Chapter Forty: 2nd Boiling Point

Iida Residence

Morning dawned...

Iida slowly woke up...

"One more day... just one more day."

It was 6:15 AM, but he had to do the following:

- Avoid Izuku Midoriya

- Avoid any UA staff

- Avoid/Minimize interaction with Ochako Uraraka?

If he ever ran into Midoriya once again, he would have no choice but to fight, but as that last fight demonstrated: he's skilled, enough to where he could have hospitalized him, or worse.

'Focus, Iida. You're going to get through the day and hand in your choice: Manual, Hosu City.'

Yaoyorozu Residence

As she got up, Momo hoped that Aizawa would intervene today, if not... she had no other ideas. However, there was another thing she needed to do: confront Midoriya about the real identity of Kensei Kasumi and verify... if, and that's a big if, Shichisei and Kensei being the same person.

'I'll try once again, but it will need to be at lunch break instead of after school.'

Momo just gathered her items for the day, plus a spare notebook for any data she needs on Shichisei.

However, she looked at the offers, and the truth is, she wasn't feeling too confident in herself... but her hand formed a fist when thinking back to her fight with Carmilla.

"Am... I really that bitter over that loss?" she said to herself. "No... No... she's right, it's only one loss." Momo breathed deeply to calm herself, realizing that she was gonna have to deal with mindsets that she didn't exactly agree with, Carmilla being the first of many. The fact that she went to lethal force very casually put her off.

'But... to know that a Pro Hero willingly killed with little hesitation... will I have to make a call like that one day?'

One of the offers was a surprise too.

Hero Name - Ninja Hero: Edgeshot

Internship Offer: Momo Yaoyorozu

Location: Kurismo City

"How... what did I do to gain that sort-you know what. I'll accept it," Momo said to herself. She then looked at another offer, coming from a snake-like heroine, Uwabami. She didn't know but something felt off...as if she accepted that, it would have been a waste of an internship.

'I wonder what's Jirou's doing now...'

Midoriya Residence

Midoriya woke up but had to do one thing before going to school.

Midoriya: I'm sorry for how I acted and for making you cry, Uraraka.

However, he got a text from his master.

Kensei: You had something on your mind?

Midoriya: It's Iida, he's gonna do something drastic.

Kensei: Wait, is he related to Ingenium?

Midoriya: Younger brother.

Kensei: Shit. Shit. Did you talk to him?

Midoriya: He's dead set on pursuing the Hero Killer.

Kensei: Lemme guess, too consumed by revenge to listen?

Midoriya: ... yes.

Kensei: I can't believe I have to say this... you're gonna have to intervene.

Midoriya sighed, realizing he has to. Iida's not thinking straight, but he'll attempt to talk things over, and if that doesn't work, what will?

Todoroki Abode

Shoto was doing some shadow-boxing as early as 5:00 AM, mainly doing Lethwei and Karate, sometimes both. However, this was something Sensei Ryuki was teaching him: switching up between styles in order to control the flow of the fight.

However, he was a bit more aggressive... one of the offers for Hero Internships came from, you guessed it, daddy dearest.

Hero Name - Flame Hero: Endeavor

Internship Offer: Shoto Todoroki

Location: Nagasadou City

"...I need to calm myself..." Todoroki said. "I can't forgive that bastard, but I'll take that option. At least Ryuki's helping me with controlling my inner anger."

As soon as he finished, he went back to shadow-boxing before showering.

UA High

It was a few minutes before the bell rung, Iida was avoiding Midoriya as much as he could, but Uraraka was a different issue altogether: she didn't do anything malicious to him AND on top of that, he wasn't the one to beat him to a pulp.

"Iida," said a stern voice.

He quickly turned around, seeing his homeroom teacher. "Yes, Mr. Aizawa?"

"See me during lunch break, it's something important."

Iida was taken aback but made a realization.

'No... she didn't... she wouldn't, right? Unless...'

The result: A confused but slowly angered Iida. The ones who noticed this were Midoriya and Yaoyorozu, the latter sighing because she hoped it would get to him, right? However, Midoriya noticed his classmate/friend's look, he wasn't going to be convinced otherwise.

