of a single person. A thief.

"So what do we do about the kids?" Ectoplasm asked.
The teachers had all been assembled for a meeting on what to do after Midterms.
"The attack on Hosu has me on edge. How do we know that the training camp won't be attacked?" Cementoss asked.
"We'll all be going along with the hero courses. We will be the line of defense. We're also bringing a secret weapon." Nezu smiled.
"Yumi Shoudai." Toshinori muttered.
"Precisely. She has also been through an ascension. She will be able to help us quite a bit against Izuka Midoriya."
The teachers nodded. "That makes sense. Perhaps we may be able to defeat her then…"
"But are we sure that we should take Izuka Midoriya first?" Midnight pondered.
Nezu nodded. "It's the most logical choice. She is the strongest member. It may enrage the rest of the league, but if we take anybody else first we'd have to deal with her next. She gets more powerful when she focuses her emotions. By my calculations, any other way would result in Izuka Midoriya becoming an angel of destruction."
Aizawa nodded. "Okay… should we bring the Three along as well?"
Nezu nodded. "That would be ideal. They'd give us another edge against the villains if they attacked."
"I'll let them know." Snipe nodded. "Is there anybody else we should bring along?"
"We got in contact with Endeavor and Best Jeanist, as well as edgeshot. They're in. We'll also be bringing in Mirko and Hawks. They'll help quite a bit."
"So six of the top ten heroes working together…" Ectoplasm muttered.
Nezu nodded. "I've just heard from Kamui woods, as well as Ryuku, Crust, and Wash. They'll support us from the outside if anything goes awry."
"So then… The top ten heroes all together then." Snipe said. "But even then, compared to the power that Izuka Midoriya has displayed, will it be enough?"
Nezu nodded. "We'll have to hope so. At any sign of danger, we'll have Mandalay allow the students to fight as well."
"Okay then. Hopefully that will work." Vlad King said. "We'll work on boosting the students' adaptability before the training camp. Just in case."
"Good Idea." Aizawa nodded. "Want to do some joint classes?"
Vlad nodded. "That would be good."
Recovery girl rapped her cane on the desk. "Excuse me Nezu. But what will Iryu be doing then? Should we not protect her?"
"What do you mean Chiyo?" Snipe asked.
Nezu cleared his throat. "We've recently discovered that All For One is still alive. He is most likely clinging to life desperately. If Iryu was captured, and All For One was the puppet master of the League of Villains, he would be healed, and the results would be catastrophic."
"So in other words…"
"We'll need Iryu to be guarded at all times…"
Nezu nodded. "Indeed. Or we could just have her remain at home."
Aizawa shook his head. "That won't work either… If what I think is true…"
"What is it Aizawa?"
The teacher sighed and rubbed his temples. "We have a mole in UA. Possibly several. My first thought was that it was Yumi Shoudai, but unless they have a very powerful cloning quirk on their side, it's impossible…"
"We still can't rule her out though…" Power Loader said. "I hate to say it about my prized student, but we can't take any chances."
Nezu nodded. "We'll add extra security to the school before tomorrow's classes. I'll study every students movements from my office."
The teachers nodded. "Right!"
"Meeting adjourned."

Hawks watched as Mirko walked out of the police headquarters. He took in everything about the hero.
Her newer costume, it was the same color scheme as her old one, but she had changed the leotard into more of overalls. Her arms were covered in long white gloves. Her hair was worn in a pixie cut. Instead of her normal rabbit's foot like shoes, she wore white combat boots. Her left ear had several notches in it. And then there was the collar.
Hawks sighed. "Mirko, tell me what happened."
Mirko sighed. "Can't a girl meet someone?"
"You're dating?"
Mirko nodded. "Sort of. I've just felt really alive since we met."
"Who is it?"
"All I feel comfortable telling you is that it's a girl."
Hawks narrowed his eyes and smirked. "C'mon Mirko… Give me more!"
The rabbit hero shook her head. "No can do Hawks. Now, I really must get going. It's getting late."
Hawks nodded. "Fine. Have a good night."
"Have a good night Hawks."

A crunch came from the alleyway. Tetsutetsu walked out and shifted from metal, back to normal. Blood was on his face.
"Get enough?" Toga asked.
"For now. They also gave me some info on the guy we're looking for."
Tetsutetsu held up a card with a picture of a tophat and mask. "Let's go find this 'Mr Compress'."
The three villains walked down the sidewalk, searching for a small business run by the person they were looking for.

