So I really struggled to find the motivation to write this final chapter, but here it is.

I don't own the rights to the characters or the lyrics in this chapter.

Hope you like it.

Wedding Day

Callie woke first and smiled as she opened her eyes and saw Arizona still fast asleep, blonde curls all over her face and a protective arm over her growing bump.

Wow they were actually getting married.

In four hours time she would be able to call Arizona her wife again. As Callie watched the blonde sleep she reflected on how far they had come since Arizona had moved states. The brunette thought back to the day Arizona had called to tell her that Sofia should move to New York, and that she was coming too. Callie remembered the instant joy she had felt at the thought of being near her ex wife again, seeing her warm smile and blue eyes again.

And now, over a year later, they were getting married again and, all being well, in three more months time, they would be welcoming a new baby son into their family.

Callie felt a lump start to form in her throat as a wave of happiness washed over her and before she knew it a single tear was running down her cheek. They had both caused each other a lot of pain, and whilst it was difficult to see at times, being apart had been the best thing for them in the long term.

As she watched Arizona sleep, her chest felt tight with emotion. For months on end Callie had carried around an unanswered question in her head. What if?

When they were breaking up, when they were in the courts battling for custody of Sofia, even after when Callie should have been happy with Penny...still the same thought... what if Arizona had never stepped foot on that plane!

There had been so many moments when the unwanted thought had popped into her head.

She was transported to the moment they had all found out about the plane crash and those awful hours of not knowing if Arizona was alive. The months after we're so traumatic and she had often wondered how their life would have gone if Arizona hadn't been on that plane. If the blonde, who was normally pretty measured had not lost her shit at Alex that day and pulled him off the conjoined twin surgery team. If Arizona hadn't lost her leg, hadn't gone through that whole awful experience, would she have cheated? If she hadn't cheated would their marriage have survived?

So many ifs? But it didn't matter now. That was all in the past. They had made peace with that and were starting their new life today. Callie's phone buzzed on the nightstand, the noise snapping the brunette out of her thoughts and causing Arizona to open her eyes.

Arizona's smiled as she saw Callie lying on her side looking at her, but her smile quickly faded as she saw the tear on her cheek and the brunette's watery eyes.

Fearing something bad Arizona reached over and placed a hand on the Latina's cheek "baby...why are you crying? What's...what's wrong?" The blonde asked with concern as she sat up in bed.

Callie smiled and quickly wiped the stray tear away "nothing. Nothing's wrong...honestly". she replied.

"Then why were you crying?" Arizona asked the concern still in her voice.

Callie took a deep breath "because I can't wait to be your wife again...and I never in a million years thought that I would ever get to say that."

————————-

The ceremony at the Town hall had lasted exactly 20 minutes. Arizona had chosen a cream tux suite that she wore with heels and a red blouse. Callie was wearing a cream wrap dress that hugged her curves perfectly and showed off her long bronzed legs.

April and Mer were the witnesses and after confirming their names and repeating the usual words, the marriage license was signed and they were officially wife and wife again.

Arizona beamed with joy as she heard the magical words..."You may now kiss your bride" as she closed her eyes and felt Callie's lips softly touch hers.

————

Alex stood up and tapped the top of the microphone to get everyone's attention. Arizona and Callie exchanged a glance as they saw Alex standing to make a speech.

"OK... so basically we drew straws and I lost so here we go..." he said clearing his throat.

"Arizona, I think it's fair to say that we didn't get off on the best of terms when you first joined our crazy world at what was back then Mercy West. You were way too perky, even after zero hours sleep, and you must have rolled over my toes in those damn Heelys at least 20 times."

"Damn Heeleys!" Bailey yelled in agreement causing the room to laugh.

"Under your careful eye, you somehow turned a lost and some might say...grumpy..."

"Errr everyone would say!" Mer interrupted smiling at her friend.

Alex glared at his friend before smiling and continuing "into the peds surgeon that I am today and I can only hope when I'm your age..."

"Hey!" Arizona interrupted in pretend outrage at the age reference.

"...that I am half the doctor you are. You not only taught me how to be bad ass at my job, but you also showed me the benefits of believing in good." Alex paused and looked over at Jo before continuing "Your positivity for life rubbed off on all of us over the years...even Bailey...but maybe not Yang." He added with a chuckle.

"I heard that Alex...you douchebag" Christina's voice yelled from the iPad where she had been following the ceremony from Switzerland.

"Good! you were supposed to!" Alex laughed back.

Alex took a sip of his drink before turning to address the ortho surgeon.

"Callie...we all love you. It's as simple as that! Over the years you have been a really good friend to so many of us standing in this room today...you are without doubt...one of a kind. Your love and passion for your work and life is so infectious...you have even managed to make Owen smile once or twice!"