'So... this plan might get derailed.'

Lunch Period

As soon as the bell rang, Iida went to his locker and dropped everything off. He was a bit incensed but had to obey Aizawa's orders. The blue-haired boy walked to where the Staff Room was.

He gulped, knowing this wasn't going to be pretty.

"Iida, sit over there," Aizawa spoke up, pointing to a seat at the side. The boy followed without a word, sitting for a few minutes. "Now, Iida. I want to know...did you plan on pursuing the Hero Killer?"

Iida felt an entire weight fall onto his shoulders, eyes flinching as his teacher finished that statement, and coming up with a half-hearted response.

"N-No, I'm not."

"Really, that's not what the Class Representative told me yesterday," Aizawa responded. "I understand that you're angry about what happened to your brother."

'Then what I am supposed to do then?! My brother's crippled for life! His assailant still at large!' angrily thought Iida, but he made an effort to not let it show.

"You can't let your emotions cloud your judgment, Iida. There's another fact you need to be aware of..."

"What's that?" responded Iida.

"The Hero Killer has ended the lives of 20 Pro Heroes, but that's an understatement: it's how he did it that's putting everyone on edge."

"Wait, what-"

"If you thought your brother being mutilated was bad, oh it is. However, he's still lucky to be alive. The lives of those whom he ended? He slashed them into ribbons, and we're lucky to find a limb or two."

"R...Repeat that, Aizawa?" questioned Iida, now shocked at what he heard.

"He slashed them into multiple pieces, we're lucky to find a limb or two... "

"W...W...Where's the rest?" Iida asked, now getting a bit unnerved.

Aizawa heavily exhaled, then said: "They're found not too far, but it's a hideous sight."

Iida had to cough for a bit, but something in him spoke up.

'My brother...was lucky to survive this... NO. no. I'm not letting the Hero Killer walk away from this...'

"Iida, I'd recommend choosing another hero to intern with. Manual is fairly low-end and functions more as a rescue hero, I honestly believe it would be a waste of an internship-"

"I won't."

"Won't what...?" questioned Aizawa, narrowing his eyes.

"After what you told me, what the Hero Killer really did, I... won't pursue the Hero Killer..." Iida answered, but the last part seemed too hard to put into words, almost as if he's forcing himself to say it.

"Let me ask you this. Hypothetically, if you corner the Hero Killer, what's your next course of action?"

Iida was stumbling for a response, trying to put it into words.

"I thought so, let me ask a follow-up: would this bring your brother any form of closure?"

Iida's hand involuntarily closed into a fist upon hearing the mention of Tensei, but he needed to keep himself calm because Aizawa is already suspicious of him already.

"Choose wisely, Iida."

Lunch Break

Ochako, Midoriya, and a couple of others were perplexed about where Iida is. The former surmised that Iida was taken to Aizawa's office, mainly to convince him to drop his internship to Hosu City. Midoriya and Yaoyorozu weren't too sure if this would convince him.

"However, there's something I want to ask you, Midoriya..."

Midoriya turned towards Yaoyorozu as she said that, but responded: "Lemme guess... it's about my master, right?" sounding unamused.

"...uh, yes."

The green-haired boy pinched the bridge of his nose, clearly not wanting to engage. "It's also about yesterday too, is it?"

Yaoyorozu nodded, followed by Ochako's eyebrow rising, wonder where this conversation is heading.

"Did your master teach you to fight like that?" Yaoyorozu asked, but her tone was that of a worried classmate.

Midoriya sighed, not wanting to justify that, but then picked up on the implication. "Y...You...think my master's a savage, is he?" the boy responded, sounding a bit ticked.

"No... it's not that at all. It's something I came across a couple of days ago."

Midoriya's ears perk up, listening, motioning for the class vice representative to go on.

"An infamous vigilante from a few years ago... Shichisei."

'Oh, you...you...fucking...'

"The Chishi-Rengou Incident in which an infamous Triad syndicate that was wiped out by a single individual. If that's not enough, he eliminated a Villain outfit called the Terrors. All of them sharing the same fate: exploding from the inside out."

