The 116th Hunger Games:

Broken Leg

Ivy had an injury before the Games began, self inflicted in the tube room she had jumped repeatedly on her right leg to break it. The reason? The other tributes, mainly the fact that other than the weak Careers they where all under the age of sixteen. Not a challenge, or at least not enough of a challenge for Ivy. Hence the broken leg. Rising into the arena of waterfalls Ivy leg was unusable as a broken leg is most of the time.

Even though she had a broken leg she still planned to walk to the Cornucopia and grab the nearest weapon and get hacking. The plan went off so well that she beat some of the other running tributes to the nearest weapon. Allowing for her to kill the pair from Eight with one slash.

Looking around at the nearby tributes, seeing that even with more weapons and supplies than she had she still had a good chance of beating them she turned and walked away and up one of the nearby mountain/cliffs with water pouring from the middle of it.

Sword Cut Along Back

Ivy hadn't planned on taking out her only competition so early in the Games but the girl from Two had forced her hand. The two of them battled to the death in ankle height water which wasn't a problem until Ivy slipped on an upturned rock. Falling down into the water she gasped with pain as her broken leg slammed into the ground, the pain she felt was even greater when the girl from Two took the time to giver a deep, long cut along her back. A pained shout forced its way out of her throat before morphing into a roar of anger.

Ivy managed to leap to her feet and whirl her axe around her head, forcing the other girl to back away from her a savage grin on her face. Practically hunched over and somehow managing to stop herself from buckling over she brought her axe up to fight.

"Not one to go down without a fight I see," the girl slashed her sword in a figure eight and then leapt towards Ivy.

Bringing her axe up Ivy slashed and blocked with a fury unmatched by the girl from Two who began to falter under the furious blows of the girl from Seven. Ivy brought her axe up above her body and then quickly drew her only other weapon, a small knife. The girl from Two brought her sword up to block the strike and felt the stab of a knife in her stomach, she brought her sword down to slice Ivy's arm off but the axe was brought down in time. Boom!

Broken Nose

The only thought going through Ivy's brain was that she was nearly done, only two others remained against her, the weak pair from Twelve. No challenge. The water level had risen again, now up to her knees and it was moving. She was like a bird flying against the wind always pushing against the current. As she was coming up on top of a nearby rock she heard a scrabbling step, immediately she held her axe up and ready in case the panther mutts where back for another taste.

Luckily for Ivy it was the pair from Twelve who looked even more starved than when they had been Reaped. Ivy seeing two knives clutched in both of their hands decided to drop her axe and pulled out her knife.

"Get behind me Slash." The boy was younger and had a tear trickling down his cheek as he stepped behind the girl, only a year or two older.

Ivy didn't say a word just gestured for them to come hither. The girl slowly walked across the rock and stood in front of Ivy knives shaking in her hands she struck forwards. Ivy dodged to the side and cut her throat quickly. She gasped and blood spilled out of her throat before she slumped over at Ivy's feet. Slash whimpered and gave a small yell of anger before charging Ivy. Ivy shook her head in annoyance at the boy's seemingly non existent brain and once again dodged to the side before clubbing the boy on the head with her knife pommel.

The boy slumped to the ground next to the dead girl and groaned, Ivy brought her dagger up and just before she stabbed the boys head he leap up and smashed his fist against Ivy's nose. She fell back in agony as blood leaked from her nose. Standing up Ivy gave a growl of annoyance and instead of playing with the boy like last time she struck fast and hard. Boom!

Ivy put an arm to her nose as she stumbled towards the hovercraft ladder as the Capitol audiences reaction played through the arena. The victor, damaged and bruised but still untouchable.
