Chapter 41-Anger and Rage

A walker goes to the ground and is quickly stepped on by another. Shane swings his machete, again and again, taking out walkers with each swing. The walkers go to the ground as blood goes onto Shane's face and clothes. Shane lets out a grunt with each swing. He grabs the last walker and slams its head against the wall. "Shane!" Glenn yells from behind him. Shane turns around and looks at Shane as he breathes heavily. He looks at the Korean who stares at him. Maggie and Merle were with him. "They are dead," Glenn says.

"Let us help you. They are still a few more rooms," Merle says. The group was currently in Jackson at the police station, which they were clearing for the night.

"Go help the others. I got this," Shane tells them before he steps over the bodies and goes further into the station. They watch as his flashlight disappears. Glenn looks at Merle.

"Come on," Merle tells him before he heads for the door. Shane walks through the station killing every walker he comes across. He drives his machete through the top of a walker's skull and moves it out, and continues. Merle, Glenn, and Maggie walk outside.

"Where's Shane?" Carol asks.

"Killing walkers," Maggie tells her.

"Why aren't you helping him?" Troy asks them.

"He wouldn't let us. He took out eight walkers by himself and went forward. He was covered in blood," Glenn tells them.

"He's mad. He thinks he failed us when he didn't clear the school, and now Otis, Duane, and Jimmy are dead, and Shane thinks it's his fault. He is taking that anger out of walkers," Derek says.

"This is his way of dealing with it," Hotch says. "We have to let him deal with it,"

"Until then, let's move the bodies out," Merle says. The others nod as they go inside. Morgan walks past the bodies. "Morgan,"

"Let him," Derek says. "He has some shit to work out too," Merle nods as he picks the first walker out. "It's better the walkers than us," Morgan walks through the halls with a fire ax until he comes up behind Shane, killing a small group of walkers. Morgan lets out a yell as he goes forward and kills one of the walkers. Shane looks at him for a moment before he starts to kill the walkers again. Morgan and Shane work together as they cut the walkers down. Morgan slams the ax into the side of the last walker's face. He breathes heavily as he looks at Shane.

"I need this. Now you can try and stop me, and that won't end well for either of us, or we can clear this place together," Morgan says to Shane.

"Let's do it," Shane says as they step over the bodies. Morgan nods as he follows him further into the station. Outside, Madison was looking at Eugene's head.

"It is healing well," Madison says to him.

"Thank you," Eugene says.

"Madison!" Carol says. Madison gets off the truck and sees two people coming towards them. She pulls out her handgun as they get close.

"Hands up," Madison says.

"Ma'am, we don't want no trouble. We just need some water," The man says.

"Drop your weapons," Troy says. A woman throws her knife to the ground, and the man throws his hammer.

"I'm Tyreese, and this my sister Sasha. We have some friends in a car. They can see us. They have a kid. One of them is hurt. We fought the dead. We just need some help," Tyreese says.

"Get them," Madison tells Tyreese, who nods as he walks backward. Madison nods towards the knife, and Sasha picks it up. "Eugene, my bag," Eugene throws her the bag from the truck as Merle and Nick come over.

"Who is this?" Merle asks.

"I'll deal with it. All three of you get rid of those bodies," Madison says.

"I'll stay. You guys go," Nick says. Troy and Merle nod as they head back for the station. Nick gets in the truck and grabs a blanket. He lays it on the ground as Tyreese comes over with two men and a woman. Tyreese and the other man set the woman down on the blanket.

"This is Allen and Ben. Donna is Allen's wife and Ben is their son," Sasha says.

"How long ago was the fight?" Madison asks.

"Not long. There is a cut on her side. She got took down and cut herself," Allen says. Madison nods as she bends down by Donna.

"Hey, Donna. I'm Madison. I'm gonna help you," Madison says. Donna nods as Madison lifts her shirt and starts to clean the blood. Shane and Morgan were sat down in a room with a table. Morgan took a drink of some water left and handed it to Shane, who takes a sip.

"We still have the basement," Morgan says.

"We'll get it. I'm pretty sure they are clearing the bodies," Shane tells him. Morgan looks at Shane and starts to laugh. "What?"

"You look like Carrie," Morgan says in between laugh. Shane smiles as he looks at the man.

"So do you," Shane tells him. "Morgan, I'm sorry,"

"Don't what happened was not your fault. I failed as a father," Morgan says.

"I failed as a leader," Shane says.

"We will lose more people, Shane, that we cannot control. We can make sure nobody dies here," Morgan says. Shane nods as he grabs his machete and follows Morgan out of the room. Outside, Madison cleans the rest of the blood off and stops as she is about to clean the cut.

"What are you doing?" Allen says.

"Turn on your side," Madison tells Donna, who does that. Madison looks at the bite towards the back of Donna's hip. "There's no point,"

"What are you talking about?" Allen asks as he bends down by Madison and sees the bite. Allen lets out a breath as Madison stands up, and Ben sits down with his father and mother.