"Wait...what are you saying, Yaoyorozu?" Ochako asked. "Are you-"

"The skills that you demonstrated at the Sports Festival and yesterday's incident with Iida...is starting to point to one thing."

"Don't you... Don't you even-" Midoriya sputtered, not liking what she's implying.

"Shichisei and your master, Kensei-hey, wait, where are you-"

Midoriya got up and walked away from the table, incensed. "I'm not listening to this," the boy spat, surprising Yaoyorozu and even Ochako. The former tried stopping him, but he wasn't having any of it.

"If you think my master and this vigilante are the same people, why don't you ask him yourself?!" Midoriya near-yelled, but it didn't change this fact: Yaoyorozu was getting much closer to the truth. "I...I mean, do you even hear yourself?!"

Yaoyorozu tensed for a bit but responded: "If there's something you're not telling us... look, I will not judge you for-"

"Yea...and your first meeting with my master went swimmingly the last time," Izuku said with some bite. The onyx-haired girl was caught off-guard by this for a bit.

"Listen, are-"

"How about instead of labeling my master a mindless murderer, ask him yourself?" Midoriya said, cutting off Yaoyorozu. "I mean, what's stopping you at this point?!"

"H-Hey, take it e-easy," Ochako said, getting worried. Jirou wondered if she needed to step in as a buffer.

Midoriya inhaled for a minute, then exhaled, becoming a little calmer. "Yaoyorozu. Look. I get what you are trying to do. You're thinking my master's a 'bad influence'," the boy said with fingers emphasizing it. "For your information, Kensei actually saved me from a few thugs and gave me the confidence I needed to deal with the hell that was Aldera."

"The junior middle school?"

Izuku might have said too much, but walked away for two purposes: clearing his head and also prevent more of his life from leaking out, which would open up a whole new can of worms. As he walked away, Ochako and Jirou looked at Yaoyorozu, wondering what exactly just happened.

"...Yaoyorozu..." said Jirou, but there was a hardened tone. "Would you mind explaining why you think this vigilante and Midoriya's teacher are the same person?"

"Are you-"

"Explain. Now."

"Well... I mean... here's more info about Shichisei..." said the class representative, handing her phone to Jirou, pointing to a few articles on the vigilante himself.

Demon Massacre in Shinagawa!

"What the...?!" Jirou said, looking through the article. "Triad group in Shinagawa? Massacred by masked vigilante?!"

"That's the thing, the Triad group in question... Wugui Gonghui were mentioned to be very thorough... but they got torn apart by Shichisei," Yaoyorozu said, a bit disturbed by the details.

"The way it sounds, it sounds like the aftermath... of a very gory horror movie," Jirou responded, albeit with some disgust. However, she was scared stiff, because she has to acknowledge the possibility that Yaoyorozu might be right: Midoriya's teacher and this Shichisei might be the same people.

"Not only that, but you remember the Sports Festival?"

Ochako and Jirou shuddered, remembering how Midoriya fought Todoroki, it was... intense. Then they saw Kensei fight and with the revelation that he was holding back, it makes one wonder, how truly powerful is his teacher?

However, Uraraka had a different opinion.

"Yaomomo! I mean, Midoriya might have a point, we won't know if...you know, ask him directly, right?" said Ochako, trying to be reasonable. "Plus he seemed hurt by what you did."

Yaoyorozu had to think for a bit but pinched the bridge of her nose, realizing this was the wrong way to go about it.

"Great... just great... he's likely gonna be like that for the entire week."

UA Hallway

Midoriya was heading towards the bathroom, wanting to clear his head for a bit. As he was walking, he felt a hand tap on his shoulder.

"Hey, Midori!"

He quickly turned around, seeing that it was Ashido.

"Oh... hey, Ashido."

The pink girl knew something was off right away, now asking: "What happened in the cafeteria?"

Letting out a sigh, he replied: "Yaoyorozu believes my master's a bad influence and..." he wasn't sure if she should know about Shichisei.

"What the hell?!"

"Ashido...?"