Izuka, Tetsutetsu, and Toga stood in front of a small shop that sold… Top hats?
"This is probably the strangest thing I've ever seen." Tetsutetsu said.
"Eh." Izuka shrugged. "He's just extravagant."
The girl stepped into the shop. A man wearing a top hat and mask awaited them. {Welcome to Mr. Compress's top hats. What can I make for you today?}
"You're Atsuhiro Sako. the great great grandson of the Peerless Thief correct?"
"Ah… and who might you be?" The man took off his mask and smiled. "It's been a while since I left Japan and started thieving worldwide. Why have you come here?"
"Atsuhiro… My name is Izuka Midoriya. I am one of the members of the League of Villains, and I am here to offer you a position in our ranks."
"Oh? Izuka Midoriya huh? If I remember correctly… you're the quirkless girl who's been shaking the world… I will accept your offer on one condition."
Izuka smirked. "And what is that condition?"
Mr Compress smiled. "If you can prove that you're a better thief than I am."
Izuka smiled. "Well then… how shall we settle this?"
"There is a new museum opening tonight. It's in honor of Germany's top two heroes, who died a few months ago in China. We will be racing to obtain this."
Mr Compress held up a photograph of a black cane. "This is my great great grandfathers cane. Those two heroes are descendants of heroes that helped bring him down. Now, I want that cane back."
Izuka smiled. "I guess it's game on."

One Hour Later
Izuka, Tetsutetsu, and Toga all stood overlooking the museum. Izuka knew where the thief was. She could see his plan as she watched him don a security guards uniform.
"Ah… he's been planning this for a while… I guess we have a good competition then."
Izuka watched as the man talked to another security guard. She smiled as he walked past.
"Toga."
"On it."
The blonde leapt down and killed the security guard silently, before drinking his blood and transforming. She gave a thumbs up to the two villains on the roof.
"All right. And here we go."
Izuka donned a wig and leapt down into the crowd of people. Tetsutetsu joined her and they all walked in. Izuka noticed Mr Compress walking alongside their group. He blended in well.
The group came to the exhibit where the staff was displayed, along with several other pieces.
"These were all trophies that the two heroes collected. Among these are trophies that were passed down through their families, the oldest and most incredible being the cane of the peerless thief."
Izuka nudged Tetsutetsu and pointed to a glass box that contained a large metal shield.
"Steal it."
"Right."
Tetsutetsu broke the glass quickly and sped out of the room with the item. The museum tour guide shouted.
"GUARDS! GET THAT MAN!"
Izuka smiled as the guards rushed after Tetsutetsu. Toga, in her disguise, caught Mr Compress as he didn't follow with the rest of the guards.
"What are you doing? We need to get him!"
The thief went white. He was out of options. He turned and followed Toga as she chased down Tetsutetsu.
"Everybody remain calm-" The tour guide began.
"How about no?" Izuka pulled off her wig and leapt up in front of the tour guide. "This is my show now."
The tour guide went white. "I-Izuka Midoriya?"
"Boo."
Izuka pushed past the man and smashed the glass that contained the cane. She quickly grabbed it and turned to the crowd of people.
"Thank you everybody for being here. It was quite a fun evening, I hope you enjoyed the tour and floor show. The gift shop is located to the left of the main entrance. Have a good night!"
Izuka leapt out of the room, leaving the crowd in a panic.
Meanwhile, Tetsutetsu ditched the shield and escaped the museum. Toga shouted that she would continue chasing him down, and that everybody else should go take care of the civilians.
Atsuhiro shuddered as the security guard ran past, whispering something only to him.
"It was fun playing with you… Mr Compress."
The thief turned white as he saw the security guard run away, before melting into the form of a blonde girl.
"You guys go! I'll follow the criminal as well."
Atsuhiro ran away from the museum, he returned to his shop and found the three teenagers he had challenged sitting back. "Well then. Will you come with us then?"

A squeal of joy from Mirko as a purple portal opened, and Izuka stepped through, along with Tetsutetsu, Toga, and Mr Compress.
"Miss Izuka!"
Mirko leapt into Izuka's arms. The girl caught her and gave her a kiss. "Hello Bunny."
"So I see the mission was a success?" Dabi grumbled.
"Yes. Everybody say hello to Mr Compress. He's the great great grandson of the Peerless Thief."
Magne stood up and shook the new members hand. "Good to have you on board… Mr Compress…"
"You should have told me that Magne was here. The most marvellous young lady I have ever met…"
Magne chuckled. "Oh stop it you!"
Toga looked back and forth between the two members of the league. "You two know each other?"
"I met Magne a couple of years ago in Spain. She helped me pull off a heist by taking out a man who had cornered me. I only got to speak with her for a moment, and I never did say thank you."
Magne blushed. "Oh… well it wasn't really anything important…"
"Is this gonna be a problem with them?" Dabi sighed.
"Eh. Relationships are permitted within the league, so… They're fine." Mirko let out a happy hum as Izuka began carrying her to her room. "Now. It has been a long day. I haven't had a fun night in a while… so Tetsutetsu, Toga. Come on."
Toga purred and grabbed Tetsutetsu by the wrist, before pulling him into Izuka's room. Izuka smiled and winked, carrying the rabbit hero in her arms. She stepped into her bedroom and closed the door.
Dabi sighed.
"Come on. How come I can't get anybody, but Izuka get's like, an entire harem?"