"Let's give them some space," Madison tells Nick, Tyreese, and Sasha, who nod as they walk over to the others as Merle and Troy come out with a body.

"Do you guys need some help?" Tyreese asks them. Merle and Troy nod. Tyreese follows them inside. Shane and Morgan walk through the halls to the stairs that lead to the basement.

"How is your eye?" Morgan asks. Shane currently had a bandage on the eye that Mason had cut.

"Good, it's weird not being able to see out of it," Shane tells him as they go down the stairs. Shane shines his flashlight and sees a walker on the ground with its legs broken. Shane walks up to it and stomps on its head. Shane and Morgan go through the basement with their flashlights raised. They turn a corner and see half a dozen walkers that start to move towards them. Shane cuts off the first one's head and slams his machete down on another as Morgan kills walkers beside him. Shane kills the last one. "I think that's it," Shane says.

"Let's be sure," Morgan says. Shane nods as they keep going. Merle walks outside and over to Michonne, who was pouring gas on the bodies.

"Is this all of them?" Michonne asks.

"On the top floor, yeah. If there are any left, they'll be in the basement, and we'll leave them," Merle tells her. Michonne nods as she steps back. Merle steps back with her. Michonne lights a match and throws it on the bodies. They go up in flames as Michonne and Merle watch them.

"I never thanked you. You saved my Andre's life and almost lost yours," Michonne says.

"No need. I would have gladly died knowing you two were safe," Merle tells her as he puts his hand in his pockets. Michonne nods and kisses Merle's cheek. Merle looks at her.

"That was for saving me," Michonne says. She grabs Merle's face and kisses him. "That is for saving my son," Michonne says with a smirk before she walks away. Merle watches her, shocked as Glenn comes over.

"Pick your jaw up," Glenn says to Merle, who looks at him and frowns.

"Shut up," Merle says before he walks away, and Glenn laughs as he follows him. The door opens. Shane and Morgan walk out of the station covered in blood.

"Jesus," Maggie says. Madison walks up to Shane and Morgan.

"Are you two okay?" Madison asks them. "Besides for looking like Carrie,"

"We're fine," Shane says.

"Good, there is a river about two miles down the road. Grab a towel and some clothes and go clean up. Take the truck," Madison tells them. They nod as they grab what they need and leave. Madison walks over to Allen and Ben, who were by Donna. "How is she?"

"She's gone," Allen tells her.

"I can, you know," Madison says.

"No, she's my wife. I will make sure she doesn't turn and bury her," Allen says.

"I'll get you a shovel," Madison tells him. Allen nods as Madison walks into the Rv and grabs two shovels, and takes them over to Allen and Ben. They grab the shovels and walk away. Tyreese comes over and a cover over Donna.

"Are we allowed to join you? We haven't seen many nice people," Tyreese says. Madison looks at him.

"It's not my choice. It's Shane, and I bet he will let you," Madison tells him before he turns around and starts to walk away.

"The man that came out with blood covering him?" Tyreese asks.

"Yep," Madison tells him before she walks away. Tyreese follows her.

"Excuse me," Tyreese says. Madison turns and looks at him. "I mean no disrespect, but he seems a little unhinged,"

"We lost some people recently. He thinks it is his fault, and he's angry. That's all," Madison tells Tyreese, who nods as Madison walks away.

Shane drives the Rv back towards the station and looks at Morgan, who was looking at the window. Shane stops the car on the side of the road, and Morgan looks at him. "Why did we stop?" Morgan asks.

"I have a question? Do you want to stay with us? Stay with the group? If you don't, I will find you a car, and you can go," Shane tells the man. Morgan nods.

"I've lost my boy already. I won't lose the rest of my family," Morgan says. "I'm not leaving," Shane nods as he turns back on the road and heads for the station. That night after Shane and Morgan had met Tyreese, Sasha, Allen, and Ben, they all sat around a small fire they had made with the desks.

"Where are we heading?" Allen asks.

"A house at Howard Lake. We are meeting up with the other half of our group," Sam says.

"There are more of you?" Ben asks.

"Yes," Andrea tells her as she takes a bite of her sandwich. "We are a big group, and some of us went to make sure nobody was in the house when we got there," Tyreese nods. After eating, the group was getting ready for bed. Shane stood outside. He turned his head when he felt arms wrap around his torso.

"Are you doing okay?" Madison asks.

"Define okay," Shane says. Shane could feel Madison laugh against his back.

"Alive and sane," Madison says.

"Then yeah, I'm okay. I'm sorry about today. I saw those walkers, and I lost it. I didn't want to lose anybody else," Shane tells her.

"I know. But once we are at that house. Hopefully, we won't," Madison says. Shane nods as he turns around and kisses her.

"Come on. Let's get some sleep," Madison nods as they head inside and go to bed.

Thanks for reading. This was cool to explore Shane and Morgan's other side, and I think I'm going to do more things with them together because I really liked it. The next chapter will either be Daryl or Bobby's group. Also I have a question. How would you guys feel about seeing Rosita and Tara as a pairing because I kinda want to do it. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