"Okay, Kensei might be enigmatic BUT he's not a bad guy at all!" Ashido said, near-yelling. "Yaomomo has no right to do that-"

"She also thinks that a certain vigilante and he are the same-"

"A...Are y...you serious?" sputtered Ashido, wonder what that raven-haired girl was thinking. "When and how did she jump to something like that?! Wait!"

"Wha?"

"Yaomomo, she's in the cafeteria, right?" Ashido asked, a bit incensed. Midoriya's eyes widened, realizing what she might do.

"A-Ashido, there's no need to!" Midoriya pleaded. "Look, I know she overstepped. There's no reason to get mad at her, I mean, I'm still mad at her, but there's no reason for you too either!"

Ashido looked at the boy, saying: "Look, there's something weird about this. Yaomomo's being a bit irrational, so let's hear it from her... what? You thought I was gonna punch her lights out?"

Midoriya was a bit surprised, sputtering a yes.

"Midori, I'll only do that if she's going to be difficult," Ashido said with a smile. "So I only hope she's a bit more calmer now."

"E-Eh... I guess."

"Midori, don't worry. I'm sure this will smooth over," Ashido responded, cracking her fingers for a bit. However, Midoriya was going to follow her instead, but for the express purpose of making sure things don't get too out of hand.

As they were walking to the cafeteria...

UA Cafeteria

Yaoyorozu was stewing for a bit, but Uraraka and Jirou are trying to think of a way to mend things. In Jirou's thoughts, she honestly believed it would take a while to fix and right on the day before internships.

However, Jirou's enhanced hearing picked up a pair of footsteps coming from the hallway. It was Ashido with a worried Midoriya, but something was off with the pink girl. Despite the smile, something about it promised retribution...with a side dash of pain.

"Hey, Yaomomo. So... Midoriya and I were talking... wanna explain why he's feeling down?"

"Ugh..." Yaoyororzu said, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I really should not have said those things."

"What things?"

"How Kensei and Shichisei are the same people..."

This struck a chord within Ashido, suggesting that Kensei was a vigilante was pretty pushing it...but an infamous vigilante? She needed to ask more. With a exhale, she asked how she came to this conclusion. Momo responded with the following: her phone showing an article of Shichisei. The title said it all.

Wanted Fugitive Found Mutilated in Yokohama Harbor!

The Work of Shichisei?

As Ashido was reading, she noticed a few key details with this story, but this didn't make sense for her.

- Kensei was a kind but realistic teacher. Shichisei was merciless.

- The fugitive in question was a wanted Russian hitman AKA The Hyperkiller

- Said hitman was a proficient MMA fighter

- That same hitman was eliminated in mere seconds according to CCTV footage

"This is bullshit, Yaoyorozu," Mina said, almost snarling. Uraraka was caught off-guard by the usage of her full name, Jirou too, but the latter feared about what coming next.

"Bullshit?" asked Momo with a raised eyebrow. "Say what you will, but evidence-wise? You have to admit, don't you think it's a bit suspicious that an infamous vigilante got house arrest instead and on top of that, last heard going through a teacher's certification program?"

"Are-Are you kidding me?" Ashido said, disbelieving what her classmate is saying. "You think that Kensei arguably was this Shichisei in the past?"

Momo was a bit unsure at this point but nodded yes.

The pink girl sighed a bit in disappointment. "Okay, option 2 then."

"Option-" said Momo as the collar of her uniform was grabbed...

SLAM!

The entire cafeteria was silent upon hearing that sound, but Midoriya burned it into his head: Mina used the floor as a springboard and delivered a leaping headbutt! Right into her nose.

Momo almost fell, almost, if Mina still didn't hold her collar.

"W-What the-" sputtered Momo, trying to strike back.

BOOM!

Mina punched her straight across the jaw before she even raised her arm up. She could have stopped there but that wasn't in the cards. She then unloaded several punches into her face, all jabs. Right into the nose too!

BOOM! BOOM! POW! POW!

POW! POW!

The last punch sending Momo onto the floor, gasping for air, but it looked like she was about to cry... but.

She got up, a little faster, but Momo was different.

"Ashido..." Momo spoke, but it seemed hardened. "You're fucking dead..." with a snarl.

"Huh, knew it."

Momo ignored it, then with increased anger, sent a fast punch!