The room laughed at the joke "but seriously guys...I know I speak for everyone here today when I say that we are so happy that you finally got back together... and that we were all able to be here today to witness it. To Arizona and Callie!" Alex said raising his champagne glass in a toast.

"Arizona and Callie" their friends all cheered back before someone yelled "speech...speech!"

Arizona looked at Callie and smiled as she saw the nerves in her wife's eyes and so stood up first.

Arizona took a deep breath before taking the microphone from Alex "jeez...it's times like these I miss alcohol." Raising a chuckle from the room.

"Firstly...thank you Alex for your surprisingly lovely words...Jo...what have you done to Alex?" Arizona joked as she held her former mentee's gaze so that he saw she was joking and how much his words had really meant.

"Seriously..." Arizona said as she turned to face the room of happy faces "...thank you all so much for coming today. I love you all very much and feel super lucky to have you all here today. Can we all please raise a toast to our loved ones who aren't with us... with miss you all so much and think of you all the time."

"To absent friends" Arizona said raising her glass in a toast to Mark, Lexie and Derek.

Arizona felt a lump form in her throat as she pictured their last wedding and how supportive Mark had been when she had been missing Tim. Callie reached over and grabbed her hand in support and it was enough to help Arizona focused her thoughts back to the present.

"Ummm Can we also please get a massive round of applause for Sam, Elizabeth and Jo for the AMAZING transformation of this place." Arizona shook her head as she took in the beautiful flowers and fairy lights that were all over Joe's bar as the rest of the room clapped and cheered the three women "Guys...I honestly cannot believe this is the same place...you've actually made it beautiful!"

The room clapped and whooped in recognition of the effort that had gone into turning the bar into a romantic setting.

"It is, I admit..." Arizona said as she looked over towards Callie's parents briefly "...a strange choice for a wedding reception...but just over 12 years ago...through that door...".

Arizona said turning to look at the women's restroom "my life changed for good...through that door is where our journey began".

"So everyone here knows me pretty well...and therefore you all know that I like order. I am after all, the daughter of a marine colonel!" Arizona said smiling as she looked over towards her dad.

"I like to plan...and then plan some more...basically prepare as much as I can...but I think it's pretty clear from our story...that you can't plan love."

Arizona turned to face Callie and smiled "You get me Calliope. I don't even have to speak. I smile and you know what I am thinking. No one knows me, sees me like you do. You get my quirks and my crazy obsessions."

Arizona felt the lump in her throat start to form again as she looked at her beautiful wife.

"Because of you I have things in my life that I told myself I never wanted. We have our beautiful daughter Sofia and in ohhhh about 15 weeks time, all being well, our family of three will become four." Arizona said patting her belly generating a small cheer from their friends.

"This journey has been one crazy rollercoaster of a ride and who know's where it will end, the truth is I don't really care...as long as it ends with you Calliope. I love you" Arizona said as she placed her lips on the brunette's and generated a whoop of cheers from their friends and family.

Arizona melted into the kiss as she felt Callie wrap a hand around her head and pull her in close.

"Get a room" Alex yelled bringing them out of their bubble and generating another round of laughter.

Callie stood up and held her hands up apologetically "Sorry Mum...Dad...Mr & Mrs Robbins" Callie said "but who can blame me right...I mean I am the luckiest person alive to be able to call Arizona Robbins..." Callie paused for dramatic effect before adding "...TORRES" she laughed as a cheer erupted from the room at the new name "...my wife...AGAIN!"

"In the way that you all know how much Arizona likes to plan...you will know how much I dislike public speaking, hell most of you here today have had the misfortune of having to sit through enough of my car crash presentations to know that I'm no good at this...so...To quote the legend that is...John..."

Callie turned to the side of the room where Sam was standing and gave the thumbs up as she pressed a button on a laptop and All of Me started playing through the speakers in the bar.

Callie might not be the best speaker, but she could sing and so she had decided to let the music say what she had wanted.

What would I do without your smart mouth?

Drawin' me in, and you kickin' me out

You've got my head spinnin', no kiddin'

I can't pin you down

What's going on in that beautiful mind?

I'm on your magical mystery ride

And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me

But I'll be alright

My head's under water

But I'm breathing fine

You're crazy and I'm out of my mind

'Cause all of me loves all of you

Love your curves and all your edges

All your perfect imperfections

Give your all to me, I'll give my all to you

You're my end and my beginnin'

Even when I lose, I'm winnin'

'Cause I give you all of me

And you give me all of you

As the song ended the room erupted into a round of cheers and Arizona pulled the brunette in for an embrace "I love you" the blonde whispered.

Callie smiled as she took a deep breath.

"Arizona our paths to this point in time has not been easy...in fact it's been really frigging hard!" Callie said generating a chuckle from the room "but everything we have been through has truly made us stronger."

