Fandom: Avengers/Bleach
Characters: M'Baku, Ichigo, Shinji
Chapter: 41
Word count: 1356
Warnings: nothing much
AN: One more chapter after this! *cries* Also I've started to post some stories that are being restarted (already restarted them) to show you that yes, even I can write really horrible stories. I just tend to do a lot of editing or restarting the story all around. It's called 'Behind the Scenes' and has the first chapter of the first story.
For now, enjoy!
M'Baku chuckled as he watched Ichigo talk with a blond man with a large smile who had his hand curled over one lean hip as the charity ball went on around them. Loki walked up to them, wearing his Lady Loki form, as Tony had teased him, and a slinky rich green thing that showed off all the right curves. Ichigo looked to his friend and smiled as the man named Shinji bowed slightly in greeting.
"It seems as if he found lovers," T'Challa drawled, shifting on his feet with a smile. M'Baku chuckled again, nodding. "I'm actually glad that he found some happiness in such a time. Though disappointed that we will not be able to take him to our bed again."
M'Baku smirked at his lover, running his eyes over the lean form. "You just wish to see his hair spread out again," he drawled.
T'Challa raised an eyebrow. "Can you blame me? His hair is like fire and I know for a fact that Bast likes him. Called him spunky," he teased.
A soft chuckle came from behind the two men, turning to see Ichigo's other lover, blond hair pulled up into a waterfall of a ponytail, and lean face openly amused. "Spunky is one way of describing Ichigo," Rose said, shaking his head. "He's calmed down quite a bit from the overprotective kid that stormed into our lives and the Seireitei to save a woman who he hadn't been friends with for more than a few months. He had quite a bit of anger and darkness that he had to face in himself. After he finished high school in Japan and moved with his family to America, he had long ago settled within himself that darkness. To see him actually smiling so easily and interacting with others with confidence means a lot to us."
"You trained him, did you?" M'Baku asked, tilting his head. "He told us that the group of Vizards taught him how best to control hisā¦mask, at least in minorish details."
Rose smiled and swirled the glass of whiskey. "Not so much. At the time he was a brat in my eyes. In the last hundred years, I admit I have become jaded. It was fighting with him, for a better, brighter future for all of us, and the protection of all that we care for that showed me that I had darkened my own world view."
Rose hummed with a soft smile, eyes trailing over Ichigo and the fact that he wore a simple floor length dress that hinted at curves that weren't truly there the color of a spice rose. He could barely see the peek of matching heels under the dress as he moved. M'Baku and T'Challa also looked at him, the King deciding to ask a question that he wanted to know.
"When did he start wearing dresses and the such?" he asked. Rose chuckled.
"He actually did it on a dare for Halloween the year before he left. The woman that he went to save, Rukia, dared him to wear the female version of a devil for a party and he found that, not including the tightness, he liked women's clothes. He started to change his style and by the end of his schooling, he had a full wardrobe." Rose snickered. "He said naked women just turned him off because of Yoruichi and Rangiku-san pouncing on him so often and trying to smother him in breasts. If Rukia hadn't also been a bitch to him in some ways, I think he would have drifted over to women with smaller chests as potential lovers. But I think that he was just always open to anyone who attracted him."
"If not for the fact that he was traumatized by breasts in the most forming of time for hormones," T'Challa teased, getting a smirk.
"Their loss. Our gain," Rose purred. "Though both I and Shinji have agreed to take our time with him. We wish to court him properly. We are already allowed to sleep with him in the same bed. That is enough for us."
M'Baku smiled and nodded. "I'm glad that he has people who quite obviously love him. He is a brilliant man who will change the world in the long run," he said, feeling as if his words were true. As if they came from somewhere other than himself.
Rose just looked at him with a knowing smile dancing on his lips as Ichigo and Shinji walked up to them. "Hey there," he greeted, kissing Ichigo slightly on the lips, allowing him to wipe off the gloss that sat over the liquid lipstick.
"Hi there," Ichigo greeted, smiling as he pressed a kiss to M'Baku's and T'Challa's cheeks. He wiped off the leftover gloss that had transferred to their lips before pulling out a small compact and the gloss out of his wrist bag, reapplying it. "I hope Rose isn't driving you insane. Or trying to interrogate you two. I did admit to sleeping with the two of you."
Rose huffed. "I'm just talking with them. If you found them enjoyable to sleep with, I figured that they seem to be nice enough to get to know," he drawled, arm coming to rest around Ichigo's waist while Shinji smirked.
"Right," Shinji chuckled, shaking his head, and taking Rose's glass, sipping at it. "Why is it the champagne sucks?"
"Because a lot of people who set up these things for rich people think 'expensive' means 'good'," Ichigo stated. "I had to show that even middle-class champagne and wine are good things. Easy on the budget for a ball like this, but tasty for all. It helps also when you're giving out free champagne or wine, but have a paid bar to raise more money," he continued. "You can tell that the Accords Panel didn't have much to do with the planning. I know that the Japanese representative has a nose for good wine."
"I would hope he does," M'Baku said, smirking. "From what I understand, his grandparents and uncles started a wine business that he worked at for a few years," he continued. "I will have to have a word with him about watching what kind of champagne and wines they serve during these things."
"Sounds like a good idea," Ichigo hummed, looking around. "At least the bartender knows how to make a good virgin mixed drink. Being underage here is rather annoying since I have to attend these things often enough that I've learned how best to dodge the grabby hands without insulting."
"At least now you have us for your dates," Shinji drawled, eyes following Loki and Bruce as they walked around, talking with various scientists. "It looks like the fundraiser is going well though. The relief funds for the attacks are going to be well padded."
"Indeed," T'Challa said. "But we will all need to keep a close eye on the money and make sure that it will be kept full."
"I hear that the twitch streams that you have started for African relief has made waves," Ichigo teased, raising an eyebrow at the smug smirk.
"It has. It has also encouraged my people to explore different kinds of careers. I believe that there are five teens who wish to create an African based makeup line. They are already looking at what works and what doesn't work for businesses in regard to things likeā¦foundation and something called concealer and setting powder."
Ichigo chuckled and proceeded to explain just how an effectively managed makeup company with a wide range of products that catered to as many skin tones as they can make good money. Shinji and Rose stood back, listening to the three men talk business and how individual laws in various places made companies work in certain ways and how a company had to balance it all.
Tony swung by, heard the terms "lipstick" and "liquid lipstick" and turned right around, heading for his lover. He didn't want to even know what they were talking about. Makeup wasn't his thing and he admitted it. Loki just looked rather amused at him.