POW!

Mina felt that her head briefly rattled, forcing her to realize that Momo wasn't as fragile as she thought. However, Momo wasn't stopping. Through her anger, she was able to score a successful hit.

SMASH!

Right into the liver, causing Mina to gasp in pain, but she felt her body forced down to the ground!

"I'm not done yet, you pink bitch!"

Ashido was tackled by Momo to the ground via double leg takedown, then mounted her, and started pounding away at her. Midoriya being shocked, was an understatement, wondering if he should intervene.

One part says nope while the other says the get the rest to separate them.

BAM!

A punch into the nose making Mina yelp, Momo snarling, saying: "Don't you fucking go to sleep on me!"

BAM! BAM!

POW!

BAM! BAM!

Punch after punch, some of those hits developing a sickening liquid sound, but it was stopped instantly by an elbow to the cheek. It was Mina, now bleeding just as much as Momo, who stopped her volley of hits.

"Yea, I'm fully awake."

"You...fucking...little..." Momo seethed. However, she felt arms around her, pulling her back, but she barked: "Oh, I'm not done with this bitch yet!"

Mina wiped the blood from her face, taking a Karate stance, egging her on.

"Let! Go! Of! Me!" Momo barked loudly to the person holding her back, revealed to be Shoji.

"You're not thinking clearly, take it easy and breathe-"

"Oh, I am! It's beating this bitch!" Momo yelled, snarling. He stomped on his foot, surprising him and worst of all, loosening his grip. She then went, throwing punches, but Mina saw it: they were amateurish at best.

WHIFF!

Crescent Kick. Blocked!

WHIFF!

Straight Punch. Parried!

POW!

Hook. Intercepted via uppercut!

Momo was dazed, but still kept closed fists, but saw that Mina was closer.

WHAM!

A fast but heavy low kick sent straight into Momo's leg, causing her to scream out in pain, but she let down her guard...

"Think fast, bitch!"

POW!

Momo's face went back, complete with a fully red nose, courtesy of a fast but lethal front kick. She flopped onto the floor once again, but the class rep was struggling to get up and at the same time, trying to wipe the blood off her face. However, she managed to get back up.

"Was that your best, Ashido?" Momo said, almost mocking her. Ashido responded by throwing another kick, but a big surprise was waiting!

BIFF!

Momo timed it, she truly did, executing a perfect forearm block against an otherwise devastating kick! She sent two punches into Mina's frame, forcing her back a bit, but the pink girl wasn't down yet...

She dashed forward but what was for naught, Momo backstepped a bit, and spun around for a spinning elbow strike!

WHAM!

"Ah, fuck!"

Mina was stunned, clutching her face in pain, but onlookers screamed for her to look out, especially since it was Kirishima. However, Momo raised her leg up...

BAM!

Mina felt a heavy impact! Right in her face. It was a decently executed shin kick. However, she shook it off, taking her stance once again while Momo did the same.

"H-H-Hey!" exclaimed Uraraka. "Stop this!"

"STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THIS!" yelled both. Both ran at each other, but Mina got in the next attack.

A solar plexus kick.

WHAM!

GAHCK!

Momo gagged as soon as the kick made contact, and most of all, stood still.

BAM!

What shocked the crowd was a double hit! Both Momo and Mina struck each other in the cheek at the same time. Mina wondered how the hell Momo went from struggling fighter to being able to go toe-to-toe with her, but there was only one conclusion: she was smart enough to figure out the mechanics of each strike after a period of time.

Both fighters had to back away, but Momo took the initiative...

SLAM!

"You...fucking..bitch..." Mina said, gasping. Momo delivered a heavy liver kick. The pink fell onto one knee, coughing for a bit, but rose up for another uppercut, but it hit nothing. As soon as she realized it, Momo was at her side, stance lowered, and ...

SLAM!

A deadly overhand punch was sent into Mina's surprised face! It sent her to the floor, but Momo quickly scooped her up and slammed her head into Mina's several times!

"How do you like that!"

BAM!

"You-"

BAM!

"Fucking-"

BAM!

"Pink-"

BAM!

"Bitch!"