"You once told me that you didn't think you would make a good mum, well everyone here today knows what I do...that you are an exceptional mum. and Sofia and I are so very lucky to have you in our lives and we cannot wait to meet our new little boy."

"You make me a better person and I value your love and support so much. Today represents the start of the rest of our lives together. I promise you now to love you, trust you, respect and honour you with all my heart and I can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead for us."

————

They had discussed their first song for hours before settling on something fun. As the two doctors took to the floor they got into position as if to start a slow dance only for the undeniable voice of Barry White to come blaring out of the speakers.

'We got it together didn't we

Nobody but you and me

We got it together baby

My first, my last, my everything
And the answer to all my dreams
You're my sun, my moon, my guiding star
My kind of wonderful, that's what you are
I know there's only, only one like you
There's no way they could have made two
You're, you're all I'm living for, your love I'll keep forevermore

You're the first, you're the last, my everything
Arizona and Callie sang to each other as they danced together, Callie holding her arm out for Arizona to spin under, laughing as they sang their hearts out.

You and me baby
It's you, and me
And you are the first, the last, my everything.

"I love you Calliope Iphegenia Torres" Arizona said as she pulled her new wife in for a kiss.

"I love you too" Callie whispered back.

————-

There was karaoke and everyone, even Colonel Daniel Robbins, got up and sang a song. It was such a joyful event as at one point Arizona snuck outside to get a bit of air. She could have only been outside for a few minutes when she heard the door open and looked up and saw Carlos Torres heading over towards her.

"Arizona" he asked with concern "is everything OK?"

The blonde smiled "I'm fine Mr Torres...I'm just catching my breath a little" she explained.

"Please Arizona...call me Carlos...we're family" he said smiling softly at his new daughter-in-law.

"Thanks" Arizona replied still a little unsure. She always felt like a naughty school girl around Callie's dad.

"You know we're both delighted to have you back in the family" Carlos said causing the blonde to look over in his direction.

"Really?" Arizona replied surprised at his comment "I mean after I ...you know...cheat..."

Carlos didn't let the blonde finish "You remember that speech you gave one time...about being a good man in a storm..."

Arizona nodded

"Well you have both been through one hell of a storm...but you survived. Sure there are some war wounds that you picked up along the way...but that in a way makes it even more special. You lost each other, but you worked hard and here you are today. We all make mistakes Arizona, don't let those mistakes define you."

Carlos reached over and took Arizona's hand in his "you are a good woman in a storm Arizona Robbins".

——————

Arizona was standing at the sink fixing her eye make up caused by the tears that had flowed after her chat with Carlos. It had meant a lot to hear that he respected her and had forgiven her for the pain she had caused his daughter the night of the storm.

She was almost done when she heard the door open and smiled as she watched Callie walk into the restroom.

Callie smiled a megawatt smile and took a step towards the blonde.

"Hey! Peds right?" She asked

Arizona's dimples popped at the words as Callie flipped the conversation from the night they had first me.

"Umm yeah...Hi!" Arizona had replied as she held the brunette's gaze in the mirror.

"I'm Callie Torres Ortho surgery..." the brunette said smiling at her wife "I've ummmm seen you at the hospital. Are you OK?"

Arizona turned and smiled as she played along

"Yeah no I'm fine" Arizona replied

"People talk!" Callie said as she took a step towards the blonde who was now leaning against the wash basin " where we work...they talk...a lot..." Callie added in a low sexy voice as she inched even nearer to where the peds surgeon was standing "...and so for the sake of being honest..." Callie was now just millimetres away from the blonde as she leaned in and whispered into Arizona ear "I should tell you know that I know things abo..."

Arizona didn't let Callie finished her sentence as she pulled the Latina into an embrace. After a few moments they pulled apart to catch their breaths, foreheads resting against each other.

"I love you" Callie whispered as she dived into those deep blue eyes

"I love you too Calliope" Arizona whispered back.

———-

Three months later at 3.27am on Saturday 9th August Mateo Timothy Robbins Torres, otherwise know as Matty, was born. The labour was long. Arizona had called Callie every name under the sun and nearly broke the ortho's fingers squeezing them so hard until the drugs kicked in, but all was forgotten when their new baby boy was in their arms.

Their journey had the happy ending they deserved.

The End.

--

Thank you for reading this story. I went with a fun first dance as could just picture them dancing away together.

I hope you'll forgive me for wrapping things up in a fairly quick way, I just wanted to finish it off. And yes...I think baby Mateo definitely has Arizona's dimples!

I wonder if Arizona and Callie will make an appearance in the current Season as they are bringing a lot of people back?

It would be great if you could take the time to leave me a review.

Shooting Straight will be back...once I find the motivation to write.

Take care. Sarah