Mina's head was leaning back, bleeding more than Momo who had an angered look.

"Keep talking..."

"The fuck was-"

POW!

Momo yelped as her face was hit again, but Mina kept at it. She unleashed a volley of strikes into Momo's already-damaged frame, but she's barely blocking. Some of 1-A being too frozen to intervene or running away from this barbaric fight.

"Had enough, Yaobitch?!" yelled Mina as she kept battering the onyx-haired girl with her strikes.

"No..." muttered Momo.

WHIP!

"What about you, bitch?" finished Momo after delivering a quick elbow strike into Ashido's face. The pink girl was stumbling a bit until her hair was grabbed...and...

WHAM!

A fist landing in her face! Ashido gasped a bit but mustered enough strength to uppercut her, making her release her hold. Mina now assumes a boxing stance while Momo smirks a bit, saying: "You're gonna finish this, Ashido?"

"Yea... and I'm betting you'll hit the floor at the end of this."

"Well..." responded Momo. "Let's get start-"

BAM! BAM! BAM! WHAM!

WHAM! WHAM!

BAM! WHAM!

Rose Flash!

A series of fast jabs were sent into Momo's further damaged face, 14 to be exact. As soon as the last one hit, Momo was standing still for a few seconds...but had a blank look on her face.

THUD!

She fell backward, complete with her mouth open, indicating that she was KO'ed. Ashido was panting, falling down to the ground, face-first... the fight was over.

"W...W...what the fuck...we were fucking useless..." muttered Jirou. Midoriya ignored the commotion, signaling for Uraraka and Jirou to help, some of 1-A wanted to help out too, but the green-haired boy didn't mind.

"Listen, make sure they don't wake up."

"Wait, why-" asked Kirishima.

"Do you really want Momo vs. Mina Round 2?" Izuku interrupted. Kirishima looked down, nodding no, followed by a few others.

"Okay, okay. Grab them by the legs. Gently."

As they carried the two, they made sure to take extra care, just so as not to aggravate current injuries, and top of that: preventing Round 2.

UA Staff Room

Iida was frustrated but actually angered... angered at the fact that Yaoyorozu decided to intervene. This was his problem, no one else's. A few deep breaths were needed to calm himself. He went ahead and turned in his internship application, specifically Manual.

The look on Aizawa's face said it all.

However, he said he wasn't going to pursue the Hero Killer, but in reality, he needed to take extra precautions when dealing with him. If he found him, that is.

'Well, Lunch Period is almost over... it's time to... wait, why are my classmates...!'

The sight of Yaoyorozu and Ashido, all covered in injuries, carried by 1-A sent a shock to his system. He needed a few minutes, but he wasn't going to ask for details, he just wants to get through the day.

UA Infirmary

A pink girl was stirring awake and an onyx-haired girl was slowly waking up, but there was a fair distance between the both of them, just to be sure. However, Midoriya and Jirou were there. Everyone else had to go back to class in the meantime.

"Uh...what happened?" Ashido slurred.

"You literally fought Yaoyorozu in the cafeteria," Midoriya stated. However, the moment Ashido heard that name, her eyes widened, but winced in pain upon moving.

"Ow...ow...ow...can't move...as...well..."

"Hey, Hey, Ashido," Midoriya said, trying to calm her. "Look, y-you beat her, there's no reason to keep-"

"Oh, no. There is. I wasn't done pounding her face in," Ashido said with a bit of fury. Yaoyorozu glared at her, despite the pain she was in, daring her to-

JAB!

"Ow! Jirou! What was-"

JAB!

"One. For being an idiot. Two. What was that, that's the first time I saw you angry."

"You know why, Jirou. This bitch started it!"

Jirou sighed but held her down in case while Midoriya did the same for Ashido.

"You wanna fucking start Round 2, Yaobitch?"

"That would imply that you won Round 1."

"...you fucking-"

"That's enough, you two!" said an older voice. The four looked towards the source, revealed to be Recovery Girl with a stern expression on her face. "You should be focused on recovering, not bickering with each other."

"She-"

"I don't care who started it, dearies. You're ending it now."

Both girls quieted but still glared at each other in the meantime. Recovery Girl just sighed in exasperation, wondering what exactly happened between these two. Wait, maybe wait till one of the staff comes by.

UA Entrance Grounds

Midoriya and Jirou both waited for their friends who were likely serving detention...

"Never knew Yaoyorozu had a temper..." muttered Jirou. "In fact, that's the first time anyone seen her angry."

"Then again...Ashido knows my master a bit, so something about that article set her off," said Midoriya.

As minutes passed, they saw the two, accompanied by a ragged-looking Aizawa.

"Problem Child, I'm leaving Ashido in your care. Jirou, I'm leaving the class rep in yours too," said the stern homeroom teacher. "Don't worry, I made sure they didn't fight again."

Both Jirou and Midoriya sighed in relief, but still noticed the tension between Ashido and Yaoyorozu, though still covered in bandages and dried blood...they still looked like they were ready to throw down once again.

"Ashido...for the love of-"

"Okay, I won't lay a finger on her, Midori. That I promise..."

That last part seemed forced, Midoriya thought.

"I promise not to lay a finger on Ashido either, you have my word, Midoriya," Yaoyorozu responded, though it felt robotic.

Aizawa sighed, realizing that this is the best possible outcome he's gonna get, saying: "Just be sure to keep them apart, preferably more than 2 meters."

In a few minutes, Ashido walked alongside Midoriya while Jirou walked with Yaoyorozu, but thankfully in the opposite direction.

"If I meet that bitch Ashido again, I'm-"

JAB!

"Ow, I'm still-"

JAB!

"Look, you're on thin ice with Aizawa, Yaoyorozu. So, please...calm yourself..."

Yaoyorozu glared a bit, but sighed, calming herself. "You're right, I shouldn't be getting this worked up. It's unbecoming of me."

"Hopefully, you'll keep that temper of yours in check, otherwise, I'm jabbing you, got it?" responded Jirou.

Yaoyorozu nodded, though she was still in some pain.

"Midori...don't worry...I won't punch that bitch-Yaobitch's face in the next time we meet."

"For some reason, I'm doubting that...extremely," Midoriya deadpanned.

"Okay...there's a reason for it: She fucking accused your teacher of being Shichisei! An infamous vigilante in the past. All the 'evidence' she has, it's...what's the word...oh, right, circumstantial!"

"Wait...you-"

"Of course not, Midori! I mean, for all we know, this Shichisei might be living in the underground. Kensei and this guy are way too different."

'One day, she'll have to know...but not now.'

"True, but well...there's something about that fight..."

"Oh god, are you going to say that was I too violent? I got that enough from Aizawa and Recovery Girl."

"No! I mean, the way you handled Momo, wow. That...looked...cool," Midoriya said, stumbling on the last parts.

"Oh my god!" Ashido exclaimed but her face formed a grin. "So you have a type! The ass-kicking type."

Midoriya had the decency to blush, sputtering a yes.

"Heh, what am I going to do with you?" Ashido answered, still grinning.

Iida Residence

As soon as Iida arrived, he saw his parents, mainly in the living room, listening to the news.

"Tenya, are you alright?" asked Mr. Iida who looked like an older version of Tensei, albeit with some facial hair.

"Yes, Father. I am fine."

"I understand that internships start tomorrow, am I right?"

Iida nodded.

"I just want you to be careful, that's all... especially with what happened to Tensei."

Iida clenched his fist briefly but calmed himself, answering: "Do not worry, Father. I will be cautious."

As soon as Iida made his way to his room, a brief vision of a glare appeared on his face...

"Heh, I'm getting close to you... Hero Killer. Just you wait."

The last few cracks were being made.

Author's Note: Why did I write Iida like this? Let's be honest, I'm surprised he didn't let his anger seep more in canon, and most of all, I'm surprised no staff or his friends thought of reporting this to someone. On top of this, I always planned on Momo being antagonistic. The fight is also on A03 too.

Oh, boy. This fight was fun to write.

Rose Flash - A series of jabs, 14 to be exact, sent straight into the opponent's face. Its main inspiration is Flash, courtesy of Gaolang Wongsawat from Kengan Ashura.
